Talent is Sexy...
Excellency is the quality that people wants to see.
But talent without intellect is dim.
Talent with intellect is illuminating!

Polish, finesse, sophistication, intellectual, classy and well rounded is the impressive quality that I called 'Beyond Sexy!

I love this church more and more!
The piano concert tonight by Thomas Pandolfi was so amazing!

Fabulous! Absolutely Fabulous!
Is the perfect word to describe the excellent performance of the very fine young pianist that master his pieces from Chopin and Gershwin! Intense, brilliant, sensual, brave and articulate!

And most importantly, he played my favorite song! The number from The Phantom of the Opera! "All I ask of you"!

Makes my Sunday afternoon absolutely wonderful!
S'marvelous!

This is a moderate to liberal Baptist church.  The architecture is ornate neo-Gothic, and the stained glass windows are incredible.  Don't expect a typical Baptist church - there are acolytes, a pipe organ, and incredible preaching.

There is a growing group of young professionals at this church.  The number of families with children is also on the rise.

This is the church where Harry Truman and Jimmy Carter attended while they lived in the White House.

Parking is difficult - best to take the Metro, walk, find street parking, or use the parking garage at 17th and P Streets.  There is a small parking lot behind the church.

The church is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, the American Baptist Convention, the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, and the Alliance of Baptists.  Be forewarned - this church is Southern Baptist in name only.  There is a woman serving as acting senior pastor, and there is no preaching about hell and damnation here.
