I've been cloth diapering my daughter since her birth so I was a regular here for a while. The staff is great and know what they are talking about.

A few months back they added a great gently used section - definitely worth checking out! You can get cloth diapers in great shape or even sell back some you no longer need!

Love me some Double G, B!

We use cloth diapers for the most part, and have been very happy with the selection and service at Giggling Green Bean.  My wife stops in here every chance she gets for their great stock of diaper covers, prefolds, all in ones, and detergent to get them all clean.  They also have a ton of baby wearing setups and are super knowledgeable about each one's pros and cons and how to use them.  They also have classes (free from what I remember) on both cloth diapering basics and baby wearing basics.

We also took our birthing class here.  The class was weekly and after the store was closed.  It was an amazing class with a great teacher (Kathy Dano) who prepared us for our daughter's birth and parenthood in general really well.

Aside from the major products like cloth diapers and baby wearing, the store also has a ton of Earth friendly toys, kid's books, breast pump supplies (and pump rentals, too), and even some clothes.

There are a few drawbacks:  I find the store kind of cramped, especially when there is more than one family browsing.  It's too easy for me to knock stuff off of the shelves or hangers.  Also, the area around the cash register is small and cramped.  I never know where to put the items I want to purchase when I'm at the register because there is hardly any counter space!  Finally, the store is not very brightly lit.  It can seem like it's dusk outside even when it's high noon.

This is a great locally owned business that I am happy to shop in from time to time, and my wife is happy to shop in all the time!

I went here for the first time a couple of months ago on a referral from a friend and to be honest - for my first visit I wasn't all that impressed. The staff wasn't helpful and I wasn't greeted. I had the distinct feeling like I didn't belong. I looked around the store and waited for the lady at the register to get off of the phone and eventually left after 10 minutes empty handed. She never acknowledged that I was there or anything! Very annoying!

The other day though, I was in the neighborhood and had diapers that were too small for my son. I had been wanting to sell them hadn't gotten around to getting the on to craigslist. Since I was there I decided to try again. This time there was a different lady behind the counter and the experience was completely different. She was younger, friendly, and gave me the information I needed. I ended up selling a mass of diapers and got a VERY reasonable price for them. They don't give cash - only store credit. Since I had wanted a specific diaper type that they had last time I got them this time and even picked up a few things that weren't on my list. The lady was helpful with helping me find what I was looking for and knowledgeable about diapers, cloth diapering, and the like.

I am hoping I can eventually add another star to my review - and I will definitely be going back. Though the store is a little pricey - you are paying for quality and eco consciousness, I would be more than willing to give another star or two after a few more visits and good service like I had last time.

This place is still under the radar when I tell people about them I am always surprised that people don't know about the GGB!

We rent our breast pump here. I researched breast pumps and prices and the GGB came up a winner on both counts. They also offer a multitude of classes that have a fee and some that are free.

We heard about them because of their huge assortment of cloth diapers which we highly considered before settling on middle ground with the G diaper which they also carry. The G diaper allows you to use a cloth insert or a flushable insert. They are AMAZING.

They sell a lot of organic items including those that are free of BPA and PVC. I know they have a discount program if you give them your email, but due to my baby brain I cannot for the life of me remember the specifics.

Well now you know about GGB, now go check it out.

The visit here started off badly as soon as we came through the door (or tried to anyway.) There was something wrong with the door, and my husband was having difficulty getting our son's stroller inside. Instead of offering assistance in any way, the woman who was "working" near the entrance just stared at my husband as he struggled.

As we browsed through the store, we were not greeted, asked if we needed help finding anything, etc. The store is also not stroller friendly, so my guys just hung out in a corner on the first level until I got what we needed. The woman who rang up my purchase was pleasant-ish, but our overall experience was not, and I would not recommend this business to my friends. I get the distinct feeling that the people who work here are more interested in working in a hip shop in a cool neighborhood than they are in offering service and information to the potential customers that walk through the door.

This place is probably the best in town for cloth diapers, they have an amazing assortment of product. However, most daycares do not permit the use of cloth diapers, so this is not something that I'm in the market for.

If you are looking for any other type of baby product, the variety here is pretty average and probably not worth the trek (unless you live in the neighborhood - i do not).

The Giggling Green Bean isn't for every parent, but if you're the type of person who's into cloth diapers and ecologically conscious toys and cleaning products, then check this place out.  The prices aren't cheap (then again high quality stuff usually isn't), but they do frequently seem to have sales on different items.  They do have a buyer program where you get 2% off for every $100 you spend, if I recall correctly.

