This is my second review for this place because I just can't get over how fantastic they are. Part of me wants to not say a word because I want to keep it my little secret but I can't be selfish.
On my first review I hadn't yet had a massage from Suzanne but now I have had several. Let me tell you, she is MAGICAL. I have been to some pretty great massage therapists but Suzanne is by far the most healing I have ever experiencd. If you just want a relaxing massage you will be blown away by how relaxed you feel. If you need healing, WOW, she is the one to see. I am always astounded at how amazing I feel when I am done. She has worked on many different difficult issues I have and I haven't felt this good in years. I have been more pain free since I started going to her.
Suzanne was on vacation and it was time for a brazillian so I thought I would give Christina a try. Dang girl, You are good. I am loyal to Suzanne but I would absolutely go to Christina again if I couldn't get in with Suzanne. They are both incredible at the sugaring.
I can't tell you enough how happy I am with my membership. If you shop around and compare any other salon prices to the Encinitas Spa their membership prices can't be beat and to top it off with INCREDIBLE services... I will never go anywhere else. Every person I have told about them and they went are now repeat customers. I just can't say enough great things.

Holy sugar lips! haha! This place is great! Christina D. is phenomenal! I had my first ever brazilian with here a 4 weeks ago and just had my second session recently. I was prepared to have the worst agony of my life. I heard horror stories about waxing and was expecting the same results.
To my surprise it wasn't that bad. She made me feel so comfortable even though its quite a vulernable area being all up in my business lol. There were some "sweet spots" but the pain is over as quick as it starts. She is fast and gets the job done right.
I had my second session and it was a breeze! My re-growth was like barely anything! The pain? There were some sweet spots but it didn't hurt as much at all. She makes me laugh each time to make it more comfortable.
All in all I am happy with the results and am happy to find someone who has made a "SWEET" impression on me ;) -

I have worked for several high end salon and spas and this place is incredible. The spa itself is clean, relaxing, the waiting area is rather small and cramped, but darling. Even the location, the 101 in Encinitas, is great for spending a day thrift shopping and getting coffee before or after your service. I had a Groupon for a signature facial (50 mins), and Christina was as good as it gets. She was patient, relaxed, kind and sweet and best of all, my skin was glowing and refreshed for DAYS after my glycolic/pumpkin enzyme facial. Even though my service was discounted, she treated me with such care and genuine interest in what results I was expecting from my treatment. I can't wait to go back, and am interested in trying the hair removal/sugaring services.
The owners are also incredibly kind and sincere. Could not recommend this place more! -

I started going to Christina for sugaring a few months ago. She has been wonderful!! It is a service that is sort of painful and awkward and she makes you feel so comfortable. She is a professional and makes you feel at ease! She promised me that the first sugaring experience is the worst and it only get's better from there, and she was right! I bought the monthly membership for sugaring. You get about $10 the sugaring fee, and if you don't use it that month, the money rolls over to be used for another time. They are always prompt at calling you back to make appointments. They are super accommodating and I definitely recommend them!!

I have been here three times now for both a facial and massage, and each time it is simply FAB! The massage is more therapeutic in nature, and the facial is more results-oriented. Both are still very relaxing, but don't expect just to fall asleep with lotion getting smeared all over you. ha! They work-it-out! For now, I have found my go-to place and I'm not looking elsewhere. One pointer though - book in advance. Enjoy!!

LOVE this place! I go to Christina for waxing and facials. She always does an awesome job. Sugaring is soooo much better than the normal waxing. It definitely hurts less. Their signature facial is great too. It comes with 3 layers of peels and a week after I get it my face is fantastic.
I became a member, which is totally worth it. You get discounted services and 15% off all products.
Suzanne and her husband own and run this place and they are the nicest. I would much rather come here for my services than go to some huge overpriced spa. 5 stars and HIGHLY recommended!!! -

I bought my Groupon for Spa services at The Encinitas Spa. I did my research first, and read amazing reviews for this spa, I thought...hmmm a spa can't be THAT great...so lets get this out in the open now, they are that great! I was running a little late because traffic was horrible...I was sooo worried that I wouldn't be able to get my facial because I was late, but not to worry the esthetician was running behind too. The building was a little hard to find, but I blame that on my GPS (it said I had arrived when I was in the middle of the intersection...I knew at that moment I needed a new GPS).
I really like that this is a family owned business and the owners want to keep it that way. The husband was working the front counter and was very plesant and offered water and told me about the beginnings of their busniess. I think they will go far! The facial was relaxing and what I needed to de-stress from my emotional week and crazy drive there. I booked my next facial with them!
They also have an amazing membership that is at a great price...unfortunatly I could not sign up because I'm only here for 2 more months (I work for the Government and I'll be leaving to go back home in 2 months). He understsood and gave me the Government/Military discount. I was in shock...I honestly had a WONDERFUL experience here.
I plan on booking a girls day with my mom and me when she comes down to visit...maybe even buy a facial for my friend and all three of us could go here! (they have three estheticians and three rooms).
Worth every single penny!!!! -

