depending on the day/ night it can get crowded but at the same time it has such a cozy feel with the couches and the lighted candles as you get to sit back and talk to your friends listening to open mic.

For me it's a great unwinding spot w/o the hassle of going far

When I first moved to the area in '98, the Cup was a decent place to go.  Kind of the outsiders only vibe.  But now it's just wanna be hipsters who don't really get what customer service is.  My girlfriend and I walked it, found a decent table and waited at least 5 minutes for the waitress to stop chatting with her coworkers.  I ordered a pom tea and salad and my friend got a dessert coffee of some sort.  the salad (for around $10) was hardly anything and the apples, cucumbers and tomatoes were HUGE.  They forgot the whip cream on the coffee which when asked for it, seemed to perplex the poor girl.

The music, however, is awesome and perfect for the setting.  They used to have outdoor seating which was awesome and in the winter it was really pretty.  Don't know what happened there, waa waa.

I've been coming here since high school and haven't written a review.. wow, I'm disappointed in myself. This is my legit go to place, to unwind, a date even when I'm sick and I need some delicious tea. Check- been here for open-mic night, tarot card readings or even on a rainy evening.

Prices: Teas run from $2.25 ? I recommend.. vanilla pomegranate, mango ceylon and vanilla almond. The brownie sundae- which is to die for...hot brownie with vanilla bean ice cream and raspberry and chocolate syrup $5.95.

The decor: cozy and unique. I love that they showcase artwork of local talent. I prefer the couches. They even have outdoor/patio seating.

Music: You will hear everything...mainly indie..or whoever's ipod they are playing..some.. minus the bear to radiohead.

I would have loved to give this place 4 or 5 stars, but I cannot because of their customer service. I have been going to the cup for close to 10 years now and the service there has gone down hill.

Today was the worst day of all! My boyfriend and I were waiting for over an hour for a table. The service there was incredibly slow. When people were leaving the table, it took the staff almost 15 minutes to actually clean the table. Then another couple who came well after us was seated before us (they even know it was bad because they told us sorry and shrugged). Then after we were finally seated a table who was seated after us was served before us! We just got so fed up we left.

Oh and I should also add that the sizes of their brownies & blondies have been decreasing every time I have gone there.

Don't go for the service because it's seriously lacking. Unless you happen to get friendly with one of the staff, you pretty much have to wait for everything. Don't go for the food if you're very hungry. They have a small kitchen so dishes take upwards of 20 minutes. DO go for the desserts. They have some of the best desserts and I have yet to try a brownie sundae better than the one here. A nice touch is that they use fresh whipped cream instead of the crap sprayed out of cans.

Service can be a little slow but drinks and food are solid especially the brownie. My wife and I made friends with one of the waiters so we usually get things promptly. Be nice and chat with them and they will favor you.

Only drawback is that this place attracks dumb hippie people who do the same things and dress the same way because they're "unique.' They like to sit around and discuss the nuances of vegetarianism while judging the sheep around them. If you can deal being surrounded with idiots and the occasional bad coffeehouse band then this place is good.

A couple of my musician friends have semi-regular gigs here (Alan Semerdjian and one half of Sparkwood & 21), so every here and there I make the one hour (one way) trek out to The Cup.

I like this place and if I were a local I'd probably go there very often.  The coffees are very good and the desserts are always very tasty.  It gets pretty crowded and while no one is rushing me, I feel uncomfortable just sitting nursing my coffee while people are waiting for tables.

Good tea and coffee drinks. Open mic night is sooo annoying though, a bunch of 12 year olds come in and ruin the experience.

I've enjoyed the desserts and the food. I am a big tea drinker so I appreciate their selection.

However, the staff is so hipster and kind of rude. I've had good and bad experiences and it's really not a place I like to attend to be honest. You probably wont find me there again.

Very laid back, atmosphere is casual and hip. The employees are not afraid to be individuals as opposed to simply people doing their jobs.

Food is sometimes likely mass produced (for example, their cookies) and sometimes likely made in-house (their delicious Tollhouse cookie pie). Overall everything is tasty, a bit on the pricey side but the comfy off-beat ambiance is something I'm willing to pay for.

Wish there were more places like The Cup on Long Island!

