The Crumpet Shop was the first eatery we ventured at the Pike Place Market to stimulate our appetites. EXCELLENT CHOICE.
I've never had crumpets before, and these were EXCELLENT. They are sooooooo comforting!
Crumpets are like...the child of a biscuit, english muffin, and doughnut...(I'd imagine only a threesome could pop out something THIS orgasmic!). We ordered 3 to share amongst the 4 of us (appetizers to kick off our food-tasting extravaganza here), which all ranged between $3-$4.
Here's my input in order of preference:
1) Maple butter cream cheese + walnuts: Loved loved loveddddddd the contrasting flavors between the sweet maple flavor + the buttery, salty goodness of the crumpet, topped with toasty crunchy walnut pieces. Ahh...so goooood.
2) Salmon cream cheese + cucumbers: Savory, creamy, salmony, delicious! Cucumbers = refreshing!
3) Nutella: Sweet, creamy, and yummy as expected, but not as special as the above.
As for the crumpet itself...thick, soft, delicate, buttery, warm, mmm!
There are also a whole lot of other choices just waiting to be eaten, and you can see the kitchen from one part of the dining area. Really cool to see them make the crumpets nice and fresh right there!
All in all...this has got to be my fav. place we've snacked at in Seattle so far!
Thanks, Crumpet Shop, for being my first =D.
I want to go to there.......
Yes the crumpet shop in the market was such a wonderful surprise. Rob was so nice and personable. I ordered the crumpet that had cream cheese, maple butter and topped with walnuts!!! It was so good I bought a 6pack to take home.
Crumpets are so versatile. You can topped them with just about anything. I topped one
This is a local favorite. They have the best turkey sandwich in Seattle. But only on selected days, it is not consistent. but worth the trip. Go NOW!!!
I officially lost my crumpet virginity on this last trip to Seattle. No guilt, no remorse. Just a delightful warm treat in my mouth.
I had one topped with a pesto-egg scramble, another with Nutella. my companion had a berry topped crumpet. It was much too hard to choose a favorite so I just devoured everything in front of me. Also delicous? The chai. Try it. You'll be happy.
The staff was fantastic. They were having a fun time making crumpets, and it was infectious to the crowd. The mustache on the man at the register warranted five stars all on its own.
My only complaint is about the shop itself. There isn't much sitting room, so you'd best get your crumpets to go.

I visited this shop twice. I can honestly say that the staff is warm and friendly, the food is fresh, and the tea selection is great!
The first thing I craved when the plane landed was a crumpet!
My first experience there, I sat in awe while staring through the glass as they made the crumpets. I had the smoked salmon crumpet with cream cheese....I'm drooling as I'm reminiscing on the creamy texture, and smokiness of the salmon and how it all balances out with the fluffy crumpet :)
second visit I ordered the egg, ham, and cream cheese crumpet. The ham was sliced thinly, egg was perfect, and the cream cheese just melted in between.
It was perfect for a crisp seattle morning :)
This was another shop we had to check out while visiting Seattle recently. Honestly, I had no idea what crumpets were, so when we saw the sign, we had to go in and checked it out. Here in Orange County, we have a lot of Cupcake shops, but I don't believe we have a crumpet shop, or if it does, I have never heard of it.
The first time we stopped by, they were closing, but the lady was nice enough to explain to us what crumpets were. They also had a huge selections of tea. We swore we'd be back to try crumpets.
So, we came back a couple days later, but we got there too late. They were sold out :( So, the next day, we were there early.
The shop itself is pretty small, but it's very comfortable. Everyone is very friendly and looks generally happy to be part of the Crumpet Shop family. They took the time to help us figure out what we wanted.
The Mr. had the regular crumpet with butter (I think?) with chai tea and soup of the day. I had mine with Nutella. Again, neither of us ever had crumpets before, so we didn't know what to expect. We gulped those down in less than 5 minutes. I'm not a big tea drinker (with exception of Boba milk tea if you can count that as tea), but I really liked the chai tea.
We will definetely stop by again if we are ever in Seattle.
One of the things I miss about working downtown is the Crumpet Shop. It's small quaint and servers up some of the best food in the market. It's not fancy, just simple honest comfort food and some home made fresh bread.
But what really seals the deal for me are the people. No matter how longs it's been they still remember me and make me fell at home. Now that's a place to patronize.
Crumpet and Tea anyone? My very first crumpet was in this cute little shop. LOVED this place. We came here for breakfast and an afternoon snack during our visit to Seattle. Its centrally located right next to Pike Place Market. There is a clear window so you may see how they are made. Seems to have simple ingredients, but man do they come out perfect!!!
So I heard the secret to a good crumpet is to toast them twice. Crispy on the outside, warm and moist on the inside. Deeeeelish!
We had the nutella one, butter with rasberry jam, one with ricotta, honey and almonds on top and even tried one with an egg on top. Nooo I didnt have them all myself :) They also have fresh juices and lots of different types of topics and sandwhiches for lunch. Also, all you can drink tea!!!
Basically this place has some very sweet and cute staff who work very fast with a constant smile on their faces.
We bought 3-4 packages to take home with us to LA. A pack of 6 was $3.50 and one crumpet with a topinng is between $1.50 and $3 at the most.
Love this crumpet shop!

