Been coming here for years over and over again and can't get enough.  I stick with my #14 which is delicious. Applewood smoked bacon with avocado and goat gouda. I hold the tomatoes since I'm not a tomato eater. I love this yummy sandwich.  So happy Cheese Course has expanded to other locations although there is something about this one that just wins me over.  It is small and quaint.  Just thinking about it starts the craving for another one =)

The Cheese Course is fantastic no matter what you order, but I find the quiche to be far superb at this location. AND if you go in the morning they add fresh fruit to it.

Downside, no cheese/baguette/jam tasters while you wait :(

The food and selection can't be beat.  The only reason I can't give 5 stars is for the lack of seating and the patrons.  Definitely go before or after the lunch rush to avoid being pushed around.

My favorite is the chicken salad sandwich but everything I have eaten there has been wonderful.

Great food! Awesome ingredients, too! Love the place and the concept, except this particular location is TOO SMALL and packed with entitled, whiny, bitchy, sour-faced and pushy people most of the time, or at least during the lunch rush. Avoid it then...

Try the mozzarella, tomato, and basil sammy or the tuna, both were crowd pleasers. And I appreciate the soup, there were a ton of veggies and broccoli in the brocc+cheese soup which leads me to believe that they used a cuisinart to make it more chock-full-o-goodness!

Huge lunch rush on the weekends! Can definitely be difficult to find a place to sit and enjoy your food.  I'm partial to brie cheese so the ham and brie cheese sandwich (which i had them make hot) was delicious. Minus one star because although my sandwich was hot and toasty like I asked for, when I took a bite the middle of the sandwich (the ham) was cold. This has never happened before and I attribute this to the high lunch volume. Although I didn't say anything, I was slightly disappointed.

Like many of the reviews I cannot give this restaurant 5 stars due to their extremely rude employees.  Their food is beyond delicious and the wine is exceptional but you'll wait at least 15 minutes for your food, probably won't have a seat and you'll most likely be treated like you're an annoyance instead of a customer!  But with all that said... We are in Weston every year for at least ten days and we go every day we're here!

Been coming here for years. I go there at least once a week with my girlfriends. The service and staff is outstanding. When ever i need help picking out a cheese our wine theres someone always there to help me. The staff is very knowledgeable about their store. The only reason why I giving them a 4 star is because of their dessert selection. The almond cake with the dried cranberries is fantastic. But the cupcakes SUCK!!!!!! other than that i have no complaints. My experience there is always great. I LOVE THE CHEESE COURSE.

Great sandwiches! The food is great and all fresh.  Only down side is the location, its a small place and it gets packed quickly.  Parking can also be a pain during the lunch rush.  I wish it was a bit bigger and had more tables.  It's not cheap, but it is delicious!  I would recommend to anyone in the area, worth the drive into Weston to enjoy.

Love love love this place! It is a small establishment that sells cheeses from all around the world and has a little bistro that serves salads and sandwiches.
I always order the grilled chicken sandwich with fontina cheese, tomatoes, basil pesto, and red onions, yum! Always delicious on a crunchy baguette and warmed to perfection.
They also have wine and cheese events, like tastings and education classes, which is pretty neat.

A small chain with a big, big following. The Weston location is the only one I've been to, but I'm sure they're all pretty consistent. This location is extremely small, but there is a few tables inside and out. Said tables are usually full, so when we lived close by, we would get our sandwiches to go. Be prepared to wait or eat on a bench in the Weston Towncenter. Either way, get this food into your mouth, it doesn't matter where you eat it.

There is more on the menu then sandwiches, but I still haven't managed to try anything else. My favorite is the #14: rosemary aioli, applewood bacon, arugula, avocado, and (brace yourself) goat cheese gouda. All warmed up and made with love. I know, right? An honorable mention is the roast beef with thick cuts of blue cheese and a cranberry relish. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I suggest getting one sandwich each, and then splitting another one with someone.

Walking to The Cheese Course, you'll be blown away with the amazing selection of cheeses not only from across America but from France, Italy, Switzerland and more. Each wheel or wedge is well labeled and described. The walls are covered with everything from jams, wines, cooking utensils, cook books and everything else culinary related, available for purchase. Typically, there is a small sampler of a featured cheese, a jam or preserve, and bite sized french bread chips for the samples to snack on while you wait. You will want to buy whatever they put out. Trust me.