So this is where all the normal Long Islanders come huh? :)

I've been meaning to try out The Cup for years and finally made it over with a few friends in my last visit to New York. It's really cute and homey inside, and I was happy we were able to sit on a big comfy couch. The lighting almost makes it feel like there's a fire lit somewhere -- perfect for the snowy night we went! My only problem was that whenever the door opened it was FREEZING! I found myself wishing I had never taken off the snuggie I received for Christmas...

My friends all ordered lattes and I chose the Rooibos coconut chai tea. I was so happy to see Rooibos on the menu and immediately felt nostalgic for South Africa. For anyone who hasn't tried Rooibos tea, try it! My friend and I also split the caramel blondie which came with vanilla ice cream and was awesome. You just don't see blondies on enough menus. Not gonna lie, I almost licked the plate.

Our server was friendly and attentive without being annoying. He happily refilled my cup with more hot water and split our dessert in half to make sure we both got equal parts. Very cute. :)

This place is a nice little whole in the wall joint, its like the bar for the young adolesent hipsters. The food is good and I have enjoyed all the drinks but I have a major complain, the tea isn't always fresh. The staff is helpful and usually on top of things. The seating can be limited due to the popularity of this place.
But I like the feel of this place it reminds me of something in the north west.

OMG THE SERVICE HERE IS HORRIBLE!
Went there a semi-busy after being ignored for about 10 minutes (after putting the menus down), me and my friend Lauren order.... cheese fries to start which took a whooping HALF HOUR to arrive thank god we had given the full order at first (app + tea and cake) the Barista must have had a bad day bc both of the drinks where DISGUSTING! I had the red chai and a slice of cheese cake the only good thing in the whole meal... but it was a rip off the size was SOOO TINNY ! for seven dollars ! I ended up wanting more! on the other hand my friends deep dish toll house cookie was the same price and the size was huge! and she didn't finish it.... Finally after 2 hours of turtle service we asked for the check paying for the meal but NOT for the service ! NEVER AGAIN!

The Cup is my go-to coffee house for when I want to sit around and share stories over coffee and desserts into the late hours. Aside from the Witches Brew, The Cup is the only other coffee house that I am aware of on western Long Island that is open until reasonable late.

The staff is really pleasant and cool. They're great to chat with if you need to ask about the music playing or the art featured, helpful with substitutions, but not overly pushy.

The coffee house itself is small - which can mean really cozy and intimate on an evening where you get there early or if it is a weeknight, or really crowded on one of the busier nights. I've never had to wait for seating, but later on the weekend evenings The Cup gets really full, and for good reason!

The coffee is pretty good, but what stands out to me are the desserts  and especially their frozen lemonade drinks, which are really well priced.

My favorite aspect of The Cup is that the atmosphere is perfect for being close with friends and being able to tell stories and have a good night in peace without screaming children and the type of people who tend to accompany them. It's exactly the kind of place that a young adult crowd would look for in a coffeehouse.

Some people are addicted to gambling... Some people are addicted to hard drugs... I'm addicted to something more socially acceptable, a psychoactive stimulant drug named Caffeine!! Call me crazy, but I NEED my daily tweak of either chocolate, tea or coffee. The cup provides all of the above with the bonus of an indie coffeehouse atmosphere.

You can clearly see in my reviews that I'm obsessed with loose tea. I buy it, I brew it, I make it all the time. The owners of The Cup must share my love. So, i'm grateful that I don't get tea bagged there! The mango ceylon, kiwi pear and the spring cherry are all particularly good. Every few months they add more and more blends. They'll also make it iced or hot to your pleasure. If you go the hot route, ask for a small plate to put your strainer on so it doesn't over brew. The frozen hot chocolate, the smoothies and the flavor mixing Italian sodas are all fun for your taste buds. Try this combination on for size: Irish creme and orange syrup in an Italian soda. We call it the McCain. (No, I'm not a republican).

They have also plenty of healthy and vegetarian friendly finger picking food too. I'm a fan of the eggplant marinara and the cranberry chicken. Great snack for two. If you decide to go the fat kid route, don't skip out on the pies or ANYTHING al la mode.

Like the customer's preference for teas here, the service runs hot and cold. I've been both blatantly ignored and patiently waited on. They also don't open till mid afternoon, so don't expect to grab lunch here. The Cup is strictly for night owls. In the summer, they open up the outdoor seating. I'd recommend it, unless it's still over 83 degrees at 9pm.

