One of my favorite places to walk to for breakfast or lunch. Parking near the restaurant is better than further down main street if your driving. The outdoor patio is a relaxing, and kid friendly place to eat.

Try the paninis they are unique and taste great.. My son loves the sweet potato fries.

Came by here this past weekend after kayaking with friends. Danny looked it up on YELP and said they hand out free coffee if you mention YELP.

I tried a few of my friend's Crepes and they were pretty good. I wish I had ordered a Creape myself but ordered the belgium Waffles and they were just okay. The service was pretty good. Nice and friendly.  This place is a breakfast brunch place and it closes around 5 I think.  The owner came out to greet us and even gave us a dozen muffins.

Next time I'll order my own Crepes instead of free loading off others.

This is probably the freshest review I've ever written, just a few hours after visiting the place. A group of about a dozen of us came to check it out after kayaking over at Sunset Kayaks in the morning to early afternoon. I had been talking about crepes with one of my friends and decided that since we were going to be in the area to hop onto Yelp and see if there was a place nearby and found The Crema Café.

Anyway, we got there around 3 pm and I saw the place was rather empty. I thought that maybe they were closed or maybe business isn't doing so well, but then I remembered it was 3 pm, after all. I ordered the breakfast crepe even though it was the afternoon, but I like breakfast any time of the day. (I'll even eat cereal at 10 pm if I'm feeling hungry.)

I asked how business was and they said it was pretty busy and thanked us for coming in, as it gave them a 2nd wind  The crepe was pretty good, the potatoes were a little overdone but still good. I would've ordered a sweet crepe for dessert but the girl taking my order said their crepes are huge. And they are. I ended up mooching a few bites off of my friends who ordered sweet crepes. Even the plating is nice, like what you might expect from a fine restaurant. Service also was really friendly and attentive.

The owner Tarit (I'm assuming that's how his name is spelled from another reviewer) came out and talked to us and it's very apparent that he is passionate about what he does and it certainly shows! He went back inside and we ate and talked and then a few minutes later came out with a box of muffins that he just gave to our group for free, since they were going to get rid of them anyway. He even gave us a bunch of paper bags for us to each take a muffin home!

Next time I go kayaking or if I'm in the neighborhood I will be dropping by again.

I did a breakfast bike ride with my friends to this place. It's a order/pay then they bring you the food type of place. We sat on the patio and saw dogs, and older citizens who look like they frequented the place. I had the spinach and mushroom crepe and it was sooo good! Came with side of salad and the dressing on it was so delicious. I also had fresh squeezed OJ with it. It was a perfect breakfast, well worth the 7 miles of biking to get there. Thinking of going back tomorrow morning :)

Great place to grab coffee and snacks!  We got the iced coffee (free b/c we mentioned Yelp!) and a mango iced tea.  We also tried the mango pear muffin and the berry muffin....all of which were delicious and well priced!  The staff was super friendly and helpful!  Although we were here to get some studying done, the food and ambience definitely brightened up our day!

Dog friendly, happy people, and great/tasty food options!

It took some time to decide but I finally chose the caramel/cinnamon raisin/apple crepe (see pic) for a Saturday breakfast with some girl friends. I also got the mango pear muffin and a cup of bottomless coffee. It was delicious! Even my friends' savory dishes were delicious! Everything!! DELICIOUS!  Good sized portions and pretty plating, too. :D

I think the only downside is the parking. But I shall return!!

Ooo, another breakfast/brunch place to put on my list of places that I like & plan to frequent!

So, you order at the counter and pay, seat yourself with the numbered placard that they give you, and they bring your food to you.  If you order a coffee drink, they'll call out your drink when it's ready, & you pick it up at the end of the counter.

It was busy when I was there for weekend brunch with my cousin & her husband, but the other customers were pretty friendly.  Originally we saw a 2 tables pushed together, with some stuff on it, but no one there.  After perusing the menu board (they also have fold up menus & take out menus), I turned around and found that the woman who was sitting there offered one of the tables to my cousin & our group, since it turned out that she was just waiting for one other person.  Thanks!  However, while we were waiting for our food, one of the tables in the courtyard outside opened up, so we moved outside since it was such a nice day out.  So, there's courtyard seating and some tables even have umbrellas if you want to be in the shade.

