I got a donut that was topped with pumpkin frostings and dotted with cream cheese frosting.  My first bite was unfrosted, and I was able to get a good taste of the fresh, soft, airy texture inside.  I would be perfectly happy eating the doughnut without anything on it! It's THAT good.
My donut was not overly sweet and I was able to really taste what I was eating rather than just tasting sugar.

My boyfriend got a Boston Creme and that thing was heavy! There was so much creme in the doughnut that I HAD to steal some in order to keep it from getting all over our car.

That's another thing I should mention, the doughnuts we had were not the type you "eat-on-the-go", and there is not a place for customers to sit and eat them. Our two giant donuts cost us $1.90 which I thought was a steal!

So I guess this place is supposed to be the Mt. Olympus of donut shops. I got the tiger tail, which was delicious. Sweet, but not insanely sweet, and also very fresh. I guess they're also famous for having fresh fruit in their donuts, but I elected to only have one donut.

Would I drive all the way here just to get a donut? Probably not. Would I make sure to stop by if I'm in the area? I think so!

After trying the strawberry donut from The Donut Man, I've been wanting to go buy some for my family to try.  So one afternoon after working at the animal shelter in Pomona, I took a 15 minutes drive to The Donut Man.  It was July 22, and they told me strawberry donut season ended the week before.  They only have peach donut now.  Darn!  Oh well, let's try the peach donut then.

Just like the strawberry donut, peach donut was made with fresh peach.  And they give you so much peach.  Please expect to be messy when you eat this.  Even though it's called a donut, I eat it more like a hamburger.  You have to use both hand to hold the donut and the peach together.  The peach had a sweet glaze on it.  The donut wasn't overly sweet.  So you taste the sweetness of the peach more than the donut.  It was too good.  Parents and sister all like it.  I brought another one home for Dr. P.  He loves it as well.

Next time I'm in the area, gotta go get more while peach is in season.  And next year, I'm going back to get some strawberry ones for sure!

I've never had a one night stand - I think Donut Man is the closest I'll get.

Last night, had their infamous peach donut.  I was so happy.  I had been craving a good donut for a month or so and this was it.  Fresh, glazed fruit, a tender donut.  Sweet, but not overwhemingly so.  Of course, this only made the cravings worse.  I want more!!

So fast forward to 5 minutes ago.  I called them on the phone and asked how much longer their peach donut season will be.  She said it was ending today (and of course I'm busy all day today).  My soul died a little bit, what a whirlwind of emotions a simple fruit donut can play me for.

Donut Man is probably a little too far for me to make the drive out for regular donuts, but come fresh fruit season, I'll be back!

After all the rave I had to come here to try out their famous strawberry donut, peach and tiger tails.

Firstly, I do not think the donut itself is all that amazing. The donuts probably and most likely tastes like any great/decent donut shops around your city. It wasn't extra fluffy or anything. If you're having just the donut itself, I would say that Krispy Kreme original glaze is handsdown my favorite.

However, what makes their donuts different or worth trying/tasting is really their generosity on fruits. If you're a lover of freshly glazed fruits, this will definitely hit the spot. Both the strawberry and peaches were very succulent atop of their fresh donuts.

The Tigertail is a chocolate/donut twist. If you don't like too much chocolate but still want that hint of taste then this is pretty good. It looked pretty cool since I haven't seen other donut shops with them. As for the taste, think of a donut & chocolate blend. Definitely can't go wrong.

Overall, I would visit this place once in a while if I really wanted a fresh fruit donut. I like the varieties they have and how they play with fresh fruits, but is not head overheels to a point where I'm willing to drive 1/2 hour for just a donut or two.

Pretty dang good.

Donut Man has a HUGE selection of donuts, some normal-sized, some the size of a small trailer.  Although I only had one donut, a glazed crueller that tasted like a fresh egg, and a taste of a hunky sized peach off of their signature peach donuts, I could tell that this place wasn't messing around.

Good selection, prices, open 24-hours (I think?), and a free show that's better than anything you'll see at Vegas.*

*Visible from the side window: watching Jim prepare and cut the dough as one of the sidekicks drops iceberg-sized hunks of shortening/lard into the scalding vat.

Good fruit-filled donuts in the SGV!

