BATHROOM REVIEW:

I discovered the hotel by surprise.  I was driving down the touristy road, Mulholland Drive towards the Hollywood sign, when I made a wrong turn.  (No, I was not trying to make my own David Lynch movie.)
Like I have said before, when you have to go you have to go, and the Beverly Hilton is the place to GO!
Park on the curb outside and walk to the main entry.  You'll pass more Rolls Royce's, Lamborghini's, and other over $200K cars than any car show.  Three to four bellmen will open the door for you.  Don't make eye contact.  Just pretend like you own the place.  Don't worry how you are dressed; I came in with a grubby t-shirt, mesh shorts, and Mario Batali Crocs.
Go to the left corner in the lobby.  These are large bathrooms.  No one-holers here.  Besides the plethora of albino urinals there are several stalls all different shapes and sizes.  I chose the biggest, the handicap stall.
Once refreshed, I went over to the granite counter to wash up and dry my hands on their linen towels.  Very quiet, tranquil, comfortable and luxurious.  That's what I like in a bathroom.
Though it is a rather large bathroom I still felt as if this was a one-person only place.

Came up to LA for a concert. Even though we live only an hour plus away we always stay over as to be able to fully enjoy ourselves without the risk of a much dreaded DUI. Also, this gives me a great excuse to stay in nice/famous hotels such as this one.

The room was lovely. Not huge but very comfortable and chic.  Within walking distance to Rodeo and Canon drive. We ended up drinking and having lite eats at Trader Vics. Very enjoyable. Also had a drink in the bar on the main level. It was also very nice.

Great (but a little overpriced) valet. Nice that they give you a little  Beverly Hilton logo water bottle for the road.

BANQUET MEAL REVIEW - esp for vegetarians

I've been to a dozen large banquets at this Hilton.  Some of which I've paid hundreds of dollars for my dinner seat myself, and some of which an organization I'm affiliated with paid several hundred dollars for my seat.   The organizations putting on the events have repeatedly asked the hotel to improve the quality and quantity of the food, particularly for vegetarians, and still the hotel continues to serve woefully inadequate, meager, low quality food.

My main gripe is with the vegetarian entrees.  These are utterly pathetic, with no more than a thin slice of flavorless polenta, a dessicated piece or two of red pepper, and maybe a few wisps of a of another vegetable or to.  Maybe a splash of tomato paste pretending to be a sauce.  And that's it.  Totally unfilling and a bite or two, not a meal.  It's so bad, it's insulting.  Many Angelenos are vegetarian and deserve better, particularly since the hotel is charging very high prices and diners are supposed to be attending classy events.

Even for the nonvegetarians, the meals are pretty bad.  First course salads are weird, e.g. greens with winter nuts and cheese combined with summer fruits.  Entree is almost without fail a bland, rubber chicken with again, very little accompanying it.  The desserts have been better but still nothing to really look forward to.

I hope someone from the hotel's management reads this and makes a radical change for the better, quickly.  For all the excess of the Hilton family, they can afford to feed paying customers better.

Spent one night here in order to celebrate my 30th birthday up in LA.

A+ for everything. I can't wait to stay again.

$49/head for the Sunday  Brunch and its one of the best brunches I've had and I've been to many including the ones at the St. Regis and the Ritz.

Self-Parking is $24-$28 per 24hrs, but it seems like thats standard for hotels in this area.

This hotel's ok.  The rooms on the pool level are fun because you can walk directly outside and hang out by the pool.  The room wasn't impressive.  I wouldn't pay that amount of money for that room, but I suppose if your company is paying for it, then why not stay there?

We ate the Wagyu Burger with fries and some Steak and Broccoli Stir-Fry from Trader Vic's, the bar near the pool area.  They were both phenomenal, but you would expect that when you're paying $23 for the burger and $28 for the stir-fry.  The drinks were also really good, but ridiculously pricy.  Here's my recommendation: take your own drinks if you're going to hang out in the pool area.  The crowd in the bar was pretty boring.  We had a better time sitting outside the room.

Also, they show a movie on a big screen over the pool at night.  It's disgusting.  It shows men toe fighting...yes, that's what I said: toe fighting.

Lastly, you'd expect the lobby of this place to be pretty nice, but it wasn't.  I've seen Holiday Inns that have nicer lobbies.

The pool area's the only reason this got a third star.

