I had an amazing breakfast at the Bunnery! I was in Jackson for business, and the Bunnery was the perfect warm up on a cold winter morning. I had the cinnamon raisin french toast and a side of bacon.  Everything came out hot and delicious.  They have a huge menu that covers pretty much anything you could want for breakfast.  They have omelets, combo plates, pancakes, french toast, oatmeal/granola, etc.  You will easily find something to like. In addition to perfect, rich, brewed coffee, they also have a full menu of espresso and latte drinks.  Service was decent, but the quality of the food is why I'm giving the Bunnery 5 stars.  I will certainly be back next time I find myself in Jackson!

I tried their huevos rancheros and it was ok. They do have a good selection of breakfast items to choose from though. I will be back soon to try the spinach omelette or chilliquillas. Coffee was strong, how I like it. My waitress was very nice but busy withthe great crowd present. I didn't have long to wait since I went solo. Also had a chocolate pecan pie to go that was very good. Soft filling and flaky crust. Better than the breakfast and I can have breakfast all day long.

Took me a bit to find this place. There's a walkway that leads you deeper inside. Not really curbside. Fyi

Maybe my expectations were out of whack after waiting in a line snaking all the way to the street, but in my opinion this place is severely over-hyped.  Breakfast is fine - The menu is standard, food comes out hot and fast, and entrees are priced at around $10/person.

I wanted to love The Bunnery's baked goods, but they turned out to be nothing special.  The OSM bread had the flavor and texture of soft white bread.  I was expecting a thick, chewy slice of something hearty and grainy, but this definitely wasn't it.

The croissants were essentially just brioche - rich, pale, buttery bread in a croissant shape.  They were not flaky or crispy at all like a true croissant should be.

I do highly recommend their Huevos Rancheros - Two poached eggs with black beans & shredded cheese over toasted tortillas, served with hash browns, salsa, sour cream, & guac.  Yum!  The hash browns were crispy and the salsa & guac were super fresh and flavorful.

Skip the coffee - it is the epitome of bitterness - and instead opt for a latte or cappuccino for less than a dollar more.

The Bunnery is a solid choice for breakfast, but definitely not worth the hype... or the wait.

Good solid breakfast joint.  The service is friendly and generous.  The food is good.  Not out of this world, but better than fast food.  I had biscuits and gravy, and I am tough to please.  Sausage was okay, gravy tasted good, not overly thick. The biscuits, while tasty, were not flaky.  The hashbrowns were merely average.  My husband had the wheat French toast and liked it.

As I said, solidly good breakfast, but just not the best I ever had.

The food at bunnery was average and decent. I was there for breakfast and ordered the guacamole omelette which is guacamole , as expected and other veggies of the sort...mushrooms and tomatoes. The taste? Well, just imagine guacamole and eggs. The item that stood out of the meal was the homemade bread called "OSM" bread....oats, sunflower seeds, and millet. It was considered to be world famous. It was pretty good too. When you eat other multi grain bread the grains aren't ground small enough so you either break your teeth or spend time trying to digest/chew barley.  When you get a chance try it. With butter. Fried. :)
This place would be considered a ma and pa shop with  a knack for cooking. Nothing too fancy just regular food. Oh yeah, beware of yuppies who order irish coffee at 10am. They don't even serve hard liquor! Its a family restaurant!! Geez!

Wow this place is really great--a real gem.  Amazing breakfast food.  Easily one of the better breakfast burritos I have ever had.  Everyone in my group enjoyed their food as well.  Baked goods looked really great .  The cinnamon bun I had was solid. Gets fairly busy on the weekend, but the wait wasn't more than 10 minutes for a group of 7.

    Go breakfast burrito--can't lose.

Food is Jackson is expensive and most likely going to be mediocre everywhere you go. The Bunnery is no exception, although it does provide a little more fame--Rachel Ray has graced this eatery with her presence.

I went with a few friends and stuffed myself silly. It ended up being pricey for a simple breakfast and sandwich lunch. The place was packed like cattle in a barn, and everyone was just super excited to eat at the good ol' Bunnery. That being said, the service was definitely slow. Furthermore, the food was slow to come out.