Atmosphere/cleanliness: Stand-alone shop that limits foot traffic and creates confusion when crowded with a balcony-type store front.

Service:  Friendly and prompt service.

Food:  I came here for the peach donuts and was surprised by the all the hype, it was simply a raised donut split in half with real, fresh peaches inside.  Nothing spectacular, nothing terrible either.  The problem was that one of the peach slices was rancid and slipped by quality control (minus one star for that error).  Next sample was a chocolate raised donut, the donut was pretty average and the chocolate topping was good, but lacking an authentic cocoa flavor that I've tasted at another popular donut shop in the LA-area.  Finally, I tasted the raspberry jelly-filled, this was good and the raspberry filling was as real as it gets with real raspberry seeds inside and that tang that separates this from lesser filled donuts.  Come here for the seasonal and fruit-filled donuts.

The donuts are filled with Fresh Peaches, not Fresh Cut Yayo folks!

But I admit, the Donuts ARE extremely delicious!

Tigertail - mmmm. It's a fave of mine. Granted a simple twist, but once bit into it, the sugary glaze and chocolate melted in my mouth. Even after grazing on it and trying to enjoy it while I can, at the end of the day, it still tasted awesome as I first had it.

Chocoalte Bavarian Creme Filled - overall a very average donut.  The Bavarian creme kinda killed the taste of the donut for me. Too much creme I think. It was good, don't get me wrong, but I would probably choose something else.

Apple filled donut with Streusel Topping - Delicious!  Apple was oozing out the donut and the cinammony streusel was just an extra bonus when I took a bite into it. You can get it w/o the streusel topping as well.

Peach Donut -  Fresh fruit is always something that attracts people *cough Pinkberry cough* but for what it is, you don't need that mumbo jumbo of fruit. Just enjoy the donut. I know I did. Maybe I'm so use to my free lunches during my childhood that I was so accustomed to canned institutionalized peaches.  My peaches should be either extra firm, or extra soft, this in between thing just killed it for me. It tasted a bit fuzzy too as if it wasn't fully peeled.

Staff is very sweet and nice!

I am kicking myself in the ass for not getting the cream cheese one, it's all I've been thinking about.

Did someone tell me it was Christmas? Because I swear it was only August.

This morning I took a trip to The Donut Man. Sounds like the Muffin Man, but I wasn't on Mulberry Lane. According to The Donut Man's window, Yelp loves him; I hoped I could say the same. I made my order of two Peach Donuts, and took my present to go. As I sat in the car, I was eager to open my present The Donut Man gave me, hoping it was just what I wished for. I swore I had been on the good list this year.  I tore off the top box and moved around the donut paper, and there they were: two round donuts covered with glaze, each cut in half. Inside were chunks of juicy, sweet peaches in a peachy glaze, waiting to be devoured. And as I took each bite, I was in awe of what a creation it truly was.

And to Mr. Donut Man, thank you for making them just the way I hoped for. I swear I'll be good, if you make the strawberry donuts just as good next season. :)

the first time i heard the name 'donutman', i looked on as its followers spoke highly of its famous in-season glazed goodness, the fierce twisted tiger tails, and the to-die-for- chocolate sprinkles. it was the stuff of legends.

it was further shocking to realize that this donut mecca was located 1.3 miles from where i grew up, and i must've passed it hundreds, if not thousands of times.

so why now? why did it take me 25 years? the same reason why i stay away from cocaine, weed, or any other addicting substances. i've never tried the stuff before, but if it's good enough, i might come back for a 2nd, 4th, 200th time. what can i say? i have an addict's personality.

but after a long four hour session on the analysis of bach's suites, i thought one night, why the hell not.

now i had ventured here one previous time only, and it was CLOSED. (a blessing in disguise?) no such luck this time. that shit was open, bright, yellow, with a huge ass white donut eating man staring at me from afar. pulling into the parking lot, the smells of freshly baked ADDICTION wafted through the air.

there were a few people loitering in the front. and of course, this means i gotta ask what they like. cuz the regulars always know best.

they were very helpful. they suggested the raspberry cream cheese, the chocolate glazed, and tiger tail. why no stuffed fruit donut. because THEY ARE OUT OF SEASON.

