Took a trip hiking through the national parks near Jackson, WY for a few weeks. Trip ended up being extended for a variety of reasons and I had to find a hotel to stay in for my group.
Starting looking in south Yellowstone, Grand Teton and the tourist areas around there. The hotels that had rooms were insanely expensive compared to what it was a few days previous (we had stayed in many of the same hotels we called to re-reserve rooms).
By chance, I looked south of Jackson & saw this place. With the excellent reviews, I called up. Ended up being 1/4 of the price compared to what we were offered in Jackson so we ended up driving south & staying for a night.
Place itself was amazing. The rooms were a little on the smaller side but they were well taken care for. We had a porch, granite counter tops in the bathroom. Great shower head to clean off all that dust from hiking. There was a washer & dryer as well as a small gym in my building. Breakfast in the morning wasn't free but it was delicious and plentiful.
I didn't explore the rest of the hotel but all the other attendees kept telling me to go to do so. I'd certainly recommend this place & stay here again. -

OMG, this was a hidden gem! We were travelling a loop around the country, so we didn't make set reservations as not sure how many miles we'd get in each day. We lucked out here when all of the Jackson Hole resorts were booked solid. Our luck!!! We'll be staying here again. Just sad we just stayed overnight, so couldn't partake of all of the amenities. Staff warm & welcoming! Room clean with everything needed. They even had laundry facilities, so we caught up on laundry, which is important, especially with kids in tow. Nice pool area.
Excellent travel experience! -

Our family had a reunion at the Flying Saddle and spent 4 days at the resort. While this is definitely not the nicest place I have stayed in before, it is clean and comfortable. We stayed in a standard room with 2 queen beds. We had views of the Snake river and mountains. The hotel looked either very new or recently renovated.
Some other people have given this place a lower review, but I think it's great for the money especially when you consider similar hotels in Jackson are going for twice the price.
The resort has an indoor pool and hot tub, fitness center, a nice drive-thru liquor store and a restaurant. We all cheered when we saw the liquor store on premise.
My only complaints were the beds are a bit uncomfortable and the service at the restaurant was very slow. Otherwise we had a great stay. -

This place looks great from the outside. The rooms themselves? Well, our was big, and very average. That's not a bad thing, but not great either. Looks like they are working on remodeling the place, so in a year or two this place may be fantastic. or not...
The restaurant was both good and bad. I went for the soup and salad bar. What they had was ok, but they had nowhere near everything that was promised on the menu. I waited until my family had been served to hit the bar, which is when I found out how weak it was. If I noticed earlier I would have changed my order, and gotten something from the kitchen. Went to the same restaurant for breakfast, and despite being the only table seated, we couldn't get the staff's attention to save our lives. They pushed the breakfast buffet, and again it was poorly stocked. Only after we were done did they realize they forgot to bring out the eggs.
Bottom line.. the rooms are ok, but avoid the restaurant. -
