I stumbled across Corner Pub a few years ago and I love going when I get the chance.

We celebrated my 30th birthday there and they were very accommodating, especially with Game 5 of the Cardinals being broadcasted at the same time we would be there.  I had contacted them telling them that I would have a large party on a Friday night and they said that they would be able to fit us in as long as we arrived early.  I imagined having to wait awhile but we were seated in 5 minutes next to the big screen to watch the game.

My entire party enjoyed the experience of the food and the atmosphere of devoted Cardinals fans.

I recommend anything on their menu, especially their waffle fries.  It will certainly fill you up.

A great go-to place for lunch.  If you love onion rings, this is the place to go.  Probably the best onion rings I have had in STL.  It gets pretty packed in the evening, so don't be surprised if there is a wait.  Fried pickles are great.  Chicken wings have a kick to them, so you may love or hate them (my husband loves them).  "Gobble Del Rio" is a  turkey burger they have on the menu that never disappoints.  If you love gouda cheese, you will love their burgers.  They now how a gluten free menu and are always happy to adjust your order.

The Corner Pub is almost always packed. But the atmosphere is still non-existent. It is very noisy and the music is random and mostly drowned out by the crowd. The bar selection is poor and the bartenders can't even make a Manhattan.

This is still a place I'd only suggest if you want a cigarette outside with a beer and you don't want to drive to an area with better bars.

One of the more upscale bars in this area. Clean and modern. It's a Mizzou bar and there are plenty of flat screens if that's your thing.

I ate there for lunch awhile back and the food was decent. Had the nachos this evening and was underwhelmed. Cheese Whiz is not a replacement for real cheese. It also tasted as if they poured jalapeno juice on the nachos. Just sour tasting.

I'd go again and even eat there. But I'd never order the nachos.

    Service was fine.

South-west county doesn't really have much in the way of bars that aren't the usual neighborhood bar. The Corner Pub and Grill is better than most.

I was pretty impressed with The Corner Pub and Grill.  As someone who really appreciates well made bar food, I am defitiely a fan.

Their menu is pretty much what you would expect at a bar, but it's done really well.  I had a chicken sandwich with bacon and avocado and my boyfriend had their wings (trashed, which means fried twice so they are really crispy. YUM!).  We were really impressed with all of it.

No complaints about the service either.

I would be a frequent visitor if it wasn't so far away!

The Corner Pub is so much fun, especially on a lazy Sunday afternoon! You definitely want to be here if there's any type of sporting event on TV. Lots of flat screens and a really good vibe. Oh, and the array of beers and burgers doesn't really hurt, either. It's a perfect, casual spot to relax with friends and I can't wait to head back at some point.

The three stars are for the food & service as Paul K noted and I agree with very much. I think the appetizers are all pretty good... just standard bar fare. We had the nachos and they were fully loaded and absolutely got the job done, but I feel like it's kind of hard to mess up nachos. The fried pickles are pretty insane, so order some of those, too. My table also had the original chicken wings and they were good but way spicier than anyone was expecting.

The menu items we ordered for our dinner were just not good, unfortunately. I ordered the veggie burger with swiss, and luckily the fries were really tasty, because the burger was not. It looks really appealing- comes loaded with lettuce, tomato, cheese, onion, etc. It was the actual veggie patty that was the issue. I gave it to my fiance, and although he was probably being dramatic, he looked at me with a mouth full of veggie burger and said "this tastes like dog food." I couldn't help but agree, honestly. The texture was so creepy and it just tasted so off! Needless to say I had plenty of carbs that day from the million fries I ate for my meal...

A friend got the peppercorn burger and he couldn't even eat half of it. Another friend got a salad with chicken and she said it was just okay. So maybe head here for cocktails (they have a GREAT drink list) and some appetizers. My advice? Order the Southern Iced Tea. I'm gonna love that drink even more when the summer finally rolls around!

Cool place. Take it for what it is and you're bound to have an enjoyable afternoon!

I moved to STL about 4 months ago.  This is definitely my go to bar/pub.  Yeah there are plenty of other bars that are better at something, but this place is well above average at everything.  The menu is outstanding, it's not 5 star dining, but if you want greasy pub food, or a delicious salad they got both and do both well.  The staff here is off the charts, really, really friendly, very attentive, quick, and professional.  This a place you can feel at home.

There's probably not a better place to watch a football game.  Never crowded, always a very normal group of people.  Also the patio is exact what you need on a Friday after work in the spring and summer time.

Excellent beer selection, great prices, comfortable atmosphere.  Really I love this place, it's only down side it's not next to my house.

