I really love this bar. I know it's nothing special, but it's comfy and quiet and usually not too crowded. My boyfriend used to live around the corner and we'd come in here for a late dinner or a few beers and it's always relatively quiet.

Their food is pretty standard pub fare, and they have all the usual beers you'd find at an Irish pub. They have tables which you can sit at even if you aren't eating. It's a nice place to sit at a little table, have a few beers & some appetizers, and talk.

Probably not a place I'd go with a group of girls at night (haha) but definitely a good bar to talk or catch up with an old friend.

I was at The Full Shilling for dinner after working late one evening.

I had a couple of drinks and shared a Turkey BLT sandwich with someone. At the end, it was a BLT since we asked for it without the turkey. The BLT was served on a certain type of bread that was very good.

The staff here is friendly and service is good. Our server came by to check on things periodically.

If you are downtown and looking for a place to chill after works for a few drinks and munchies, I would recommend The Full Shilling.

The Full Shilling is definitely a place that I would certainly return to.

A great place to eat! The food is amazing: I ordered the veggie burger with blue cheese dressing and was beyond satisfied. Service and food are excellent. My one complaint would be that they charge $4 for cokes and whatnot. And, they tried to pass Diet Pepsi off as Diet Coke, which is a major no-no in my book. Other than that, a great place.

No reason to come here unless you work nearby, but that said you can get a pint and a solid hamburger here. The bar has Guiness and all the standards on tap. Bartenders and waittresses are nice and efficient. Prices are decent, plain burger with fries is ~$9 I think, and a pint will run you about $5-6. It's just barely on the nicer side of the average for pubs in the area. Menu is basic but has all the usual bar favorites done well, like wings and fried calamari. Crowd is almost exclusively Wall Street dudes from the neighboring two office buildings (so no Happy Hour specials). If it's crowded in the front by the bar, just head to the tables in the back. Also, they'll show all the major soccer matches (it was a zoo during the World Cup) if you are into that stuff.

I have to warn you I only been to this place a dozen times during lunch hour. And when it is lunch around Wall street there are not that many options for food. A place decent enough to come in with a client, or just bring a friend.

Ladies think about that perfect Cob salad that will not add pounds to your figure, but at the same time will satisfy your hunger (with bacon crumbs, blue cheese, boiled egg and chicken).

And if you are hungry for some meat, there is that perfectly done burger or my personal favorite Bangers and Mash.

So if you are in the area this is one of the places to go for lunch. Just one tiny bit of bug for me, its a bit too loud for my taste, since they have big screen TVs with sports, but then again it may be a turn on.

the snug! the snug is a table with a cozy upholstered banquette nestled inside a tiny room, the outside of which has been (or once was) a confessional.  it has a door for privacy and a window that slides open for easy access to the bar, so you'll never run dry.  perfect for that quiet time with someone special, or for playing scrabble.  i went for scrabble.  i brought my own game.  because that's how i roll.