Coffee houses like the cup provide a friendly alternative to the weekend bar scene. Cuz bro, some nights... you just don't feel like fist pumping and do jagerbombs with your LI broskis. Sometimes, you just want to sit down and relax.

Big fan of The Cup. Cute little coffee house, right at the train station, if you're looking for the perfect hot or cold coffee drink, snack or dessert. Outdoor seating area (available in the summer) could use some work, cosmetically, but atmosphere inside is very cozy and inviting. Laid back and casual. Staff is very friendly. Live music on the weekends. Parking can sometimes be difficult and seating is limited, but definitely worth the hassle and the wait. It's no Central Perk (you won't see Ross and Rachel lurking around) but it's definitely an awesome coffee house!

Picture what you think a coffeehouse should look like in your head: that's the Cup.

The wait staff at the Cup is attentive, but doesn't jump down your throat.  They don't care if you order a cup of coffee or dinner, something to drink, and dessert; they let you sit and hang out and converse no matter how much money you spend.  Everything on the menu is tasty, and I should know; I've tasted most of what they offer (I've been going there for about eight years-geez, has it been that long?).  Definitely try their Smushed Pie in a Mug (I like the smushed Tollhouse Pie, but it's your call); also, their Caramel Blondie a la Mode is wonderful.  If it's coffee drinks you're into, I'd say try the Third Rail, which has a terrific jolt of caffeine.  For something more savory, their eggplant dish is delicious, and their melted cheese fries are aaamazing! (although they take a long time to make, so be prepared to wait).

If you go on the weekends, it gets crowded, and they also feature local  musicians, meaning it can get loud; request the back room if you're not into the music scene.  They do charge an extra $1 on music nights, and they're not super credit card friendly (I think it's a $15 minimum), so keep that in mind.  But I unhesitatingly recommend the Cup; it's good food and good vibes.

A great little local coffeehouse that's been here forever (I've been coming here since high school).  My best friend from childhood introduced me to this place, and I've been coming here ever since.

The selection of coffee, tea, smoothies, lattes and milkshakes is superb.  They have a full page of the menu devoted to just drinks!  Additionally, they've got a great selection of different desserts (Rainbow Cookie Cake anyone?!) that are homemade.  The owner supplies a lot of other restaurants on Long Island with the desserts that he makes.  They also have a regular menu with appetizers, soups and salads.

I have ordered a salad here once, and it was good, but I normally just stick to the desserts and drinks.  On the weekends, they sometimes have live music as well.

Sometimes the service is a bit slow, and it does depend on what server you get.  I don't recommend coming here if you're looking for a quick bite to eat and something to drink fast.  This is a place to relax.

    Coffee / Deserts / entertainment.

This is a great little place to kick back, have a cuppa something along with a little nosh and enjoy either the music or the people watching.

The place is small but cozy and everyone is friendly and helpful.  The coffees are good as are the deserts- I didn't try the other foods available such as sandwiches but from what I saw those other items looked good enough.

The place is what you would expect- art for sale on the walls, an eclectic collection of stuff adorning the nooks and crannies around the place - some couches, a few pillows tossed about here and there and some really good tunes playing when the live entertainment is not.

Parking sucks overall- mostly due to it's location to the giant bar down the street - use the train station lots at night.

This is definitely THE PLACE to get your caffeine kick in addition to getting your live entertainment.

I started going to The Cup back in high school and have never stopped loving this place. Whenever I go back to NY I always make a venture out to Wantagh just to be there.

This place is a great local hangout for everyone. You have just about every kind of genre of people in this place. I don't believe I've ever seen a laptop in this place. If you're looking for a place to work, this is not it. This is not your cafe/coffeeshop with wifi.

When you're here, you're here for the atmosphere of meeting new people. Watching live music, poetry readings, conversing with friends old and new, playing board games, get a palm reading, but you are most certainly not surfing the web here. Go home and do that!

They have a pretty extensive menu here and it is all very tasty. Try the turkey melt, yum! They also have some vegan friendly dishes and if you ask the server about vegan desserts, they are available!

If you don't like coffee or espresso,  at least go for their (infused) teas, chai lattes, smoothies, and frozen drinks.

Man, I came on  weekday there was an open Mic. Kinda really terrible. singer songwriter with acoustic guitars and their self importatnce. Ya know what would make this night good? a bag of fruit for the audience or my friends and I. Maybe some Chuck Barris action or the dude from the Apollo with the big hook.