When you're in Seattle, you have to drink coffee. Unfortunately, this former coffee addict was in for a ride. One hour after arriving, I broke. Where ever that offered java, I went in. After walking by this shop a couple of times, I decided that I needed to give it a try. It didn't help that the word crumpet just plagued me for those days too. I know, susceptible advertising.
The chai soy latte is awesome. Organic? There's a difference? Well, theirs you can definitely taste it. I got it lightly sweetened and the aroma was so delightful.
As for crumpets, I was so flustered. The long list of crumpet toppings blurred my vision. I was all set with my ordering, but then I go down the list and see something else that I want too. AHHH!!! I settled with the honey and butter crumpet. Mmm. It was nicely warmed/toasted (i like mine really toasted), smeared with butter and drizzled with a good helping of honey. Next time I am so going for the almond butter. I go nuts for anything almond.
They have this cool morning happy hour special. Just need to get my arse up and reap the benefits of it. Oh well, still willing to pay regular price for it. The staff are all super friendly. I like! I envy all of you who have easy access to this place...
Holla holla! My good friend Susan H. just visited the shop this past weekend and brought crumpets back for me. She boasted that these were fantastic and that they reminded her of the ones she had as a youth. We both live in Los Angeles, so when she offered to bring me some back on her latest trip to Seattle, I was lets say.... curious with an inch of skepticism. When she handed me the handsome bag and I saw the neatly packed crumpets neatly aligned in the bag, I was impressed by their uniform shape and size. I brought them home and rested them on our counter while I had dinner with my family. I shared the story that Susan shared with me and they all were hungry for an after-dinner treat.
I toasted the gentle morsels in the toaster oven and my wife brought out butter, cream cheese, strawberry jam and honey so we could pick our own toppings. I texted my stepdaughter to come home from her apartment to try and she showed up about an hour after we started. I think she was teased.
So how were they??? Delicious! The texture is spot on and they are great. I don't think I would like them cold since the browning adds that crisp that I love. Oh... and don't forget to pair these with a good tea of coffee. I'm not one to 'afternoon tea' so coffee was it for me.
The next time you or a visitor is in Seattle please bring these back home to share. They'll be gone in a second.