We ordered 7 plates between the 4 of us. Clearly our eyes were bigger than our stomachs.

Perfect Protein (eggs): The Gros Ventre was nearing terrible. It was watery at the bottom, bland, and it was just a poor dish overall. The Glory was OK, but the swiss was clumped up, and the mushrooms were a bit on the raw side.

Sugared carbohydrates: The pancakes were soft and fluffy. Ditto for the belgian waffle. The French toast was OK.

Salty carbs: The grilled cheese was executed well, but it was way too small to merit the $10 price tag. The biscuits and gravy was probably the most successful dish, all things taken into account. The biscuits were denser than most, but the sausage gravy was certainly creamy and savory.

Red: The chili was very mediocre. It was not spicy, it was too bean-laden, and it just did not possess any complexity whatsoever.

After it was all said and done and eaten... I guess hunger makes any meal taste acceptable. Bunnery appears to be the hot spot for brunch in Jackson, but I found it to be quite overrated. The OSM is actually quite tasty, though.

Very disappointing.  Everyone at our table had "The Regular": two eggs any style, bacon or sausage, hash browns, and toast.  The eggs were fine.  The bacon was very fatty and not crisp.  The hash browns were brown on top, but the rest of the pile of hash browns was undercooked (and not brown at all).

Finally, I had a slice of the "homemade" apple pie.  It was actually *disgusting.*  They clearly made it by dumping mediocre canned apple filling into a mediocre pie crust and undercooking the whole affair.  I saw a verrrry slight brown speckling, but there was not even a hint of cinnamon.  I couldn't eat any of it--not the filling, not the crust.  I don't understand how they can advertise this as "homemade."

The service was poor.  The three people I was with each ordered a Coke, and I ordered a glass of water.  The waitress brought all three Cokes and did not bring my water, and she did not bring my water.  I had to hail a busboy to ask for a glass of water.  He brought us four empty plastic cups, still wet from the dishwasher, and one of them had old food in it.  He brought a small pitcher of water that didn't have enough water for all four of us.

When another waitress brought us our food, she didn't know who was supposed to get each plate of food.  Because we had all ordered the same dish but we had each ordered the eggs cooked differently, it would have been simple if the waitress had just told us which eggs were on each plate.  But instead she said, "The Regular?"  We looked at each other.  Then she said, "Eggs over medium?"--but she was actually holding the plate with the eggs over easy, so there was some confusion and switching of plates.

There are free soda refills, but there were no servers anywhere around even after all three of my friends had finished their drinks.

Bottom line: mediocre food, mediocre to low service.

Saw an advertisement for this place in a Jackson Hole eating guide. Supposedly they have been on Food Network and Bon Appetite so we thought we would give it a try. We just ordered some of their pastries to go and man were we satisfied. The coffee cake was hands down the best coffee cake i have ever had. it was absolutely incredible. Had so many delicious crumbles and the cake part was so soft it was almost gooey (in a really good way)

My brother got the strawberry and cream croissant. He shoveled it down before I had the chance to try it but I think that just goes to show how much he liked it.

Definitely a well worth stop in Jackson Hole if you're sweet tooth starts acting up!

After reading all the reviews I am glad we were in Jackson in the off season. I think we would have been totally sad if we had waited forever to enter the Bunnery and then received average service and average breakfast fare at Jackson Hole prices.  My hubby loved the OSM pancakes, he choose right. I went with Eggs Benedict and wasn't fond of having to choose fried, not poached, eggs. My dish was smothered in luke warm Hollandaise and my hashed browns weren't toasty and cooked well through.  The highlight was nibbling some of my hubby's pancake and the huge cup of hot chocolate that warmed me up on a very cold Jackson Hole morning.  Personally, I'd rather grab an artisan bagel on Pearl Street!  Sorry Bunnery, you just weren't all that.

We ended up eating at The Bunnery twice during our 4 day stay in Jackson. If I had written my review after the first visit, it would be a 3 star review. Better service on our second visit is why I bumped The Bunnery up a star.