The good thing about the terrible acts that night  was the bonding we got with some of the Cup's employees. There is plenty of good about this place the desserts, The laid back cozy atmosphere. The Teas, The Coffees, it's a classic.

The place could be bigger, parking could be less annoying and if there was more Coffee House competition this might not rate as high; It is what it is. overall a L.I. destination for Coffee House enthusiast.

Coffee houses I think are the coolest places to just hang out and just relax and this place is definitely one of those places.

The menu has tons of hot drink assortments between teas, coffees and hot chocolates. Small panini and appetizer menu. Large size desert menu.

Just a tip it can get very busy here especially on the weekdays as there is a "special" night almost every night so get here early if you plan on hanging out here.

Forget STARBUCKS...support a local business that's been around and is just as awesome (and offers more!).

The Cup is a coffeehouse, however when I hear the Cup, I immediately think about their great deserts and how they will only leave you drooling for more.

My personal favorite is the "Peek-a-boo." One can call it a warm chocolate brownie with chocolate sauce drizzled over it (also served with whipped cream on the side), or one can just call it an orgasm in your mouth because it will be one of the best chocolate deserts you will ever taste in your life. The size is unfortunately very small  (not recommended to share for 2 people), but it's definitely worth it.

While serving a wide array of extravagant deserts they also serve light foods, specialty cold/chilled/hot drinks, as well as coffee and tea.

The Cup attracts mostly young people and is a great place to come hang out for a while with some friends while listening to live music on Fri/Sat nights, and listening to some open-mic performances on Wed nights.

Why I never wrote a review for this place earlier I have no idea. I've been coming here for what...5 years? The desserts and teas rarely disappoint. They have coffees, teas, cookies, brownies, ice cream, smoothies, milkshakes, and other desserts of that sort. Mmmmm...their cookie pie is amazing. Dinner and snacks are available too. It's a great place to chill and listen to local long island talent sing, whine, and occasionally rock out over an acoustic guitar. And various other instruments. My ex used to play here semi-regularly, and a mutual friend of ours played a show here one night with his band Bittermint and had the place hoppin'. I have it all recorded on cds, good times.

On friday and saturday nights this place tends to get packed like a sardine can, so you may find yourself waiting for 40 minutes for a table because certain people like to sit here and bullshit for 2-3 hours (I am guilty of that myself, hehe).

We used to come to this place quite often in high school and I hadn't been back here in a few years. Over the winter holidays, I re-visited this place with some friends, and it was as good as I remember.

Not your ordinary independent coffee shop, The Cup offers visitors a relaxed and comfortable space to socialize with friends, listen to great live music, play board games, and enjoy a yummy selection of drinks, desserts and sandwiches. While this sounds like standard coffee shop stuff, the Cup has a character all its own, one that is very welcoming and friendly. That has a lot to do with the regulars who frequent the place and the affable employees.

Since leaving LI, I haven't found a coffee shop as comfortable as the Cup. I definitely miss its charm and character.

For years, this was one of my favorite places to go for coffee and an accompanying dessert or sandwich. If I still lived in the area, I suspect I would continue to be a regular here; the live music, coupled with the cozy, inviting atmosphere, fair prices, excellent coffee, and wonderful waitstaff, make The Cup a real neighborhood gem. It's a welcoming environment that, in it's own small way, understands the principles of community.

Sitting outside, or in the little, private back room, was always a delight. I miss having this place more or less around the corner. from me I also love any establishment that offers free board games (especially nerdy ones, like Scrabble) for its patrons to enjoy while sipping their beverage of choice. I hope that's still the case, as it's been a while.

I am delighted, but not surprised, to see that The Cup has added a wealth of vegan options to their menu--especially soy cheeses and dessert items. That's a rarity, not only on Long Island, but in cities like Boston as well. This Cup is just awesome, and I'm so glad that the only way it has changed in its many years is for the better.

    I Love The Cup!
Been coming here for years, and it consistently remains awesome. Went again Friday night at 10pm--there were live acoustic acts, it was packed and yet we got a table right away (as usual). You can get almost anything to eat; salads, flatbread sandwiches, pizza, tea, coffee, frozen drinks, and oh-so-yummy desserts. The Chocolate Chip Fudgy Brownie ala mode is my favorite!

