I probably need to slow down on these instant reviews - but I must say that I had a great experience tonight meeting with Dr. Davis. I have a membership at Noe Valley Clinic so I was able to communicate with my regular doctor over the holiday weekend, but she could only speak to me on the phone and couldn't see me. Unfortunately there is only so much you can diagnose over the phone - so as it turned out, I needed to go to urgent care immediately. The thought of going to the ER made my stomach turn - waiting hours and hours in an uncomfortable waiting room, exposing myself to bubonic plague...the possibilities were endless.

Luckily I remembered reading about urgent care clinics and on-call doctors on Yelp before - so I did a search and found another urgent care clinic. I called them and left a message - and luckily they were out so apparently they forwarded my message to Dr. Davis. As luck would have it, his office is very close to my apartment - literally only a few blocks away. He fit me in within 30 minutes of my call, which was awesome.

You can read the other reviews for descriptions of the office, his receptionist (apparently his wife as well - a very pleasant woman) etc. All of the reviews are true - I never felt rushed, the fees are reasonable and everything was very pleasant and very convenient. I'm sure that it was the exact polar opposite of what my experience would have been if I had gone to SF General. It's sad, but there is a huge healthcare divide in this city - and I'm so, so lucky to be on the good side. That all said, Dr. Davis' fees are probably less than what you would pay if you were uninsured at the ER, I'm guessing.

The other thing that *totally* made it worth it was that he also dispenses medication for his patients - he sent me away with everything I needed. That means: no schlepping off to the all-night pharmacy and waiting for god knows how long - so convenient!

I'm really happy that I found Dr. Davis, and I think that I will take his advice of opening an HSA - could use it for situations like these. After all, it's not like you get sick only during business hours. There's no reason to forgo medical care just because it's after hours or on the weekends.

Oh yes, and I'm feeling better already - hopefully this will be cleared up in a few days.

What a great service!

I went to the House Doctor today because while I am insured, trying to navigate my healthcare providers website for a general doctor to tell me I don't have the pig ills proved to be impossible. I must have called 5 or more places that either didn't answer, provide any useful information or have time to see me. Not only that but you have to pick doctors at random without knowing anything about them or their practices. Not my idea of "care".

So of course I turned to Yelp. You  never fail me, Yelp. You led me to The House Doctor and he not only saw me 2 hours after I called, he also assured me I don't have the H1N1 (so I can go back to work) and he also gave me extremely informative, helpful medical advice to help me heal.

Not only was he helpful, but he didn't throw me out or look terribly annoyed when I wouldn't shut up with my non-stop questions about natural alternatives to things like antibiotics which for me, cause more problems than they cure.

Best of all, they provide a service to mail a claim form to your insurance company (if you have one) to recuperate the fees you pay. No paperwork for me for an out of network doctor! That alone is worth 5 stars.

Would definitely go back and would refer a loved one without hesitation. He was very honest, up-front, open minded, no BS. Unlike any doctor I've ever seen.

I am going to try and avoid cliche's  and repetition, but it goes without saying that Dr. Davis has earned all of his many 5 star reviews including this one. He is an absolute professional and a caring individual. He is everything that a doctor should be. I took my partner to see him when she was sick and he was the only doctor to offer us help. After numerous doctors telling us nothing was wrong or that there was nothing that they could do, Dr. Davis took an hour and a half to listen attentively and prescribe a homeopathic and traditional medicine regiment and he even gave us a discount.

We went back in for a check up and again received very kind, helpful and professional medical advise and a groovy vitamin shot to the bum. Dr. Davis is awesome! He's so cool I overlook the fact that I have to crawl through his tiny front door with my huge 6'5'' frame. He even has a nice big flat screen tv in the waiting area, so you can have a friend drive you to see him when you're sick and not feel bad about them being bored while waiting. Oh and don't forget the free candy and water. Ginger chews by the ginger people! This place awesome. It is by far the only place I would ever want to go myself, so it goes without saying that if you're looking for a Doctor who cares and knows their stuff call Dr. Davis first.

The previous reviews about Dr. Davis are all correct...really no need to repeat what others have said, but here is my experience.

Living in Potrero Hill, there are 2 Urgent Care facilities within one mile from my place that were both closed on the weekend. I could have gone to UCSF, but it is clear over on the other side of town and would have rather not been stuck waiting for hours on end to get some help for the precarious situation I was in on a Saturday morning.