I guess I'll be the one person to give this a less-than-positive review.
If you can go here when it's not busy or when it's really early in the morning? 4 or 5 stars, sure. Delicious crumpets, attentive staff, fast service.
When it's busy, though, which it often is, prepare for a mass of Suck. People will cut in line when you're in the middle of ordering and instead of stopping them, the staff will just take their order first instead and you'll have to wait even longer. I know you can't really blame the shop for the customers, but the other people coming here are pretty terrible, pushy, and impolite.
In addition, because it's busy and the staff is in such a hurry, the staff is constantly tossing around orders--I felt like it was a game of telephone because three people switched spots at the counter and took my order again and again before one person finally finished taking my order at the counter, and then they got it wrong when actually passing it off to the people getting my drinks and food. It's probably not a big deal to most people, but I'm super lactose intolerant, so when I ask for non-dairy milk in my drink or my oats/groats and you just forget it and pour in regular milk, it really sucks for me and isn't very fair to me as a customer.
In addition, one of the staff kept saying "hey miss" to get my attention when I'm obviously a man in my mid-20's. I was pretty pissed off about that and couldn't do more than kind of gape at him incredulously.
It's a nice place to go when it's not busy, but I'd prefer to go to somewhere I can get nice service and the correct order at any time, not just the "right" time.
If you r a tea drinker this place is haven 1.95 endless cup of tea and not crap tea but good tea and don't forget the crumpets they are the best. I love there maple butter
Outstanding crumpets, with a huge menu including breakfast toppings, there's something for everyone's taste. A family-owned venture, they offer everything you could want in the hot drink department including tea, chai, espresso, coffee, etc. The lattes are very good. The seating a little limited for groups, but solos can grab a barstool at the counter and watch people get buzzed over at the Pike Place Barber.
I ding them a little for a slightly confusing setup (Where does the line start? To whom do I give my order?) and cramped seating, but the overall experience is very charming and worth a visit.
My bf and I came here b/c all the yelpers said it was so good, and since we're only in Seattle for the weekend, hey, you can't waste stomach space on bad food, right?
We got here yesterday around 4:30 PM, which is 30 mins after they shut off the espresso machine and stop cooking. But the guy (owner or his son? not sure) said that we could still order some teas and crumpets.
I got the crumpet with nutella and ricotta, which wasn't too sweet, just perfect. I thought it'd be weird to have cheese with chocolate, but the ricotta has such a light, subtle flavor that it balanced the nutella quite nicely. My bf got the crumpet with honey, which he liked a lot, though I thought it was too sweet. (I'm not a fan of straight-on honey, but in teas and stuff.)
We were sent her by a member of our family and so glad we made it a point to put this on our agenda when we visited Seattle. I honestly did not know what a crumpet was (pretty close to an English Muffin) but there are really not enough words to describe how amazing they were. We got one with Nutella and one with cream cheese egg and ham and both were out of this world. The prices were very reasonable and a great place for everybody in my (picky) family to find something that they would enjoy.
We went around 10:30 am on a Sunday in October and it was not busy at all. May be the reason why I gave it 5 stars but there is not a doubt in my mind that we will go back again on our next visit to Seattle.
When I was up in Seattle, I knew I had to visit Pike Place because a lot of the really cool restaurants and cafes are located there. One in particular, The Crumpet Shop, caught my eye. I mean, c'mon, the word "crumpet" just sounds so delightful and slightly snooty doesn't it? I had to try it out!
It's a tiny little shop with enough room to seat 20 people or so. The workers there are really friendly, have great personalities, and will patiently wait for you to make up your darn mind about what you want. I am a big fan of savory food so I ordered exclusively from the savory menu as opposed to the sweet menu. They also have a selection of soup and tea, but I focused primarily on the crumpet menu. What I like about this place is that they make their crumpets fresh (you can even watch them) so you know you are getting some good stuff.
The crumpets may look tiny, but if you try to finish 2 of them like I did, you will be surprised at how hard it is. I was really full off my green eggs and ham crumpet, but really tried hard to finish the ham, pesto, and ricotta cheese crumpet. My partner in crime ordered the English cheese, tomato, and pesto crumpet as well as the ham, cheese, and tomato crumpet. We were quite satisfied with ourselves when everything was gone, and were even more satisfied that the entire meal cost around $13! Delicious and cheap!! 4 Stars!

Yummy crumpets. The Liza Minelli (nutella and fresh jam) was so good I went back twice. Chai tea was incredible. They don't always nail the order but it's awesome anyway.
mmm crumpets. I will never eat one again without thinking about Seattle.
I had a ham and egg one the first day. It was delicious and hot hot hot! It could have used some strong cheese. But I wont complain too much. I had one with peanut butter and honey the next day. I'm not a big fan of organic honey (which they used), because of its texture, but it was DELICIOUS!
The wait was a bit ridiculous, but they do get those babies out fast.
The seating is a little limited, and when my bf asked for peanut butter and blackberry and was given raspberry instead the woman was BEYOND rude because she had to fix it.
Great service, friendly staff.
I think perhaps the food might be *just a tad* bit overrated, but admittedly, I've only been there once (so far!) so there may be other goodies on the menu I haven't tried yet. Either way, it's a nice place to stop and take a time-out from the hustle and bustle of the Pike Place Market and get a quick bite to eat before heading into the crowds!
These crumpets are definitely better and fresher than anything I'd ever been able to buy at home in Northern Nevada (in Reno, we can get them at Trader Joes or Cost Plus World Market, etc., but they're definitely not as fresh as The Crumpet Shop's).
I had a crumpet with ham, egg and cream cheese. I'd give it a 3.5 to 4 out of 5 stars (me and my half-star ratings ;P) -- only because I believe the egg was microwaved. I don't mind microwaved eggs at all (I nuke eggs often myself [although my fiance thinks this is disgusting LOL]), but to be honest, I think the place would impress more people if they cooked the eggs to order on a griddle. IF they even HAVE a griddle. (I suspect maybe they are not considered a "full" restaurant because they don't seem to have any open flames or griddles to cook, so if this is the case, then I understand the microwave cooking!)
Next time I will try the -- what was it -- Vermont crumpet? It had maple butter, cream cheese and pecans. Yum!! I also really wanted to just try something simple, like one with just butter and honey, but my stomach demanded something with more substance and protein, so ham 'n eggs was the winner.
I also had a latte (should've had tea) which was so-so -- and that's only because I don't usually care much for lattes (wanted a mocha, but they were out of cocoa).
This place does seem to sell out quickly, and I believe they shut the shop down as soon as they are out of supplies.
All in all, I enjoyed the place and will be going back for more next time!
What's a crumpet? I liken it to Thomas' English Muffin that isn't as crispy, instead it still has a bunch of holes in it, and is light, fresh and fluffy.
This place puts whatever you want on top of it. I had cream cheese and gooseberry jam. Oh, it was magical. I still crave it and it's been a month since I was there. This was really good food at reasonable prices.
Crumpet Shop - I miss you!

