WOW. This place is top notch, we come here everytime we are in PR. They have fantastic weekly specials. Go in on Weds. for the best $10 churrasco (skirt steak) on the planet! Stiff drinks and very family friendly. I love this place because locals love it. It's owned by a super nice guy, originally from the States. He almost always comes by every guests table to say hello and ask about your meal. Now that's customer service!
5 stars all the way! -

I was at Rio Mar for a conference with family and we were looking for a place to take the kids. I didn't have high expectations, but this place was a great. It was a nice, casual mix of locals and tourists, from what I could tell.
The food was good, the drinks were cold and the staff was nice. Obviously they are doing things right because they've been in the same location for about 15 years, I think.
I'd definitely go back. -

OMG! Get the churrasco! Soooo good and the juiciest piece we had during our stay in PR. The peel n eat shrimp were good too. Open late night in what seems to be a sketchy neighborhood. Take caution and park near the establishments entrance because their parking lot is closed on the weekdays (from what we were told).

I like burgers. A lot. The chilli burger tied for first place for the best burger I've EVER eaten. It was topped with a not-too-spicy homemade chili. The bun was good and fresh, not massed produced. The meat was amazing. Meduim - just the way I like it. It was topped with a whole lotta cheddar cheese and a big ol plop of chili. The menu recommended you eat with a fork. I didn't mess around. I wasn't particularly hungry but once I had that first bite I never put the burger down - literally. The service was just fine but I did like that we got our food relatively quickly. Idk what it is about PR, but it seems like it takes FOREVER to get your food. Brass Cactus is casual. I went in my swimsuit (classy, I know) and a dress that was wet from waist down from kayaking. It was cold in there so I put on an xl shirt that Ryan had bought at Wal-Mart. Between that and eating our burgers in about 3 minutes flat we were a sight to behold. Best thing though - nobody cares what you look like there or what you are doing. I will be recommending this place to anybody I know that is visiting PR. It was my favorite meal of the trip.