I called The House Doctor and got the answering machine. I had a return call within 2 minutes from his receptionist and scheduled an appointment for later that morning. Dr. Davis was out on a house call at that moment, but he called me before coming in to help diagnose over the phone prior to the office visit. I have never had a doctor be proactive like that before.

I had a painful visit...medically speaking that is, but Dr. Davis had the skills to remedy my situation quickly and hooked me up with the prescription to make it all better.

A few days later Dr. Davis gave me a call to check up on things with a follow up appointment to see how I was healing and again he impressed me with his follow up. Never really had a doctor care about my health like that, which made me feel good.

Great all around experience! I would go back to see Dr. Davis.

You don't know what your missing here!

Dr. Davis is truly amazing.  I wasn't feeling tip top and just could not figure out what the heck was going on with me.  So, a friend suggested I pop into Dr. Davis.  Long story short here I went in and was highly impressed from the get go.

Dr.  Davis took the time to listen, learn and question what was going on.  He is not one of those Docs who checks in and out in 3 1/2 minutes then tells you whats wrong with you. He takes the time and makes you feel like you should.

In no time I was  back up and running like a champ! Thanks Dr. Davis!

What are you doing reading all these great reviews? Call him now!

If there were more than 5 stars to give, I would give them to Dr. Davis! All of the great things everyone has said about him are do true. I went to see Dr. Davis at 5pm on a Sunday for an emergency. First of all, I was surprised to even find someone that would see me at that time! Dr. Davis spent almost 2 hours with me, not rushing at all and being very thorough. I would NEVER have gotten that kind of care at an ER or Urgent Care.
Everything about Dr. Davis's office is great, extremely clean and professional. The standard of care there is extremely high as well. I was being a big baby getting injected with a local anesthetic and Dr. Davis was extremely patient and every time I asked for a break (aka every 3 seconds!) he gave me one and didn't rush me at all.
After that first visit, I went back to see Dr. Davis for a follow up and he also asked me to call and check in with him a few days after that! How many Doctors do that? He spent time with me on the phone answering questions and giving me info, he certainly didn't have to do that, and i think most doctors wouldn't (or would charge you for it!) but thats the kind of care you get at Dr. Davis'!

Dr. Davis came over to look at my dad who was complaining from high blood pressure.  He is very thorough with his examination and extremely responsive, all you could ask from your doctor.  He took his time and was extremely patient with us.  Highly reccomended.  The next day, he followed up on a prescription request immediately.  Very professional service, and pleasant experience with my first house call.  Thanks, Dr. Davis

Basically, I have to say all that is said about Dr Davis is TRUE!!!!  He really does CARE!  All this "returning phone call" business, and "sending you home feeling confident and with proper medicine in hand"--- again, all true... unbelievable this man.... a living saint.
I personally, as Dr Davis knows, have been seeking more of a homeopathic / herbal route for my current condition.  He strikes again.  I am  now on a daily routine fitting all the proper standards I've been hoping for and seeing great results.
I plan to follow up with Dr Davis throughout my condition and as it betters because I know he will always do his best to look out for my interests and more importantly to HEAL me!!!  I feel so lucky to have found such a rare doctor in today's medical field.

So much better than going to the hospital!

Imagine a place where you can email your doctor 24/7 and get super-fast responses, when you see the doctor, he'll actually sit down with you and look you in the eye and answer ALL your questions without rushing out to the next room.  Imagine not having to wait 30, 60 or 90 minutes in a waiting room full of sick people.

A+

The first time I went was because I thought I might have had Strep (didn't) and I just got back from having a lipoma removal.  Both were great experiences and Dr. Davis is absolutely the first person I'll be going to with everything.

Not to mention that for those of us without health insurance, he's super cheap.  I doubt anyone could find a better value anywhere in the area.

Thanks Dr. Davis!

P.S.  Did I mention that there is ample free parking a few feet from the door?  :)

Dr. Davis is the best doctor I've ever had. He knows about almost everything, keeps current with what's new, and researches things he doesn't know about.

He's available 24x7, and never seems bothered even if you call in the middle of the night. He checks in to make sure everything is going well, even after you see him.  And he includes you in his analysis and explains things well.