EPIC EPIC EPIC NONESENSE!!!!!!!

"yeahh..you missed it by like 2 weeks".

dammit.

not to be deterred. i ordered the raspberry cream cheese, tiger tail, chocolate glazed donut,  glazed maple donut, and raisin glazed donut. *that's right raisin...i'm eating healthy here*.

how was it?

absofuckinlutelyamazintothehundrethdegree.

it's much lighter then most donut places, and surprisingly not as sickeningly sweet; it was very fresh, and survived the hour long drive home.  i dropped the raspberry off to Emily S., so you can ask how she liked her donut. I went home and ate the rest with Dirt J.

recommendations?

well...

basically everything.

i'm holding off on the one extra star.... until next time, fruit stuffed donut, i SHALL get you.

total: 5 bucks.

Pros:
- Seasonal donuts
- quick, friendly service
- Variety of donuts

Cons:
- Missing the donut season
- No where to eat

Recommendations:
- Strawberry/Peach donuts
- Apple cinnamon donut

Overall:

This is a small donut stand. There really is no where to eat, but it's worth the drive. They sell shirts and donuts. In all honesty it's your run of the mill donut store. The usual crawlers and bear paws and twists, you can get anywhere is served here, but what gives it flair are the 4-5 specialty donuts they have.

The Peach and Strawberry donuts are what makes this place reviewable. They basically cut a donut halfway down like a hot dog bun and fill it with fresh fruit. When eaten warm and freshly made, it's very good. These specialty donuts run for about $2.80-$3. Good for an after meal dessert, it will definitely make your day and fill that need for sweets.

Donut Man is a great place to go to after a long night out. It's open late and the donuts are still fresh. They're famous for their fruit stuffed donuts, you can enjoy strawberry, peach or apple. It all depends on the time of season for the fruits. The place is nice and inexpensive and they offer student discounts, most of the employees there are nice. I'd recommended getting just one filled donut if you're planning on sharing with someone, the donut is big enough to share. There isn't much room for sitting except for a little bench out in front, although you can easily enjoy the donuts in your car. If you're going to have a beverage there I advise you not to get the sprite, they seem to trade off between root beer and sprite so you get a taste of the root beer. Ultimately it's a great little place to visit.

Remember the excitement of getting your first donut as a little kid?  Well I don't, but I would like to think it was somewhere near the joy of my first trip to the Donut Man. I had seen the pictures and read the reviews and as I exited Grand off the 210 Fwy, I couldn't help but think about  the peaches and strawberrys bursting out of a donut.

Looking at the donuts on the left side was looking at donuts through a childs eyes; these things are big: Tiger Tails, Bavarian Cremes, the Apple filled donuts, and even the maple bars are huge!!  The regular donuts on the right side were regular size though, infact they look even smaller compared to the giants on the left.  Anyway, strawberry is not in season, so I gotta come back, but the peach donut is definitely a winner!!  The Bavarian Creme was good, but definitely need an extra large milk with that!! The Tiger Tails, maple bars and apple filled are good too, but the next time I go, I will be getting a strawberry one.

It's always worth the trip to the outskirts of LA for this delectable delight!

They're just this hole in the wall making sugary delights filled with fresh sugary fruit. I mean it's heaven, and you get a serving of fruit in every donut. MMM... I'm drooling just thinking of it.

How I have I been here and NOT try the fruit stuffed donut?!

Came here the other day for late night run for some sugary sweets for the sweet.... yes me!

I got a large coffee and tiger tail for myself. I think any other sugar would seriously send me off the deep edge where my eyes would be bulging out.

I took one bite of that tiger tail and immediately tasted the chocolate swirl and sweet glaze that was covered in a nice glaze. It was pure decadence.... mmmm. That Tiger tail is I would say about a foot long. or maybe just shorter. WOWZERS talk about purely satisfying your sweet tooth.

I want to come back! More so for their fruit filled donut. This isn't your usual fruit filling donut ladies and gents, the kind where the filling is sweet, too sugary and carmelized and shot into the donut with a needle thingee. NO. They actually cut a round glazed donut in half and fill it with Fresh fruit in a not too sweet syrup! The combination of the sweetness from the glazed donut with the natural sweetness from the peaches are pure sweet heaven! The peach added an extra crunch to the softness of a regular donut. Pure perfection. humina humina humina... my mouth is watering just writing this review. And at a great deal of $2.80. Totally worth every penny!

