We loved having the Cupcake Bar be apart of our wedding day!
The coordinator was a delight to organize with, and worked well with the wedding coordinator. The Bartenders were great to our guests and on time with set up. Professional & exceptional service from beginning to end!
Our guests, especially the kids, loved the "event" of making their own cupcakes at the ceremony and The Austin Cupcake Bar were the reason for all the happy faces! -

I found The Cupcake Bar on yelp when I was looking for something unique to add a little pizzazz for a cocktail party I threw for my mom. Lori was not only incredibly nice and responsive, she went out of her way to help me make it happen. When you are planning events, the value of a vendor who is helpful and..lest I say it...actually nice...its really priceless.
The Cupcake Bar will come to your location with a FULL setup (table and all) and someone to serve as the Bartender. For me, they even had a set up that matched my black, white, and red theme. The setup is very cute and feels extremely professional. You select cakes, fillings, icing, and toppings before, based on certain tiers (for example, tres leches and gingerbread are "higher" tiers). Then the bartender will serve your guests whatever combination of those items. I was impressed by our bartender, Rachel. She was extremely friendly, engaged with the guests, and did a great job creating cute little cupcakes. I went with the upgraded tier with the mini cupcakes, and it was fun for all the guests. The cupcakes were yummy and looked very nice.
Obviously something like this is great for a wedding, but its also a great addition to a cocktail party, baby shower, or other event. It adds a little extra something and stands out to guests. And since Lori and team are so nice, that's just icing on the cake (yea, I did it). So while its not a bargain (thus the half star), I think its definitely worth it. -

So cute.

(but never so-so).
Any time these ladies put an event together with House Wine I completely light up, "Cupcake and wine pairings you say?!"
So I e-mailed them to host my first ever birthday party (on Valentine's Day). Both business's make it work, everyone is psyched to come (you offer up champagne and cupcakes who doesn't light up)? And the cupcakes come build-to-order. What more could you ask? "I want the gummy bears on the champagne frosting with coconut flakes on a rich chocolate caramel-filled cupcake."
How often can you say such things?
Not often enough... which is why you should totally have these ladies at your next event (and invite me). -

What's that you say? You're having a party and you need some cupcakes - I think the Cupcake Bar can help.
This is the love ... I mean brain ... child of Figs Catering. And it's genius if you ask me. Here's how it works:
1. You choose the cupcakes, the fillings, the icings, and the toppings ... 2. They send a Cupcake Bartender and all of your cupcakes and other little pretties to the appointed location - maybe it's your house, or the park, or a party barge ... they aim to please
3. You and your guests then watch the Cupcake Bartender concoct made-to-order cupcakes right before your very eyes ...
Sure, you could make your own cupcakes and it would be cheaper, but this is about novelty, ease of use, cool points, and guaranteed deliciousness ...
I had them cupcake bartend on a party barge full of people who were eating Rudy's barbeque and making ample use of the margarita machine and I'm telling you, people are *still* talking about how cool the Cupcake Bar was ... it may cost a tiny fortune, but it will win you fame with your friends.Listed in: Sweetness and Delight, For a Good Time Call ...

mini cupcakes and wine? Yes please, count me in.
I recently went to one of the house wine and cupcake bar happy hour events with a group of co workers.
cupcakes were delightful--I got to try 3 of the mini specialty cupcakes.
dark chocolate with chocolate buttercream frosting
strawberry w/ strawberry filing and whipped cream frosting
and caramel apple filled with caramel
My favorite was the caramel apple cupcake--the fact that they were mini cupcakes made me feel less guilty for eating three. I did almost go up for another round (of 3)...
Cupcake baristas were really nice and their polka dot aprons made me smile. They gave fabulous recommendations for "extras" on the cupcakes too.
Can't wait for the next cupcake happy hour!! -