Best things on the menu, Southwest chicken salad, bayou chix wrap, nachos, fried cheese balls, and all of the burgers are great.

Yeah it's not downtown, but so what, I love this joint.

The Corner Pub has quickly become a go-to place for casual family dinner night.  Our most recent visit was on Friday night, and as usual the Dougherty Ferry / Big Bend cluster of restaurants was hopping.  That part of Manchester/Valley Park was starved for decent restaurants, and between JJ Twigs, The Tavern, and Corner Pub, we now have three excellent options.

The decor is upscale bar and grill, much nicer than you'd expect from the name.  A lot of money went into the interior.  Noisy when crowded, but not overbearing.

There is a large American menu to choose from, ranging from burgers/sandwiches to pizzas to salads to chicken, steak, etc.  I have never been disappointed in anything we've tried.  The buffalo chicken pizza is particularly excellent.  My wife had one of the new "bowls", a wasabi soy bowl with tilapia, which was quite good (but ordering the wasabi soy on the side is advised - serious heat!).  We also had the new pretzel appetizer, which was maybe the best I've had - yes, I know, "it's just a pretzel" but theirs are baked to order and this one was perfectly dense, glazed with a garlic butter that was excellent.  Came highly recommended and now I'm passing it on.  Burgers are good, but nothing special.

This place is always crowded, but we have never had to wait more than 15-20 minutes.  Service has ranged from good to very good.  OK selection of beers on tap, very good cocktails.  And on a side note, the owners (Parkway grads) have been great about supporting local schools, sports teams, etc. through sponsorships and donations.

    Highly recommended!

We went to The Corner for a business lunch and I was quite pleased. They have a pretty robust menu covering just about everything you would consider for lunch...I had the California Wrap, which was very tasty and well presented. Others in our party had the Steak Salad, Cobb Salad and French Dip...and everyone was very satisfied with their meal as well as the short wait we experienced.

First timer, walking in I was surprised how nice it was. Great bar area, tv's, dining side looked nice as well. We chose to sit outside - nice partially covered patio. Unfortunately it just takes one smoker to ruin the fresh air experience.

Service was attentive and smiley. Overall seems like the normal bar food fare, just a nicer variety. Brick oven pizzas, large burger selection, etc. Decent beer selection.

    Def. go back again.

Meet West County friends here for happy hour and it was a pleasant experience. However, I must say being in a strip center with multiple businesses, parking is a pain and we got there at 5 p.m..
Appetizers were half price till 6 p.m. which was a great deal. We had chicken wings, quesadilla and Black Angus Sliders. We also had an order of french fries and a Crispy Chicken Salad.  We were pleased with all the food.
The service was very good, the waitress was friendly and provided top notch service. I have been here several times before, the clientele has changed and it just doesn't have that festive fun feeling anymore. I'll come back, hopefully it was just a Tuesday crowd that wasn't in a party mind set.

I just can't ever get sick of this place! I had their fried pickles for the first time and mmmmmm! That's all I can say.

They are starting to have daily specials more often and some friend's tried their lobster ravioli the other night and it looked so good!

The owners are going to open up a more upscale restaurant in the same plaza called "The Tavern." I hope I love it just as much as corner! It is supposed to open in October 2010.

Another fun Friday night at the Corner Pub, it's close and kid-friendly so a good choice for us at least once a month. I'm not exactly proud of letting the kids order fried Mac-and-Cheese bites, but they love them and eat them, and I usually feed them much healthier stuff at home, so we're good.

I love that they have really good homemade specials like Lobster Ravioli for a decent price, AND that you can get something besides fries for a side dish, like garlicky green beans or the very yummy but rarely appearing flash-fried spinach. I am now in a rut with the Tilapia Reuben, (with the sauce on the side) having ordered it each time we've visited for a couple of months, but it is fantastic.

Great service, excellent food, cold cold cold beer, amazing atmosphere for a MIZZOU game... Thank you!!!

I used to live in the area and hit this place up at least once a week.  Even though I'm now a 35 minute drive away, I still find myself coming back.

The first time I went there, I was with my cousin and we ended up sitting near the bar but under a really cold A.C. vent. We joked about it to our waitress and she hung out with us telling us there was a reason the it was the only open seats in the bar area. We've since become good friends with her and the other staff, that's just how nice the people are there.

The food is pretty good as well. You've got to try the pepper jack cheese cubes and the texas roadhouse burger. the menu isnt just burgers and appetizers. theyve also got steaks, pizza, seafood.