Mmmmmm. My fiancé, friend, and I declared this past Sunday "Pike Place" day, so we started off the day by trying to find a breakfast bite.
My friend's idea of heading to The Crumpet Shop was genius! Why? Because we'd get a taste of breakfast without being too full to keep eating our way through the market.
I ordered an egg and English (cheese) crumpet -- definitely falls in the "savory" category. The staff was friendly, and it turned out just the way I would have wanted it. My friend was shocked to see an open table -- gotta say that it wasn't open for long, since we called dibs to anyone eyeing it. Score!
I also got a cup of coffee, which was from Caffe Appassionato. Also just as good as I remember it.
So, I'd definitely return next time I'm in Seattle, especially if I'm looking for a way to have breakfast and still be able to wander through the market and sample as much as I can sample.

So there are 2 entrances to get into the store. Either off of First street or up the stairs from Pike Street.
This is a different place for breakfast since not many places I know make crumpets fresh. But they put a different sin on it.
During our own "Taste of Seattle," we made sure to drop by here during our visit.
I had a crumpet with salmon, cream cheese, egg. This was delicious. The cream cheese spread was mixed with the salmon which was then spread over the crumpet with the egg on top. Simple as it may sound, it was...unexplainable. M y girlfiend got the crumpet with the almonds and honey...and I think there was something else...Havarti cheese? Or was it the same cheese you use for tiramisu..mascapone.
Here's was delicious as well. I just wish my stomach was larger so I can try more.
They also offer alarger variety of crumpets and coffee. Make sure you stop by here for a quick brunch snack. You can even sit by the window in the Front area and wacth as they maek the crumpets.
Show me the crumpet love! So, I just returned from my third trip to Seattle since my first Crumpet Shop post a year ago. I dare not set foot on the return flight home without memories of a daily visit and plenty of crumpet love to spread throughout Los Angeles.
As I learn more about my beloved Crumpet Shop and its able bodied crumpet ambassadors, I feel one step closer to the need for a crumpet 12 step program. I am thoroughly convinced that David, baker of the mighty crumpet, has a secret ingredient he uses liberally in every batch; L-O-V-E. It is rare to find someone that takes such care and pride in their job.
On this most recent trip I was introduced to Carol and Sage, fun loving thespians that make the whole experience more whimsical and enticing. Sage makes perfect coffee drinks and Carol keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes. Don't overlook her; if you engage her, you are in for a fun ride! Rob was at the wheel of the U.S.S. Crumpet as usual, engaging everyone with his warmth and unique brand of attention. He makes everyone feel like the center of the universe. Although I didn't have the chance to interact with Stephanie, her fellow ambassadors have so much love for her, I feel the need to give her a shout out. I look forward to meeting her on my next visit (which is already booked for October)...
As custom dictates, I brought home crumpets for friends and family. My good friend Jonathan F. was so inspired by his first encounter; he was compelled to Yelp about it. Rob introduced me to a new delight; a scone the size of a human head. I brought it to the office yesterday and it lasted less than 5 minutes. Amazingly moist and delicious; judging from appearance I expected it to be sweet. Wrong! It was biscuit like and so delicious. We ate it like barbarians, cold and as fast as possible. With a little heat and some warm butter we would have a "When Harry Met Sally" diner scene on our hands! Go forth and spread crumpet love throughout the land!