I've only seen the salads and actual cheese courses from afar, but my, they do look tasty. The Cheese Course is by far one of my favorite places to go. It's a real treat for a cheese lover like me.

Going off of 2 hours of sleep, my plane landed in Florida with a torrential rainstorm welcoming me on the tarmac. My head: "WTF, WHYYYY did I come to Florida?!" Then I met The Cheese Course. My stomach: "HOLY mother of...I mean...GRAIL OF SANDWICHES!"

One part cheese castle, one part sandwich magic forest, The Cheese Course has some of the best sandwiches I've ever had.

The Southwest Chicken Breast sandwich was calling my name, and it didn't disappoint. Jalapeno Monterey Jack, roasted red peppers, basil pesto, mayonnaise, and veggies round out the best sandwich I've had in months.

Torrential rain or not, this sandwich was magnificent, and I can't be too angry at FL anymore...my stomach is a happy camper:).

If you are in the Weston area i recommend this place,  I  had the # 16 , i love cheese so i felt like a little kid in a candy store when I walked in,and not to mention it was very clean . The only cons I can think off is a little overpriced  and not enough places to sit. If you go make sure you take someone with you to hold the table while the other person orders. Hope this was helpful!

    THIS
    PLACE
    IS
    RICIDULOUS

It really is. The last time I had something this good, I was in Napa. Oh yes. I had a sandwich with prosciutto, avocado and bacon just to name a few. My husband had one with Serrano ham. The cheese on the sandwich was of course amazing! In addition, we had an actual cheese sampling of brie and parmesano which came with some candied walnuts. Oh my. This was shared over a bottle of pinot noir and seated outside on a glorious South Florida day.

I wish the place itself was more spacious and had more seating outside. I also wish that if you are seated at a table, they offered table service. It would cut down their counter line. You have to order it, wait and take it to your table.  I cannot wait to go back! Is it time yet?

Made the Wife Happy.  Isn't that what it is all about.  (don"t tell her that I loved the take out as well)

First, you can find this on the right hand side of the street if you are using GPS.  You will see a bunch of ladies sitting outside around 3 really little tables.  Second, don't expect to find a seat if you go during lunch or dinner.

Imagine a 20 x 20 room with 4 deli coolers filled with cheeses and some other delicacies from around the cheese world.  Then add some marmalades and other wine shenanigans, and then mix in a small kitchen off in the  back.  Now, put about 30 people in that area because they have all discovered what you are about to.

We had the applewood smoked bacon sandwich.  Great bread, avocado, bacon, tomato and other good stuff make a nice warm welcome to the taste buds.  I got it to go with a mixed greens salad and some nice Chilean wine, and it was my lucky night!

for the sandwich and the salad, I forked over $19 well worth it bucks.

This was my second experience with The Cheese Course. I first visited their location in Miami. Took a friend from out of town with me.

The quality of the products are consistent, each place had delicious and fresh cuisine. However, the size of the locations were quite different. The Weston location is much, much smaller. There is less indoor and outdoor seating. That's a shame really. Luckily we were able to get a table quickly but many others weren't able to.

It was very busy and hectic since there was constantly a line and not many tables and people trying to get around the store.

The service was good, the cashiers were very nice.

    I had:
    Prosciutto di Parma = EXCELLENT
    Cappuccino = DELICIOUS

My friend had a veggie sandwich and she loved it.

I will definitely come back to this location since it's the closest one to my house [I think]. Can't wait for more Cheese Course.

If you love cheese and hate money, this is the place for you! This place has fantastic sandwiches, several well-designed cheese plates (complete with accompaniments and add-on blue cheese and meat options), and it's a nice little cheese and gourmet shop to boot.

The only downsides to this place are its very small size and the prices. It's usually filled to overflowing, and while the service is an acceptable speed, the place still rarely has seating available around mealtimes or in the evening. Even with tables outside crowded too close together, there's still often no seating available. And the prices, well, you expect to pay a premium for quality items, especially perishable gourmet items, but the prices here are still too high.