The patio is quailty area to hang out as well. Plenty of seating, HDTVs with the game always on, and in the fall/winter they completely enclose it. The only downside to the whole place is the smoking.

So it is a bit warmer and they are open when I get off my long  I.T. work day for a late dinner.
    They have great spicy chili!!!!
I had a definite problem with their potato skins.. I could not stop ordering them. I think the crisis is over as Spring is coming and my waistband is not happy.  Their potato skins are good and addictive.
    So on to their salads!
They have a GREAT Spinach salad, I add the grilled chicken.
Of course the blue cheese & bacon on it is really just makes it a salad potato skin with out the potato but let me fool myself for a bit.
    I really like this salad.
My husband loves their Fiesta salad (another "let us pretend it's healthy" salad.)
The patio looks like it will be really nice to be out on in the summer time.
Their hamburgers are still average or lower.
Service is spotty. Sometimes you get a really good waitress and sometimes you get a bad one. Almost like fishing, next time I'm going to start throwing them back... dirty looks be darned.

TLDR: Warmer now. heh.  Service is spotty.  The Chili, Potato skins, (pretend it's healthy because it says salad please) Spinach salad (with grilled chicken breast,) & Fiesta salad (husband says this part) are all very good. The rest is average.
    Great upper scale corner bar.

Great place to eat. The hamburgers at the Corner Pub are some of the best I have had in St. Louis. Add in an order of fried pickles as a starter and some onion rings on the side and you have a fantastic meal.  Don't forget to try one of the great beers they  have on tap such as Blue Moon!

I went there for a girl's night out and it was just OK. I had the blackened chicken sandwich and it was kind of bland. One of my friends had a salad not sure which one and the lettuce was a little brown and the dressing was watery. All of that would have been fine except for the atmosphere. It's really loud and kind of bright. The utensils are really cheap so you feel like you're eating at a fast food place instead of a pub. Not a lot of thought went into design. We went somewhere else for dessert because it was so disappointing. The service was good though.

Went here Sunday with Chip K and his wife and my beloved Donna my wife.  This is real close to my house and it was the 2nd time I have been here.  3 Stars does not make this a bad place.  It is A OK.  Not great food not great service but OK.  My last visit I had a pizza.  It was there version of a meat lovers pizza and has some clever name that I can't remember right now.  It was OK not great nothing to right home about.  Really did not even want to review the place but heck I need to write something or people will think I am dead or something.  I saw nothing on any one's plate that I went wow that looks great.  It all looked average.  And listening to everyone it was average.  One thing of interest is the fried pickles are spears and not chips.  You take a bite and the whole darn pickle spear comes out of the breading grrr.  So there you have it an average place reviewed by an average person giving it average marks.

Went here for the first time on Sunday for lunch and I was also pleasantly surprised at having more than one veg option. How nice. Although I have to say I think its total crap when restaurants charge a dollar to sub a veg patty for a meat patty. Makes no sense to me and its really pretty lame. That said, I had the fiesta salad which was quite tasty though I do think 9 bucks for a meatless salad is a couple bucks too steep. Can't you throw me a piece of bread or something? That said, it was still a pleasant enough experience and I am sure I will be back since I live in the area now and I do like my beer. I did notice that there was definitely a common thread among all the young female workers there: apparently you have to weigh less than 100 pounds and tan a minimum of 7 times a week in order to secure employment with The Corner Pub and Grille.

I have been to the Corner Bar more times than I can count.  For dinner and just for drinks.  Everything I have ever had to eat is amazing!  Love the hot wings, fried pepper jack cheese cubes, and fried pickles as appetizers.  Burgers and salads are great for dinner, and don't skip desert, they make everything there themselves.  Also just a great place to stop in, grab a drink, and watch a game.  They have plenty of TV's.  And when the weather is nice they have a great patio.

I've only been here once, so I'm reviewing based on limited experience. I was told by friends that they had mixed reviews, so I was surprised by how much I liked the place. The food was tasty (the shrimp po' boy was the size of my head) and we were really happy with the wait staff. I'd be happy to go again, especially for drinks. For those of us who can never think of the cocktail name for what we want, they have a cocktail list on the table. Love that.

Yum, yum, yum! Where to begin? This place just gets it right! They have great food at a reasonable price with fast and friendly service. As a vegetarian, I am astounded by the number of quality offerings that are available, particularly for a pub. I've also been told that their carnivorous options are superb. The bar is usually crowded but if you are there to dine, the atmosphere is such that you can easily converse with your fellow diners without disruption from bar patrons. They also have an awesome beer selection. Highly recommend!!
