I love the people here--theiir volunteers are wonderfully compassionate, funny, friendly, and nice.  The atmosphere is relaxed, the products excellent and wide ranging.

As far as being in the TL--well, you know, they are a block off Van Ness, and with the new developements in the area, this part of the neighborhood is pretty safe.  If you feel like you must have it, they'll walk you to your car.  How's that for customer service??

yeah man!! I agree with Sean K....best club in SF.  I was all about Grass Roots but these guys have just as good a selection at better prices.  Cool staff and I'm big fan of free shit, so getting some edibles for a bigger purchase is fine by me.  Got some crazy ass purple bud called Sweet Grapes...BLAM!! Purple like a muther f...

All you need to do is check the tab that says (about this place/business) and you'll get your answer as to how legit of a business they are. They acutally TELL YOU which cards they like and dr's to check out. Call them..guess what? they'll actually answer the phone! This is a real business and their prices are various-didn't see anything that topped 55 bucks 8th. Doorman was cool as bleep and no hassel. No crackhead custmors ( green door) even for being in the TL. I was sketchy on seeing this place having nothing but 5 stars. I went in there for myself-5 stars it is. Hands down the best experience for buying bud in the city. Usually open later on holidays than most clubs. Nice comfy seating as you wait. All buds are weighed right infront of you all buds stored easily so you can inspect them as you wait.

came here and everything went smooth. i like the fact that Divinity Tree labels the herbs as they package it in front of you. Good to know what strains are what. Prices are decent at 55 1/8th. Me and my friend ended up leaving with 6 strains for $110, the Cindy 99 looking the most appetizing. Will venture out to this convenient location next time we're around tenderloin

Stopped by today around 12 PM or so. I wasn't looking for top shelf this time, because I've been paying way too much lately for my meds. I picked up a 1/2 oz. of Lemon Kush and Green Ape for $160 each. The Lemon Kush looks nice and has that citrus aroma. The Green Ape had nice big buds. The lady who helped me was very sweet. I think her name was either Marilyn or Meredith? sorry, bad with names.

She also threw in a Vegan Chocolate Chip cookie for free (she said they're $7, 3 doses in it). I love this place.  It may just become one of my regular stops whenever I'm in town.

Best club in San Francisco...period. I am a  big fan of Grass Roots as well as APC. But Divinity Tree has a bigger selection a great staff and the prices are the best I have found yet. I have noticed a lot of the clubs I have visited have a tiered pricing system. I tend to go to the high end of that scale and it gets damn expensive..But, I just can't help myself. That said, I think 60.00-70.00 and 8th has almost become standard and lets be honest...that is CRAZY! I left the Divinity Tree with a quarter made of up of 2 separate 8ths of their top shelf strains (55.00 each) for 100.00!! This is my new favorite! I have had my card for 10 months and feel like I did my self a dis service by only going to one club for the bulk of my first year. You gotta get out and check several dispensaries before settling on your favorite, You never know what your missing.

Divinity Tree is a cool little club with great prices on quality medication. Awesome deals and sales on everything from concentrates, to edibles, to good old fashioned buds. Selection is good and staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about everything they carry. Make sure to talk to Miriam when you go she the sweetest lady ever, she knows all there is to know about everything there and she'll hook you up (provided she likes you).

This place is kinda small though so if you're looking for a cafe type environment then you might want to check out CMC on Sutter although you'll pay much more there.

Really cool dispensary, good selection and fair prices. Good selection of fruity strains, the lemon kush being outstanding. Parking a pain but not a huge issue. Staff was nice and knowledgeable. Co op members get better prices so it pays to become one. I was impressed with the overall selection of concentrates. Will definitely be back.

My absolute favorite dispensary in the Bay Area.  High grade selection is usually top notch with at least 3 hard choices to choose from. The extract selection is not only huge but the prices are highly competitive.  The staff is some of the more knowledgeable and friendly of the clubs.  I don't know what else to say other than this is the place to go for quality medication. I have never made the trip across the bay and come home disappointed.

The Divinity Tree is great. I love the selections of concentrates here and the ability to buy a discount co-op card! Takes from 5-10 dollars away from regular price. I once saw a gram of some kief for 15 dollars with the discount. Very nice staff except for one I had a problem with. I was just looking around and he kept pushing me to buy something without giving me nearly a minute to look first, I mean it was my first time there, no need for all that. Other than that one annoying staff, I love this dispensary.