Its currently peach season so that what they have today. I heard last month was strawberries. I suggest you call ahead to see whats available. The peaches were fresh and crunchy, definitely not from the can.  This is the best and cannot be found at any other donut shop. Definitely unique to this place. Definitely worth a late night drive to Glendora for this place.

You also get to see Jim (I think thats his name, who knows) make the donuts. But be careful, I don't think he likes it much... he smiled at me until I snapped his picture... oops... oh well, I'll for sure be back!

We went on a Tuesday night at around 10:30pm.  There was no lines and the people there were very friendly.  There was no indoor sitting and outdoor sitting was also limited.  Nonetheless, no one in our group minded.

Yes, only had room in my stomach to try the glazed peaches stuffed donut.  It was a very delightful way to eat donuts.  Who would have thought?

Few places hold a type of mythic awesomeness in which modern day man (and woman) consider them legendary.

Even fewer places are good enough that I would drag my ass out to Glendora and wait in line for over 15 mintues just for a desert.

However, Donut Man is such a place.

The songs sung about this little hamlet of pastry are not only accurate, they are modest.
Glazed donut cut in half and stuffed with sweet strawberries in a sugary syrup has inspired me to write my own...

I sing to thee of a place far away (read: Glendora)
Where magic and fairies do dwell
Where the air smells of heaven (read: sugar)
And love comes to stay (read: sugar)
With Tiger Tails doth make you swell.

Harken to the hamlet of fried happiness
The lines of the townsfolk will show
That hither, this haven,
Humble, more or less,
Is a place where your shillings must go

I. Love. Donut. Man. In recent years, my sweet tooth has been in sharp decline, but I can still be convinced to go to Donut Man on a moment's notice.

Donut Man is open 24 hours, and they are pretty much constantly making fresh donuts. For whatever reason, they tend to make fresh cinnamon rolls around 1 am, so whenever I can justify driving over at 1 am, I make the trek.

Why? Because their fresh, hot cinnamon roll is THE BEST donut I have ever had in my life. The strawberry donuts are also delicious, but nothing can beat a hot donut. So, I recommend that you ask for whatever is hot. If you love cinnamon like me, head over late at night and pray that you get a hot cinnamon roll. It's worth it.

N.B. Donut Man doesn't take credit/debit cards...so unless you want to pay a fee at the ATM attached to the building, bring cash!

"It's New Year's Eve, I'm in Glendora, I'm the only living person in Glendora, Headin' east on the freeway, I left my prom dress on the busstop in Duarte."  Okay, so I'm not Rilo Kiley, and it's not New Year's Eve.  But I was in Glendora.

Friday night at 10:30pm my sister calls me and asks, "You up for an adventure?"  I respond with, "Dude!  I have class tomorrow morning!"  So, I don't go.  Then Sunday afternoon she calls me and says they're going back.  I'm in!

My sis works at Torrid and on our way regales us with a little story about being at work and talking with a coworker.  She's asked about what she did Saturday and she can't remember.  Then she says, "Oh yeah!  I went to Glendora for doughnuts."  Then one of the customers says, "THE DONUT MAN! They have the greatest doughnuts!" and then continues to speak of its greatness.

I hadn't been here in about 15 years.  The only reason we originally headed out was because my man, Huell Howser, told us about this piece of California's Gold.  Then my mom had a craving.

This trip we got some tiger tails, raspberry cream cheese and peach doughnuts.  I'm not a big doughnut fan, but they were pretty good.  Heck, I'm not even a peach person but the peaches were damn good!

It's definitely a place you should try at least once.

"It's peach season" he said as he pointed to a sign.

I took a road trip out of the way for them and didn't even think that it wouldn't be the right season.. but its fruit.. its pastry... its delicious and the epitomy of "forbidden donut."

I want to give this higher stars... I really do... driving out of my way and getting lost for nearly the same amount of time as it took to get there in the first place in the hot heat that is the SGV/909.... the Donut Man appeared as if it were an oasis of deliciousness- hidden away for those only who dare to persevere the distance.

