Dog House Inn cared for our puppy after he was rescued by a good samaritan.  He is calm, happy and well adjusted.

Terry is extremely nice and helpful, and although I haven't met Rommey, my husband has, and she was very helpful as well.

We plan to take advantage of the puppy training classes at the Inn as soon as Tuco is ready.  Their boarding fees are also extremely reasonable.

Update time.  I love the people at Dog House Inn.  All of the ladies working down there are top shelf, attentive, knowledgeable, and most important care about the dogs.  Chuy's development I attribute 100% to Dog House Inn and to Mary Cortani.  Please give these people your business.

I have an English Bulldog, Buster, who I adopted through the Northern CA Bulldog Rescue in 2004.  Without any prior history on him, I found out quickly that Buster was dog aggressive.  We spent many dollars on specialized classes through private trainers and the SF/SPCA.  None of the classes helped to control Buster's aggression.  After seeing an episode of The Dog Whisperer, I knew that I needed to find a trainer who utilized the same methods of "Dog Psychology" to help Buster, especially since his aggression was becoming worse and he was starting to bite people.  Doing a Google search, I was able to find Sherry Boyer and the Dog Behavior Rehab program.

Sherry and her staff (Rommey and Terry) all worked diligently and patiently with Buster for a month, then an extra 2 weeks at another time, in order to make sure Buster was going to be a good boy when he came home.  I saw remarkable results with Buster!  His aggression has really decreased, not just because they trained Buster, but Sherry and the staff mostly trained ME on how to deal with him!  Thanks Dog House Inn!!!

I didn't realize how hard it is to find a boarding facility until we had to find one for our beagle, Louie while we were away for a vacation.  We searched high and low, looked at all reviews and never found one that suited our needs when it comes to the care for our dear Louie.

Thank goodness a friend recommended this place - since they also used Dog House Inn for their own dog's boarding.  She highly recommended this place and told us that we will be at peace knowing Louie is going to be in good hands.

Sherry was very accomodating even with only a week's notice.  She invited us to come down and check out the place, take a tour and learn about what they do in terms of dog accomodations.  We also got a chance to meet with the rest of the trainers and they all seemed knowledgeable and most importantly, had great love for dogs!!!

Louie stayed at the Inn for 10 days and when we picked him up, he was happy and excited to see us.  He was happily running around with the rest of the pack and Sherry told us that they had no problems with him at all.

This place is highly and greatly recommended!  They will take care of your dog with great care!  Don't be surprised if your dog comes home with a better behavior - always a plus!

We discovered this wonderful place for our "girls" some time ago. Between business and personal travel, we've had to board our girls several times in the last year; each time, we know we can count on the folks at the Dog House Inn to take extra care of our babies...our 50+ pound babies.

Everyone at the Inn is super friendly.  Prior to our first visit, we called with questions.  Then we called back with more questions.  Then again with even more.  They were never impatient with us and seemed happy to answer the same question over and over.  On our first visit, they let us tour the facility so we could see exactly where our girls would be staying.  They were obviously sensitive to the fact that I was a nervous owner and they were happy to let me take some time to get used to their place!  We felt so comfortable...it was the first time I'd ever left the dogs without crying.

I just love this place - and I think you would too.

UPDATE!!!!

So I don't even know where to begin. Sherry is amazing.  It has been a while but we have gotten our monster back.  I was having some difficulty getting him to listen to me, so I contacted Sherry.... She went so far as to come to my house (and I live FAR from Gilroy) and spend the afternoon with me and my boyfriend and my dogs.

She walked with us, evaluated my lifestyle at home and left me with so much great information.  Having her presence has really helped and the fact that she came so out of her way and has dedicated so much to me and my dogs is unheard of in today's world.

She has just been amazing.  In the last three days, I have seen a big turnaround in my dog and couldn't have done it without her.

She is incredibly knowledgable and really knows how to control dogs so that the owner and the dog are happy.

I have also taken my dachshund there for boarding while I was away on vacation.  I just love the fascility and the training program.

I have only rave reviews for this place!

p.s... i am a REAL dog owner.....not some foo foo "i love pets" kind of owner....not a "oooh let me put my dog in my pocket and spoil them" kind of owner...but a real dog owner who spends a lot of time researching and reading about dog behavior and breed tendencies....so for Sherry to walk into my life; well, she has helped me tremendously!

My dog Oliver loves the Dog House Inn!. We take him for daycare, boarding and I also take training classes at the facility. Every aspect is top notch. I never worry about my dog being with aggressive dogs because they do a free 3 hour evaluation to see if your dog can be with the general dog population or in a more private exercise area. All play is always supervised by a responsible dog trainer. It's also cool because they have nap times mid day to give the dogs a rest from the non-stop play. When I drive down from San Jose he knows where we are and starts jumping around the car with excitement. It's worth the drive! Oliver also loves to see the dog friendly cats.

We were lucky enough to get Mary and she was kind enough to come out to Monterey(she also spoke to me over the phone at length). Our dog is a pound adoption and was (is) dog, people, bird aggressive. We could not walk him without a scene.  At his first vet visit, he pitched such a fit(biting, etc) that his now former vet told me to return him to the pound. Imagine one of those insane chihuahuas on DW and that would be our Chuy, except he comes with bonus Min Pin. Within three hours Mary had him heeling on walks, ignoring people and other animals while being very receptive to our commands.  She is very professional, like a Cesar or Victoria, not like the whack job from that Canadian show. She was very gentle correcting our behavior and gave us all the tools we need to work with him. She will even bring the actual tools, like special collars. This lady knows her stuff , she saved us a ton of trial and error. The money is worth it to have a balanced, healthy animal.Ask for Mary if you have aggression issues. She has saved Chuy's life. Chuy will be attending class with Mary, so I will update.