The crowd is usually anywhere between 18-40ish (my guess) it's a varied crowd but always a cool crowd at that. We were surrounded by a couple playing cards, two girls chatting it up in some language I couldn't figure out (?), a group of high school kids, and I was there with my friend who is expecting in 4 months......so it's definitely a spot for everyone. I wish there were more places like this on Long Island.

I am definitely a fan of this place. It was my first time in there and I immediately liked it. Good music, and comfy couches. I had a feeling I was lucky to get in there when I had my choice of seating because within 10 minutes 4 other groups came. I had some excellent pumpkin coffee and and a delicious apple crumb cake with a few scoops of ice cream. Not expensive by any means. very affordable and much better coffee than a dunkin or starbuck$. Cool place to go after a date or just to meet up and get some classwork done. Very relaxing. i will definitely go again.

I've been here a couple times.  It was cool, not the best though.  I tried their Tiramisu on my first visit.  It was incredibly rich and I felt kind of sick the next day, but it did taste good.  The second time I came I got Smooshed-Pie-In-A-Mug.  I wouldn't have ordered it if I knew that it would be cold and there wouldn't be very much pie for the price.

I don't know, I just prefer the Witches Brew, I suppose.  Although, the Cup does have outdoor seating, which was really nice over the summer.

We need more good indie cafes on the Island -- this is a good model to copy. It's a small cafe with some intimate and bohemian seating arrangements - fine for a first date, though. The dessert menu is good and the loose tea selection is great. (I recommend the Spring Cherry green tea - and they've got no problem if you ask for more hot water for a second glass.) I've definitely sat here for four hours doing work on my laptop on multiple occasions.

There's live music on weekends (and open mic on Wednesdays) and more than anywhere else the talent can run hot and cold... from the pretty good (http://www.myspace.com... -- the guy we listened to last night) to the creepy (the dude who looks like Walter from The Big Lebowski that did a heavy-breathing rendition of "When The Teddy Bears Have Their Picnic") to the conversation stoppingly-bizarre (two kids playing industrial noise that took smoke breaks *during* their two hour, one song set). Expect indie rock greatest hits all other times.

One of the few downsides is that on weekends it might tough to get a table -- I haven't been here in the summer, and word on the street is there's outdoor seating that might alleviate some of that. Parking is also kind of touchy sometimes, since you'll need to park in one of the few public spots at the Wantagh train station (the Cup is right underneath), but a lot of those spots can be taken up by patrons at the bars next door.

Coffee, check. Good food, check. Live art and music, check. Waiters/workers that know how to talk to people...check?

I went on a Wednesday night (open mic night) to see a friend perform 3 songs. So after parking at the train station, me and my girl went to see my friend. We walked right into this crowded coffee shop, with about 50 other teenagers all there to watch their friends perform. There was no room to sit, so we leaned up against the bar. Seeing that a couch opened up right next to the stage, we eagerly took it. A waiter came up to us and asked what we wanted, I said nothing, and he said "Oh, you're not ready? I'll be back in a few minutes." Confused at this, we watched my friend perform. The waiter returned again asking us what we wanted. I again said nothing, and he demanded $3 from each of us to sit there.

Now $3 is not a lot to ask for, but there should be some sign or something. I'm here thinking it's free and I have no cash on me. I looked it up online, there's no information there. I told the guy we were not paying anything to watch him play, and he then told us to leave. I then said we'd go after he finished, and he then very rudely told us to get out now.

We left, and returned about a minute later to talk to an owner or manager of how rudely we were treated. Of course, there was no owner, only his daughter, another teenager with just as little respect for "potential" customers like ourselves. She explained there's a $2 sitting fee, and everyone needs to pay $1 on music nights.

Anyway, moral of the story, they have good everything but people. I will not be going be to this place very often.

PS: girl i spoke to, i don't care your daddy's place was open for 15 years, I've never even heard of it before last week. Treat your "potential" customers with a little more respect.

I stopped in on a Saturday night with a friend.  Didn't know this place existed, was just passing by.  If I'd have known there would be live music and we'd be charged $2 per person to sit there for 45 minutes and strain to hear each other over a loud and sloppy folk singer before they closed (1am), we would have skipped it.  I was initially impressed by the loose tea selection, but their tea ball was old and much of my loose red chai tea ended up all over my cup.  My friend enjoyed his frozen sugary coffee drink well enough, but said it was a little overpriced.  I've been to the Witches Brew and liked the coffee/tea, but not the little kiddies that crowd the place.  I thought The Cup might be a more grown-up option, but overall I was underwhelmed.

