1 review for The Dotted I
If you are big into belles lettres - and it seems even in the age of myspace and youtube - there are still occasions that call for crisp linen paper cardstock and a monogram - this is a cute store to drop into. They carry a compact but comprehensive stock of notecards, and invitations - those are apparently generally accepted special order items these days so put your calligraphy pens away.
The store is very femmy, very crisp and clean like a new pair of Keds or something. The staff are smiley and bright. They also have stuff and things - you know, Vera Bradley, slippers and flip flops, odds and ends that are tasteful and all.
My cringe factor is that there are still independent printing presses out there trying to make a go of it, and everything I picked up was either Crane's (which you can order direct, so I fail to see what the retail appeal is) or printed in China and it's stores like these that kind of suck the life out of those presses. The Dotted I is trying to sell the personal touch in an impersonal kind of way. Oh well, crap happens, I guess.