Ok so i love this place but for good reason. After i left the club i went to my friends house down the street he had a scale i wanted to check the weight of all my sacks and they were at least 2-5 points over "on grams". i was super stoked to know they have best bud, best prices, and they hook you up man it doesn't get better than that. much love Also check into there co-op program allows you to get buds, hash, brownies, or what ever for a little cheaper and its pay as you go. cool deal

Edit: 3/07: If you are a medical cannabis patient and you have problems with chronic nausea, you NEED to come to the Divinity Tree. They have a tincture there- it has either Ganesha (Super Leaded) or Lakshmi (Quieter but still Potent Leaded), which has worked miracles for me. I've had problems with keeping down food for the last 2 years but no more. This tincture is *the BEST* cannabis tincture in the city- and I feel bad cheatin' on all the other great clubs out there, but this is true. =) It's a glycerin base, and that's all I can say....besides the flavor is actually *good*. The tincture boosted them from 4 stars to 5 in my book.
Not only do they have this magickal tincture but  customer service can't be beat- once you're known, you're family and are treated at the very least with a big smile when they let ya in the door.
The quality of the medicine has improved vastly. Listen to the people behind the counter: they're not there to sell you pot. They're there to help you.

My original review:

The first time I tried the Divinity Tree, I was a little bummed. The area it's located in isn't exactly savory. If you're wearing any colors, be prepared to represent yourself, and in general, try to look like a resident- not a tourist. I think they eat tourists around here. I'm glad I came back: now, onto the club itself.

The ambiance: A person really needs to visit the Divinity Tree a few times in order to get a real feel for her. The staff is very friendly amongst themselves, and regulars often just sit in the waiting room and chat away with their friends. I've not seen any medicating on premisise yet- sorry, guys!
If you're a first timer or just quiet, you may be overlooked, and you will definitely be treated in a slightly brusque manner.

**Don't even try to get in without a card or your Drs letter (not a copy- the original) and your ID*****
For some reason this club has alot of people trying to get in without qualitications. Be nice to the staff and nice to yourself: and have your card prepped. If you don't, you'll be turned away. Once nicely, and a second time, possibly banned.

The club feels rather tiny (think of a 1 1/2 car garage that's stacked with a storefront, two couches, and about 10 people... Wait! It doesn't just feel tiny- it IS tiny!
There's a small waiting room in the front with a couch where you and your fellow state-legal cannabis consumers can wait in order to have GOOD customer service. It is a stretch to have 5 people in the waiting room. Only 5 people are allowed in the purchasing room at one time- but that's alright: your reward for patience is that you get to sniff, touch, poke, prod and taste (well, almost) the buds. The nice thing about the DT is that when you're at the counter, you are the most important person in the room.

The buds:    The heart of any good cannabis club review is the essence of it all: your medication. The Divinity Tree has IMO the best variety of cannabis at the best prices in the city.
Their prices do reflect the quality of the ganja- and the standard measure of a portion of green, fragrant plant matter will run you between 45-55 dollars. I believe I have seen cheaper, although I didn't purchase. There are many edibles and excellent hash and kief to be had- they've grown since I first reviewed them!

The staff is always up front- and they know their product- these guys seem like alot of fun once you get to know them. =) Once I actually spoke with the staff, I gained much respect: most of them VOLUNTEER here. =) That in and of itself gets a star. These people have alot of love for the herb.

For an extra 30 bucks, you can join the co-op, and thus get co-op prices. I decided to go for it (VOLUNTEERS!). Medical marijuana needs my money!
The woman behind the counter (who I later became friends with) was nice enough to let me pay in installments for my membership, so I basically save money every time I purchase. If you're good at kissing ass (or you're just really nice), you might be able to work that deal too.

If you're in SF,  I highly recommend you stop off at the Divinity Tree.
Just keep in mind:

Divinity Tree ISN'T a huge, very impressive/nice store....but it has it where it counts.

The Divinity Tree IS a family feel store- knowledgable, cautiously friendly, and welcoming. it's the 'neighborhood tavern' of the cannabis clubs in San Francisco, and I personally am all for getting a pint!

Who knows, you might just decide to 'join the family'. I did.

Just got back from here, the Organic Afghooey is amazing! It could easily  go for $30 a half 1/8th but they do it for $25. I didn't get to look at too many things because I was on a budget but  this seems like my new favorite club, friendly people and they definitely know the meds. A perfect balance of affordable pricing, quality meds, smart staff and convenient location.

Like at most clubs the staff here are the coolest people.  Unlike most clubs when you ask for a recommendation they're always on point.  Their hash melts are strong.

this is a nice club. Join the coop for $30 and get discounts everytime you go! The people are very nice. You can't medicate there though. It is in the Tenderloin but don't let that scare you. They have a large selection of concentrates! And for the reviewer that said the state card and OCBC will go out of business. Why do you say that? I would think Medicann would get closed first. They are just getting rich off of making medical marijuana referrals! The state and OCBC don't make referrals.
