It's a difficult thing to decide on the best breakfast place on Cape Cod... there are just too many amazing establishments.
I'd say The Daily Paper is in my top five. My gf says it's her favorite, solely because of "how fluffy the Eggs Benedict is"... I guess if you really like Eggs Benedict, this is your place.
The Daily Paper is ALWAYS crazy busy on the weekends, so either get there early, late, or get ready to wait.
They serve Beanstock Coffee, local to the Cape, and also my personal favorite Joe. Not only that, but while you're waiting, you can help yourself to a cup of coffee, which I very much appreciate.
Really tasty food. -

My brother and his kids are crazy about this place, as are legions of others, as you will find out when you show up for breakfast and see all of the cars. But, you can get coffee while you wait for your table, which is a nice touch. Good food, and plenty of it. Standard breakfast treats - omelettes, waffles, french toast, etc. Service was not so great when we visited - waitress was a college kid who didn't seem to be on top of her game. Good for families...and the gluttonous.

I love breakfast and decided to go here this past saturday. The place was packed at 9:30 but our party of 7 was sat within 10 minutes. Food was normal breakfast fare nothing special. I am always looking for a good homemade corned beef hash. I asked if they made their own as the menu suggested and she assured me they did. I got a side and it may have been cooked on a flat top but did resemble the canned variety very much although I do think they did make. Consensus: keep searching for good hash.
It was giod but would not go back again as it was just like the rest. -

Never have I went here and thought to myself "I can't wait to come back!".
Breakfast is good, they have some really good specials. Lunch is hit or miss. Last time in I had an issue with the meatloaf sandwich, it tasted off. I had my dad try it(what a nice gesture huh? this tastes awful - you try it!) and he agreed. I informed the waitress and she went back to speak with the cook. She came back and said "he tried some and he thinks it's fine". Didn't take my plate, just kind of shrugged. I'm not the type of person who complains when faced with someone who is being that obtuse(Shawshank reference!). My dad finished his, we paid, and left. Neither of us has been back since. For breakfast I'll hit Percys or the Little Sandwich Shop. -

I haven't really ever gone for the food, only the free WIFI that is provided. Went once for a coffee and an apple juice. They were both nice.
Also, went a few other times in their parking lot after they are closed. They don't turn off their WIFI, so if you just park your car, you can enjoy the internet till your computer battery dies or a police officer wonders what the hell you are doing. -

How can I not love a place that reminds me SO much of home? This place was very busy, as if it was the beginning of the tourist season- but it was an ordinary but beautiful Sunday.
We got here around 10ish- the parking lot was packed as was the restaurant. We had a pretty long wait- or so it felt. Maybe 25+ mins? It was fine though, even though we happened to be in the way.
They have a pretty extensive but atypical breakfast fare- the kicker are their specials. THOSE were special, different and delicious- what I always aim for.
They had about 7 different specials- My friends and I got the 2,3 and 4. Mine had bacon carmelized onions, mushrooms and bluecheese. Another had mozz, tomato, and another had olives, feta and some other stuff. All so delicious, good size omelettes in conjunction with prices. And they weren't heavy feeling even with heavy ingredients. Perfectly cooked and not oily! Prices are very good for being on The Cape. Home fries that came with the meal were fine. Not amazingly seasoned, but not disapointing. Coffee was delicious and fresh.
Service was pretty decent especially since it was so hectic and our waitress was running around like mad.
Cute diner stylesque decor, retroish feel. I'll be back.
The meal, coffee, tax& tip rounds out to be about $14 a person. Works for me =) -

We eat here all the time. Great food & staff! As close to perfect a restaurant as I've found.

Again I wish 3.5 was an option, but I'll settle on 3. My wife and her breakfast club go here often out of convenience and are always happy with the food. Had my first visit for lunch and it was good. Wife loved her chicken salad sandwich with apples and grapes. I had a burger which I typically use as a starting point with a new place. If you can't do a decent burger, you don't usually get a second visit. Burger was large and tasty with fresh, crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes and thin-cut onions. It was also perfectly cooked to "medium" , which is saying something for a diner-style place. Not a ton of fries, but they were enough given the burger's size. Food arrived quickly and the waitstaff was fine, if not overly friendly. Prices were good.