It's clearly a great hotel, but I just had an ok experience. Worth keeping in mind, this hotel is probably much more incredible in the summer - I was there in the winter.

Pros: pretty good gym in the basement, impressive property from a decor/design standpoint, good service.

Cons: seems overpriced based on what you could get in Santa Monica near the beach, nothing really exceptional about the experience

THE BED.

I can't help but agree with Tony Y. when I say the bed is absolute HEAVEN.  I did NOT want to get out of it!

Bid on (and got) a room for $110/night through Priceline.  Nice!  Requested a king size bed over the phone but they told me to ask once I arrived at the hotel.  When I got there, they said they had run out of rooms with a king size bed, so they upgraded me to a Junior Suite.

There are flat screen tvs in both the room AND the washroom, and as I'd mentioned above... THE BED.  Their robes are superb as well.  Large balconies = a plus on a warm spring/summer day.

Parking: $24 a night. :O  Didn't like that part too much.  At least it had ample parking.

Perks: Free gym use, Trader Vics (downstairs), and the lovely pool area.

I'd definitely recommend staying at this hotel!  But only if your company is paying for it, or if you book a room through Priceline.  ;)

Have you ever laid on a bed so soft and, instantly, it made you almost fall asleep?  Well, I laid on the softest and most comfortable bed when I stayed at The Beverly Hilton.  This hotel's renovation is phenomenal, particularly in the guest rooms.  I never expected to have a flat screen in the bathroom but since it was there I certainly used it.  My hotel room was well-appointed.  The balcony was nice too, but I wasn't too fond of sitting on the balcony facing the hotel's circle driveway.

The staff was, somewhat, decent.  I was upset when I returned to my room one day, and realized that the maid had came in and cleaned the entire room, neglecting the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door.  Obviously, I made a complaint about this situation.  However, on a lighter note, this hotel has alot to enjoy.  The views from the restaurant on the top level are spectacular, making for a very enjoyable dinner.

This hotel is one of the best I've been to.  Just be prepared to spend over $20 per night for parking in their garage.

I have stayed here numerous times throughout the years and love it.  Fabulous rooms, great staff, and close to the famous Rodeo Dr, Santa Monica Blvd., Robertson, and other shopping destinations.

Room service is a bit pricey, but due to all of the restaurants in the area, there is really no need to order in.

Lastly, I have a wonderful memory eating with Merv Griffin and his dog here one time by the pool at their downstairs restaurant.  He was such a gem, and so is the Beverly Hilton!

Tip:  Anyone can purchase a room here during the Golden Globes (which are held in the ballroom in the lobby of the hotel) and look down from their balcony over the red carpet to see all of the stars :)

By far the best hotel in Beverly Hills.  The rooms and restaurants are top notch and for the most part, the staff is Grade A.

I stay here a couple of times each month for work and the staff remembers me each time and always makes me feel at home.  I won't stay anywhere else.

Total lux! Staying here felt like being a part of old Hollywood, just an updated version!

My sister & I had a Girls Night Out here a few years ago while up from OC for a conference. It was absolutely INCREDIBLE! It all started with checking in. They were so nice and accommodating. My sister & I also enjoyed the code names they were using at the front desk for someone important; we later found out it was The Governator. The room was awesome - a huge flat screen tv in the room, and another in the bathroom (and this was a few years ago when flat screens weren't everywhere). The beds were so plush, too. We also snooped around the conference rooms at the hotel, which they seemed to be cool with. After an evening of shopping and glutinizing at Gulfstream, we ordered deserts through room service. So, so, so good.

My dad stayed here about 15 years ago, and still talks about the celebrities he saw (we weren't so lucky). Staying at this place is one of the must-do's in life!

I've decided to be most judicious in my handing out 5 stars but the Beverly Hilton certainly earns every star.  The hotel seems a bit industrial looking from the outside and get into it from Wilshire can be a challenge.

However, once you turn the corner into the drop off you know you're stepping into one of the best hotels in California.  I've never paid for a stay here but when you have event here you get a discounted stay rate.  I don't know what that is either but it seems expensive.

Goodness knows the room service is-$40 for an egg white omelette and an OJ.