I had the nutella crepe, which was plated very nicely (pretty), and delicious.  The crepe was just the right texture for my liking, and I always love nutella or hazelnut flavored items.  You can also add items like banana or strawberries to your crepe, but I didn't see that until after I ordered.  It also came with a small serving of whipped cream on the side.  I also had a latte (my 1st coffee drink of 3 that day, yikes), which was good; by the way, they serve illy espresso.  I also got to sample a savory crepe--with chicken, mushroom, and cheese.  That was also very good, and came with a side salad of what looked like spring mix & a vinegarette-based dressing.

There's serve-yourself water on the counter inside.

They have other breakfast items that I'd like to return to try, such as breakfast crepe, Belgian waffles, eggs benedict, rustic French toast (I'm drooling as I peruse their take out menu).  They also offer sandwiches, panini, and salads. It all sounds pretty good to me, so I will be returning!

There's just street parking available.
Located on the south side of Main, between Electric Ave. (yes, that 80's song comes to mind) and Pacific Coast Highway, in quaint old town Seal Beach.

My new breakfast haven!

It's wonderful to know that there was hope and my search has ended! Finally, a place that sells Belgium Waffles! The Crema Cafe has a great selection of breakfast (and lunch). The food here actually tastes fresh and I don't leave feeling like I've bathed my insides in grease or butter.

I must add that the atmosphere is wonderful. I went there at 7AM and it was cute being able to sit outside with all the old people and their dogs. Hehe. Definitely a place that has their group of regulars. I'm very grateful of this cafe.

The food is great and it's fresh and lots of healthy items on the menu.

I've had crepes (which were great), whole grain french toast with orange mixed in which was excellent and I also had a chicken pesto sandwich for lunch one day. The food is great and when I eat breakfast down on Main Street this is the place I go to.

Crema Cafe has been a favorite spot of mine since the new management took over a couple of years ago.

I get something there several times a week - by myself, with family and with friends. It's a local favorite hot spot. Fresh baked good that rival the finest you'll ever find.

Their  freshly baked muffins have loads of filling wheather you get the berry, walnut banana or blueberry.  They have scones, croissants, danishes, cookies, bear claws as well as cinnamon rolls.

They have excellent, fluffy and pentiful omellettes, sandwiches and they have the best organic whole grain bread.  One of the best deals is the smoked salmon and bagel - an amazing value for a hearty appetite!

If you're wanting somewhat of a more traditional breakfast, they have eggs, breakfast sandwiches, belgian waffles, french toast and pancakes and oatmeal. Fresh fruit galore and granola dishes.

They have an excellent menu of espresso drinks, smoothies and coffee. Other beverages include water, iced tea, and assorted drinks.

Their sandwiches and salads are very tasty and abundant.

They provide catering for all types of events and businesses and support the local community.

One of my favorite things about Crema Cafe is that the staff is very friendly, courteous and accomodating. If you're a local, they know you by name.

I love the outdoor patio and all the openness. If inside, during the summer all the windows are wide open with plenty of air.

The owner is onsite and visits with the customers. He loves what he does, is great at it and it shows in everything he does.

This is one of the fine gems in town. If you haven't been there in the last couple of years, you owe it to yourself.

UPDATE! The mango and pear muffin is GOOD and so are their other baked goods like the almond croissants. Too bad a lot of items sell out early.  They've also expanded their kitchen a bit so the restroom is in the back now.
--------------------
YUMMMM!!!!! Is what I think of their eggs benedict with chorizo. I love it when folks make a good hollandaise sauce and not weird lemony what's this sh*t tasting ones. The potatoes are good too, they are flavorful and crispy, the best I've had so far, even though my pants were ready to pop a button, I couldn't stop myself from not eating them. They used to have an eggs benedict with carnitas but for some reason people were not ordering it. I'm hoping the owner will bring it back.  Since my boss knows the owner and his family, he gave us some complimentary baked good as well. The only bummer was I was so full from my breakfast I couldn't eat more.  But I'll definitely be back to sample their other goodies.  I'm really curious in trying their pear with I believe mango muffin. Their breakfasts make me a happy camper.  A definite for breakfast lovers.