On visit number one, I went with the regular breakfast, which is 2 eggs with hashbrowns, meat of your choice and toast. The OSM toast (oats, sunflower and millet) was the highlight of this basic breakfast. Otherwise, it was pretty basic, nothing to write home about... Our waitress didn't seem particularly pleasant or helpful, but she did an ok job.

On visit number two, I decided to change it up a bit, and I went with the  cinnamon raisin french toast. This was a good choice, The Bunnery's claim to fame is clearly the baked goods and this was some of the best french toast I have ever had. I also noticed a sign indicating that there was a full bar this visit, the sign wasn't on the table we sat at the first time. I paired my french toast with a mimosa made with fresh squeezed OJ, yum! Our waitress this visit was sweet and efficient.

The Bunnery is worth a visit (or two!) because of the great baked goods. Otherwise, it;s just A-OK.

I miss the Bunnery. I was in JH last week for vacation and was fortunate to eat about 5 cinnamon rolls while on vacation.  OMG they were soooo good.  What made them good? The bread, the bread was crafted with butter and still flakey. Not some white dinner roll dripping with icing and cinnamon. If I ever return to JH, I will be parytying at the bunnery.

Ate here twice with my co-worker during a visit to Jackson Hole. We loved walking from our Hotel, the Wort, through the snowy streets early in the morning to eat at this cute little restaurant. The restaurant is really cute, and feels just right for a small ski-town. The menu also seemed just right--a good mix of hearty breakfast meals, bakery items, and lighter healthy options. My co-worker stuck with the healthier items, and I really went for the hearty plates...I told myself that I needed to keep my energy up to slog through the snow....right?

I had a croissant sandwich with egg, cheese, and a sausage patty. The croissant was a bit thick, and not very light and flaky, but overall the taste was great and just what I was looking for. The second morning I had the Cowboy Benedict, which was super naughty--two homemade biscuits (also a bit thick and not flaky), sausage patties, two fried eggs, smothered in sausage gravy....can you even believe this? I feel guilty just writing about it! The sausage gravy was good, and didn't even need any salt. It had big chunks of sausage in it, and tasted really homemade. I can proudly say that I didn't eat all of it, but that was through sheer will, not because I didn't want to.

Since they were known for their bakery, we got a piece of cherry pie to go. I liked it, but I haven't met a pie I haven't met. I think the crust was technically a bit thick, and not flaky enough. I think there is a trend here...all the bakery items that were supposed to be flaky and light were not, and that's kind of disappointing.

They have a Check-In special--30% off Starbucks purchase, so that's pretty cool.

Also, if you fill out the little card they give you with your friends names and emails for The Bunnery mailing list, they'll give you a bag of their homemade granola. It is completely acceptable to sell your friends contact information for free granola!

(Day 11 (June 28, 2011) of our Pasadena City College field trip brought us to Jackson Hole.) This is my third time that I've been here and it's my favorite bakery in Jackson. This place is also a sit down restaurant that serves breakfast. I've only ordered their baked goods and have never sit down to eat inside. This morning I order a Ham & Swiss croissant and my brother Chris ordered the Spinach & Swiss Croissant. Both were excellent. The croissant was nice and flaky. On my last two visits I ordered a blueberry bran muffin, nice and moist and their apple pie. One of the professors order a whole "Very Berry Pie" (combo of strawberries, blueberries and raspberries). We ate this pie in camp the next day for desert after we BBQ'ed elk burgers. Nothing like having a great pie while your camping.

First of all, food in Jackson is on the pricy side. I got off to a bad start after standing in the wait line behind another couple on vacation. We were ignored for more than l5 minutes. There were vacant tables and various employees paraded back and fourth without acknowledging our existence. Finally, the lady got fed up and went off to find someone to seat us. That server seated her group, but did not come back for me. After another wait, I set off to find an employee to seat me. Maybe they figure most people are tourist and won't be back again any time soon.

