The Coffee Table is my #1 Go-To place near my work.  Good fresh food and a cool atmosphere.  The back patio is fantastic.  I recommend everything, but especially the burger, the turkey and swiss sandwich, and the Silver Lake Salad with tuna.  Good coffee and desserts, too.

Parking is a little difficult but there is a small lot in back.  Just be extra careful if you park across the street and make the mad dash across Rowena.

The turkey burger was decent but the chai tea latte is pretty yummy. The downside of The Coffee Table is that it doesn't have free wi-fi. BUT that may be a good thing if you want to actually get work done when you don't need the internet! Actually, that is a very very good thing.

Cute patio area but the service is just all right.

Don't you hate when work interferes with Yelping, man it sucks.  So I've been absent a while...my apologies.  I have a list of places to review and I thought I'd start with this fine establishment.

During a hiatus this summer from work, I came here often.  During the week it's the perfect spot to work.  My bf and I came here to work and study for hours and it was totally chill.  It's fairly quiet, and the outdoor patio is absolutely calming and pretty on a summer afternoon.  I am a fan of their BLTAs, grilled cheese, and iced lattes.  They also have some of the best sweets I've ever had at a cafe.

All in all a great spot to chill, grab a good nosh, read a book, and hang out on a lazy afternoon.

Ok the Coffee and food are OK but the DESSERTS!!! TO DIE FOR... Wanna Know why??? Their Cakes and Pies are made by Sweet Lady Jane bakery! Try the Sour Cherry pie or the Chocolate Hazelnut Cake and you will thank me.  Yum Yum Yum That's the shit I crave

I've always wanted to stop by The Coffee Table on my way to the local Trader Joe's and Gelson's so I finally decided to drop by!

I haven't tried any of their food but the cupcakes in the dessert window looked tres yummy! I can attest to their chai lattes which are reallyyyyyy good!

The only thing that semi-sucks is that there isn't any internet.

Anyways, the drinks are good enough for me to be dropping by again!

Tasty food (omelettes galore), good enough espresso drinks (I'm crazy about my vanilla lattes so I can be a bit hard to please,) but what makes this place stand out to me is the amazing back patio! It's so nice and relaxing and ahhh I could just sit out there all day.
If you live within walking distance, this place could easily be your new daily digs. Hell, I lived about a mile away and I still would walk there for daily noms.

Delicious. I ordered the chorizo and eggs (Note: I've been craving chorizo ever since I went to Animal - see reveiw).  My friend ordered the tofu scramble that was very good too-- didn't even miss the eggs or meat.  We arrived around 2pm on a Sunday and the place wasn't crowded at all.  Do sit in their covered outdoor patio.   Left very satisfied and I was full for the entire day.

I really like this place, I go very often. Its simple food but it all taste really good. The coffee is also very good. The desserts are amazing! It has an amazing back patio where you can sit and not have the sun burn you but they also have front sitting where one can smoke. The entire staff is amazing, once you go often they remember you and are even nicer to you.
They only thing is that it can get kinda pricey but I say its well worth it. Please go and try anything on the menu.

I'm a cheesy pseudo hipster from the opposite side of the city.  Yet when I'm at Coffee Table, I feel like I'm at home :)

The back patio is phenomenal and cozy, the cupcakes are pretty good (most recently: chocolate banana for the win).  Occasionally, the staff get forgetful (one of my friends got fully caf instead of his requested decaf, and I got a latte when I asked for a mocha), but it's not enough to hold against them.

The food items are good, the community feel is palpable, and if you're lucky, on a very rare day, a bedraggled hipster from the South Bay just might be there to smile at you :-D

Snag a table on the back patio! It's super cool and cozy! With it's sweet and simple decor the fresh art throughout the coffee/sandwich shop really neat! Collectively The Coffee Table is not only a place for great conversation, but also a great conversation piece with the tables, art, patio, and people watching capabilities!

The people serving up the delish food and drinks are also very friendly. I highly recommend their Chicken Salad sandwich on rye OR on a salad :) soo yummy! They also make a great cup of iced chai!

Definitely a great place to eat, chat, or chill!

Loved this spot. Good breakfast selection. Super cute inside & nice outdoor seating as well. I had an egg white omlette with mushrooms, spinach & sun dried tomatos with breakfast potatos & fruit.

We sat next to this cute furry pup..couldn stop giggling at how darling this dog was until my friend told me there was a spider next to me...I violently got out my flip flop to beat the living be-Jesus out of it. (I was outside, so dont think the sanitation was bad inside) but still....gross.

Let me just say my number one favorite part about this place is the back patio! So peaceful, quiet, and clean! Second are the people who work here, they are very friendly and nice. Kind of shocking for a coffee joint. Food is good and healthy tasting. I like to come here and just sit with a friend have a cup of coffee, relax, hang out and talk on the back patio. It's really good for that. Plus they've got a mini parking lot to make it a little easier for those of us who drive.