There are very few people with the heart and compassion, in any industry or field. It's great to have someone who cares so much about you keeping an eye on your health and well being.

I got sick with a really bad case of strep throat a couple weeks ago, and not having insurance, i did my best to just wait out the sickness. After only two days, i felt more sick than i could ever remember feeling. Too bad I didn't have Dr. Davis' number. After getting rejected by every doctor I called for an appointment, I went to the ER at SF General. After nearly 2 hours in the waiting room, I was finally treated by somewhat friendly staff, hung around for three hours waiting on test results, got my medicine, went home. However, after all the medicine was gone, the sickness started coming back.....

Instead getting mistreated in the pricey ER again, I found Dr. Davis. All the waiting I did was about 10 seconds at his front door. He got my test results instantly and treated me with meds that i feel confident will work. He was friendly, honest and seemed incredibly knowledgeable. On top of all that, he gave me a ride to the BART station after the appointment.  The House Doctor is the ultimate alternative to large, overcrowded hospital, and more affordable as well if you have no insurance. This doctor is reliable and, well, just awesome.

Ever want medical care the old fashion way - where the doctor is available 24/7 and can make house calls, where you don't have to wait an eternity especially for urgent care, where the examination and treatment are granted more than 15 minutes, where the doctor actually cares and takes extra time and attention to your ailment, where you're not just a "case" being shuffled through the system?

Well, I found it!  Through an unfortunate accident where I severely injured my finger, I had to seek out either emergency or urgent care.  We found Dr. Justin Davis through the internet under "urgent care," and his service came up as http://TheHouseDoctor.com.  Nadia, who answered the phone was exceptionally courteous and even booked a 2 hour time slot for me with the doctor.  Upon arrival to the house in Potrero Hill, right by the big hospital, I was immediately wary.  This is not the typical white, sterile medical building.  This is a warm, inviting place that felt like a spa.  Hmmm.  Luckily, a Brit who drove me, informed me that this is the way medical services are provided in Europe.  (Sadly in US, we have de-personalized the medical experience and are subject to the "system.")  That reassurance and my bleeding finger urged me on.

Much to my surprise, Dr. Justin Davis is a superbly competent doctor, with gentle hands to numb my finger and delivered 7 cosmetic-surgery quality stitches (think about it - 7 stitches on a little Asian pinky finger).  Not only did he go the extra mile in time and stitches to ensure minimal scarring, he also put medical "glue" to further ensure a good closure.  My little "Franken-finger" is now on the mend.

A special note to Nadia, his office assistant as well.  She was exceptionally gracious having worked for the airline and hotel industries.  She offered delicious, calming tea during treatment, and a rose with chocolate for the road after I got my stitches out 7 days later.

Wake up, Americans, and enjoy patient care the good old fashion way - a well-trained, competent doctor delivering exceptional, humane services in a warm and calming environment. (And make house calls if you're unable to get to the office!)

From a headache to my yearly checkup, even emergency care of my "killer flu", Dr. Davis has always came though for me and my family with 1,000,000% He always answers eager to provide full attention, and returns calls promptly.
I have no need to see any other doctor because Dr. D pretty much knows everything.
I am sure if you are looking for a doctor who will provide attention, and take notice to what's going on with you, Dr. Davis is that!
This was my answer when i didn't want to explain my situations to a different doctor every time i came in, and wait for hours at a hospital like environment. The House Doctor is comfy, quiet, effective, and my number one choice to ANY health concern.
Thanks Dr. D!!!

My husband gashed his head on a tree branch while out doing a training run. His running partner took him to the closest ER and they said it would be a three hour wait so he decided to leave. When I got home from work I could see he obviously needed stitches. We did a search online and received a referral to Dr. Davis. It was about 7pm but once we described what had happened he said no problem, come on over. His office is calming and beautiful, he has a kind and gentle manner, he answered all of our questions patiently, and he did a great job treating my husband.

I just got back from Dr. Davis' practice, after deciding not to do late night ER for an infection but to wait for an urgent care facility. I was able to schedule with him via email, which deserves at least two stars. The office is beautiful.

Dr. Davis is very knowledgeable about Western medicine and about herbs, supplements, and more Eastern practices. This is a great perspective, since he's not just trying to max out your body with drugs, or your credit card.

