A half-hour wait at 7:30 on a Tuesday in this town? You figure they've got to be doing something right. And they are. Darn good bbq, just like my favorite place in my hometown, right down to the selection of sauces (regular, hot, and sweet, all in unlabeled bottles), the bowls of beans with shredded pork bark in them, and the requisite texas toast. Yep, they've got the right idea at this place.

There is a LOT of good BBQ in this part of the country so the Firehouse has some stiff competition. I went for lunch, had a GREAT FANTASTIC server Laya (I think sorry if I misspelled it)
I had the sliced beef, beans, and hashbrown casserole. It was OK, not great but just OK. I'm giving it a 2.5 stars... -

This place is ok. I usually only have this place when it's catered out as I'm not a huge fan of the atmosphere in here. It's not that I even dislike it, I just don't get what all the fuss is about, haha.
The BBQ is good. I can't take that away from it. There's nothing better for southern gatherings than some BBQ to bring everyone together. -

Pretty good. A popular lunch spot for local police - it's that good. Like an old firehouse inside - imagine that. Good variety of food at real good prices. Food is kind of like Calhoun's or The Cooker - generally southern but NOT like Cracker Barrel (in the least bit).