This place is really good if you want to grab some food but NOT if you want to get work done. I really like that they don't have wifi there but I don't like that there is no where to plug in your laptop. They told me they disabled all the wall outlet because they didn't want people "camping out" there doing work.

I kind of LOVED it here. I was starving, having waited an hour and a half in line for my sample sale, running in and grabbing of Mike & Chris apparel, and the pushing of other angry shoppers (I kid you not).

My friends and I walked down the street and came into The Coffee Table, STARVING. I ordered the Veggie Burger w/ Swiss Cheese and no mayo. It came with a side salad and it was good. Amazing, even.

It filled me up perfectly after my "workout." The atmosphere was chill and there were a ton of people studying/working. I'd love to come here and read a book, but thankfully this time I had some great company. We didn't feel rushed or anything and had a leisurely, girly lunch. I'll definitely be back.

More like 3 1/2 stars.  It's a good place to study, with lots of big tables and a yummy chai.  But I've come across two problems.  1. The fact that the door to the back patio stays open means that there are bugs around sometimes, and 2. For some reason, none of the wall outlets work.  Otherwise, I've had some very productive study sessions here.

On a sort of unrelated note, if you've ever had a personal conversation with someone at a coffee shop and though, "no one can hear anyway," you were totally wrong.  I heard you today, people next to me.  And you were weird.

The Coffee Table is a great place to grab a laid back lunch.  It's definitely got a hipster vibe and feels comfortable.  They've got an eclectic menu of salads and sandwiches that are really good.  I'm a fan of their chopped salad.  They also have a big selection baked goods.  You really can't go wrong here.

The back patio is what makes this place very cool.  It makes up about half the restaurant and it's covered so you don't fry in the sun when it's hot.  They don't play music like a lot of restaurants so it's great to just relax on the patio and chat.  The Coffee Table is a great place to take a group of people.  The only parking is street parking so you get to show off your parallel parking skills.

The Cofee Table is one of the best places to hang out with friends or alone.  Each time you walk through a doorway you encounter another cool room.

They have a great "outdoor" section in the back that is covered and allows you to enjoy the comforts of both indoor/outdoor experiences.

It is not, however, your parent's coffee shop.  If you are interested in enjoying a bottomless cup of Joe with your conversations...you are out of luck.  While the coffee is served in large mugs, there are no free refills.  So consuming a few cups of coffee with your conversation can get pricy.

I think the food is good but also a little on the pricy side.

It's a cool and fun place to hang out if you are willing to spend a little more on your "coffee shop" experience.

Mr. Tight Pants wanted to eat here, being a real hipster hangout with vegetarian options (he wants to marry the vegetarian burrito). All I wanted was to get out of the cold and fill the gas tank. Service is fairly pleasant and the colorful decor is nothing short of homey. Their light and mellow coffee warmed the soul, and made me want to kiss some fat penguins. I kissed a soyrizo breakfast burrito instead. It was so damn good; I never even wished a cow was around for a meaty threesome.

Other notables:

Chopped chicken salad - sounds boring but surprisingly tasty with a sweet vinegar dressing
Breakfast sandwiches - awesome and filling with a side of taters
Eggs benedict - nothing to write home about; I'm pretty sure the hollandaise is pre-made
Red velvet cupcakes - good dessert but often runs out

This place is soo Los Feliz. Actually It reminds me of a coffee shop somewhere in Brookline in Boston on Beacon St or wherever. I have been here two times, and have not been disappointed either time!

The decor is very cute with mosaic tables and contemporary lights, very homey. There are 3 eating areas. One is inside in the two rooms. One is the entrance to the eatery, you can smoke at that one. The other is on the patio out back, where I don't think you can. There are photos from local photographers that are up on the wall, last time I went they were of Yosemite National Park. Very cool, you should look at them when you go.

When you order at the front, they give you a number that you take to your table and they will bring it out. The menu is vast and everything is organic and tasty and fresh. Their coffee is amazing, and I tried their Egg Nog Latte, which is really tasty. I got their bagel with lox and cream cheese with comes with sliced eggs, avocados, onions, tomatoes, a couple of other things as well. Very good. I haven't had any of their other items, but they have a big variety. Affordably Priced

Delicious!!! The only downside is that parking is kind of a hassle here.  Its a casual cafe, where you order at the counter and then they bring the food out to you.  They have a good selection of breakfast items that are served until 3pm I think.  I ordered the breakfast sandwich on a croissant (50 cents more), which was served with potatoes and fruit.  The croissant sandwich was large and filled with two fried eggs, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and some kind of mayo.  I liked how the croissant wasn't soggy like at some places.  Since croissant sandwiches dont make good left overs I ate the whole thing, which was very filling.  One of my friends ordered the oatmeal. I tried some, and that was delicious as well. Nice and hearty served with milk, brown sugar, cranberries, apple slices, and nuts.  My other friend ordered the greek omelette which was served with fruit and potatoes.

