For those who really appreciate coffee and not some charred Starbucks cup-o-something, try a cup at the French Bakery. The espresso is superb! The pastries are devine. From the savory to sweet--they are all fabulous. The almond croissant is not your grainy almond paste variety, but something in a league of its own with a creamy almond filling and sugary toasted almonds on the top. Yum! For lunch, they offer sandwiches on fresh baguettes. I tried both their vegetarian offerings and was pleased with both. I only wish they were closer so I could enjoy them more often.

First visit today.  I've been to France a few times and am always looking for authentic french bakeries in our area.  There are some impostors out there (for instance would you ever see a peanut butter cookie in a real french bakery?  I think not.  Anyway I digress.)  Today I got an cream eclair.  It was excellent.  I'll be back for sure.  Stay true to your roots "The French Bakery"!  You appear to be the "real deal"!

This was the hit of the recent culinary sampling within the K village. The coffee is strong, the cappucino is perfect, and the quiches melt in your mouth. Homemade bread is also good. Remember to bus your table !!

I have to rave about both the service, and the quality of the pastry. I called at ten after six on the Saturday (they close at six) before fathers day to find out how late they were open  (had to pick up eclairs for the holiday) and they said that they'd already closed and that they weren't open on Sunday - but they offered to keep the register open while I ran down there to pick up the pastries. They were incredibly nice and they let us take home a couple of extras for free!

Thanks French Bakery - welcome to the neighborhood!

Finally a good bakery in Kirkland!!!
They have the most delicious pastries and bread and the coffee is good.

There is an awesome selection of sweet treats and some savory as well.  You can get your food and drink and sit in a very cute little shop and watch the bread bake in their fancy bread oven.  The people working there are really nice and really try to make sure you enjoy you food and beverage.

The one downside is that there isn't a ton of seating, but go there and try the Almond Croissant and you will forget anything negative.

Love this place!  Everything I've tried so far has been delicious.  If I could only have one dessert for the rest of my life, it would be their fruit tart.  I also love the almond croissant.  Parking in the area can be tough, especially when the weather is nice, but they do have some off-street parking in the attached parking garage, which is a plus.  And the owners are great.
