This inn right off Commercial Street in P-Town has a wonderful, homey atmosphere and a better-than-average selection of movies. You know how usually if an inn has movies they're like a somnambulist picked them out from the remains of 100 yard sales? I'm not gonna say this is all that different, but the guy got lucky. And he has a thing for Brad Pitt. A thing serious enough to actually buy Seven Years in Tibet. (No Brad Pitt crush is bad enough, however, to buy Meet Joe Black.) Our host Angus made a great quiche for breakfast. The wifi connection was a bit spotty, but hell, it's free. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the courtyard it opened onto was beautiful.
And it's here, at the Carriage House, that I learned what straight guys should not do in P-Town. I've been talking throughout my reviews of P-Town about how it's not an unfriendly place at all toward breeders, and how you'll get along just fine as long as you're not a raging homophobe yourself, but there is a line - a level of comfort that you should not cross. And because I am a fantastic guy who reviews things, and I care about you, some dude who is reading this review and considering visiting P-Town yourself, I will tell you what that is. Ready? Here it is: if you get back to your inn late at night and decide that you and your breeder wife should go hang out in the hot tub and drink a bottle of wine, and when you get there you find a single guy already in the hot tub, that is the line. You should not get in that hot tub. Because the guy will take it as a possible sign that you and your breeder wife are into swinging, and he will attempt to play footsie with you under the water, and you will find out, belatedly, that he is naked. And it will be awkward.

We had a wonderful visit here last week and loved the hospitality and warmth of the folks at The Carriage House. I don't consider homemade Belgian waffles, etc. to be Costco's strength - so not sure what the previous reviewer had for breakfast. We loved it all - and the extras that are available all day were a bonus, including the extensive video collection. Angus was a helpful host and we enjoyed our conversations with Ken as well. The room was lovely as was the privacy of our own "sun" deck. Had it not rained the entire time, it would have been a perfect stay!