Just had lunch here today, nice change of pace, and delicious too!  I started off by splitting the Pumpkin Muffin with a friend.  It was interesting, to say the least.  Certainly not your typical "breaded" muffin on the inside...more creamy like a pumkin pie, but firm enough to stand up on it's own...then has a typical muffin topping.  It was good, but I'm glad I split it!

I ordered the Smoked Turkey sandwich on their own organic whole grain bread....awesome!  The bread was deeeelicious, and the turkey actually tasted smoked!  It came with a small salad that was pretty impressive for a tiny plate salad....mixed greens, spinach, corn, dressing, etc.

Your going to spend a minimum of $10.00 to eat here, but if your dropping 10 bucks, this is the place to do it!

They make their own bread, muffins, etc.  I'll definitely be back to try out their breakfast menu...I couldn't stop staring!

This is the second time I've been here. After my haircut with Ernie Da Barber across the street at Main Street Barber Shop, I stopped in for a pancake, some bacon and free wi-fi!

Only one buttermilk pancake comes with the order, but it's pretty big; about the size of a paper plate.
The bacon was crispy and there were 4 1/2 slices.
The wi-fi was, as I mentioned before, FREE!
They also handed out samples of pumpkin pie that they make. It was great!
Love this place!

I have never noticed Crema Cafe before on Main Street.
However, after dropping my dog at the groomers which is near by
I saw a menu hanging outside and it grabbed my interest.

You order first then you receive a number and the food is delivered to you. Hubby ordered breakfast (it's served ALL DAY!!) I ordered a ham & swiss Penni sandwich w/fruit and we shared a pellagrino.

The owner was kind enough to come to our table and offer us samples of homemade pecan pie, which hubby loved
(Unfortunately I'm allergic)

Food was delivered pretty quick to our outside table.

Hubby loved the sausage and potatoes. I loved my sandwich
I thought the baguette bread was tasty and soft and still warm.
The sammich was so yummy I ate it all!

The only down fall is that this place is pretty pricey.
I'll for sure be back next time I'm in the area.

I have only had breakfast here, but their lunch menu does look enticing. I have been here on weekends and during the week and am always able to find seats, impressed by how fast the service is, and the food is great. I highly recommend the french toast. It's made with bread that's full of grains and instead of maple syrup it has an orange marmalade syrup which is pretty tasty. I feel like you could come here with a group of people or just sit at a table by yourself and read.

A great way to start off a morning. This place is on Main Street in a cute downtown area of Seal Beach. Parking is not too difficult. If you can't find a spot on the street, there are lots a block away with meters.

It is an order, grab a number, and find a place to sit kind of place. They bring the food out to you. This did take awhile, like 20 minutes and it wasn't that crowded. We sat outside at a table with an umbrella.

The food and coffee are excellent. The breakfast burrito came with lots of avacado which is great for me! I would certainly come back!

On my way of taking my daughter to Aquarium of Pacific right before the lunch crowd, my wife and I found this restaruant for bunch a day prior.  My wife ordered a crape and I ordered the beef hash.  the beef hash is slightly different than what we used to eat.  The beef has a simliar texture as pull pork.  It is very very tasety though.  My wife enjoyed her crape as well.  For coffee, i ordered the Crema blend.  For a non coffee drinker, i like the taste.  I was still call this restaurant a breakfast restaurant instead of brunch though, since to me, brunch is buffet.

This is very casual, with most of the seating outdoors in a courtyard off Main St.  The food is interesting and well-made - I enjoyed "Carnitas Benedict" (eggs benedict with wonderful, tender carnitas instead of canadian bacon).  I usually don't like "home fries/potatoes" but these were tender and flavorful, but not overwhelmed by peppers/onions.

There are no reserved tables, so on weekends if you have a larger group, you need to pounce on a table or move a couple empties together. You order/pay at the counter and they bring the food out.

Coffee refills are self-serve, others in our group enjoyed the crepes, the french toast, and an apple/walnut salad.  No beer/wine, so if you MUST have a mimosa this isn't your brunch zone, but it's really good for breakfast (only open for bkfst/lunch).

Definitely a fan.

