I forgot to write a review a year and a half ago when we got my 10 month old son's hair cut here. He had a crazy amount of hair and couldn't even really sit up on his own yet but Jan did a great job on his hair and was very patient with him and us as he had to sit on my husbands lap.
Speed ahead to today when his twins sister at 2 1/2 finally went in for her first haircut. I was a little nervous because she's so young and isn't great at sitting still. Jan also cut her hair and was still extra patient and was able to give her a great cut even with my daughter bouncing all around the chair. It looks great!
I highly suggest taking young children here they do a great job and have a lot of patience and even a cute little play area. -

I have been getting my haircut here for most of my life; I have tried many other placesand stylists but always end up back here. Super friendly atmosphere and you're in good hands no matter which stylists you get. Can't beat the prices either....5 stars...make it 6 :)

I hate to start with a new person for my haircut.
It usually takes 2 to 4 visits to get them "trained."
But wow, Jan got it right the first time.
And the second time, 3rd, etc. ... -

I was the owner for over seven years and now a very satisfied customer of the Cut Scene for over fifteen, and I have yet to find a better cosmologist then Janice Mayers.
Aside from her excellent work, she has been a true friend and accomplished business woman.
I would urge anyone looking for a great beauty salon and some excellent cosmetologists in addition to Jan, to visit and try the Cut Scene. -

I've been going to Tracy at the Cut Scene for years and have never been disappointed. She is friendly and funny and very talented. She is always going to hair shows and learning new cuts and I feel like she stays on top of the trends. I always get a lot of compliments on my hair after she works her magic.
Recently I took my daughters to see Jan and Marcie and they did fabulous jobs. Jan spent an hour cutting my 5 year olds hair because my daughter wanted a specific hair style. Jan took her time and didn't try to rush a thing. The results were fantastic. Tons of people asked me where she had it cut.
The best thing about this place is that they really listen to what I ask for and they always give me what I want -

I was pleasantly surprised by The Cut Scene. I've been getting my hair cut in San Francisco, at Blade Runners, for years but wanted to find a place closer to home in Pacifica. I saw Marcie and she was fantastic. She was quiet at first, but I think she was super focused on what she was going to do with my cut and color. She warmed up considerably after a while and gave me a meticulous haircut and great color and highlights for $125, which is considerably less than I'm used to paying.

Another thing I miss about Pacifica is Jan at The Cut Scene! She's great. I have curly hair which I am nervous about letting just anyone cut. She listens to exactly what you request and never goes overboard. She's got a lot of happy clients, its a friendly salon. She has good hours too so you can go after work. Jan, I miss you!

Tracy is awesome!!!!!!! I'm sooooo happy my friend referred me to her!!!!!! I have never been so happy with my hair. For years, hairstylists have made excuses why I can't have what I want and I have spent a fortune on my hair to just look so-so. I understand that I have difficult fine hair and I want to wear it platinum blonde with layers. However, the first time I went to Tracy it was perfect. She had a lot to correct with the color and cut but some how she managed to fix everything. My husband and I couldn't believe it. I feel Tracy is a very technical stylist and keeps up with current trends. She really listens to what you want and she is always educating herself which shows in her work.
Everyone in the salon is very friendly and I always enjoy going to get my hair done!!!! -

I love this salon! Tracy has done my hair for the past 3 years and she is professional and friendly each time. Her prices are reasonable , but she is popular, so if you want to see her, make sure that you call ahead!

I have been going to the Cut Scene since moving to Pacifica. I love the service, Tracy is fantastic and I am always thrilled when I leave the salon. She is fantastic with both color and cuts. She just knows what the best look is for you. I would continue going even if I didn't live in the neighborhood.

I've lived in Pacifica for nine years and I contnued to have my son's and my hair cut in SF. NOT ANYMORE! My son really wanted ahaircut, but with his tight schedule I didn't have time to take him into the city. While gettinghis teethe cleaned up the street, we looked in the Pacifica Directory and found The Cut Scene. Marci was wonderful to my son. He was able toopen up to her and express what he wanted. something, he NEVER did before to his stylists. MEanwhile, I entertained my toddler with the knick knacks at the kids play table. When he got in the carmy said, "Marci is my favorite! We're going back there again." After dropping my son off to a game, I came back to get a trim and style from Jan. She was wonderful. She took her time, great personality, and talented. Though my toddler was preoccupied with a bottle, Marci took the time to play with him without me next to him. This is something he rarely does. In the proceeding days, My son and I received numerous compliments for our hair. I can't rave more about this place. The energy was great, the price is right, and the service was the best!