I ordered a sandwich and coleslaw. The slaw, potato chips, and maybe fries were choices to go with the sandwich. Although it was early afternoon, there was no slaw. The server said I could get a small side garden salad. What she neglected to say is that it would cost extra.
I didn't care for the sandwich, which was probably my fault because it was something a little different. The Kaiser roll it was served on was one of the best I've ever eaten. Eating outside on the patio on a 70 degree day was pleasant and relaxing. Having the next table so close to mine and being able to hear every word of their conversation was less pleasant.

The good tea, tasty bread made up for SOME of the lapses.

Overall, a disappointing experience. I think some of these restaurants in resort destinations sit back on their laurels and neglect to keep up with what's happening on a daily basis.

Best huevos rancheros I've had since Austin. Joe had the lightest quiche he's ever had. They were even willing to work with me making iced coffee.

So maybe I had too high expectations, or maybe this place just doesn't rock in the off-season, but our drop-in visit here left a lot to be desired.
It was May and we strolled in after lunch to get a pastry and pie to find the door open, but not a person to be found. Absolutely no staff behind the counter. After a good 10 minutes and contemplating whether we should just cut ourselves a piece of the pie on the counter and jet, a teenager comes around from the bathroom, texting en suite, and asks what we would like. We got a slice of pie and lemon bar to go. The pie was meh and the lemon bar was still half frozen.
This place be off the hook for Rachel Ray, but I wouldn't feel guilty skipping it the next time I'm in Jackson.

Great patio seating, and quick considering how popular this place is.
We shared a breakfast  of the Lox Scramble and OSM pancakes with added blueberries.  Both were tasty and satisfying.  We aren't fans of Starbucks coffee, and that's what they serve here. We grabbed a couple of Chocolate Cheesecake Muffins (mmmph!) to go when we paid our bill.

A few days later we were back for more tempting pastry items.

There was  a long line at the pastry counter when I got there mid-morning on my second visit,   but this gave me time to choose my order. If I had my druthers I'd 've kept it simple with "one of everything, por favor" but not such a good choice for my butt.

    Here's what I settled on:
Almond Stick-big as my foot--flakey and crispy with a chewy center.
Chocolate Croissant--not enough chocolate, crunchy like a puff pastry, not soft and chewy like a croissant.  (you know the ones they made in the movie "It's Complicated"?--those are the ones I want)
Chocolate Cheesecake muffins--got 3, need I say more?
7 layer bar--lots of almonds, not so much chocolate. Good with not-Starbucks coffee.
    Spinach Cheese Croissant-not enough spinach.

The line to pay in the bakery section could use some work.  People paying for their meal get put in the same line up as people buying pastries,  why make the restaurant patrons wait?  This didn't sit well with the moody, whiney lady who came in after me and weaseled her way up to pay before me.  Any other time I might have stepped up and voiced out, but I couldn't seem to shake my pastry fantasy induced daze.

We came here for breakfast and loved the food.  The homemade granola and breakfast burrito were excellent.  The service, however, is terrible.  They have free coffee refills, but don't expect to get one.  It took 15 minutes for the waitress to reappear at our table, asking if we want refills. Why they don't leave the coffee thermos at your table like many other places do is a mystery.

The other disappointment is the bakery.  Now don't get me wrong, the pastries are really, really good.  However, if you order them to go, they wrap it in plastic.   No big deal right?  Well this particular plastic smells like a donkey's ass.  The smell was so bad that I couldn't get past it and ended up throwing all 3 of my pastries out later that day.  Me thinks it's time to change plastic wrap vendors!

Basically, go here for breakfast, don't expect coffee refills and do not order pastries to go.

I'm giving this place two stars ONLY because it had a decent BLT.

Service was horrid. We waited 20+ minutes for a grilled cheese sandwich and a BLT. Both arrived cold. The people at the next table left because they ordered at the same time as us and were still waiting when we were finished.  Desserts were mediocre at best.

Was 2 peps in for breakfast 1) Regular Breakfast eggs oe 2) Steak and eggs oe. It was cold and snowy this morning the featured is Starbucks "bottomless Cups" Eggs were cooked to order the steak was a bit done from MED, but a very well seasoned and tender cut.  Toast made from freash made bread witlh real butter. Pleanty of seating room, rustic lodge decor very toasty warm inside.  The waitress was very nice and a very hard worker.