Two things that stood out to me:
1) Breakfast Crepe.  My good friend ordered this and I definitely regret not ordering it myself!  It's absolutely delicious.  There are reviews below this one that list what's actually in one, so I won't go into great lengths about the ingredients.
2) OMG CHA!  I LOVE chai tea lattes done right.  They really *really* do them right.  I ordered the Chai Tea Latte (spicy) b/c it's hard to deviate from something tried and true.  Judging by this latte, I really need to try the vanilla version.  By far, this is the best chai.  Ever.

This place is one of those cafe type establishments that just happens to serve breakfast/lunch.  If you're the type of person that enjoys a good breakfast (complete with toast/fruit) and a hearty portion, this place will not disappoint.

Lots of locals, dog friendly, bike friendly.  All walks of life are there enjoying the good food.  Go inside, figure out what you want to eat, order, take a number and find a table to sit at.  They have great hardy bread and other baked goods they make themselves.  The coffee is AMAZING.  Their dishes are simple, and fresh, tasty too.  Breakfast options are best.  Crepes good too.  Potatoes and toast are delicious.  Yum yum yum.

I could feel my blood pressure going down as I stepped into this little neighborhood cafe.  Quiet street, super friendly staff, very relaxed and peaceful environment.  I got the mushroom and chicken crepe with gruyere, which was absolute enormity!!! It was literally the biggest crepe I have ever eaten. It was so good that I forced myself to finish it. It's not very often that I get to taste gruyere, so I was happily surprised to discover that they were VERY generous with the cheese! I must admit that my stomach protested the large cheese intake shortly after the meal, but it was worth it... I was also relieved to find that the side salad wasn't made of bland iceberg lettuce, but of arugula, corn, tomatoes, and a light vinaigrette.  Oh boy, how I would love to return to try their sweet crepes. How I wish I lived closer so that I could camp out at The Crema Cafe with a giant crepe, a mind full of daydreams, and a good book every Sunday morning.

Came here for brunch on a thursday, so it wasn't that busy. The place is rather small but cozy with a selection of pastries for you to look at as you wait in line. You order your food, they give you a number and you seat yourself.

my friend and I sat outside because it was a gorgeous day and then the server brought out our food.

I had a roasted vegetable panini on a baguette with sweet potato fries. Yummmm, I loved that a baguette was a bread choice and instead of mayo, they used this light, cucumbery/dill spread, i loved it! The fries were crunch and maybe a little too well-done for some people, but perfectly crunch for me! It was a lot of food and reasonably priced.

My friend had a chicken artichoke sandwich on sourdough with fruit.

Overall, great place for brunch and if you get a chance, walk around the area, there are quaint little shops along the street and you reach the pier at the end of it. fun!!

Oh, Crema Cafe, your food is amazing but only if your staff was consistently as amazing.

Hands down, Crema has fantastic food, ranging from breakfast to lunch. Their fresh baked bread is scrumptious, their salads are unusually good, and their Chicken Gumbo soup is through the roof.

Their staff is generally friendly, but very hit or miss as far as being attentive. The staff ranges from the flaky surfer chick to the responsible recent college graduate. There is always something that goes wrong with the service at Crema--whether it's forgetting an item that was ordered, not providing butter for the bread, or running out of drinking water for the customers. It's annoying to have to chase them down for the simplest things, but I suppose that is what you get when you don't have to work for a tip. What cracked me up is when a patron pronounced "salade nicoise" correctly and the surfer chick wait staff responded with "Huh? What's that?" But I shouldn't expect every surfer folk to necessarily be cultured. During the summer, they consistently ran out of soup or they weren't serving soup that day--even though it was on the menu.

Their areas of improvement include making more than one soup to accommodate dietary restrictions (like a veggie soup in addition to the Italian Wedding soup), not running out of items, not forgetting items in an order, and offering a breakfast meat substitute--turkey bacon/sausage in lieu of regular bacon/sausage.

On a positive note, Crema has charming ambiance and excellent food. The chef is personable and goes out of his way to say hello to customers. It's a popular place for good reason.

Four SOLID stars.

On a bleary Saturday morning, my sis, bro-in-law and I wanted a seaside escape for breakfast - one look at Crema's online menu and the words "smoked salmon eggs benedict" would not leave my sister's thoughts. So off to Crema Cafe we went.

The cafe was recommended to me via shameless plug (details eradicated to protect privacy) but needless to say, we know someone who knows someone.  We arrived and it was a much smaller venue than I expected it to be, but it was raining so a lot of the outdoor seating had been rendered useless.