I must say that I was dubious (found him on Yelp) because of the five star reviews and the fact that a few of the reviewers have only this review to their credit and no picture. Take it from me and my wealth of Yelpian knowledge, this is a well-earned rating.

Dr. Davis provides exceptional service. His personal care and genuine concern for his patients should serve as a model for all MDs.

Dr. Davis provides a humanistic approach to healthcare that separates him above all other physicians that I have seen.  In addition to being a medical doctor [first-and-foremost], with a wall of medical degrees to prove it, I noticed that he is also highly credentialed in practice of non-western medicine.

I have been seeing Dr. Davis for about three years now.  Despite the fact that I live in Berkeley, and work in the North Bay, when in need of medical council, I make a trip and go see the best!  What can I say? I am a committed patient, because Dr. Davis is committed to me!

Thank goodness for the House Doctor, Dr. Davis!

He has been my doctor for several years since before he relocated to the San Francisco Bay area, and Dr. Davis continues to be my doctor from afar. I also have a local backup doctor, but I hate dealing with and going to his office. When I call my local doctor, I just get voice mail (is there anything more annoying?) and it's impossible to get a person on the line unless you want to pay a bill. Then once you walk in the office, the receptionists are dim and inefficient, not to mention that the typical wait is 45 minutes to 2 hours when I have an appointment. Plus, instead of actually seeing my doctor, they usually make me see a nurse because my doctor sees dozens of people a day and does not have time for me.

The House Doctor is the antithesis of today's stereotypical medical practice, and believe me, it's a good thing! He is always available for me, and if I have any questions or health concerns, I simply call or E-mail him and communicate directly with him. He always calms my worries with educated advice. He even writes me prescriptions when needed and has written orders for me to go to a local lab (saving me a visit to my local doctor's office, thankfully).

Doctor Davis has doctored me for years providing me with an array of medical services. He has given me TB tests and booster shots when needed; he has performed minor surgeries (mole removals, etc.) on me several times; he has given me physicals; he palpated a little lump in my finger and explained what it was (not cancer); he always educates me on the benefits and risks of treatments and procedures when I inquire.

Please realize how rare it is to find an M.D. that simultaneously practices ancient traditions of medicine, such as Chinese medicine and yoga. Once, after I flew across the country to San Fran, I arrived with severe neck and back pain to the point that I could barely move. On three consecutive days, Dr. Davis gave me an acupuncture treatment, and each time my pain and tension lessened substantially. I know it was his treatments that helped me because normally when I feel that knotted up, it takes at least a few weeks for the tension to subside. I would not have been able to fly back home, much less enjoy the rest of my trip, had Dr. Davis not alleviated my pain.

Like me, Dr. Davis has traveled extensively internationally, and I always consult him before going outside of the U.S. He calls in prescriptions for general antibiotics to bring in case of emergency, and he advises me on anything else health-related that I should know for my trip (i.e. recommended inoculations, potential health hazards, malarial risk).

Over the holidays this past winter, my great-aunt-in-law flew in one morning to stay with us for a few days. An hour later, she realized that she had forgotten most of her medications, for blood pressure, diabetes, etc. Because she had recently filled her prescriptions, the pharmacy would not refill them without a doctor's say-so, even after I explained the situation several times. Her regular doctor's office was closed that day, and it was going to be a big ordeal to go through the after-hours routine with their office. Afraid that our elderly aunt was going to die on us (she was supposed to schedule bypass surgery to take place within the next couple weeks), I called Dr. Davis early in the morning (we're on Eastern time here...sorry for that call, Doctor!), explained the situation, and he did us the favor of calling in the prescription to our local pharmacy. Half an hour later, our great aunt had her needed medication and we could all take a breath and enjoy the get together. Dr. Davis really saved the day!

I could go on and on about Dr. Davis, his amazing assistant / wife and her delicious food, the adorable therapy dog, and the beautiful office, but to me, the most important quality about having Dr. Davis as my doctor is having someone that I trust 100% who is available and accessible virtually all the time. Even though we now live across the country from one another, Dr. Davis is still my primary healthcare provider. I use his services twenty-five times more than I use those of my local doctor and his associates.

