I had a great experience with Grower's Box. I decided to take on doing my own flowers for my wedding (I knew what I wanted) and with the help of the folks there I had no problem getting what I needed. The flowers were large and gorgeous, and in perfect bloom on the wedding day, with the help of GB and their directions which I followed perfectly.
The calla lillies I got from them (60 for $160 or so I believe) were huge and gorgeous. I had ordered from another online flower merchant as well, so that I could get black callas, and these were much smaller, almost twice the price, and LITERALLY disintegrating by my wedding day, as old callas do. I was very disappointed, and even got some of the purple flower goo on my dress. (luckily it came out)
The GB flowers were a perfect contrast to this- sturdy and in perfect bloom. In addition to the callas, which I used for bridesmaid bouquets, I also ordered 40 oriental lilies, and made 10 centerpieces with them in bell jars, for a casual and beautiful look for an outdoor wedding.
Also ordered rose petals, which looked great on the big day.

My husband and I ordered the flowers for our August 2009 wedding reception through Growers Box and couldn't have been happier with how they turned out. All my fears about ordering flowers online have been blown out of the water. What a deal, and I will be proud for the rest of my life about how beautiful they were.
We ordered 200 bi-color yellow-red roses, 100 snapdragons and the myrtle as filler, to be arranged in pitchers for the reception tables. They were delivered on a Tuesday morning, as promised, for our Friday evening wedding, which seemed early, but we trimmed the stems, kept them in air-conditioning and buckets of water as directed, and they continued to blossom right up to and through the reception, and even into the next day.
We did remove some browned or spotted outside petals from the roses on Friday morning as we were arranging them, but this is typical from the shipping and they really did look just fine afterward. Some of the snapdragons wilted, but because you have to order a minimum of 100 stems and we only needed about 70, this was fine; we had a built-in buffer.
If you're thinking about doing your own, I can only counsel: Keep it simple when it comes to which flowers, and practice with a variety of vases and types of flowers from a deli or something before you decide on what you want, but it's absolutely worth it. We received many compliments on how nice ours looked, and with absolutely NO prior experience in flower arranging!
Growers Box's customer service was exceedingly responsive and careful; I called three times and actually spoke with the same man each time. He was friendly and courteous and offered good advice. Throughout what could have been a very scary process, I never felt like we were on our own.
Can't recommend this company more. They were great.

Simply put, the only place I will ever call to have flowers delivered. Now, this isnt a place to order a flower arrangement per se, but to order fresh grown straight from the farm flowers that are beautiful. It is always amazing to get a call from someone that has just received 150 16" beautful South American roses, enough for all over the house! (and it only cost me $125)..they have saved my ass a number of times.
One word though, plan in advance as they ship directly from the farm so overnight delivery isn't possible.

I don't care if they have the most beautiful flowers because I didn't get to see them yet! And they were supposed to be delivered yesterday!
May be this is just my stupid luck. I ordered flowers from them weeks ago, and they were supposed to be delivered yesterday, for my wedding on Sunday.
On Wednesday I receive a call from them, and they tell me that there's a one day delay. I'll receive my flowers on Friday as well, and this is to assure me that I have the best possible tulips. I specifically ask the uber-polite lady on the phone to be honest with me and tell me if I won't get the flowers, so I can start hitting the local florists and pay an arm and a leg for such a last minute deal. She assures me that my flowers are going to be shipped Thursday morning, and they'll send me a confirmation mail with the tracking number.
It's Friday morning now. I received no confirmation e-mail yesterday. The flowers probably aren't shipped. They don't do saturday delivery, so I most likely won't have flowers for my wedding.
If it turns out that I get my flowers today, I'd still not give them more than one star, just because of their unreliability Who needs a stress factor like this 2 days before a wedding? Someone too broke to hire a florist, I suppose...
I could not have been more pleased with the flowers I received through The Grower's Box. I ordered 200 long stem roses and they arrived on time and were absolutely beautiful. I was a bit nervous about ordering my wedding flowers online, but I could not have been more happy. I even had a friend make my bouquet out of some of the roses. The rest went into vases all over the house where the reception was held. I received compliment after compliment on the wedding flowers. I intend on telling everyone I know to order their flowers through The Grower's Box for every occasion.

Thank you Grower's Box for the amazing flowers!! I can't believe that I got these beautiful fresh flowers and if you can believe it, they were at a wholesale price. What a deal. The flowers arrived on time and I followed the directions from the website and the roses opened up and looked absolutely perfect. And you can see the calla lilies look wonderful too. People asked me were I got the flowers and I told them about this company! I would recommend The Grower's Box to anyone that needed to have fresh flowers!
I ordered calla lilies and stargazer oriental lilies from GB for our wedding. Everything arrived right on time, in good condition, and I found their customer service department to be pleasant and helpful. My only complaint was that the colors on the "stargazer" oriental lilies were WAY off. About a quarter or so were starfighters (fairly similar to stargazers, but with a well defined white border and brighter interior) and the rest were just a solid pale pink -- nothing like stargazers. We were fortunate that we had ordered enough flowers for more tables than we needed (people were late getting in RSVPs, so we erred on the safe side), so we had just enough to at least have one stem of the starfighters in each centerpiece and then combined that with the pale pink ones. The flowers were nice quality, so they looked good anyway, but were really not what we had planned. So if you're flexible, this is a good option (or certainly would be a good option for just a special occasion bouquet rather than a wedding), but if you have your heart set on a particular color/look for your wedding, this might be a risky way to go. That said, they were high quality flowers for a fraction of what we would have paid a florist, so I personally have no regrets.
