5 reviews for The Brookshire Inner Harbor Suite Hotel
The location and price were fantastic, with the Brookshire being way cheaper than other Inner Harbor hotels. We could see the Inner Harbor from our room, and the top of the warehouse at Camden Yards. Inner Harbor was a very quick walk from the front door.
There is a $10 fee called "Entertainment fee" which pays for the breakfast, bottles of water in the room, the shuttle to the other 2 hotels (Pier 5 and Admiral Fell) which runs all day until 10pm, and you can go to anything going on at the other 2 hotels.
We took the shuttle to Pier 5 more than once and had a walk around Little Italy, and also attended their Chocolate Fountain hour, which was on a Saturday afternoon. The shuttle also brought us to Admiral Fell, which is right in the middle of Fell's Point, so it was a great place to walk around and for nightlife.
The breakfast was alright, the eggs were a bit bland and probably powdered, the orange juice was gross, but there were 4 juices to choose from so cranberry saved me. All three mornings, breakfast was the same exact thing - eggs, french toast, bacon and sausage, as well as cereals, bread and some nice fruit.
Our floor's hallway reeked of smoke despite no smoking signs everywhere as well.
Overall, I would say it was decent, I would stay here again, the location is perfect and the shuttle is great to get to other areas worth visiting.

We booked this hotel the day before we wanted to stay there ... we got some last-minute Orioles tickets and wanted to stay at a hotel in the Inner Harbor area.
Pros:
* With a one-night stay in a king bed room, it came out to about $130 after tax, which was not too bad for a tourist area.
* You're a stone's throw away from the shops and restaurants in the Inner Harbor, and about a 10-minute walk from Camden Yards, so it's quite convenient.
Cons:
* They don't validate parking or provide a lot, so you need to find your own. We parked in a lot across the street ("The Gallery" for Renaissance Hotels, I think) and wound up paying over $40 for less than 24 hours of parking. They have valet which is about $27, I think (not sure if that includes a lot fee on top of that).
* Once we checked in, we were immediately charged an additional $10. I think that only included Internet in the room - which wasn't wireless, you needed to plug into an Ethernet cable - and two bottles of Poland Spring water.
* The room was quite small. We were also facing the street that looks out on the Inner Harbor, and there was construction going on for most of the night. That, paired with the regular traffic, made the room quite noisy for the duration of our stay.
* The air conditioner barely worked, which wasn't too pleasant on a muggy August night. Not very comfortable.
* The television was hard to operate and many channels were fuzzy.
* The breakfast the next day wasn't very good. The scrambled eggs tasted like the fake ones you get from McDonald's (maybe made from powdered eggs).
* The checkout line the next morning was long, because there was only one clerk at the front desk. Luckily someone else asked if we wanted to do "express checkout," which consisted of us just handing them the printout we'd gotten at check-in. They asked if there was a problem with the bill, we said no, and that was that. Good thing we didn't wait on that whole line for a five-second process.
I don't think we'd go back if we can help it. If you're in need of a quick hotel room near the Inner Harbor, and you're not picky, this place will probably do. It wouldn't be my first choice, though.
I stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago and was impressed by the very friendly staff here.
I flew in from LAX and my plane landed at 6 am. I got to the hotel at 7 am and they were able to get me into a room with early check in at no cost (which is great since it was 4 am my time and I was dead tired)
The have wine tasting every night and a full breakfast every morning for free. Also - Free WiFi and bottles of water. I cannot remember the last time I have stayed in a hotel that did not charge you $4 for the bottle of water they leave in your room.
Great prices - nice staff. I will stay here again.

I've stayed at this hotel now on two different occasions, it's a great location relative to the harbor and the convention center and it is not nearly as harmful on your pocketbook as most of the other hotels in the area. It's not uber-luxurious but it is a nice, solid, safe hotel with very professional and courteous staff.
They have valet parking but no front-entrance driveway, which can be a little dicey when loading/unloading from your car, as it means you just have to pull over to the curb. Definitely be careful there.
I stayed here with three friends...hmmm...had to be three years ago this coming October. We were most impressed , I think, with the pleasant, accomodating staff. We'd arrived from NYC earlier than check-in, but just as breakfast was being cleared; the staff not only hung onto our stuff, but arranged for the remains of the breakfast to be held (We were starving!).
Our wheelchair-accessible rooms were well-appointed, complete with mini-bars. The hotel's conveniently located within walking distance of most sights; we had no problems except for the rain one night. The neighborhood seems pleasant enough.
All in all, it was a pleasant enough experience that I'm strongly considering staying there again when I return to Charm City this summer.
