The Cheesecake Factory

The service was slow, took about 40 - 50 minutes for our food to get here. The temperature was very cold in the building, so cold that I was shivering in the restaurant. The food was very good in a large portion and was reasonably priced. But the ambiance was good, the atmosphere felt good and the waiters were very nice and friendly.

Our visits to the Cheesecake Factory have plummeted over the years to maybe once a year and today was the day. Here are the highs and lows of this visit.

Highs:

The people. From the greeter to the seater, order, and food delivery people, they were all spot on in terms of what a service delivery team should be all about, a happy experience.

Good taste. Wife and I had the chopped salad. Our son went for the flatbread pizza. They all were solid in terms of taste.

Lows:

Food quantity vs. price. One of the reasons sparsity of our visits in recent times has been that while volume of food has gone down significantly, the prices have gone up, which for us has reduced the value.

Food delivery time. It's never been gold star in this category and today was no different. It was an abysmal 45 minutes from order to delivery.

As expected, nothing today will impact the frequency of our visits.

The food was garbage. I am floored i paid 169.98 for two burgers and chicken dish and taco's. The price is not the issue the issue is the food who the hell is cooking for you ? A masochist? How is a burger have skin that separate from the internal meat. My kids were sooooo upset. My son walked out , asking me if he could wait in the car because he couldn't look at the food anymore. My daughter couldnt finish her drink because the food was so nasty it left a after taste in her mouth.
We waited an hour to be seated? Again im new to va so im trying to not have my NY standards applied to VA restaurants but f that .... I would rather go to beef steak charleys.
Also everyone comes to the cheesecake factory on a Saturday night. Sadly I've realized there aint many places that have the appeal for intimacy and family appeal at the same time. I get it but to be so packed with people and the food to taste horrible. It means there aint many choices around . Just sad asf. The chefs or people who were chose that night to poke and sabotage the meals congratulations.... Im outtttttttttttttt never againnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

I joined the CF rewards program and was able to make a reservation in advance for a Saturday night. I was glad I did because the wait was long for those who didn't (which was expected). We were initially seated by a group of teens and the hostess offered to move us to a more quiet spot which was great but the tables were so close together. We were at a 2 seater table but a 4 seater was right beside us; I could reach out and touch them and the other guests had to side step between tables when they got up.

As always the food was delicious. We opted for marinara sauce instead of cocktail sauce for the calamari. This was our first time trying their Brussels and they were cooked well. I love the gumbo (I asked for extra sausage) although it has more of a jambalaya consistency when mixed with the rice. My boyfriend's dish was incorrect at first but our server Tatianna (sp.) apologized and got it to us as quickly as she could; she was super sweet and did great with checking on us and refilling our drinks throughout the night.

Because I signed up for the rewards in advance I got a reward for a free slice of cheesecake so I went with my favorite ultimate red velvet cake cheesecake to go!

Who doesn't love a peace of cheesecake! I still haven't tride them all, but will definitely try!
Till this day no one has topped their calamari. Others tried, but doesn't come close. So if you get a chance definitely try. Also the Caesar Salad dressing taste like home made. I make my own Caesar dressing and use 9 ingredients, so to me this dressing sure comes close. The decor and service is always great! Will always cone back

Worst cheesecake factory I've ever been to! The service was slow, we waited nearly an hour for our food and then they couldn't get the order right. When the correct entrée was brought out, everybody else was just finishing.

The cheesecake factory is usually a super good restaurant and I'm very disappointed at this particular location. Big improvements needed here!

Wound up here again on a Sunday for a family member event. They "didn't have our reservation" despite our calling to confirm it as we were driving in. So, we had to wait close to an hour before we could be seated. As I have written here before, I despise this place. The food is generally mediocre for the price, it's noisy and the service is often subpar. For the $ you spend here there's Coopers Hawk across the street and even Tazza. Are better values. The only reason to come here is for cheesecake and even then get it to go.

I could not get Cheesecake Factory off of my mind so I took a road trip in the cold rain to curb my craving. Even though there was a line, we were seated immediately due to it just being two of us. Our waitress, Amy, was prompt and attentive throughout our meal. We started with a Raspberry Lemon Drop, Passionfruit Margarita, Buffalo Blasts and Fried Mac n Cheese. The drinks were awesome!!!! The flavors of the appetizers were good, however they were just warm. They would have been so much better if they were hot. After eating our bread, we only ate one Buffalo blast each and one Mac ball. By the time the food came, we were ready for our to-go boxes. My pasta was really good (would have been better if it was hot). It will be even better tomorrow for dinner!!! I got a slice of lemon raspberry cheese cake to go. I'll eat a bit of that when I get home. Overall, my experience was decent. I will definitely return. It would have been a higher star rating if the food was hot.

Came with my siblings for dinner!! Had a 10 pm reservation and arrived an hour early. We were seat forty minutes early, thank you!!

Stuffed mushrooms were the appetizer and were well received! The Honey Drizzled Chicken was delicious! The Club Sandwich was good just a tad heavy on the mayo. The Zesty Cheeseburger was very good with a very nice brioche bread. The Orange Chicken was tasty.

All were very generously portioned and an appropriate temperature. They missed a side of broccoli that was ordered. Didn't need it and it was removed from the bill.

Why is it so dark in here?? I guess to help hide the dirty utensils, maybe. Every set on the table had some type of food stuck to it. They were quickly replaced with the good stuff upon request.

Jordan the waiter was awesome. On point and a positive attitude.

Be prepared to wait if you don't have a reservation and equally slow service. You have to know what to get when going to the cheesecake factory. They don't have the best food, but most definitely known for their cheesecakes. I am not impressed by their food, or their overwhelming menu.

We ordered dynamite shrimp. The sauce was served on the side. Also, the tails were still left on the shrimp which takes away from the entire taste of the shrimp. There are three types of caesar salads, which is overwhelming. We also got the tamale cakes, which were pretty good.
We also got burgers, smokehouse bacon burger and the double bacon burger. They were both cooked to perfection.

We ordered the dulce de leech cheesecake, pineapple upside down, and red velvet. All of those were amazing to say the least.

We spent almost 2 hours in the cheesecake factory and that was not including the wait. Probably the reason we only visit once a year.