    I don't have a baby.  Thank God.

But I do live in the 'hood.  And I have friends who have, for one reason or another, procreated.  They tell me this place rocks.  And so, I have stopped in.  I don't quite get a lot of the stuff that is going on.  But what I do get is hip designs, yummy cupcakes (on first fridays) and really helpful staff.

Prices are the same as others for these uber cool baby widgets but you are supporting a local, non-chain store, which keeps your moolah in the 'hood.

Now, with or without baby, that's something I can get behind.  Get yo' baby lovin' butt in here!!!

    Hurray!
Denver finally has its own, bonafide cloth diapering store. I used to dream of someday visiting Ithaca New York so that i could visit the Jillian's Drawers store in person.

If you are pregnant or have a young child still in diapers, I strongly recommend you visit this store and consider cloth diapering. It is much, much easier than I would have expected, and the information I got from this company, back when they were called Denver Diaper Co and were just an online store, was invaluable and helped a ton. There are many different types to choose from these days, they are much better than they used to be, and we actually had fewer leaks and zero diaper rash. Although it takes a bit of an investment up front, you will actually save a lot of money over conventional diapers in the long run. And avoid sending literally up to 10,000 diapers to the landfill (yuck). And, they're not filled with chemicals and as a bonus are pretty darn cute.

The store has a small supply of other very useful items as well -- baby carriers and slings (invaluable), natural bath products, diaper bags, and some great wooden toys and adorable organic outfits. They are also hosting classes on cloth diapering and babywearing. A great resource, a really fun little shop, and a great local business to support. Tell all your mom friends about it!

    (Note: they're having a grand opening celebration, w/ raffles and refreshments, this weekend - Aug 7, 8, & 9).

I have been cloth diapering my daughter since she was 4 days old, and I even bough some of my first stash from Amy when she was still operating out of her house. Of course I was excited that a brick and mortar store was opening! Sadly, I have been there on three separate occasions and I was greatly disappointed with the customer service.

Twice I was there by myself and wasn't even greeted until after I brought my items to the register - about 5 minutes after I entered the store. No small talk was made, I was just rung up. The 3rd time there was someone else in the store that they were engaged with and I had to get their attention to check out.

I truly love the products, and I had a great experience with Amy when she worked out of her home, but based on customer service not once but 3 times, I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on.

I went there to register for cloth diapers and other things recently. The woman working there greeted me as soon as my boyfriend and I walked in, and had her little baby strapped to her back. Cute! She was helpful when I approached her with all of my questions, but left me alone to explore on my own after. I think that is the perfect balance. She wasn't over-the-top friendly and chatty, but definitely helped when I needed it. Huge selection of eco-friendly diapers, toys, and gear. All sold at or around MSRP.

I had a baby on 12/31/09 and I feel like I have spent a ton of time in this store.  It was one of the few places I felt comfortable going with my baby, so it was nice to get out of the house and visit a place made for babies!

I've bought all of our baby carriers (a Moby for when she was little, and a Beco for when she hit 7 lbs) and our cloth diaper stash from here.  Their prices are right at MSRP or a little higher, but I feel OK paying their prices because I am supporting a local business, which is something I feel strongly about.

All of the employees are very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about all of their products.  They also offer a wide variety of classes from baby wearing to cloth diapering to making your own baby food.  And they are free or low-cost.  Other baby stores charge $5-$30 for similar classes.

They are active in their community and support charitable organizations and offer great sales to their customers and are very open to suggestions from their customers.

I feel that their best stock and the biggest reasons to visit this store is their variety of baby carriers, cloth diapers, and their expertise.

Please visit the store and buy something nice for yourself, your baby, or someone else with a little one! :)

My husband and I have taken many classes at the store and bought cloth diapers and a nursing cover.  Supporting a local business never felt so good.  I love the help I get because I'm just starting out learning about all this baby stuff and it's great to have a place to turn to with questions about cloth diapering.  What's nice too is that they sell a lot of organic toys and items.

This store is a dream for cloth diaper enthusiasts.  Since I barely like to do my own laundry let alone diapers, I will review the other parts of the store.  They have very cute, soft organic baby clothes and they have a ton of breastfeeding covers and slings.  I beleive they have classes also.  I really dug the vibe of the store and the clientelle - very shopable easy to enjoy baby store.