We were fortunate enough to grab a table as a couple were leaving.  This is an order and dine establishment:  Order and pay for your food at the counter, get a number and they will serve you at the table.  Coffee beverages are served from the counter, much like any other cafe.

My sister settled for the Smoked Salmon Eggs Ben (of course) and I got the original Eggs Benedict.  Bro-in-law got the Blueberry and Banana crepe, and my sister and I decided to share the Crema Crepe, a delightful combination of a thin French crepe smeared with butter and drizzled with condensed milk....heavenly.

I enjoyed my breakfast, especially the rosemary potatoes that accompanied them, and my double latte was frothy and delicious in the big pristine white mug.  Though we may not have been on an oceanfront property, I can understand why people enjoying stopping by there.  Sister and bro-in-law enjoyed their meals as well, and thought the tiny cafe has great charm.

I'll have to go back and try their lunch items, but for breakfast, I'm a happy camper.

Crema Cafe is a nice place to eat breakfast, especially since it has patio seating.

At first glance in looking at the menu, you would think: wow... stuff looks pretty expensive.  Then when you get your order, you think, wow, I was right, it is a little expensive.  I didn't do that because my breakfast crepe was huge and tasty.  However, we ordered a couple of other things, like the sandwiches & other crepes and the portions are miniature.

Just take my word for it and order the breakfast crepe, especially if you're really hungry.  It's worth it.

When you sit in the outdoor patio at The Crema Café on Main Street in Seal Beach, you feel like you're miles away, in a little town somewhere in Europe. I love going to this place on Saturday mornings and just laying low, sipping my soy vanilla latte and munching on a nutella and fresh strawberry crepe.

Everything is so fresh here; they have a great assortment of baked goods from muffins to bread and everything in between. You also won't be disappointed by the hearty Breakfast Crepe--it includes eggs, bacon/chorizo and hash browns, along with your choice from a host of other morning time favorites.

The Crema Café is a walk-up-and-order-take-a-number-and-have-your-meal -delivered-to-your-table kind of a place. The service is great and the staff is friendly. Heck, they even have free Wi-Fi.

You should totally stop by, all of the cool kids already have.

The other Yelp reviews on brunch were spot on.  Great breakfast.  Have the French toast and you won't be disappointed.  I ordered a scramble (hubby was wise enough to order the French toast) and it was a-ok.  Nothing to write home about.   Maybe that was my mistake, I should have ordered something other than my scramble.

Coffee was so-so (good coffee is a MUST for any reputable brunch place!) -- you can refill your mug, but if it isn't good, why refill?

We were visitors in a town we've never been to.  Yelp helped us find Crema Cafe, but I can't say I'd make a trip back to Seal Beach to visit Crema again.

get there early on the weekend because I've experienced them running out of food.  one time it was sweet potato fries, and the other day they were out of roasted potatoes, which I really like.

Our group of three tried the Chicken Pesto crepe, Chicken Artichoke crepe and the Chicken Panini sandwich. Panini = A, pesto and artichoke crepes = B. I have had much more flavorful savory crepes elsewhere. While I say that these were average, they were tasty and filling, and price was fair. The non-fat milk was spoiled so it ruined my coffee. Yuck! Maybe if they try a fresher approach in their recipes they might earn more stars in the future.

this is a decent standard place for breakfast.  my mom had the oatmeal and said it was pretty good.  i had the smoked salmon eggs benedict which was also pretty good ....  but the food itself isn't anything to write home about.  the atmosphere is nice:  mellow local cafe.  staff isn't very friendly...  i said good morning when she asked what i wanted and she seemed surprised.  my eggs benedict wasn't hot, i dont know what happened, but i was so hungry i just ate it.  the soy chai vanilla latte was alright. again, lukewarm but i suppose that's alright.  it wasn't awful, but i didn't think it was worth $23 for oatmeal, eggs benedict and a soy chai vanilla latte.  for a little less than that i could've had awesome maxwell's breakfast for TWO on washington in venice, but this is orange county.  can't expect the same stuff i get in la...  i know...

0 stars. Got the burger today. It was obviously made from pre-formed, frozen patty. Not acceptable. This place may have some redeeming value, but it's not the burger. Make it right or take it off the menu.