I went here the other night for the first time, and it was wonderful. Not only was the tea excellent, everyone who worked there was incredibly nice. Plus, there was great music, fun art on the wall, and the atmosphere could not be beat. It's exactly what a coffee house should be - casual, funky, and full of heart.

The Cup is a pretty cute place to hang out. I haven't been there a ton of times, but I've gone a few times after a movie/show/whatever, when you have some time to kill and wanna just hang out. Their stuff is quite good, particularly their deserts (YUM) but it is a little pricey for relatively small portions. Some of their stuff is also way too sweet or rich. The setting though is pretty sweet, and sometimes they have open mics (at least they did the last time I was there) and it's just a nice little place to hang out. Don't expect to share the portions though. Also the service is a little slow, so I'd recommend going when you aren't on limited time!

I've been to this place a few times, but I was never all that impressed. I definitely prefer Witches Brew over The Cup for my alternative coffee shop experience (although I don't mind Dunkin D or Starbucks)... I've sat in the porch area outside, on plastic lawn chairs - and I've sat inside on the random chairs. I usually get coffee and some sort of cheesecake - and it's never bad. They have board games, too, but none that I've ever played. Basically, this place is a cute change from the string of Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts that line Long Island's highways and roads.

First of all, any place where you can get your dessert "smushed-in-a-mug" and topped with ice cream is a place I'd like to frequent!

That said, I had the apple crumble pie (smushed in a mug of course) and it was delicious! My boyfy had the peanut butter chunk pie (no smushing for him though) and his was also very yummy.

This was my first time visiting The Cup and I thought it was a pretty cute little place. The front room is like the living room of an old house. Worn-in but cozy. A lot of young late-teens/early-twenties hanging out, sipping hot drinks, playing boardgames (yeah! pretty awesome huh?) so the front area was pretty crowded. I can't imagine what the hell this place is like when they have live music. Eeek!
We were led to the back room which is a litle bit on the cold side because it seemed we were sitting on the outdoor patio with temporary walls up for the winter (the astro-turf flooring and patio table/chairs confirmed) and its late November in New York. Brrr!
The only downside was my water tasted...umm...like bad tap water. I dunno what the water quality is like in Wantagh tho so maybe that's normal. My boyfy's coke tasted too syrupy, nothing a quick adjustment to the fountain can't fix.
Either way, we were very pleased with the service as there seemed to be one gentleman doing all the work. He was calmly running around that place seating people, taking orders, delivering food/drinks, behind the bar, etc. He was probably the one smushing my pie into a mug as well! He did a fantastic job and we had a good time so four stars to The Cup!

Oh and P.S. be careful when parking! If u park in the lot right next-door (which belongs to some asshole restaurant) they will tow ur car! Park on the street if u can!

Not the most phenomenal tea/coffee joint i've been to, but definitely fun and i do recommend it. usually not a lot of room to sit, staff not so attentive, it's a bitch to park around the train station, if you go on a weekend you have to deal with the mulcahys crowd... but a fun place nonetheless. especially when they have live music and what not. do try their rainbow cookie cake, it is QUITE delish.

The Cup is the best coffee house on Long Island.  My friends and I have tried most of them, and we are always happy here.  Their coffees, lattes and desserts are always delicious.  (I've never tried the food.)  The atmosphere of the coffeehouse is emo-ish, but the staff is always friendly and helpful, and you can almost always get a seat without having to wait.  The only problem I have with The Cup is that the front room is way too loud on nights when they have live music.  We usually request to sit in the back on those days.  My favorites here are the blondie with ice cream, vegan brownie with ice cream and the chai latte.  My friends always order different things, and they're never disappointed.  Definitely try this place if you're in the area.  It's right underneath the Wantagh LIRR station.

This is a great coffee house.  It's a place where you can get your choice of many different hot and cold drinks, desserts, and they even have a few food items.  The best part of this place is that you can hang out for an hour or two with friends chatting and they have no problem with it.  They often have open mic night .  Quite often, there is a wait to get in, especially on a Friday or Saturday night.  They have card games and board games available.  Great, comfortable atmosphere.
