Best place for flowers in town. The bouquets and boutonnierre's they arranged for our fall wedding were so beautiful even though I had given very few details and didn't follow up to see the final products before the event. The staff exceeded my expectations. I ordered a bridal bouquet, a smaller toss, and boutonierre's only at a very reasonable price for what we received. Thanks so much for making our wedding flowers perfect!

When we were here 2 years ago I hadn't tried the chocolate.  The owner invited me to stop by for a chocolate tasting next time I was in town, but I felt a little shy and didn't.  Foolish me.  Yesterday we were invited to the home of a local friend and wanted to bring a little hostess gift.  We stopped by The Enchanted Florist and bought 4 pieces which were packed in a lovely little green box.  Our friend insisted we share one w/ her.  It was a chocolate fleur de sel.  She tried the strawberry balsamic.  We agreed they were heavenly.  She still has the rose fleur de sel and another.  I forget which.  It was excellent chocolate, worth the fifth star.  They also have a beautiful wreath I've been admiring for our front door.  If I didn't already have one I liked I would buy it.

A long, long time ago (way back in the year 2007) I moved to Ashland.  While roaming the streets of my new home, I found myself repeatedly drawn to the little floral shop on A Street.  My friends and I would slowly drive by and peek in the windows and ooh and ahh at the lovely creations.

Time passed, and the little floral shop on A Street moved to an even more adorable location on North Main.  Shortly after the move, my longtime boyfriend (now husband) and I became engaged, and there was no question who I would turn to for the floral design for the big day.

Leslie and Brandon are an extraordinary team.  Not only were the flowers at the wedding absolutely stunning, but the two of them were there every step of the way.  While other vendors were hard to get in touch with, Brandon and Leslie responded to emails, phone calls, and even unexpected drop-ins from family members and friends with professionalism, flexibility, and of course, their own stylish flair.  I made several changes in the days before the wedding, and they responded promptly and with such gracious enthusiasm.

I remember talking to my mom in the days before the wedding, fretting all the details and worrying about all the other details, but being quick to say, "Thank goodness for The Enchanted Florist, though.  They've been an absolute dream come true!"  Brandon and Leslie made everything a breeze.

I am so honored that their lovely work was able to be part of one of the most amazing days of my life.  I cannot express how much I respect and adore their sense of style and their open, flexible type of communication.

One of the enjoyable aspects of following Jen K.'s reviews is to follow the chocolate.  In some ways it's like following an ongoing Sandra Boynton cartoon.  For example, when Gayle and I were up in Portland a few months ago, were pleased with her "Cacao Drink Chocolate" recommendation. Next week, Gayle and I will return to the City or Roses and I'm pretty sure that there will be a similarly inspired chocolate (preferably dark) posting.  And after reading Jen's recent review of the Enchanted Florist, we decided that we must stop in.  During our stay in Ashland, we ended up walking past this place several times and that circumstance evolved into a standing joke between us.  One of us would exclaim - "Look! - Isn't that drinking chocolate I see in the window?"

The core business here is flowers and in their displays and selection, they all look lovely.  The chocolate side of the house appears to be in the early stage of business development and is limited right now to 2 drinking chocolate and several high end "candy bar" selections.  In the future as the business evolves, I could imagine sipping hot chocolate at an inside or outside table. The husband and wife team that owns the Enchanted Florist are super friendly and helpful and you can't help but want to do business with them.

I very much enjoyed my drinking chocolate selection (the one Jen didn't try) and look forward to another visit the next time I return to Ashland.

    yada yada *chocolate* yada yada

Something in Ashland stopped me in my tracks this weekend.  Nestled in between the Varsity Theatre and Ashland Springs Hotel was a new business that I almost walked right by since I wasn't shopping for flowers.  But then the word 'chocolate' caught my eye.

This husband and wife team just moved their floral business from the Railroad District to this ideal location on Main Street about five weeks ago and started serving their own drinking chocolate.

The husband, Brandon, is the chocolatier and he makes two varieties daily.  I had the rose water which was mellow and fragrant, then I had the Thai version later that day.  It was his first attempt at creating 'curry you can drink' and it was amazing.  Flavored with coconut and lemongrass... where have you been all my life?!?

Those accustomed to liquid drinking chocolate or hot chocolate will be surprised by the consistency, thick, like warm pudding.

And I haven't even mentioned the chocolate bars and truffles... Amedei, Michel Cluizel, Alma Chocolate (Portland), Todd's Chocolate (Ashland), Michel Misher.  Basically the best of the best in Ashland.

Throw in an incredible owner with a passion for his product and his business and you have my new favorite place in town.  And no disrespect to the flowers, which are gorgeous, but I only felt the need to review the 'best part'.

    Elegant yet unpretentious and AFFORDABLE!

I'm talking about the best florist in the area!

This has been my routine stop in Ashland for bouquets and plants. I've also been to several events (weddings, fundraisers, galas) where this little-shop-that-could-would-and-has was the design genius behind it all.

Although they've been featured in magazines (rightfully so), this shop is completely unpretentious and will not flinch at whatever budget you're working with. I've walked in there with anything from a one-hundred to a one-thousand dollar budget. They didn't blink. They not only made it work, but everything looks expensive and stunning.

When I'm near Enchanted Florist downtown I make sure and stop for a gourmet chocolate bar of some sort to deliver home for my talented and charming wife.  She is a major chocolate fan and THEY KNOW chocolate!  Always something new, and I hear always perfect.  Thanks, Leslie and Brandon!

I found the Enchanted Florist first on twitter. My visit to the shop was all that had been billed. It actually felt like stepping into a Parisian boutique. Service, selection, atmosphere - all award winning. In fact, I learned that EF had recently been awarded Retail Business of the Year by the Ashland Chamber of Commerce. Very much deserved, I think. Keep up the good work Brandon and Crew. We will be back to see you soon!