If you want a doctor whom you feel is YOUR doctor--someone who knows you, cares about you, and is readily available to attend to your needs--I recommend Dr. Davis to the highest. We are continuously trying to persuade him and his wife to move back to Florida to be our local house doctor!  His level of service and caring is nonpareil.

Dr. Davis is GREAT!  This is the first time I've made the effort to write a review. I hope I can provide some insight for anyone who is unafraid of questioning doctors and unrelenting about expectations for compassionate, intelligent, and quality healthcare.

I confess:  I can be a horribly difficult patient.  I reviewed my charts and vitals, removed my own catheter and "discharged myself" from the hospital after in-patient surgery once when the wait for "physician discharge" was beyond what I found acceptable.  And I certainly answered the phone and spoke to the doctor when he frantically called me at home.

Last week, I got a stomach virus and was vomiting until I was almost delirious with misery.  Dr. Davis responded to an email.  Having him come to my home and avoiding the Urgent care and ER room wait made it more bearable.

During his visit, I found his bedside manner very soothing.  My fiancée was frantic, I was delirious and vomiting, the dogs were barking, our small cramped home was a smelly mess, and there he was, just calmly making a space for himself practically on the floor, projecting positive energy and going about the business of being a healer and getting to know us a little.

I believed him when he made his diagnosis because his exam was thorough and he was actively listening. He gave me 2 shots and I was pleasantly surprised and comforted by his staying until I stabilized.  The fact that he left me with a regimen of medication that was the perfect amount and combination for my recovery saved me quite a bit of money. I got 3 different medications, a total of 5 pills.  If I only needed a pill for 1 day, that's what I got from him, not a prescription for 30 days.   He also called and checked on me daily until I was well.

So, as I sit feeling well again, I'm glad to know that he's also a primary care physician and that he has forms that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement if you have it.  He's very knowledgeable about Healthcare in general and gracious to share his time educating me via email dialogue.

I am going to RUN - not walk - to get on his patient roster.  And I can recommend him without reservation to anyone who needs a responsive (even by email - yeah!), intelligent, and caring doctor with reasonable fees.

I have so much to say but see that others have done an eloquent job so I'll keep this breif..I feel like it was all dream. That's how I feel about my visit to doctor Davis last night. I was nervous, unsure and apprehensive to go to a doctor. I didn't want to go to the emergency room because it gave me more anxiety just thinking about it. so I found him and his wife tucked away in a nice home near my house. He and his wife were so accommodating. It was the best experience I have EVER had with a doctor, hands down! he knew what he was doing and took the time to find out what was wrong with me. Not life threatening but more severe than i thought. In the end I walked away feeling at peace. peace of mind. and that's what it's about right?
oh and before i left his wife had filled out my insurance papers and placed them in a bag with a bottle of fiji water and two ginger mints. worth every penny!

Growing up in Sacramento under a family doctor and not having immediate access to a doctor out here in San Francisco can be frustrating at times. So, to solve that problem, I trusted handy Yelp. I noticed he is also listed under urgent care, which was my case, kinda. But anyways. I felt I needed to see a doctor today, weaving an appointment to such a packed day itself for me. I emailed the office through  the helpful contact page on their website with an open time frame I was available for an appointment, and within a few hours, I heard back from Dr. Davis in an email AND a voicemail with an available time slot. Although I was unable to reply back right away, when I did, they were still willing to see me. Agreeing with other reviews, he does practice in such a way that makes you feel important and you can see the passion he has to help others, rather than other offices where they assume you are there just get a quick, direct diagnosis and a prescription. Not always the case. And, not here with the house doctor.

Another thing that caught my attention, was how technology "forward" his pratice was. Not saying I felt like the receptionist was a robot, who by the way was very nice and reassured that I wasn't late, although I felt I was, but how user-friendly the website is, and the surprisingly quick responses of emails. Today, many practitioners are still apprehensive about the use of some technology. Also Dr. Davis' intertwining western and eastern medicine practices just shows how much more thorough and specific to the case the diagnosis will be. So, altogether, Dr. Davis thruly is the house doctor.

I had a great experience with The House Doctor!!!

1. Super friendly service all around
2. A real @ home atmosphere. (like going home to mom)
3. Dr. Davis was knowledgeable and listened patiently to my needs
4. I got an appointment the next day (unheard of!)