I did not try the fresh made cakes, pies, tarts and other deserts, In all honesty if I had ordered deserts as well.  I would have rated a 5, a little hard to do just ordering a limitted Breakfast.  I will recomend this place for Coffee only.

What a delightful alternative to the usual coffee houses, etc.!  The apple turnover was, hands down, the BEST I've ever had.  These pastry chefs know their stuff!  Flaky and flavorful - don't need to wash it down but the coffee and tea is great also, so - why not ... ?

We bought many items for the trip home and didn't eat the last turnover until a day later - we kept it in the brown paper bag as recommended and it was still excellent!

My only regret is that we live about 900 miles away in California...!

Stopped in Jackson on our way home from Teton Village.  We were recommended to the Bunnery by the Wort/Silver Dollar hostess which were not serving breakfast when we were looking.

It was a June Sunday morning at about 11:30 am, and the wait to get in was not too bad, approx 20 minutes.

We sat in the patio area, and it was obviously quite busy.  It took about 15 minutes to have Lucy come by to take our order, however she was apologetic and it really didn't matter as we were on a relaxed schedule.

Our orders were the breakfast burrito, bacon omelette, pancakes, and "grow vont" broiled skillet.  The breakfast burrito was good and flavorful. My teenage son said the pancakes were undercooked and flavorless.  My skillet was tasty but not outstanding.  My wife's omelette filling was obviously undercooked, as the cheese inside the eggs was not melted.  Her hashed browns were also not brown, but rather pale undercooked white.

My suspicion is that given the rush, the cooks have difficulty coordinating completion times for larger tables (we had 5 people), and thus varied quality of food.

Also of note was that when the check was delivered, it included a nicely printed form which I thought was going to be a feedback form, however was a form to collect your email address for their newsletter.  Why wouldn't they ask about dining comments?

Overall the service was good, and food below average.  I would not dine there again.

A nice breakfast place and bakery.  I'm partial to diner breakfasts and this is that type of place, only they have baked goods as well.

The portion size was perfect, I was a little disappointed at first, but any more food would've been too much food.  The homemade bread used for the toast was really good. The baked goods all looked delicious and could be a meal each.  I wish I could've tried them all!

The staff was very nice and attentive.  All in all it was a very nice breakfast and I wish I lived closer so I could go back.

If you've ever been to Jackson, WY, you've probably stopped into The Bunnery for a delicious and hearty breakfast. Usually we stop in before we head to the mountains, but we ran out of time and had to make a quick stop on the way to the airport. At least we were able to enjoy some great juice, eggs and their famous OSM - oatmeal, sunflower and millet mix (pancake, bread or waffles). I'm a waffle fan so that's what I ordered while Alyssa had an egg dish. I enjoy the OSM because it's not something I usually eat and I like the idea of all that nutrition. They also have great granola if you're into that. Anyway, The Bunnery is a Jackson institution, and if you want to try some of that OSM or granola goodness, check out their website to order online.

The Bunnery is a family style restaurant, oriented towards breakfast, but open all day.  They have a dozen outside tables on a nice patio under umbrellas, and then twice that many tables inside.

The restaurant has a standard menu: egg dishes, salads, sandwiches, burgers, with Tazo Tea and Starbucks Coffee, as well as local beers. They almost get four stars for the beer - Snake River Lager, Snake River Zonker Stout & Teton Ale, not bad.  As their name implies they have a large assortment of pastries and pies.  The waitress asked if we wanted pie twice.

If you are a Starbucks fan then this is one of the only Starbucks coffee sellers I've seen in Cody, Yellowstone, and Jackson Hole areas.  I don't care for Starbucks, but being from a place where there is one or two or three on every block I found it worth the mention.

I had Florentine Eggs - which are a scramble with spinach and Swiss.  They were good.  The toast was made with their own bread - and was *excellent*.  The hash browns were one step up from McDonalds - deep fried frozen potato brick - not great but okay for the quantity and crispness.