If the prices were lower, I'd do all my cheese shopping there and get takeout meals a few times a week. If they had more seating, I'd eat in and probably bring people there more often.

As it is, we go less frequently, only take people that we know will be understanding about the wait, can't take large groups, and occasionally do takeout.

Now, the good stuff. The cheeses are fantastic, and the cheese plates (called "cheese courses") are available by country, giving you a sampling of that country's approach to different styles (fresh, hard, washed rind, etc.) or by flavor (mild, medium, strong). Their accompaniments, like varietal honey, cranberry-raspberry relish, and olive mix, are all very good and really round out the cheese courses into a complete meal. The baguettes they have here are good and you can buy them to go. The sandwiches they make with this french bread and excellent cheese are really terrific.

If you need a special jam, honey, or other accompaniment to your cheese, they have jars and jars of interesting looking things. They also have a number of wines and a whole bunch of cheese-related hardware (knives, cutting boards, raclette and fondue set ups).

I love the food at this place, both the prepared and takeaway stuff. Give it a try and I know you'll be going back as often as your wallet allows.

This place has been called a gold mine by my parents.
Personally, I think it is one of the most prosperous businesses in Weston, because every time I go there it is always packed. Always!

The quality of their products is top-notch, their bread is amazing (especially when it is fresh out of the oven), and the sandwiches will definitely kick your butt with their flavor explosions. Do yourself a favor and order  my favorite: The Applewood Bacon sandwich, that comes with Goat Gouda cheese, tomatoes, avocado, rosemary aioli, and greens, and it is warm...fantastically warm.

    Just go there.

One of the greatest things about the sunny Southwest Ranches of Broward County is that, chances are, you may be enjoying a meal or drink at one of the nicest places in South Florida and STILL be just steps away from where Publix fills their dumpsters. (not that I would consider going though their trash, they are my fave).

One such place is the Cheese Course in Weston. Tucked away on one of the side streets of an albeit cute but fabricated shopping center in Weston, the Cheese Course offers an escape from the $5 footlong which is sweeping the nation and Jared's waistline.

It's no coincidence that, last year, on the day I returned from a five week trip to Italy, I had a reunion with two of my dearest pals at Cheese Course. My body was conditioned to fresh bread, fresh meat and that air of "simplicity with depth" that the culinary cores of Europe subscribe to. That was fancy talk for, mmm prosciutto on fresh crusty bread. Ain't gonna get that at Subway.

The Cheese Course offers quality ingredients in both their sandwiches and salads, and an interesting array of canned and bottled imported drinks. There are a few outside tables and if you are lucky enough to snag one, you'll have a great experience.

Stick to the staple ingredients...imported meats, good salty cheese, and simple greens, and you'll have a simple but deep meal. If you're into micromanaging an experience, go around 30 minutes before sunset. When you're west of 75, even a shopping center looks beautiful at that time of day.

I am not a Floridian. I am a stuck-up native New Yorker living in Weston. Please do not judge me.

Ok- now that that's out in the open..

This little place is really the only place I kinda sorta love- except for Jamba Juice - in the lovely, yet suburbanly latin-stepford-wifey land of Weston. It's a great spot to get a lovely little sandwich and sit outside at a tiny table and people watch. Or in Weston's case -it's more like fancy-car and cosmetic-surgery-watch. ("oooh, look- what a nice botox!...")

You can get a hunk of very good cheese and sopressata to take home, of course, and it's a great sandwich place for us locals. There was a great little wine bar/shop nearby that was my usual second stop after shopping here, but it moved. Oh well. What we really need is a little latin coffee joint. There is Starbucks right next door -- but of course.

As far as lunch goes -The Spanish serrano ham with manchego sandwich is really good. The black olive tapenade makes it. There is a chicken breast combo that is stellar, and some very nice salads. Actually, there isn't a bad tasting thing in the place. From the jars of apple blueberry butter or infused olive oils you can buy to the oatmeal cookies they sell by the register. It's a festival of yum in this little place!

It's pricey - $9 for a sandwich- but it's Weston. Hard to get a bargain.