So, I don't like tea (I'm a man - I drink coffee) and I've never had a "crumpet" (I'm straight). My friends dragged me in here. I was amazed.
It's a cutesy little tea/biscut shop with many cheap eats you can choose from.
We all got crumpets. Mine was warm with honey.
I thought it was just gonna be lame - but it was DIV-INE. Did I just say "divine"? I swear I am straight!
But it was surprisingly good. I don't like crumpets cause they got them little holes staring back at you and that kind of skeeves me out. But this place was awesome. If you're in the area and feel like a light, cheap meal - go here.
W-O-W. These are the best damn crumpets I've ever had, and the nooks and crannies in these babies put English Muffins into shame.
My friends and I came back here TWICE during our visit because....we just wanted more. The owner's son works there, and he and the whole staff are super friendly and chill. There's a dude on display in the front rolling fresh dough and baking crumpets. Props to him. I see a Bobby Flay throwdown in the works!!!
We tried the following:
- Blackberry/Ricotta - super good. the tart complements the ricotta creaminess
- Strawberry Preserves Ricotta - good, but the preserves too sweet
- Orange Marmalade + Ricotta - good, but preserves too sweet
- Ham & Eggs - excellent, fluffy egg
- Pesto Blended Eggs + Smoked Salmon - soooo yum!!!!!
- Honey Almond Maple - good. my friend got it twice!
- Nutella + Ricotta - good, surprisingly not too sweet
Their iced chai lattes are great, as are their regular lattes. You get unlimited free refills of coffee/tea afterwards. The crumpets are slathered with butter (laced w/ crack??) so probably not the healthiest, but what the hell. I want my own personal crumpet chef now....

Love love love!!! Amazing selection of crumpets, friendly service, delicious selection of teas. Wish they had this type of cafe in California...
Everything was perfect, I had the nutella crumpet (just ok) and the almond/ricotta cheese/honey crumpet (AMAZING!!!), with some green tea loose leaf. Delicious!
Their normal tea with the free refills kind of sucks. It sits lukewarm on the counter where it stews and comes out far too strong to be good. Definitely not a fan.
However, the warm crumpets with honey and scones with jam are both excellent. I am in love with all fresh baked carbs, and these were no exception.
Next time I come, I'll pay an extra $0.50 for fresh-brewed tea with no refills.

Four stars for the crumpets themselves, none for the location and the staff, minus one for the other patrons.
I know it's a tourist hot-spot, but there's no excuse for people pushing, shoving, jumping the line. One person even literally pushed my husband out of the way as he was starting to order to place his large group's order instead. The cashier made no attempt to say "I'm sorry, this man was already ordering" or anything else - she just took the pushy man's large order first.
The seating is very limited. Very, very limited. We were in at 10:00 in the morning and they were already out of a number of the jam selections - strawberry was what they had left.
Given all of that, the crumpets are tasty and I would return to get another - just hopefully when there were fewer people.

All I have to say is OMG!! this is a Mom and Pop place ... in fact when I lived there the son even worked the counter - he's a looker folks! :)
I went here so much that they knew my order when i walked up to the counter ... Pesto, Tomato, Parm! If you're lucky enough you'll arrive before the scones have run out ... i don't care if you're on a diet and don't have room just order it! it's so amazing!
I don't know how they make these fantastic crumpets... but they are like crack! I met up with my date here and we had some tea, and I took a six pack of crumpets home. So tonight, I put a crumpet in the toaster put some thin slices of cheese and salami on it, topped with some roasted veggies... and OH HOLY MOTHER of PEARL. That's some good eating.
Now it's nearly 10:15 PM, and I toasted another. This time I am having some tea, and put a little butter and strawberry jam. PERFECTION again! I am going to have to make the Crumpet Shop a stop every time I go to the market. I can't wait to toast my next crumpet and let out a moan of ecstasy.