But the service that brings it to you is 2nd to none.  The staff is cheerful, friendly and dedicated.  Take this point:  I remembered that I did not bring  my tuxedo shoes.  I needed my regular black loafers to take on a shine and quick.  They told me that it would take 90 minutes.  I said I had 30 and then knock knock "Sir, I'm here for your shoes" and the shoes were back before I finished re-ironing the tuxedo.

I also left some clothes there and called a few days later and to my surprise they still had them and ready for pick up.

The lounge bar is a nice stop though they don't serve food.  But you can get that from room service, interestingly enough.  They also will try to claim your unfinished drink at 2 am.  Nice try on that though.

I've stayed in better hotels, but it's still really nice. The staff is soo friendly and helpful. The valet guys are nice. The inside of the hotel is beautiful. The rooms are okay, but the beds, THE BEDS!! I wanted to steal my bed, somehow fit it onto the plane. They have the Heavenly beds and they are truly heavenly. Room service is pricey, but I've yet to meet a room service that isn't. I ordered french fries one night and it was $15. HAHA oopss. Great location!

Yes, just OK.  Unless you have a bed fetish and want to sleep in a super comfortable bed with just the right plush pillows.  Other than that, my experience was less than what should be expected in a BH hotel.  I had car service drop me and some guests off with some expensive items from the trunk onto the hotel luggage cart about 10:30pm after an event.  I noticed the guy who was helping load the luggage cart would be trying extra hard to peer into the bags and boxes that were being unloaded.  Right there I started getting that "strange" feeling.  As we were heading up, the luggage guy assured me the cart would be right behind us so I went up with the other guests.  5 mins, 10 mins, 15 mins go by and still no cart!!  I went down immediately to find the cart sitting alone, unattended.  The hotel lobby was full of other hotel guests and patrons from a wedding reception taking place near the lobby.  Ok, now I know I may be a bit paranoid if it were just luggage buuuut there was a huge Tiffany bag, some boxes of crystal and misc. personal items within arms reach of people sitting on couches and walking by.  I "sarcastically" told the front desk that I'm just going to take the cart myself.  Without looking up she just said "oh, ok".  Umm... not the right answer I was looking for.  So then I layed it on thicker and said, "I don't think you understand.  This cart has been sitting here unattended for almost 20 mins with some expensive items and you didn't even ask me what room number it's for or who I am!!!"  She says, " we have security outside in case something happens to it".  Me: laughing and then saying, "are you fu&$#@ kidding me"?  I point outside and say "security", I point to cart and say "inside".  She then starts to remember the hotel manual stating you must always apologize to guests and proceeds to say "I'm very sorry for the inconven...  (that's where I cut her off and say "fu#@# save it!").  I guess the guy I had mentioned earlier about trying to peer extra hard into the bags was just being really nosey, nothing was missing.
Ok, onto room service.  I don't care how hungry you are in the morning or how much that hangover is telling you to order some breakfast, don't do it!!  The breakfast tastes like something Denny's threw out a week ago and for about $30 bucks!!  There's plenty to eat up and down Santa Monica Blvd.  BUT! the room service was quick.  I guess it's not hard to make some jacked up eggs and hash browns...
Make sure you confirm you have a view if that's what you want.  I had a view of... a very high balcony wall.  Apparently my rooms balcony was just about a foot or so above an adjoining buildings roof top so to deter people from jumping onto the roof top and running around the selected rooms had solid walls instead of rails and unless your Yao Ming's height, you couldn't see over.  I had to go about 5 rooms down to my buddies balcony to enjoy a view.
Check out the Elan Hotel if you don't mind staying further down Wilshire.  My cuz stayed there and said it was pretty cool.

I'm attaching a review I wrote for TripAdvisor:

Classy, chic, and yet not snobby at all despite its Beverly Hills location. The front desk staff is always very friendly and more importantly very capable. So far everytime I've stayed here I've received upgrades to the junior suites which are very nice. Again, modern but classic decor, with very spacious closets and bathrooms. Our favorite experience at the Beverly Hilton is probably having breakfast at the Circa55/Trader Vics poolside area. Great breakfast selection. The infamous Startini, on the other hand, was quite the letdown. But it was free with the room, and free is free.

One small nuisance is the newly installed automated minibars. Food items are placed on a weight sensitive board and merely lifting the items and reading the box may incur charges to the room. That also removes any chance of us using the fridge for items other than what is already in the minibar, which is unfortunate.