The biggest turnoff was the restaurant wasn't very clean and was a bit worn down, which made it feel a little more dirty than homey.  Not disgusting, but things like the patio had a slightly unpleasant odor of old food.  My wife said the bathroom was the same - heavily used and not kept fully clean and stocked.  The bathrooms were two single unisex johns right in the middle of the store - and there was a line for them with a couple grouchy people.

I would recommend this place otherwise - the service was fine, the food was okay to good, and the price was fair.

It is SO yummy! What I liked the most was that everything they make has a healthy touch so you feel good about eating. I had the Guac Omlet and it was delish. The toast they make, OSM, is yummy and hearty and they have Starbucks in house so I had a great latte.

We liked it so much we went back the next day and got take-out. I had the OSM french toast, which was good, but I would have liked the bread to be a little thicker cut and it would have been awesome had it come with fruit or something. Overall, this place rocks.

    O
    My
    GAWD

Stopped into Bunnery for lunch one day, and noticed their pie display. Yum, pie.

Once we finished lunch (it was fine, about what you'd expect from a lunch/dinner bakery, prices, service, all about average) I took a closer look at the pies and cookies and pastries.
Did I mention O My GAWD?!?!
My totally coffee addicted girlfriend got a cup of the Starbucks, and I picked up some sticky buns, a cookie, and a carmel apple pie. The fellow helping us was friendly and sure enough, helpful. He even loaded an extra sticky bun because the one I wanted was 'small'. Yea, right, small like a frickin planet.

Did I mention that pie is yummy, even when you are staying with like 10 other people?

The pie and pastries were so good, we went back to try more pies. And then we went back again. I think we ended up at the Bunnery 4 times in the 7 days we were in JH. In summary, F U Bunnery for adding like 3 inches to my waist. Why you got to be so frickin delicious?

What do you get when you cross a croissant with a pretzel? A croitzel? That's what they had on a tray marked "Butter Croissant." Rubbery on the outside, dry on the inside.

In case you can't imagine the sensation of biting into one of these... imagine your father-in-law, a balding, tightly rotund man, squeezed into a small bikini.

    That's right -- it's a crime against humanity.

Really wanted to like this place but it was not to be. With the restaurant nearly empty, we were seated right behind the bus station. Nice! Took 5 minutes for someone to come to the table to ask if we wanted coffee and then another couple for someone to actually bring the luke warm coffee. When we asked for hot coffee the staff quickly accommodated the request.

Wife had an omelet that was, again, luke warm and barely qualified as an omelet. Seemed like a thin layer of egg draped over a pile of mushrooms and other vegetables. My fried eggs over easy were crisp and over hard, very hard (but hot). Toast (sour dough) was warm and unbuttered. Both orders of hashbrowns (came with the orders) we hot and actually very good.

Drink refills were only by request and when my wife said she was done (after having taken but 2 or 3 bites, the waitress never inquired as to a possible problem.

This restaurant really had us wishing for a Denny's and we are not fans of Denny's!

Everyone who told us about The Bunnery raved about the pastries and breakfast, so we went for breakfast. It was a great experience, even with our 3 kids in tow. The food was great and reminded me of home cooking. The servers were friendly and helpful. I'll come here again next time I'm in town.

The locals we stayed with suggested this place to eat in Jackson.  I really wanted to give it 4 stars because the food was very good, but the service left something to be desired.  More on that in a bit.

It was our last morning in Wyoming and we needed to get some good food in us before a hike in the Grand Teton's.  The Bunnery was on our way there and as I said, it was recommended by locals.

The first guy came over to take our drink orders.  We didn't know he wasn't our server.  I ordered an apple juice and my friend ordered cranberry.  They do advertise as being the only place in Jackson with fresh squeezed OJ and grapefruit juice, but they were a bit on the pricey side and I've been burned too many times ordering "fresh squeezed" OJ only to get something that tasted like Tropicana, which to me isn't really OJ.  The drink server brought our juices, but brought my friend a fresh squeezed grapefruit juice instead of cranberry.  Mind you the fresh juice was a few dollars more.  Our proper server came over and we told her of the mistake.  Most restaurants would let you hold onto the mistake and bring you what you ordered.  Not the Bunnery.  She took the juice back and we were pretty sure she served it to another table.  Probably not, but that is the story I'm going with.