Besides how amazing the crumpets are, this place has really delicious, healthy soups and sandwiches. I had a red lentil/ginger/tomato one yesterday that was outrageously good.
And the tea is fabulous, too. Earl grey with some soy milk. Do it.
Priced decently, too. $5 for a filling and yummy lunch.
Don't think about it -- just go. CRUMPETS.
This simple little bread made one of the best breakfast I have ever had. I got the almond, honey and ricotta. The wait was a little long, but it was all worth it. The guy who makes the crumpet is very friendly. We chatted with him for a little bit.
The crumpet is toasted first, then buttered, the they put on a huge amount of ricotta cheese, almonds and honey. It was so yummy. the butter was soaked into the crumpet and it was warm on the bottom, while the ricotta is still cool. not too sweet, just right. mmmmmmmm i can have that again right about now...

Fresh crumpets!!!!! Hubby enjoyed his with raspberry jam and I with egg, cheese, pepper and tomato. I got the tomato as a bonus as they're running low on pepper. I was pleasantly surprised at how strong my iced Americano was. No watered down coffee here. Great food, low prices and the friendliest folks around. This place is a gem.

Get a great freshly made crumpet with condiments for under 4 bucks.
The Crumpet Shop is a nice snack or light lunch spot in the center of Pike Place and has been here for-evah!
By condiments, I mean cream cheese mashed with lox and topped with slices of cucumber or scrambled egg & cream cheese (both only $3.25). They also have lots of sweet options - jelly, honey and Nutella. You can also get toppings like pesto with ricotta cheese or ham. Cheap & yummy - we paid $11 today for 2 dressed crumpets and a six pack to take home.
Today's soup was gazpacho...and you can get soup & a sandwich for under $9.
Round out your treat with one of their nice teas or chai. Latte happy hour is 7 to 8:30AM, only $1.80 for a solid cuppa.
The Crumpet Shop is a tiny, solid go-to spot for a pick me up after (or during) mad Market shopping.

We stopped here for a quick bite to eat and it was great! We had the ricotta and jam crumpet, salmon and cucumber, a nutella, and honey and butter (we ordered two and then couldn't stop ourselves from ordering two more, it was *that* good). I had the house blend tea, which was tasty and hot. Nice place for people-watching if you sit outside.
I wish we had these in Boston where I'm from!
Maybe you think you've had a crumpet because you bought a shrink wrapped package of them at the grocery store, but you'd be wrong. You haven't has a crumpet until you've had one fresh off the griddle like them serve them at the Crumpet Shop. They have a huge list of toppings, from jam to maple butter to lox, or you can just get it buttered. Anyway you eat it will be a taste sensation. They also home-bake bread for their delicious sandwiches (get there on the weekend for the ham and cheddar) and make great scones. Not to mention their tea selection! You can buy tea, or pop in for a cup. There's also several options for iced tea (a few geen and blacks) that you serve yourself so you can be a purist or mix and match. It's perfect for a hot summer day and pikes. Space in limited so just be patient while you're waiting in line. It's so worth it.

This place is a must do any time we're in Seattle. Being English, I miss crumpets enormously. The opportunity to get a fresh one, toasted and spread with Marmite cannot be passed over. The kids loved the cheese and the nutella ones and even our 10-month old enjoyed pieces of crumpet with butter. The best thing was buying a pack of half a dozen and toasting them over the fire when we got back to our campsite at Deception Pass in the evening!
Now I just need to find a good recipe so I can make them at home...

This place is incredible. I've had crumpets, soups and sandwiches and I have never been disappointed. I usually want to snuggle up and take a nap after the deliciousness. :) I'll often get day old crumpets to take home too; they taste just as good as the fresh ones since they are going to be toasted and drowned in butter anyhow!
Also worth noting is the PHENOMENAL chai tea lattes. It is a homemade recipe and is absolutely made with love. They run out now and again since it takes awhile to prep the mix (when they're out, they're out and don't make more until the next day).
The only reason I wouldn't give this place 5 stars is because of the atmosphere. I don't recommend it as a final eating destination since it is pretty crowded and feels a little cramped even when there are only a handful of customers. The place would have to be entirely redesigned to not bring on a little claustrophobia. Also, the seating itself - bar stools that are fixed to the ground and cheap plastic chairs/table - are pretty uncomfortable.
I am not a big fan of crumpets, from the UK to the US, I 've had them but they aren't my choice to accompany tea. Kym C., a huge fan of them, got a plain crumpet with nutella on top for us to share. And let's face it, ANYTHING with nutella must be consumed! I think the texture was chewier than expected and the color was off, so it was just okay to me.
A cute shop with a CUTE cat poster on the wall, they even have loose leaf tea to serve which is a huge plus! Unfortunately, I thought the crumpet was kind of a miss for a crumpet shop.