I would also expect a hotel of Beverly Hilton's stature to have a recycling bin available for its guests, but it didn't. It is pet-friendly, but at a fee. These are some of the reasons why I'm looking forward to staying at the Palomar Westwood during my next visit to Los Angeles the next month. I am a frequent business traveller and have been an avid fan of the Hilton Hhonors club for a long time, but the Kimpton way is definitely starting to win me over...

Probably the best customer service of any hotel I've stayed at.  Friendly, helpful and sincere describe everyone from the driver, conceriege, waiters and maids.  One minor mistake (we asked for no down/feather pillows because of my allergy) was corrected instantly.  The room featured one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in, huge flat panel hdtv, super soft comfy robes, in-room safe, and high end toiletries.  Since this was my first hotel experience in the 90210 I expected some snobbery but it never ever happened.  I was struck by how nice the entire staff was.
Room Service runs 24-7 and was pricey but the burgers are amazing.   Dinner at Circ55 - also amazing - the sirloin with broccoli was delish, the startini was quite good and the sorbet desert - priceless!

"I'm going to Eddie Awards this weekend, but my girlfriend is out of town.  Wanna be my plus one?"

What am I, a back up date?  A choice #2?  A fail-safe?  Well, I am all of the above to several of my friends, but I don't care!  I always wanted to go to A.C.E. Eddie Awards!!  A.C.E. is an American Cinema Editors guild, and they have annual awards for all the picture editors, kind of like SAG awards.  I get more excited to see all those cool picture editors than seeing celebrities, so this was just the perfect glamorous event for me.

So there we were, at Beverly Hilton International Ballroom last night for this black tie event.  I've never been to a red carpet event, or let alone visited Beverly Hilton hotel before.  My expectations were ultra high!  A banquet dinner at Beverly Hilton...  Sounds good right?  Well, the awards was awesome despite the fact that this place had a horrible sound system.  I thought the show was much better than Academy or Golden Glove.  Well it could be because I'm a nerd, but really, it was a 5 star event!

The dinner was rather disappointing though.  The night started with various kinds of bread in a basket and the whipped butter balls in a silver bowl.  Cute and yummy.  Tomato basil soup followed the bread, and this was very salty.  Then the entree came.  The plate had a small steak, grilled white fish, mashed potato, and grilled veggies all together.  The steak was rather well done and dry.  The fish was bland.  Grilled veggies were good but it's hard to screw that up anyway.  Then the chocolate banana cake came.  Another ok dish.

The ticket to this event is $250 per person.  Granted that not even half of that money was spent on food, but still, considering that it was rather famous awards show dinner, and that it was at Beverly Hilton hotel, I expected a little more.  Then I got depressed.  If banquet dinner at world famous Beverly Hilton hotel is this level, how in the hell do I find a perfect place for my future wedding where food is actually good?  And how much do I have to spend?  Well, not that I have any plans for getting married anytime soon, but one must wonder and be prepared for when the time comes.  Well at least I know that I won't have my wedding here even if I could afford it, but that's a whole another issue...

I LOVE THIS HOTEL.   No it's not the Beverly Hills Hotel, or the Bel-Air, but it's certainly is the common mans Beverly Hills destination.

My husband and I recently spent a long weekend here for our anniversary.  First, I burned hotel points for this stay (so no charge - woo-hoo!!).   I expected less than executive treatment for the freebie and boy were we surprised.   I received a welcome e-mail from the hotel general manager a few days in advance of our stay requesting our arrival time so our accommodations could be appropriately prepared.  I responded with the time and casually mentioned our anniversary.

Upon arrival, the front desk congratulated us, upgraded us to a Jr. Suite (so posh ... SO nice) and treated us like royalty.  The room was gorgeous and some marble quarry gave it's life for the bathroom replete with a separate chamber for the commode, a five body shower a tub big enough for serious cavorting, and a flat panel LCD television on a swing arm so you could see it regardless of your bathroom locale!  Game on Dude!!

The room wowed us so much we were in need of liquid refubishment so we headed to the lobby bar.  A perfect perch to watch the comings/goings of this busy hotel.  The lovely Achille waited on us and treated us like kings.  The drinks were good the people watching first rate and we were in relaxed mode in no time.

Returning to the room we found a lovely anniversary card, a spectacular plate of chocolates in an edible chocolate basket and a bottle of wine.  First class all the way.