Worth a stop on your way to the Sawgrass Mall or your neighborhood plastic surgeon.

The love affair I have with The Cheese Course continues as I made my way to the Weston location, which by the way is by far is the largest as compared to the downtown Miami and  Gulfstream sister stores. Any by love affair, I mean that I literally lie awake at night dreaming of their scrumptious sandwiches entering my belly. Oh, yes.

It seems as though regardless of how large they make this place, it's just always packed. Rightfully so I might add. Never mind though because once you order, all is right in the world.

If the concept of The Cheese course is new to you, then don't be alarmed. It's not all cheese sampling as you can order sandwiches, salads and soups as well.

Before I go any further, here's my quick synopsis. Awesome sandwiches (go with number 9! though anything you get is bound to be good), very friendly staff and service and a huge cheese selection.

Now for the important stuff. Heed my advice for I shall not steer you wrong.

    1. Go with a group of friends (this is important here). Gather some girlfriends/boyfriends whatever - Anywhere from 3-5 is perfect.

    2. Have each person order a sandwich and ask to cut into quarters, not halves.

    3. Receive the sandwiches and trade pieces with each person. If this works out perfectly, you should have a piece of your sandwich and a piece of all the others!

    4. NOM NOM NOM.

End result: you get to taste a bit of everything! If you're like me, this will leave your head spinning, tummy totally satisfied and a carb-loving monkey on your shoulder happy.

I was taken here for my birthday back in August.  This place is great.   We grabbed a sandwich and a salad there.  I got a ham and swiss sandwich on a baguette along with a Greek salad, they were delicious.  I vowed that every time we go there to order the next item down on the menu to make sure I try everything.

After we ate, we looked around to see what cheeses they offered.  I am a huge cheese fan, so I was in heaven.  It was a Saturday so they had vendors there giving out tasters of different wine and cheese.  They had the best bleu cheese.  It was very mild, wasn't overwhelming at all.  So we bought a block of it with some crackers.  We grabbed a bottle of Cannonball wine which was suggested by the vendor to go well with the cheese.  The whole thing set us back about $50.00 but it was good.

The store is a bit on the smaller side, however they have a lot to choose from.   The sitting area to eat is also very cramped, so your best bet is to sit outside on the patio to ensure you have enough space to stay comfortable.

As a Weston native, there are few of us qualified to truly rate the Cheese Course.  Located in "downtown Weston", the Cheese Course has grown to become an institution as Weston's best kept secret (gastronomically speaking!).

Having been going to this establishment faithfully for the past six to seven years, this place never seems to fail! From the sandwiches to the salads, from the wine and cheese selections, and, of course, to the quiche, everything is very tasty and fresh.

The sandwiches all feature one type of cheese paired exquisitely with the appropriate trimmings. My favorite is the Prosciutto di Parma on whole-wheat baguette with French Field Greens. I also recommend trying the quiche, which my good friend accurately described as comfort food.

Seating may be a bit limited, but do grab a table outside with some pals in order to watch the Weston crowd stroll by!

I give four stars to places that I would quickly reccommend to friends and that I would go back in a heart beat.  This is one of those places.  I was shocked to find a place like this in Weston.  I guess I'm a bit jaded to strip malls having bland and overpriced food..... especially in Florida.  But this place is great.  We split two sandwiches and a cheese plate.  Everything we ate was awesome.  We definately left hoping that there was a Cheese Course close to our home.

This place used to be one of my favorites in Weston for a quick bite to eat, some good cheese and very reasonable house wine prices.  Also, the bread that you can takeout is tasty!

But.... (and here comes the but) .. the hours really, really suck.
I don't understand how this place can close at 9 pm during the week.. many of the professionals I see milling around outside (myself included) have to debate the late snack/dinner after work, cramming it in before the closing, or else just have to skip it altogether.

The problem is that if you are inside eating and the bell tolls 9 pm, they start stacking up the chairs, tables and pressuring you to leave.  Last time that happened to me (and it's happend about 5 times, I guess) .. I almost had enough.

Ok, obviously it is in the Weston Town Center and the proprietors probably have better things to do.  But, please think about your customers!

