I bought my bf and I massages for our 5 year anniversary and we love daiva and laima! They're both friendly, but most of all professional and fantastic masseuses! Definitely took care of us from head to toe and always made sure we were comfortable. Their facility is clean and peaceful.
We will definitely be back! -

This is the perfect place to go for a great body, mind and soul restart. The two women that run the place are both great massagists. They do a great job of putting you in a very calming pleasant atmosphere for your thoughts and dreams to whisk you away while your body is getting all its kinks worked out!
I have to be honest...I am not the type of person that really likes to spend money on pampering myself so the fact that I come here every so often is a HUGE deal! They have such a great price for the value of their massages... I love it! And you will too! -

It's once in 1,000 massages that you find a therapist like Laima.
She delivered an incredibly detail-oriented deep tissue massage with what I can only describe as innovative techniques for reaching the deeper layers of fascia. There was not one weak moment. My neck, shoulders received exactly the right amount of attention and deep pressure without me having to say anything, because Laima has an empathetic touch and also because she listened and asked questions at the beginning of the treatment. Now, my neck in particular is relieved of one very hard knot thanks to the very penetrating treatment and great stretching.
I highly recommend Laima for people who need a real, professional massage with results. I'm very lucky to have found her, and will never have need of another therapist in Chicago. -

I went with my husband for the 90 minute massage + facial Groupon deal, and we were both very pleased with the massage and facial! The space is simple, but clean and inviting. The Swedish massage was very relaxing and professional, and a big perk was that the massage table was heated! Great for winter. Laima did a superfabulous job with the facial. My skin is challenging, and she really paid attention and did a fabulous job that my husband actually says it looks good! All around A+ experience and no problem whatsoever with using our Groupons.

I have had several massages, but the massage I had at The Body Work & Massage Source with Lima was the most relaxing I had ever had. I walked out feeling like I was floating. It is not a hyper-professional place, but it is extremely clean and more comfortable than any other place I have ever been too. The owner, who did my massage, and some of the other employees do have thick accents, but they are sweet and patient and super helpful. I was nervous about the wrap and the owner explained it to me and at the end of my massage we talked about how I could best manage my tension. She was very caring, professional without being stodgy, casual without being unprofessional, and gave an excellent massage.
Word to the wise, though: If you are the claustrophobic type skip the wrap! -

One word - AMAZING!!!!! I never went to a massage spa and walked out feeling as good and relaxed as I did at this place. I had the body wrap and massage deal. The body wrap was sooo calming that I actually fell completely asleep. The massage therapist really worked my muscles, took her time, and paid attention to every little detail.
The place is super clean and smells good.
Really, I cannot stop raving about this place. Just check it out for yourself. -

I can't in good conscience give this 5 stars since my visit started out very unsettling. I had called all day to confirm my appointment since no one called me to confirm. I know that if it's a small operation the therapist can't answer the phone when with a client so I chalked it up to that. However when I got there I was greeted by a woman with broken English that said I did not have an appointment. Then she said oh I did but I was late. Then she said oh, no...you're early. Which in fact I was. 10 minutes early in case I needed to fill out paperwork. Most establishments do this to CYA. This place did not.
When I was finally greeted by my MT (Laima) she was very sweet. She took me to my room and explained the body wrap procedure and gave me time to undress. I'd never had one before but it was part of a deal I bought online. Basically you get oiled up from head to toe, wrapped in special blankets and stuff and have heat lamps set on you for 20 minutes. While the first few minutes were quite relaxing (with the music and dim lights) 20 minutes later I was dying to get out of the cocoon I was in.
When she came back she unwrapped me layer by layer and covered me with a sheet to begin the massage. Since I was all oiled up it was nice in terms of fluidity because she never had to stop and get more oil. The massage itself was relaxing and more Swedish if anything. I did mention some problem area's I had and thought she'd spend time on them (but didn't).
I would have to say be very comfortable being very naked around your MT if you go since you have to be unless you want your clothes ruined. Since I'm a former MT myself I don't care. But if this was your first time be forewarned.
After the massage I was offered water and they sell a line of herbal tinctures that intrigued me. The had an open bottle of the green tea when I came in that I like so I asked about the chamomile & passionflower tranquility blend. They didn't have one open to try and she was kind enough to open one. It was so wonderful that I went ahead and bought one. I'm sipping it now and it's lovely.
On my way out she gave me coupons for return visits that are totally awesome. Anyone that has massage as part of their wellness routine knows how expensive it can get. Well the coupon had a VIP package for 4 procedures for 89.99. It's a combination of massage and body wraps and facials, etc. There was also a coupon for 99.00 that allowed you 2 massages - 2 Facials- 1 of each. Not quite sure how that works, so I'd call ahead.
All in all it was a great little place to go for a nice relaxing day of pampering. -