My father lives approx 13 miles from this establishment but had never heard of it.  He- a corporate banker that abhors the internet. Me- well, you know the story.
He couldn't direct me and my gps, I'd left back at home.  Thankfully I had my handy dandy celliebobber (friend in IL to direct me) to save the day.

Seeing the Yelp best of 09 sign in the window made me smile!  Surely this was going to be worth it... I have faith in you yelpers not to let me down.  Plus that one really cute boy from forever recommended this too and surely cute boys do not lie.

The shop was smaller than what I'd thought it would be.  It's just a little stand by the side of the road.   But the donuts were also bigger than I'd thought they would be.  It was my intention to get one for each of us- me, dad, the stepmother, the boy...

Ok looking at these and looking at my rear end, me & the boy can split one (see photo for hugeness... OF THE DONUT THAT IS)  and I'll bring one home to the roommate or Mr if he calls me. (Hi btw)

I headed home (lost a bit more).. and behaved and did not smoke with them in the car... I didn't want to taint the magical donuts.  I will say though, I cheated and popped a few donut holes in my mouth on the way.

The total was $12.85 for 4 peach stuffed donuts and 1 bag of donut holes (1.65 for a half ziplock bag full).

When I got to the house I told my son (he's 6) about my journey for the magical donuts... I pulled out the huge box and his eyes lit up...

"They're huge huh?"

"Yeah they are!"

"It's because they're made of magic..."

"No mom they're made of fruit.. " he said as he pointed to a peach and grabbed one.

I grabbed a piece too and said "It tastes like magic fruit!"

He said "No mom you're silly!  It just tastes delicious..."

So there you have it... I guess it really WAS worth it.  I'll be returning again in the strawberry season for sure though.

It's been about 2 hours already but still, all the sugar is keeping me from putting together a coherent thought so please bare with me as I figure out what it is that I'm thinking about The Donut Man...

~ Who is Jim?
~ I never thought I'd drive 30 miles (each way) to have a donut...it was worth it.
~ The Tiger Tail is so soft and fresh, it seems to dissolve in your mouth...paired with a cup of coffee, dude...don't make me gush about a donut, I'm a man here...
~ Strawberry Donut is "made to order"...and for $2.75, it includes an insane amount strawberries
~ That's the longest I've ever been at a donut shop without playing Street Fighter II...
~ Standing on the west side of the building, you can watch the donuts being rolled, filled, cut, twisted, stretched, and more...and it goes on all night...
~ Late night traffic was hot chicks, bad moms, wankstas, douchebags...& then there were Marlon & I...

Why I love Donutman's is the fresh seasonal fruit stuffed inside mouthwatering donuts. They make a glaze out of fresh peach wedges or strawberries for example, then stuff them in a glazed donut. So f*cking good. The fruit is always really fresh and juicy. You can tell they go to the farmer's market or something to get it. Dam, I want one right now, why's it gotta be so far from Huntington!?

Also their take on the standard donut items is way better than any mom n pop, or chain donut store, hands down.

I only like Krispy Kremes original glazed better, but it's hard to compare the two for me, but Donutman's right up there and they have a better selection of donuts, lot of ones i've never seen at any other donut joint.

Was recently introduced to this Glendora-based treat and it was packed like a mofo. I normally dislike most sweets but I could eat their cream cheese/berry swirl donut delight at any given time.

Also try some of the seasonal fruit stuffed donuts; right now it's peach but I'll be going back when strawberries are back in fashion.

Donut man!! These people are like the mad scientists of donut making! Gigantic donuts! Its like they took a regular donut from your local shop and super sized it. The donut stuffed with the fruit was a total experience in itself. It was so damn good!!! Whether you get the strawberry or the peach, I prefer the peach, it will be enough to leave you coming back for more. Oh and a word to the wise don't do what i did, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO EAT THE APPLE FRITTER OR BEAR CLAW BY YOURSELF! Its possible but man it will leave you stuffed for hours!

