Went here for the first time last night, it's very small! Not a totally bad thing I was just surprised because in pictures it looked bigger. With it being a smaller place I recommend making a reservation or at least calling ahead on a Friday night. The wait was about 30 minutes (again, not too terrible) and they have a handle of seats out front for you to people watch the street and they'll serve drinks while you wait - a big plus.
We were seated at a cute corner booth. My S.O. ordered the Honor burger with fries and I ordered the "Yuzu" sushi... The burger came out and we were waiting on the sushi for about 10 mins. Our server (who was VERY nice but I think was in training) said he'd go check where it was and then never let us know. We were looking for him after about another 10 mins when the manager (I'm assuming) came over and asked what I needed I told him. He went back to the kitchen and brought it right out, which means it was ready & just sitting there.
It's a little pricey but the atmosphere is great and the staff is really nice, I like the selection of beverages... One star removed for the wait on the food to be brought out at different times (20 mins apart is a little long) and maybe my expectations were too high but the food was not spectacular, it was good but not $15 burger good. -

I can understand why you can charge so much for Sandwiches - because it's BH. But, does that really mean you have to?
I don't think the quality of the sandwich deserves the price point. The drinks are pretty pricey too. The ambience is nice, the chairs are comfortable. I like the sauce they serve with the fries, it's a nice touch. Service is quick, but I think management needs to examine the price point.
Maybe I'm just not BH enough. Oh wait, I live around here, maybe I am. OR, maybe I just can't justify paying 18 bucks for a burger I could probably and have made better. -

My boyfriend and I came here the other week to celebrate a work promotion and had a great time.
We decided to come here on a whim, and so there weren't any seats available when we arrived. The place is pretty intimate with one long bar and only about half a dozen tables besides that. The host told us that it would be about an hour wait for a table, but the bar was first come, first served. After some debate we decided to wait, and put our name down for a table. The host was attentive with a good sense of humor. We only ended up waiting about 30 minutes before a table was ready for us.
As everyone else has already mentioned, the chicken sandwich is amazing. We also ordered a side of fries, and we loved the spicy mayo sauce that came with it - - very addicting. For drinks, we order a 13th Street and an Elder Collins, and both were perfect.
I would definitely recommend coming here for a night out with a small group of friends.
P.S. The bathrooms are really cool. -

The reviews do not lie or exaggerate. The crispy chicken sandwich is pretty darn good.
I have had the it lettuce wrapped and with bread. It is better with bread and very filling. With bread it is more than enough for two.
I look forward to trying the items on their menu when I finally have the chance to dine in the restaurant. -

Classic LA bar not cozy or with personality but solid for a drink with coworkers or catch up with a friend. Kind of random menu with sushi and sandwiches but our $12 cocktails were very good. The bartender and hostess were SO nice. We went at 9 pm on Thursday and were told it would be 20 min. They had lounge chairs outside to wait and ten minutes later hostess grabbed us to tell us there was a space at the bar. 13 street was a very sweet cocktail I enjoyed. There is valet but right down street parking lot is flat rate $5 at night.

Yum! Finally came here last night for a quick bite with a friend and I am now a fan. The first thing I noticed was the excellent customer service. All of the hosts/waiters are very nice, knowledgeable about the menu, and anyone walking by is more than willing to assist you which is great.
Like any Hillstone restaurant, the ambiance is very clean, simple, and nice. Really cool open bar area (I had just finished working out otherwise I would have indulged with a nice cocktail). Perfect place to grab drinks/food after work or to have a cute little date night stop at.
The food: um AMAZING! True to the Hillstone culture, the food options are simple, but the flavors are jam packed in every bite. Apparently they're known for their Crispy Chicken Sandwich so I had to order it, and I immediately fell in love. SO GOOD! My friend ordered their veggie burger which also looked rather tasty.
I can't wait to come back! -

Very cute bar with good drinks and good food. But, prepare to wait a very unreasonable amount of time for a table. We were told 15-45 minutes and we waited for over an hour and a half. This was all because people took up tables but we're not ordering any food or drinks. They just sat there... Very rude. And unfortunately the staff couldn't really do anything. It's really a loss for the business with sucks. The chicken sandwich was really good... But not worth the wait. They have he same one at hillstone. I'll probably go there next time. Erik was our bartender and server, and he was really great!

DEAR GOD THAT CHICKEN SANDWICH!
I would actually travel west of Vermont for that sandwich...
I mean not all the time because the west side crushes my soul and I can't stand Beverly Hills...
but if I was like forced over there and needed the most amazing fried chicken sandwich with honey mustard kale slaw of my life. -

This is a contender for one of the most scrumptious crispy chicken sandwiches in la, yet there are a few kinks that need to be addressed:
1) wait is far too long with no reservations at nearly an hour.
2) shoestring fries were cut unevenly. Gave sushi mayo sauce lol what? Sushi mayo sauce on fries? On whose orders? Guy fieri? Doesn't add up.
3) waiter was aloof. Seemed to be preoccupied with her troubles.
4) expensive. Fifteen dollars for a chicken sandwich. Yep, we are definitely in la. Scratch that. We are definitely in Beverly Hills-