This is by far the best spa experience I've had in Chicago! Sometimes the best things come in small packages and this is one of them. It's a small place, but it's pretty and cozy, and promotes a completely serene and relaxing environment. The beds are heated and so comfortable, zen-like music quietly drifts through the silence, and decor is clean, pretty and accommodating. You can't hear people in other rooms or the hallway like in other places. It has just what you need to feel pampered and relaxed...no more, no less. And the best part of the place is Laima...she is a true artist at her craft! By far, the best masseuse I've ever had. The most astounding thing about this place is their price structure! They make it so affordable to have the spa experience when you're trying to stay on a budget...worth much more than they charge. I just end up giving Laima a bigger tip! ;o)

I purchased a great deal for a massage and an aromatherapy wrap and I am so glad I did! Not only was it a great deal but this place blew me away!
Firstly, my masseuse was Daiva and she was so sweet and professional, she really made the experience even more relaxing!
The decor is relaxing and simple but as a whole very clean. I used the restroom and it was immaculately clean, as was the room my treatments were done in.
She did the wrap first that smelled amazing in almond and eucalyptus oil, then layered me in a heating blanket and several more sheets till I was a human cocoon. Then proceeded to give me a scalp massage (wonderful!)and then gently covered my eyes with a cloth to heighten the relaxation for 30 min. I definitely dozed off for awhile!
The massage was absolutely excellent, I have gotten many swedish massages from 5-star spas and never have I had this thorough of a massage. Not only was she very gentle but firm where she needed to be (as I had asked) she also made sure that I was comfortable at all times (but not asking/talking too much).
Thank you Daiva and thank you Body Work for such a wonderful, relaxing experience, I will be back soon!! -

I bought a Groupon for this place and had moderate expectations, but it blew me away! The massage was truly the best I've ever had and my face has never looked better after the facial. Very comfortable, very friendly and certainly a spectacular massage. I'll have a hard time going anywhere else now.

Even after some scheduling issues (they don't seem to have a receptionist so it's a good idea to email to schedule an appt and they won't call to confirm), this was a fantastic experience and the best massage I've ever had.
I had a deal for a 30 min body wrap and 60 min massage. I was completely doused in oil at the beginning, but by the end of the treatment I felt great--not greasy at all, despite going on the most humid day of the summer. This would be a miracle for dry skin in the winter! Laima did an amazing job and it's obvious she loves what she does. Definitely worth the trip. -

I have never been so disappointed. I made an appointment and went a day early to pay with my groupon because it was a surprise for my friend. The owner told me I couldn't use my groupon and denied by business. She said I lied to her and I had to pay full price. She proceeded to call the police. Four police came in and sided with me, however they couldn't do anything because it's a civil suit. She was extremely rude and not accommodating. I will never go back here and good luck using your groupon here!!!!

BEST MASSAGE EVER! the massage therapist was very kind and soft spoken and made me feel relaxed from the very beginning. I had the body wrap and massage deal from dealfind and it was quite the package! The body wrap was comfortably warm and soothing and the massage therapist really worked on my tense muscles. After an hour and a half of amazingness, I walked out feeling very relaxed and light as a feather! I highly recommend this place and would definitely come back!

I had a Stress relief package for 1 1/2 hours of Swedish massage and aromatherapy body wrap. It was great experience. I arrived early and was greeted immediately and the lady told me that we could start early if I would like. Works for me since I don't have to sit there and waste time. The decor is comfortable in the lounge as well as in the small private room. Everything looked clean and in order. The wrap was so comfortable that I fell asleep for about 10 mins. It never got very hot for me personally and I am pretty sure I didn't sweat at all but I normally don't sweat so sad for me otherwise it would be more effective at detoxing. Massage was great with special attention paid to my problem areas. It was smooth massage with great pressure. I will go again for sure.

I have been coming to BWMS for years. The owner, Laima is a wonderful, calm yet energetic soul. The moment I step into the door I feel a sense of calm over me. Her facility is clean, warm and inviting. I know that the next hour is going to be filled with relaxation and relief of what ever ails me. This is definitely the place to go for a professional environment. No hustle and bustle just pure relaxation!!

This was my first massage experience, and it was amazing! My sister was visiting from out of town, so I made the appointments in advance. We showed up about ten minutes early, and only waited a few minutes. We both received Swedish massages and they were a full hour. Before it began, I was asked about any injuries or health issues, and the studio was very CLEAN. I will definitely be going back.
Oh, and the first-timer special was $50 for a full hour, with tempting VIP specials after that first visit. Highly recommended. -