Donut Man is ALWAYS an adventure. Last time I went, while waiting in line for strawberry goodness, I started to beatbox, absentmindedly. Within a few seconds, all the people in line with me (most of them strangers, a few friends) started to drop their own beats. We freestyled for a good five minutes until folks got served (their donuts).
The time before I was in a donut eating contest. My team's car got parked in and floured by another team while we were getting our donuts on. The Donut Man is really quite tolerant of antics.
Dang, those strawberry-filled donuts taste just like a donut should. Heavenly.

How relevant is review # 248 of Donut Man? Probably, not very;  but I drove 26 miles for a d@mn donut and I am going to blog about it.

It's strawberry season and Donut Man is a legend of Yelp lore- like Scoops and Diddy Riese. You read so much about them, you get curious. And like Scoops and Diddy Riese, DM is overhyped. Not the fault of the venue, but these places rarely live up to the buzz.  The place is open 24 hours a day. In sleepy Glendora, that was a surprising fact.

The donut was good- a normal glazed donut with fresh strawberries and a pie-like glaze. It was sweet, as you can imagine and an ample serving. It could have used some fresh whipped cream and maybe even a drizzle of chocolate sauce- perhaps they'll read this and make a deluxe version.

Was it worth a 26 miles drive?  is any donut ever worth a 26 mile drive?  I'd have to say no.  To make it worth the drive, I consumed 2. Yes, I ate 2. I'm still full.    I invited a gang of friends to make it an outing and hanging out with good friends made it all worthwhile.

With 242 reviews ... I better make mine short and sweet to keep your attention.  Since my last review for The Donut Man was flagged, let me try and put this another way.

I like my donuts hot, fresh and moist.  What other things would you enjoy that are hot, fresh and moist?

I ordered the strawberry donut and tiger tail but unfortunately on my visit here they were not hot, not fresh and not moist.  Luckily for me it's not that far so I'd definitely be back whenever I feel like having some donuts.

You know how it is when you have high expectations for something and it doesn't live up to it.  Well this is how it was for me on my first visit to The Donut Man.

Looking at this picture ....  http://www.yelp.com/bi...  ... high expectations are a given.

All I can say is come in open minded and don't expect too much and you'll be fine.  Yeah I'm still talking about donuts and not the other thing.

PS ... i like my other version better, but that's why it was flagged.

I dare to say that this donut shop is the best in the nation. Having tried many donut shops -- both in CA and in other states -- I have yet to sample donuts with such rich consistency as to those found at Donut Man.

I love the strawberry donuts -- which are Donut Man's specialty. Essentially, the strawberry donut is a big glazed donut, with fresh strawberries stuffed into it. Excellent.

I also like Donut Man's conventional donuts, including sugar, glazed, chocolate...

Actually, I like everything.

Nonetheless, Donut Man is probably open right now -- regardless of the time. That is because this place is open 24 hours a day (for the exception of a select few holidays).

And you know this place is good when there is a group of people, huddled affront the donut shop at 2 AM on a weekday.

Holy Crap! I have to say I had my doubts.  "What this about fresh strawberry and peach donuts?" I sneered.  I barely missed their strawberry "season" so had to settle for the peach.  Fan-tastic.  These really are fresh sliced peaches, and there's a very light glaze that soaks into the donut. And the donut itself is one the best I've ever tasted... light and not greasy.

Also tried the tiger tail, glazed old fashioned, and raised (plain) glazed... all great.  The loser of the bunch was the raspberry cream cheese... the cream cheese frosting didn't taste like cream cheese, and it wasn't in the middle of the donut.  That's somehow disappointing.  And really, it wasn't a bad donut, just not as good as the others.

Stan's in Westwood may have fun flavors, but The Donut Man wins the overall donut battle.  Wherever I am, I'm definitely driving to get a strawberry donut!

Finally I've made it to review 300 and to Donut Man, Oh the fabled Donut heaven right?!? Well this was the day of Debbie Y. dance performance  http://www.yelp.com/ev... which was followed my dinner at Andolino's http://www.yelp.com/bi...  and yes you said it, the STRAWBERRY DONUT!!!!!

Now I get the hype about this thing. It is gynormous, it is amazingly fresh, it is made to order and it is also the only really amazing thing from this place based on a bit of sampling. Not wanting to limit myself to what is tried and true by so many I decided to sample the strawberry along with the raspberry filled, old fashioned,  crème cheese, maple bar, tiger tail, and a crumb donut.