This place beats going to a clinic any day. I felt very comfortable and would definitely go back for any urgent care needs in the future.

Dr. Davis is wonderful, and I can't recommend him enough.  A few weeks back, I had a staph infection that got really out of control, but I only had a few hours in town before I had to leave on a business trip.  I found Dr. Davis on Yelp and decided to take a chance.

He was absolutely great - not only did he make a housecall (which ended up being a pretty involved procedure, since I had to have an abcess drained), but he called and followed up a few weeks later, just to make sure everything was OK.

He reminds me of what doctors used to be, before insurance issues made the practice more about policy and less about people.  I'd recommend him to anyone.

This guy is the best. I called him at 10:30pm with a rather embarrassing emergency.  (Let your imaginations run wild) I cabbed it over, and he was ready to help me. Very open minded. He is what I always imagined a good doctor to be. Like a TV doctor, he's that good!

Sometimes it's easy to forget that people as wonderful as Dr. Davis and his wife Nadia exist. Rose L. tells no lies, I do have a rather complicated case of fibromyalgia. As anyone with chronic pain knows, finding a doctor can be a source of much frustration. Dr. Davis has an unparalleled level of respect and investment in his patients. My first appointment with him involved a detailed medical history but also, of much importance to me, an equally in depth analysis of my current physical symptoms that involved a level of active and attentive listening I've rarely witnessed in the modern medical world. My symptoms are all over the place and it's difficult to know what's related, what's significant, and what is worth mentioning and Dr. Davis is ever patient with this process. I have seen many doctors who after a routine and cursory examination have simply offered me some cocktail of prescription medicine, of little interest to me. Dr. Davis integrates his numerous areas of knowledge, calling upon his extensive understanding of Eastern medicine and seamlessly combining this with his clearly impressive understanding of Western medicine, to find a treatment plan that suits you. As my never ending review indicates, I really believe in what Dr. Davis and Nadia are doing in this practice. Go see them.

Ok, this is premium medical care. I highly recommend Dr. Davis! His office is a beautiful, serene oasis. His demeanor is delightful, he is attentive, patient, and thorough. He stitched my hand up after an accident in the kitchen invoving the edge of a can-- no biggie really, but I was a little freaked out, truth be told. Dr. Davis made it all better with stitches, tetanus booster, and a little something to deal with the pain. I truly felt an enormous amount of relief after Dr Davis's superb medical attention. Will definitely be back here should I need medical care!

This review is so, so, so very long overdue . I will try my best to make a long story short, but may have to apologize to everyone who reads this up front this for my inability to do that!

Way back in August 2008, like most, my first interaction with Dr. Davis was due to an emergency situation that needed attention, but that did not meet MY criteria for spending hours in an ER (had fallen down a small flight of stairs and was in tremendous lower back pain). I called Dr. Davis, he made a home visit, and I was seen quite promptly. Dr. Davis was very professional, caring, gathered my entire medical history, took his time in diagnosing me, and addressed every question I had . It was not a rushed experience in any sense of the word, as I have been (as you probably have also) to some MD's who constantly keep checking the clock because they obviously have something more important to do than talk to their patients!

OK, so he is a wonderful MD but here is the part that made me think I was in the Twilight Zone!! Dr. Davis even took psychosocial and mental health status history from me because I was a relatively new Californian having lived in NYC my entire life until almost 1 year ago. Dr. Davis initiated questions regarding the reason for my relocation, social network, employment, supports, and the level of adjustment to my new environment. He even took the time to make suggestions regarding non medical issues, but about California, based on my interests, lifestyle and desired activities. Are you kidding me? I had "lucked up" and found an MD who assesses the whole person and shows that level of compassion and concern for ME - the patient? While Dr. Davis's bedside manner, level of expertise and personality made me feel so comfortable - his concern for me as a person and new Californian made me inquire about if he would be my primary care physician before he concluded that initial visit with me. Doing a cost vs. benefit analysis, to get to experience Dr. Davis - and to now have him as my PCP - I'd fall down the stairs again....this time on purpose :-)