don't look to the cupcake bar if you just need a box of cupcakes.
it's all about the experience, and the service.
think of it as a cupcake caterer.
a dessert barista.
whatever you want to call it.
just know: it's good.
last year, i got a groupon and used them as gift for my office team.
it ended up being more cost effective for me to cater a group of 30.
a co-worker friend split the cost with me.
otherwise, this would have been out of my personal budget.
however, my budget was pretty low considering.
you are getting really high quality ingredients and service.
some people may balk at the cost, compared to bakery cupcakes.
but, catering is always more costly because it includes service.
it was definitely worth it.
the concept:
choose your flavors and toppings
upgrade with more options if you want
someone comes to you with everything and sets up shop
they create a small bar area, and decorate it seasonally
all the cupcakes and toppings are out for everyone's choosing
everyone takes turns pimping out their dessert
there are custom cupcake holders to make it all easier
they have cute little uniforms, too!
everyone was really impressed with the unusual concept.
and they loooooooved the goodies.
it was a topic of conversation for some time.
some of our managers had been invited and were impressed.
as a result, our office hired them back for some company-wide gigs.
i am so glad because it's a great local business to support.
they also participate in events around town.
so, you may have a chance to try them out at some point.
if you are looking for something with a wow factor, you found it. -

When planning my wedding, one of the goals was to create an evening where all of my guests had a chance to participate. Thankfully I found the Cupcake Bar. Not only are the cupcakes awesome (much better than those famous cupcakes in NY), the cupcake bar was a fun interactive activity. Everyone LOVED it. My friends and family said they had 2nds, 3rds, and even 4ths. And they raved about the candy options. The Cupcake Bar was an essential component of the evening. It definitely kept the evening lively, and everyone entertained.

I am a bit of a cupcake snob, usually preferring my own homemade cupcakes over any you find in a bakery. However, The Cupcake Bar was a pleasant surprise treat at a recent baby shower I attended. I opted for the red velvet cake with buttercream frosting (which was colored hot pink!) and Twix bits on top w/ an actual dash of sparkle added for good measure...if you haven't guessed already -- heaven! Do I think most party events should include The Cupcake Bar? Absolutely. Can most people afford such a luxury? I have no idea what it costs, but let's hope so.

What an ingenious idea -- a (mini) cupcake catering service! The Cupcake Bar brings the cupcakes to you with an assortment of toppings, from M&M's to miniature Oreo's to chocolate chips. The fabulous thing about The Cupcake Bar is that you get to customize your own teeny cupcakes (and have as many as you want without feeling guilty because they're so tiny)! You can choose among three or so different flavors of cupcakes and then have the option of different fillings inside the cupcake and icing flavors on top. Then you can add as many toppings as your little heart desires.

I was an out of town bride from Chicago getting married in Austin. I had no leads or referrals for a cake, until I came across the Austin Cupcake Bar.
They were a pleasure to work with, easy to figure everything out, pick cakes, filling, toppings, etc. FUN!
Having them at a wedding is a piece of cake...or rather cupcake. They arrive early, set up the 'bar', and serve guests their created cupcake. The guests loved them and said they were yummy, moist and exactly what they wanted on their wedding goodie.
The cupcakes were yummy, set up/break down was easy (I barely knew they were there, so unobtrusive) and a cute idea different from a traditional cake.

We also had The Cupcake Bar at our wedding. Needless to say, nobody missed the traditional wedding cake! From the early planning stages of the wedding forward, The Cupcake Bar staff was a delight to work with--responsive, flexible, and professional. All of our guests raved about the cupcakes, and the kids especially enjoyed picking out the candy toppings. We are so happy we chose The Cupcake Bar for our wedding!

I hired the Cupcake Bar for my daughter's 7th birthday and was delighted with the outcome! They arrived on time and set up quickly and efficiently--they brought everything they needed, so I was free to focus on the party rather than answering questions or fetching things for them. The kids loved getting to pick their favorite flavors of cupcakes, icing, filling and toppings, and the cupcakes were truly delicious! Cara, the cupcake bartender, was super friendly and very patient with the kids. Lori, the owner, was great to work with, too. I wasn't sure if this would be the best choice for a kids' birthday party since it seems as though they do a lot of adult events, but it was a big hit and provided both the entertainment and the cake which made my job as party planner a lot easier! I highly recommend them!