Here is the verdict: Strawberry 5 stars, raspberry 4 stars, crème cheese, crumb, and tiger tail 2.5, maple bar 2 star (basically only because of size, it is pretty big), and old fashion 1 star. In all fairness to the old fashioned which usually is my favorite. Right after I ordered it I notice them dump the whole tray as if they were too old to sell and they were right, but I paid for mine and it was very stale which sucks. I basically took a few bites from each except the raspberry which I finished.

I do want to try the Bavarian since many folks ordered this with the strawberry so I have some hope for it too. Over all donut man can keep a high rating for the strawberry but I wouldn't recommend it for other donuts except maybe that peach one that is coming in season in just three week...YES!!!

Ok, had to try this infamous donut stand last night after dinner.  At first glance, I notice that they have a "Best of Yelp" plack on their window.  This is first time that I have ever seen this at a business.

I ordered the strawberry filled donut and Kevin C. got an array of 4 or 5 other kinds.  I devoured the strawberry and was so satisfied.  The stawberry was covered in syrup, but it was not too rich or sweet.  I like that the strawberrys were not cooked and is still fresh.  This made it a lot easier to eat the sugary donut.  It was the perfect combination.  I didn't get to try much of the other donuts, but did get a bite of the maple bar which was pretty good, the raspberry jelly was too sweet for me, and the old-fashion was kind of stale.  All in all, I think I will only go back for the strawberry or the peach (when it's in season in three weeks!!!).  Lily T.'s tiger tail also looked really good too.

Came back for our annual strawberry donuts last weekend, and as usual, the Donut Man didn't disappoint. Fresh, tasty, plump strawberries in a glazed sans-hole donut cut in half... who'd think it could be so tasty?

We'll definitely be back later in a couple months for the peach donuts. I'm salivating just thinking about them.

They didn't have any tiger tails this trip. Drat. Next time!

Last thing. Noticed they built a gym next door with the windows facing the Donut Man's building. The owner of that gym is one hell of a torturer! ;)

FFFRRREEESSHHH!!!

The rumblings are true-- strawberry and peach donuts are worth writing home about!

The strawberry donuts are quite memorable-- huge, fresh strawberries are injected into a flattened sphere of freshly glazed deliciousness. The peach donuts are done in a similar fashion but I must admit that this one outshines the former. The peaches are FRESH beyond belief-- the slices are generous and macerated with sugar to perfection.

Although these two tend to outshine the other varieties at Mister Donut, I also give high accolades to the apple-filled donuts with cinnamon on top, the tiger tail, and the donuts topped with cream cheese and raspberry sauce. The cinnamon rolls and bear claws are ridiculously huge!

All the donuts are fresh, fluffy, and perfectly sweetened. Other perks are the low prices and the very friendly staff, who go above and beyond in customer service (e.g., package "to go" orders with care).

My parents called me. "Honey, our regular airport driver told us about this place he goes to anytime he is near Glendora. Its open 24/7 and they are always baking donuts. He said the donuts are huge and more like a meal. Have you heard of them?"

Me: "um ahhhh (clicks Yelp on iPhone) ummm Donut Man?"

Parents: "Yes! Donut man. We are heading over tomorrow. We are getting donuts"

By the time they got here, they had orders from their neighbors who have known about this place for years.

We get there. Some of the donuts look like manhole covers. I did my yelp research and went with the tiger tail. Why no peach? I do not like peach which is why I am doing this review for my parents. Even though I adore Homer Simpson, I have never said, wow. I so need a donut. So, overall for me, this was a nice place to know about if I ever want to bring fresh donuts somewhere that will make the crowd happy or pile a car high with tipsy friends and watch them chow down. The tiger tail was fresh, yummy but not ethereal.

However. My dad got the lemon donut and actually growled at me when I came close. I was just offering napkins. He thought I was after his food.

Mom got the Peach donut and was embarrassed to ask for a fork. Do not worry. They have em!

Dad then got the Apple fritter. He almost locked himself in the car alone to make sure it was all his.

At the end of the day, they went back to pick up the to go order for their neighbors. Bavarian and Cream Cheese were the highlights of their second visit there.

Thank goodness I am not a huge donut fan. This place would be quite dangerous!