    The food:

cheese plates / courses / selection:  AWESOME.  No problem voting for them for a take-out or for their nice selections.

dishes / sandwiches:  VERY GOOD.  Highly recommend the tuna sandwich, the chicken/sundried tomatoes / heck, pretty much everything on the menu!

appetizers / sides to go with the wine/cheese:  GREAT!  I recommend the chutney, the olives, again.. pretty much everything is nice.

Great house wine - I recall $13 for a bottle.  woo hoo

Cheese Course:  change your hours and you'll probably get even more business.

This place had me wishing I could grow a second stomach so I could keep eating. Arrived here on a friday night so it was a little busy with the dinner crowd. They had a lady offering samples of wine/crackers and cheese. The menu is plastered on the wall and includes a detailed description of the ingredients in the meal.

I ordered the prosciutto sandwich which contained mozzarella and pesto. I also ordered the greek salad with feta cheese. For it being busy it took only 10 minutes for the meal to come out. They call your name so if you're sitting outside you have to keep an ear out.
The sandwich was served on a baguette and was perfect. The salad was served with a slab of feta cheese on top of the leaves. It was great because you could crumble it any way you wanted in the salad. The sandwiches aren't huge but are surprisingly filling. This place is definitely worth driving up to Weston for!

This is one of the best sandwich shops in South Florida! They have a delicious meats and incredible combinations of ingredients! My favorite (although I have only tried 2 of the sandwiches) is the grilled chicken with fontina cheese, and the basil pesto and rosemary aoili is amazing!

The second sandwich I've tried is pastrami with mozzarella and pesto which was just as good, but the meat was a little too salty for me (so next time I want to try it with the prosciutto. Overall it's a very adorable little shop full of wines, cheeses, sandwiches, cupcakes, and salads! A must go for something totally different! Sometimes the cashiers can be a little attitude-y but sometimes they're fairly nice. It's worth the food though

My first time going, had the chicken breast with fontina cheese sandwich and it was delicious! The bread was fresh and soft, the cheese however seemed to have migrated to one half of my sandwich. I got my sandwich to-go, and didn't have much of a place to stand, this place is the size of my living room-honestly. All the imported cheeses and other products were pretty cool to look at though. I'll definitely be back.

Though I am not a fan of wine, I do love cheese. Thanks to The Cheese Course I have fallen in love with Gruyere and Primadonna cheese. This place is very quaint and a great place for a delicious lunch or to pick up food to take home.

One of my favorite things from this place is the jar of fresh Banana Chutney they sell. It was out on display and one taste and I fell in love.

My favorite item from their huge menu is the Greek Salad. They give you this HUGE chunk of Feta Cheese that isn't too strong, just perfect. The staff is always helpful and know what cheese goes with what so don't be afraid to ask them.

Just note that on the weekends it gets packed with families and is blocked with strollers so I recommend going during the week.

I come here so often I figured I should finally at least rate the Cheese Course!

LOVE IT!!!!  I only knock off a star b/c my wallet takes a hit whenever I splurge on some nice imported cheese.

Salads and sandwiches are massive and very good.  I get two meals out of each salad and each sandwich.  So far, everything I've tried on the menu (about 10 different things) has been excellent.  So, it's probably fair to assume that pretty much everything is good here!

Great customer service and fast food production in the back, I'm always out of here in about 5 minutes with takeout.

Cheese selection is superb, I've even seen a favorite Northern California select cheese of mine brought in one time....samples in the back are nice.  I've been able to try many new cheeses due to these sample plates!

    Keep it up Cheese Course!!

Went here last night for a bite to eat.  We hadn't been here in a long time and I had forgotten how wonderful this place is for great sandwiches and delicous cheeses.  We had the three cheese course with Brie/Manchego and, my favorite cheese ever, Parmeggiano-Reggiano. It comes with the cheese, of course, sliced baguette and your choice of sides which we got the cranberry/raspberry chutney...mmmmmm and some fresh grapes. WOW!!! it was delicious.  Hubby got the soppresatt salami sandwich with provolone cheese, tomatoes, black olive tapanade, olive oil and balsamic vinegar...mmmm, it was very tasty and delicious.  I got the proscioutto de parma sandwich on wheat with mozzarella, tomato, fresh basil, basil pesto, olive oil and balsamic vinegar....MMMMMM...soooo tasty and, of course, two glasses of Cabernet to wash it all down.