Anyway, onto breakfast.  I ordered a Grow Ventre Slide.  I think that is what it was called.  As I type this, it has been a few weeks since we were there.  This was an egg dish with cheese and veggies and possibly potatoes with sprouts on top.  I specifically asked for them to leave off the sour cream as I'm not a fan.  As soon as she left to put the order in I told my friend that there would be sour cream on my meal.  Sure enough I was right.  I'm sure I could have sent it back, but I scooped it off and I guess it wasn't a very big deal.  The meal was good and hearty and just what I needed to sustain me for the hike we had planned.

Food=good.  Service=meh.  This might be a good place to take your meal to go.

A thoroughly typical diner-y experience in just the place you need one, with above-average breakfast food.  There are signs outside indicating that in the height of ski season there might be a wait that needs organization like a TSA line, but over Thanksgiving weekend, it was quiet.

They have those nice thick, rounded, hyperbolic-shaped coffee mugs that diners have, and the coffee's good.  The service is friendly enough, if nothing exceptional.  The menu is deceptively deep, and the breakfast burrito i ordered was very tasty, once properly configured with the accompanying sour cream and salsa.

After a long week of drinking, hiking, and drinking, this was just the thing.

Ate breakfast here on a recent trip to Jackson. Really good food, plenty of it. Service excellent. Nice art work around the restaurant. Lunch menu looked good, too, but did not make it back. Pies in the case looked amazing! Located right off the square.

This is a great breakfast joint with excellent pastries and a wide variety of egg dishes.

First of all, they have the 'cowboy benedict' with biscuit, sausage, fried egg and smothered in gravy...to die for!  (Literally.  You should probably only eat this meal once in a lifetime, and the meal was definitely memorable)

The service is always good, even if the place is packed with gapers, and the coffee is fresh and STRONG!  In addition they have nice bathrooms for you to utilize, if coffee has the same effect on your bowels, as it does mine.

The meals are hearty and most are served with their fresh OSM bread, which is outstanding!  They have a huge pastry counter with all the goodies that you may need for second breakfast, including cookies and strawberry/cream cheese danish.

If you are still reading, and still looking for a great breakfast in Jackson, look no further than the Bunnery!

The Bunnery is a cute restaurant in downtown Jackson, WY with a bright and homey atmosphere, catering mostly to breakfast and lunch.  I don't think it's open for dinner.  Nonetheless, the place gets very busy, especially for breakfast.  The food was delicious and prepared fresh. They offer freshly squeezed orange juice (and I'm pretty sure it was in fact freshly squeezed). You can sit inside, but they also have a patio area which is nice to sit at if it's a beautiful day.

You might wonder why I gave them only three stars.  Well, quite simply, as many reviewers have said before me. The service left something to be desired. Yes, they were friendly, but once (I ate there twice) they were slow, and even forgot to check to see if my order was ready, after a couple who had ordered after me got their meal before I did.  Another time, they were just not checking on me.  After I received my food, the next time they showed up was to bring the check.  It's really a shame, because it's one of those unique restaurant places that you just want to like.

One more note, they also have Thomas Mangelsen photographic prints hanging on the walls.  And if you don't know who Thomas Mangelsen is, he is one of the most talented photographers around, based in Jackson Hole.  He has a gallery just down the street from The Bunnery.  It is definitely worth a visit (see separate review).

We ate breakfast here based on the recommendation of our server the previous night.  I ordered the Bacon Omelet and my husband had the regular (2 eggs, hash browns, toast, ham steak).  Both were delicious and served fairly quickly.  The omelet had what I felt was an excessive amount of bacon on it.  After eating the whole omelet I had almost a quarter cup of extra bacon still left on my plate.  Coffee was good but Starbucks.  This place goes through the trouble to make their own breads, fresh squeezed orange juice etc but they serve generic Starbucks coffee.  Most places in this area seem to serve specialty blend / local coffee and that would have been preferred.
