The place to go for high end road bikes or track/fixed gear needs.  This is a smaller shop with a very helpful and knowledgeable staff.  If you're into fixed gear, this is without a doubt the place to be.  Many stores stock a fixed gear/ss bike or two and maybe the odd cog or something, but these guys are a real authority on the matter.

If you're looking for a budget mountain bike or cruiser you may want to look elsewhere - they don't have the broad selection and bargain prices that some of the chain stores do.  For the discerning roadie, however, I don't think this place can be beat.

The Bike Biz has a website as well that I believe mirrors their store inventory, so you can check ahead or order online if you like.  Be sure to check out the banana guards, they're a hoot.

I had placed a 'custom' build from The Bike Biz choosing every single part to my needs and what I exactly wanted.  In the beginning the two reg. employees a guy & gal helped me out great for sizing and parts, etc...  At the end I was spending close to $1800!!!!!  About two and a half weeks have passed and I probably followed up on my build about 4 times total...  Always polite, professional, & courgal!  "just excited to ride a new bike"  (we all know how that is)

... ON THE 4TH TIME I CALLED THE MGR. "BOB" ANSWERS THE PHONE (AGAIN JUST FOLLOWING UP ON THE STATUS - GOING ON 3 WEEKS NOW) HE ATTEMPTS TO PUT ME ON HOLD, THEN I HEAR IN THE BACK GROUND!  "THIS F__'IN (MY NAME WAS USED) F__'IN IS CALLING ME AGAIN ON HIS BIKE BUILD, ANYBODY KNOW THE STATUS?  SOME ONE RESPONDS AND SAY'S IT'LL GET DONE WHEN IT'S DONE!  "BOB" REPEATEDLY KEEPS SAYIN' THIS F__'IN GUY, F-THIS, F-THAT" - I FELT I WAS HATED FOR BEING A "CUSTOMER'!

Bob get's back on the phone, but before he even says anything I'm pissed!!!!!  And mentioned what I just witnessed hearing & in short requested for my refund!  KEEP IN MIND BOB IS THE MANAGER OF THE BIKE BIZ.  I hope this messag finds the owner!!

I was a honest polite customer spending $1800+ AND NO ONE doesn't need to be discussed in that manner!  I have been in the cycling life-style for more than 10 years and had all my bikes custom built and I have NEVER experianced anything like this w/ a bike business!

I HOPE THIS MESSAGE FINDS THE OWNER SO I CAN SHARE MY EXPERIANCE THAT I HAD W/ THE BIKE BIZ!

Nice people. I came all the way from Union City and could certainly say it was worth the drive. I bought my first bike here and had a good experiance.

Price: Cheaper than anywhere in the Bay Area. I got my bike for about $100 less than places in Oakland and SF.

Selection: Lots of vintage road bikes, new road/track bikes, few mountain bikes, all kinds of colorful rims and stuff. Nice selection of stuff.

Service: They were friendly here. Some lady helped me that was pretty helpful and answered all my questions. She even gave me half off some $14 bar tape..

If I lived in the area, this would be the shop I'd go to. Unfortunately, I don't.. Good prices, and good service.

This place truly rocks.  You can go to their Website and build a fixed gear bike from scratch, from the frame right on up.  I did just that.  Started with the new EAI Brass Knuckle frame and I have some great parts on this puppy - including red Velocity Deep V rims, SOMA track bars and a FSA Vigorelli crank.  Nice.  Anyway, they have great support on the phone and through email.  After getting the rims in on a special order, they built the bike and sent it out right away.  All I had to do is put the front wheel on, the bars, and the pedals.  And then my neighbor helped me make a slight adjustment to the headset and I am good to go.

Solid store online and assume they are just as good in person.
