When at a Husker Baskeball home game, be sure to check out the student section.  Look for the guy in the "N" hardhat in the first row, clutching the handrail and jumping up and down, hardhat bobbling over his eyes.  "That guy has spirit!" I said, my last game.  "That's Billy Green," my uncle said, "He's a math genius!"  The pep band was playing "Wooly Bully," and although the home team was losing by 20, the math genius was clapping his hands, hollering at the cheerleaders, and now flailing his arms in excitment.  "He doesn't sit down the entire game," said my uncle, "The crowd loves him...he's autistic or something."

Well, Billy Green the autistic math genius was great to have at the game, but unfortunately he was the most entertaining person to look at -- not the lethargic basketball players, not the chubby cheerleaders, not even the man flinging free hot dogs into the stands (he never flung one my way)...When Kansas comes to town, maybe it'll be different...but for now there is not much spirit inside, Husker home games.