First time visiting there for lunch. The place is small and crowded, but shares a sushi kitchen with its neighbor. I had high hopes for this place, as everyone raves about their chicken sandwich. I ordered that, and fries and a couple of sushi rolls to share. First thing I have to warn people about the prices. It's not cheap. The chicken sandwich is $14 without sides. The soft drinks are $3.50 per small bottle, and no fountain refills. The sushi rolls are about $16-$18, but not unreasonable for quality rolls.
I think the sushi is decent. Not too different than Katsuya rolls. The most underwhelming item was the popular chicken sandwich. The fried patty is really thin, topped with kale slaw, tomatoes and a special swiss-type cheese. I don't really like the fluffy buns. The sandwich itself tasted bland so I had to add some hot sauce. It wasn't that good IMHO. I would have to say most fast food joints have better chicken burgers at less than half the price. I guess my expectations were too high, but honestly, I would not order that again.
I would come back for the sushi rolls and fries. I might even try the beef hamburgers. The small tables and stools are cool for conversations. Staff was friendly and cool. So I guess the only things I don't like here are the chicken burger and prices. -

We were in search of a place with nice lunch options so we chose The Honor Bar. The food there is delicious but the service was just not great. I literally had to ask the server for everything twice. She forgot my Diet Coke not once, not twice, but THREE times.
We ordered a sushi roll, The Honor Burger, and a side of French fries. The burger was cooked to perfection. It's really filling so I do recommend sharing it. The Coconut Shrimp roll was soooo good! It was different to any roll I've ever had and I eat a lot of sushi. I definitely recommend ordering it.
Hopefully when you go, you get luckier and don't have a server who doesn't write anything down yet can't remember anything. -

Been here a few times. I like the food, but the service seems to be downgrading. The not-so-friendly-big girl at the door had me and my friend wait 45 mins on a not so busy Tuesday night and we were only seated after we approached her to inquire about the long wait. It seemed like she had forgotten we were waiting or she didn't care cuz they had empty tables inside that just needed to be cleaned.

Yum! Yum! Yum!!!
We went for lunch and there was about a 30 minute wait. I never thought a chicken sandwich would be anything more than ordinary, but this was the best one I ever had. Definitely worth the 30 minute wait. I ordered mine in lettuce, instead of a bun and it was superb. I tried my husband's on bread and it was even better! We also tried one of the sushi rolls out of curiosity and it was also excellent, but don't think I could come back here for anything besides the chicken sandwich! -

Stopped in for a beer and to cool off from the heat wave. Staff was super friendly and atmosphere was attractive. We did a few sushi rolls that were out of this world. Highly recommend this place. Heading to the sister company right next door The Beverly Grill.

When someone orders fries and slaw AT THE SAME TIME that they ordered their burger, it is common sense they want to eat them TOGETHER. Well, maybe it's not common sense.....
Fries were freezing and I'm like, where the hell's the burger??
I was informed by a bartender that you need to specify that you want them together. STUPID. OF COURSE I WANT MY **SIDES** TOGETHER WITH MY BURGER. Duh... She then let me know (twice) that I wouldn't be charged for the second batch. ..like she's doing me a favor. Damn skippy. 'Cause I would refuse to pay for the cold fries. Change your stupid policy, THB! Or maybe **ask** if we want them together. I'm pretty sure the answer will always be YES. You lost a point from me on this...
No more live music here! Boooooo !! But, I get it. No room anymore. Very busy place and I see why... Everything I ate (when hot) was fantastic.
-Smoked Trout dip w/ saltines - YUM
-Kale salad - excellant
-Burger, med rare- perf
-fries- great when HOT
-Slaw- pretty good
I'll have to remember their take-home pizzas! Take home a pizza to cook yourself. That way it will be fresh and hot when ready to eat. Great idea.
On a bad note (besides their "you need to specify u want ur sides together" policy), the girls behind the bar were bickering. If I want to hear that shit, I'd go home! -Blond bartender to the brunette: "blah blah blah. Brunette: "blah blah." Blond: "That's not fair to everyone else." The energy shifted and I sensed the negativity. LADIES!!! - Take it to the back we're customers can't hear you!
Started out as a 5 star, ended with a 4. Will I return? Of course! That smoked trout and burger had me swooning. The prices are good as well, especially for BH.-

Hoity Toity bar, as most of Beverly Hills offers. But, the best thing, without the "attitude". A long bar, with 15-20 or so small tables and a couple of booths that seat 4-5, and a few small tables outside. Best for small parties or best yet, dining for 1.
Cocktails, wine, and beer -- for sure -- but, the menu is kinda odd. A burger, a chicken sandwich, a few salads, and sushi. Pizza for take-out offered 4p-8p. But, from my vantage point, what they offer they hit it out of the park.
A beautiful draft beer, Avery White Rascal, a burger (Honor burger, $14, 4.0 stars with BBQ sauce and Asian slaw were the highlights), French fries ($3, beautifully presented in a silver julep cup with way too much pepper and oil, 4.0 stars).
Service is top-notch and pro by beautiful women (at lunch anyway). How can you beat that?
Next time: Kale Salad (everyone around me ordered it), and the crispy chicken sandwich. mmmmmmmmm-
