Stayed here with a AAA rate of $99 a night -- a great value at that price -- friendly staff, nice rooms and a comfy bed. The parking situation seemed a little problematic -- all valet parking and it gets backed up (though the hotel didn't even seem too busy).

All things considered (especially the price) it was a very nice experience.

I was not sure about staying downtown, but I really enjoyed The Columbus hotel.  It is completely renovated with modern updated lobby.
The rooms are beautifully furnished.  I had a King Size bed with down comfortable and a lot of pillows.  Very comfortable.  There was a modern desk overlooking the city, a settee couch and another couch chair.  They fit a lot into a small space, but it seemed to work.  It was nice that they had a refridgerator and coffee maker in the room

The bathroom had a funny door that folded in half but nice updated shower area and bowl sink.  Very nice decor.

One evening, we did go to the pool which is on the 4rth floor.  There were a lot of people out and the water was cool.  The jacuzzi was packed, but it was nice to be outdoors in the middle of the city.  The lounge chairs were very relaxing.

The website says parking is $26, which I could see paying in NYC, but this is Columbus?  There is a parking lot about a block away if you want to save on parking.

So I have been staying at this hotel weekly since the end of August.  It's an extremely nice hotel and the staff is very accomodating!  If you're looking for a great place to say that's affordable for business travel, this is the place!!  Give it a try, I bet you'll love it!  Oh yeah, pass on the restaurant, it's not the greatest.  Mitchell's is right across the street & it's much better!!

Travel to Columbus frequently and enjoy staying at The Columbus.  Good vibe, friendly staff and centrally located.  This is part of the Marriott family of hotels and just underwent a super renovation.

I just got back from a 3-day weekend here for a wedding. Surely, it's one of the nicest hotels in Columbus. Apparently they just underwent a multi-million dollar renovation, and the rooms as well as the lobby and common areas were very modern, clean and beautiful ... but not over the top. The hotel staff were very accommodating for the guests and the wedding events. We were a rowdy group at times, and they still served us drinks with a smile. Great outdoor pool deck on the 4th floor, nice gym, expansive lobby bar/lounge. I have no complaints except that housekeeping missed our room on one of the days ... probably because I slept in too late though. We had a special rate for wedding guests at $109 per night -- a great deal.

The Columbus Hotel is a great, high end, business hotel in Columbus' Arena District. It's easy to get to from 71 N (Cleveland) and 670 (Airport, Dayton) in both directions, as it's about a mile off of both freeways on the same street as the exit. I was there for a four day conference. The meeting rooms are very nice. The ballrooms are very spacious and great for whatever purpose you need. The lobby is modern and clean. The rooms were very comfortable, as they were spacious and clean. My biggest complaint was the bathrooms, which at first glance seem industrial. The shower has no door and only a partial glass wall shielding you off from the rest of the bathroom, which leaves you with no privacy if someone walks in, and it also feels awkward to me showering with a big open gap in the glass. The views were good from the 11th floor facing south towards the rest of Downtown. The hotel has 21 floors. Overall, if you need a hotel in Columbus, seriously consider the Columbus, as you won't be disappointed.