As usual, my wandering eyes kept looking at what other people ordered...pretty much everything looked good!

On my way to getting my hair did, I decided to check this place out since it was one block away from my destination and because it looked cute (yeah that's how I check new places out).  Before ordering, I asked if they allow dogs in their outside area because I had my dog in my car.  Unfortunately they don't because of health regulations or something.  Thought I'd ask.  I ordered the south of the border omelet made with egg white.  The omelet contained green chili, cilantro, avocado, and cheese topped with sour cream and salsa.  One bite of my omelet and I was in heaven.  All those ingredients made my taste buds scream like a little school girl.

Don't even get me started on the potatoes.  I'm normally skeptical about breakfast potatoes that are chopped and not made into hash browns - I haven't had a good experience with those kind of potatoes yet.  When I took my first bite of those potatoes, I couldn't believe it.  In disbelief, I took another bite and another.  These potatoes were really good; they almost made me forget about my love for hash browns.  I will definitely try this place again when I get my hair did.

I'm a bit addicted to the beef chili at The Coffee Table. Tender hunks of beef that fall apart in your mouth and the blend of spices in the savory chili packs a wonderful wallop of just right heat, not overwhelming at all.  I get it at least once or twice a week.

I've also tried most of their salads and ugh, why do all of their dressings have to be creamy and cloying? A balsamic vinaigrette should not be sweet and creamy. The only salad that's halfway decent is the Santa Fe -- black beans, romaine, grilled chicken, cheese, avo and a zesty jalapeno-ranch dressing ($9).

Green burrito ($9) is pretty solid: Breakfast burrito slathered in a tomatillo sauce and slices of avo. Most of the desserts are from Sweet Lady Jane's, too.

Great layout, spacious, cool tables -- if this place had WI-FI it would be near perfect.

I wrote this review before the place went downhill. I have been there a few times in the last month or so and have been quite let down. I'm now going to take my business to the Eagle Rock Coffee Table--the food is way better and the staff is AMAZING!

This is a neighborhood haunt for me and a great place to read a book, knit, or meet a friend. They have the BEST mashed potatoes on the planet! Really. Their sandwiches, especially the chicken salad and tuna, are amazing. Their dinners are quite pricey, so I avoid those. Staff are cool. And the desserts are to die for. I can walk there from my house and that's definitely a plus of living in Silver Lake.

Sandwich.  Eh.
Cake. Eh.
Service. Not bad.

The world needs more cafés where people can hang out and write (they used to have poetry readings here).  So as one of the last remaining hang-out cafés, they get my respect.  However, the food could be a little (much) better.

I'm not sure if this helps...but I'm from Northern California.  I miss those types of coffee shops where you feel like you're in someone's trendy kitchenette.  This is what the coffee table has to offer.  It beats going to starbucks where the baristas don't appreciate the delicacy of a espresso shot.  The food delicious, fresh, and always tasty.  The $10-15 range is worth it if you're going to spend the afternoon reading or blending in with the other laptop, book/script writing patrons.  The service is friendly and they will always convince you to get dessert! Pst.. it's worth it.

I like going here b/c it's my home away from home.

Parking: there is a lot, sometimes it can get crowded.  Quick go there before everyone and their mom shows up!

A nice place to go for a quick bite. Cheap bagel and cream cheese. The "Burrito From Hell" breakfast burrito is awesome.

Pros: You can almost always find a seat, fast and friendly service, good food.

Cons: Horrible coffee, I've had soy lattes that literally tasted like burned dirt, and drip coffee that was warm and not much better.  Slightly pricey for some breakfast items. Expensive side of "fruit" was almost all melon.

Now that i've learned to avoid it's flaws I do love the coffee table, more for its convenience than quality.

Uncomfortable chairs for long wifi sessions. You need the password to get on. I think it's their phone number.

Okay coffee. The place is big, but it feels more like a diner than a place to sit down and write, and that's the main reason I go to coffeeshops, the coffee shop feel. I'd come back for food though. Sure, why not? But I don't think I'd come here if I wanted to spend lots of hours working/writing/thinking. It's all what you're in to.

I eat here all the time, mainly weekends.  I was eating alone today and made eye contact with a really attractive girl.  We made eye contact again on the way out and I'm kicking myself for not talking to her.  I thought she was with a guy because there was another plate at the table, but it turns out I saw her "date" as I left the back porch - a girl.  Oh well.  Banana pancakes were good at least.