Expensive and mediocre food. Dry pancakes and so so bagles.

Went on a busy Sunday (breakfast only) and missed out on one chalkboard special that sounded great from what I could decipher from the smudges. Had a special dried berry granola-topped Belgian waffle that was sweet and crispy. It said 100% maple syrup was part of the special, but I'm not sure if it was already soaked into the waffle. Either way, it was tasty. Prices are a little inflated, but the service was friendly and attentive. I'd try it again!

Impatient waitstaff with a bit of an edge. Our server was nice enough, but others made some inappropriate comments. For example, when asked if toast comes with pancake combinations, she snapped, "Pancakes are your starch!"
The pancakes were mediocre at best. Food was not memorable otherwise. Prices are average.
But it's pretty much the only diner around Craigville Beach. -

Judging on the food alone 'the daily paper' might deserve a 3-star rating, but all things considered I cannot give this place more than a single star.
For one thing, a place called 'the daily paper' has FOX News Channel on it's big flat-screen TV... If that's not irony I don't know what is. Though of course, it is easy enough to look the other way.
For what you get I found the menu overpriced, and the food was just 'ok'. The service and waitstaff however deserve a negative-star rating if it were only possible. I've only been to this establishment twice and both times the service has been awful... my order was wrong or missing items, and the waitress tried to pass blame onto me; when I could see, clear as day that she wasn't paying attention to me as I gave her my order.
Next time you are looking for some breakfast in the Hyannis area I would suggest to keep going down W. Main st until you hit one of the other little breakfast stops or even the Pancake Man in Yarmouth. -

While we stayed in the center of town, the reviews of the local places for breakfast were very uneven. Decided it was worth trying a place a bit off the beaten path and was not disappointed. None of my family of 4 tried any of the specials, which all sounded very good, but we were all very happy with our omelets, pancakes, french toast and bagel sandwhiches. In spite of the waitstaff reviews here, or perhaps because of them, our waitress was excellent and very attentive.
Definitely will return next time we're in Hyannis. -

Delicious breakfast! Hostess and waitress were very nice and efficient, especially considering how busy the place was. When there are that many people waiting for a sunday brunch table, you know it's going to be worth the wait. Blueberry French toast and omelette special of the day were delicious!

Another stormy Sunday morning on the Cape. The Savage recommended the Daily Paper for breakfast. The 5 of us sampled a couple of different coffees while we waited for a table. Once seated Andrea efficiently took our orders. The Savage opted for the Pumpkin Pancakes with Walnuts special over her normal, to die for Raisin French Toast at Andrea's suggestion. "The French Toast is always on the menu but the pancakes are a very special, special." Andy & Graham ordered a couple of wonderful omelets. Becky ordered the Butternut Squash & Apple hash special. She & I usually don't get the same thing but when Andrea came to me I gave her my GF Card and asked if I could have the hash too. The chef confirmed the hash didn't contain any of the 6 foods I can't have and he'd make it in a separate pan and not on the grill. The hash, home fires and two eggs over-easy were delightful. Hold the toast thank you. Super service and great food. The 5 of us will return.

I've always been out-of-control happy about breakfast at The Daily Paper and wilted and limp about lunch. Lunch is common fare and, no matter how wonderfully prepared, a Reuben is a Reuben is a sandwich. Nine weeks ago The Paper opened for dinner on Thursday and Friday nights from 5 to 9. I've know for a long time that the kitchen staff knows good eats and has high standards. So, with expectations set seemingly out of reach, I wondered if dinner would match breakfast or lunch on our satisfaction scale. We ordered the Fisherman Platter for $15.25 and the Feta Pasta for $12.50. The Platter came with a pile of fries, two large chunks of cod, 5 onion rings, 5 scollops and 5 whole clams. It was done perfectly in a light batter quick fried in fresh oil. The tarter sauce and coleslaw are both homemade. The fettucini would satisfy the fussiest connoisseurs palate. Terrific noodles with artichoke, black olives and fresh tomato. Two delicious rolls were served as starters, rye raisin and wheat. Our server, Alyssa, was a pro. Five gold stars for dinner at The Daily Paper. They do have a kids menu.