Food is very good and tasty and the girl at the register, so sorry I don't remember her name, had a great attitude and a wonderful smile.  Looking forward to many other quick dinners or great lunches with friends at The Cheese Course.

No question about it, this is a GREAT sandwich and cheese shop. The flavor of their sandwiches does a number on the taste buds. Incredibly fresh and delicious.

This has got to be westons claim to fame! The only reason I gave it four stars is because of how small the place is I'm always squeezing to get in line and there is nowhere to sit the majority of the time. I always get the #13 but I hope to try one of their quiches one day.

It's with a heavy heart that I am taking away a couple of stars from this normally awesome place. So many new faces in there seem to not have a memory of what this place is or what it can continue to be. (Can it be the inexperience and lack of insight of youth?) I think in this economy a wise thing can be the hiring of those that have a bit more of life experience, but I digress. The loss of a couple of stars has to do with a lack of consistency. I have been uneasy lately of going there because I did not know what I was going to get. The idea of what they have on the menu is fabulous! It is the quality that you get that can be very good or very very bad. A wiser management will also train their employees to probably not argue with the customer but address their concern, especially one that has been a frequent customer for quite a few years. I am not saying the customer is always right but a wiser staff might recognize a few of us really know how good you can be so don't degrade yourselves with your lack of concern.  Check the quality of the bread, be a little bit more attentive....to the customer, better music please, Good luck Cheese Course, really. You may have lost a couple of us

Cheese, cheese and more cheese. Then wine, wine and more wine. One of my hangouts in Weston. First they have cheeses from all over the world and are very educated on explaining them to you. Sometimes I would just say give me the three cheese platter and I am looking for something that is mild, creamy, slighlty salty, etc... and boom they would give me three different cheeses to try. At night on the weekends they are open a little later, and have cute little tables outside where you can enjoy a nice bottle of reasonably priced wine and some cold cuts, cheese, olives, pesto sauce is delicious.
Being a huge sandwich fan, this place makes good quality sandwiches on freshly baked baquettes, with good parma proscuitto, or anything else you want. Another favorie is the chicken sandwich with monterey jack cheese, lettuce and fresh pesto, warm and delightful.
Panfiore on Alton Rd. is pretty darn close but I still love the cheese course. It is great to run in and order platters for parties.
Their prices are slightly high for sandwiches and cheese but worth it.
Also ofer salads that are good.
The most exciting part is they are opening soon in the Midtwon area here in Miami.....woo hoo...so happy!!!
I will be theren on the first day of opening to get my fix!!!
Be patient, they do make per order so it does take a little time to get your order..hence not five stars...but you can order ahead and pick up....many times have done this....well worth giving them a try....
Midtown can't wait for new location to open...very soon.....will update.....
You can get a sandwich and drink for about $11-12 unless you have a glass of wine of course then more.

used a groupon for catering menu for memorial day. ordered sandwich platter and spanish greens salad.  got a selection of three cold sandwiches and they were great. i think the meatless one was a bit soggy as they must have had it ready a bit early. didnt keep very well but tasted good. the salad was really just the best. dressing and oranges make the whole thing. cheese course is expensive and i only got the two things with my $100 groupon. if you are having a large party plan on spending alot more. love love the atmosphere here at cheese course but they could use a abit more room in my opinion. today..memorial day..there were people planting flowers and revamping the front stoop. not sure if this was the best day to do this but.....it will look nice. weather is too hot now to even think about eating outside.

Wow! It reminds me of soho, tiny French restaurant/sandwicherie but full of life and flavor, and cheese! They have great salads, and their sandwiches are divine! My favorite of all sandwiches,  prosciutto with fresh mozzarella... It's like a tiny vacation... You should check out their variety of exotic jams and meats, and other gourmet items. It gets crowed, but their waiting area isn't so bad when they have platters of samplers within your reach! I  always grab a baguette or two- all I need now is a bike with a basket in the front... I know...I need a vacation bad, haha!