BOMB.COM! :) I've been coming to the Encinitas Spa for almost a year now and I love it! I've been to many different spas for waxing and massages before, but this place has proven to be much better than all of them. The spa itself is located conveniently near the beach on south coast hwy right off the freeway. The staff is great! They really try to get to know you and it's easy to feel comfortable with any of them. Brian is awesome with booking appointments and working around your busy schedule. If you do want services done, you should schedule an appointment rather than walk in because they usually get booked quickly.
I usually go in for brazilian sugaring and eyebrow waxing. They have an awesome membership deal where brazilians are $39 a month, you can't beat that price anywhere! Christina usually does my sugaring and she is amazing!!! She is very professional and a perfectionist, so she won't let you leave until you're happy and everything is just how you want it. She also does the brazilians quickly and thoroughly, so you're in and out with no complaints or pain. After a few months of getting brazilians here, my hair is now thinner and takes longer to grow back than regular waxing! The eyebrow waxing is done with regular wax, but since Christina and Suzanne started waxing them, I have gotten many compliments! I have also had a one hour massage by Suzanne and it was very relaxing, highly recommended if you need to de-stress! Many of my friends converted to this spa and I have heard great things about their facials, so I'm looking forward to having a facial with them soon too!
Overall, this place is amazing! You don't need to look anywhere else for your sugaring, facial and massage needs! -

I came here with a group-on so I really couldn't beat the price. The staff was so friendly. It was my first time trying sugaring and I was so pleased with the results. It lasted a long time and I would recommend this to anybody over waxing. Thanks for introducing this to me!

WOW! Wow is all I could say after I got the most incredible massage at this spa. I was almost asleep and am pretty sure I was drooling by the end of the massage! It was incredible!
I also got a facial here before my massage and honestly, I felt like I was glowing for weeks afterwords! Suzanne here was the best thing to happen to me in a long time!! I would without a doubt go here and only here ever again. I'm pretty new to the whole spa thing and have had some awkward experiences (I once had a massage therapist not leave the room when I was undressing... creepy!) but at the Encinitas Spa everything was totally legit and comfy.
You know when you get a facial, haircut, or anything spa-like and you leave there looking all gross with your skin all red and nasty or your hair all over the place? Well that totally didn't happen here. I actually left the spa feeling prettier than before!
Oh, and the price was awesome! They seem to always have cool specials and I had to call and change my appointment time and they were totally accommodating! I just wish they were closer to Mission Valley! Move closer Suzanne! -

I received an excellent massage from Maisie as well as sugaring hair removal from Nicole. I checked in with Brian and he was extremely nice. The spa opened a couple months ago and they have some great promotions going on.
The rooms in this small upper level spa are not very soundproof, however, and I could hear the conversation between the aesthetician and previous client behind the closed door as I was waiting for my appointment.
Their prices are quite reasonable, and while they missed a couple spots I was still very pleased with the quality of service and the friendly staff. -

Love the location! I really like the sugaring service they offer (as an alternate to waxing) and the brazilian a month club is GENIUS. Suzanne is wonderful and puts you at ease. Looking forward to trying a massage from here also!

I have to say, Suzanne is AMAZING! I went in to try a Brazilian, and now I am a monthly member and have done Brazilians, brows, and other waxing. She is super sweet and makes you feel right at home. I have gotten waxed so many times, but have never tried "sugaring". Let me tell you it is far superior to any waxing! Your hair barely grows back. I highly suggest giving her spa a try, and you will fall in love. Super small little place, and totally a hidden gem.
Note: there is Coaster parking, and it is easy to find if you park there, or if you park on the South end of the other lot by El Callejon.

I got my wife a message before our wedding (she had been so stressed!!) with Suzanne. Suzane made her feel so comfortable! My wife was a little nervous before going in, but Suzanne put her nerves to ease. She loved every min of it! She had been going to Glen Ivy to get her massages done. She told me that the Glen Ivy massages are amateur compared to Suzanne. The best part.....the wife was a little more pleasant to be around.

Great Massage, Suzanne is awesome. also the sugaring hair removal is awesome, she makes you really relaxed and comfortable before she takes your hair off. better than waxing