Dr. Davis has been my PCP since 8/08 and I could not be happier. Beginning in 9/08, I have experienced a very trying time medically (related to medical issues other than the fall, my back is totally healed). Dr. Davis has called me "out of the blue" because he had attended a seminar presented by a Specialist who Dr. Davis was so impressed by that he called me to provide me the contact information and to encourage me to consider seeing this Specialist. Dr. Davis is in a constant state of learning and I could never imagine him becoming "stagnant " regarding current medical innovations and treatment - both traditional and non traditional. He has routinely done research regarding the symptoms of my health challenges, and recommended both traditional and non traditional treatment plans. Dr. Davis does not forget his patients or their needs, and when times are medically challenging - he is there with you every step of the way, never giving up , trying to get to the source of the problem and tweaking your treatment plan as needed if the symptoms do not dissipate. I am also extremely happy to report that any referral to a specialist he has provided me has been to an MD of his same extremely high caliber .

For the sake of full disclosure, unhealthy I know, but, I am a smoker.
I have had some previous MDs tell me I need to stop and it pretty much ended there. I have a double Masters -so I had already figured out that smoking is bad, but it is an addiction after all! Dr. Davis was even different in that respect. We had a discussion about the health benefits of stopping smoking, AND he gave me a resource for a class to attend., He also offered his support if I I needed it to become a non smoker. And for the first time in my life, I am REALLY trying to quit.

His office is beautiful, you can always find parking (In SF - WOW!) and it is a comfortable and tastefully decorated environment,. Dr. Davis respects an appointment time, however, because he does not rush his patients (and you know some folks need to talk more than others), so if he is in the process of finishing up when you arrive, both he and Nadia keep you apprised quite frequently as to the time you'll be seen. Speaking of Nadia, she completes and is the perfect compliment to the practice with her professionalism, positivity, pleasant personality and welcoming nature.

OK, so I guess I lied - I did not make a long story short! But hey, I apologized up front!

For me, there just is not enough I can say about, or enough YELP stars I can give Dr. Davis' practice. Even now, I still do not feel I have really given justice to him in this review as to how very much I value him, trust him, respect him, am impressed by him, and what he has meant to me.

But because of all of the above (plus so much more), it was a "no brainer" for me that Dr. Davis has me (and soon my Mom) as a patients for life!

Dr. Davis is exceptional.  I emailed him today, Saturday at noon, with a question about my treatment and he called me back within 30 minutes.  We discussed my options and he really cares whether or not I get better and have resolution to my health issues.  I'm blown away.  With so much turmoil in the world, it's refreshing to cross paths with a quality individual such as Dr. Davis.

Dr. Davis and his wife Nadia have one of the most amazing practices I have ever been too.  They really know how a person should be treated when visiting the doctor.  From my initial call to leaving their office after my appointment I felt really cared for on so many levels.  I wish there were more practices like this. Their office was full of good energy, tastefully furnished with a peaceful zen like feeling. Nadia fussed over me and made me a lovely cup of ginger tea. Since it was over the Christmas holiday Dr Davis gave me my first dose of Medication so I didn't have to deal with waiting at the Pharmacy while not feeling well. Thank you Dr Davis and Nadia you are a fantastic team.

This is the way a doctor visit should be!
Dr. Justin Davis is professional, courteous and genuine.  This is the best doctor and doctor visit that I have ever had.  Dr. Davis has surely become my doctor in the City.

I was pretty sick a week ago when I called Dr. Davis and he was able to see me right away (plus #1).  He met me at the front door to welcome me in. (plus #2).  I walk into his office and it is modern, comforting and resembles a spa more than a doctor's waiting room (plus #3). He has the professionalism one expects from a doctor but the kindness and humility we have come not to expect from doctors (BIG plus #4).  His office has all modern equipment and is really well organized (plus #5).  I was at ease and comfortable in his office (plus #6) as he diagnosed my strep throat and offered wonderful treatment (plus #7).  He is available 24/7 and encouraged me to call (even on Thanksgiving day!!!) if I did not feel better with the medication (PLUS #8).  Then, to boot, Dr. Davis called me a few days ago to check-up and make sure I was on the up n' up (PLUS #9).  For the best doctor's visit I never knew could happen. (Plus #10).

I never knew that medicine could be practiced in this manner.  And now, this is the only way I think it should be practiced.  For taking such great care of his patients and bringing a refreshing light of humanity to the medical profession I recommend Dr. Davis to anyone and everyone.
