1 review for The Home Place
I met my dad here for breakfast one early morning and was expecting a hearty meal, but the order didn't quite deliver.
I had the scramble with kielbasa sausage, fruit, and biscuits. The eggs were fine, the biscuits were dry, and the fruit sucked. Thats the main point of contention for me, the fruit, it could have been fresh fruit - some apple and orange wedges, but no it was hard, tasteless, canned fruit.
My dad had the tater plate which is potatoes covered with gravy, he liked it, but they used those pre-packaged hash browns, which I also think is ludicrous because they could have used real potatoes.
The thing is, this is rural farm country, they should have real potatoes and some sort of real fruit, the meals were both cheap at $6, but using the real thing would really make this more of a home place.