My only criticism of the hotel was the food.  Unfortunately the food didn't live up to the decor of the dining room nor the marvelous service provided by the staff.  It didn't suck, but definitely did not wow for sure.  It's a chain hotel and that always colors the restaurants.  Perhaps Hilton should consider breaking the mold a bit at this high end outlet and acquire a name chef.

All told, we had a truly splendiferous anniversary weekend.   And yes .. the beds are as good for nookie as they are comfortable.   We will be back.  The location can't be beat and what this "b-list" Beverly Hills lodging lacks in glitz, it more than makes up with friendly, attentive relaxed, service and ease of access.

I have to agree with the other reviews.  The hotel is nice, simple and great customer service.

Rooms are spacious, has a Bose radio, minibar with really great overpriced items... I mean 6.5 for a can of soda.  Yes, 6.50 before taxes for a can of soda.  Such the scam!

Room seems to be clean, though I'm not a big fan of the shower head, as the spray tends to be a bit weak for me.  Rooms are quiet and the pool looks relaxing.

Circa 55...  Outstanding!  Try the Chilean sea bass... and/or the rib-eye.... for a hotel restaurant, they really do a good job.  Really great service and food.  Mmmm, sea bass.

Don't be fooled the way I was when driving up to The Beverly Hilton. The exterior looked a bit run down during the day but once you walk into the lobby, they mean business. The decor is super luxe, and the gentleman helping us check in who also checked us out was extremely polite.

There was a cool fish tank near the elevators going up to the diamond suites which my friends stayed in - awesome rooms. Brunch at Circa 55 was great. It was a buffet set up with tasty breakfast options including customizing your own omelet. The freshly squeezed OJ was probably the best OJ I've ever had. Right afterwards, we strolled about 15 feet to the pool and caught some sun. The guy from Burn Notice sat two chairs away.

One thing that bothered me which brought my rating down two stars was the uncleanliness of the bathroom. One of my biggest pet peeves is hair in the bathroom whether its the floor, tub... just get it in the trash. Housekeeping missed a bunch of strands from the previous guests in the shower - yuck! Otherwise our room was nice, the king size bed was roomy and felt like you're on cloud 9.

I would definitely come back, hopefully next time I won't have the same bathroom issue.

I promised myself I wouldn't write a review for the Beverly Hilton. I promised myself I wouldn't since my hotel reviews are about as useful as Citysearch (OOH!). My hotel reviews really suck.

But I came to a conclusion last night when I got home and climbed back into my own bed - the beds at the Hilton are really really comfy.

Someone pointed that out to me while we were in bed, but I wasn't really paying attention and honestly, I usually don't care. A bed is a bed is a bed and as long as the bed isn't so soft that my back hurts in the morning, I'm cool. But, I did have that "comfy bed" thought run through my head for a quick flash before falling asleep in my own firmer and not so warm bed at home so I guess I have to give it a couple stars for the thought.

Otherwise, the hotel is nice. Like I said earlier, I don't really know what else to say than that. My company always has their holiday party at the Beverly Hilton so I guess the glitz and glamour of it all has worn off. The banquet food is mediocre - the steak is usually good but the fish they served us the other night was definitely subpar.

Anyway, what should you take from this review? Hilton. Comfy beds.

This was a great review.

I loved staying here!  The quality of service was second to none.  The bed was so comfortable I hated to have to get up.  My hotel room was clean and very well designed.  I want to remodel my place and make it more like this room, it was that nice.

The restaurant was great, too.  The pool area is beautiful!  You can see it from the restaurant.  They also had a great bar in the lobby and some really great shops in the lobby as well, especially the art gallery!

I would recommend this hotel to anyone...but be warned, you wont want to check out.

I never thought I'd be staying here either.  But...Cousin T got her nose fixed up today by a B.H. plastic surgeon and this is where she wanted to stay (I think she used points).  Our room was a "Cabana Room" which meant it looked over the pool and Trader Vics.  It also meant we got to listen to people eating and drinking until?????
The room was bigger than I thought.  The beds were clean and comfortable.  There were many stains on the rug and the chairs.  The bathroom was small but stocked with L'Occitane.  Definitly doable.

I would give this place 5 stars BUT...

1) they charge $26 a night for parking even if you're a guest...as a NorCal gal, I am too used to free parking spaces everywhere, but I guess they gotta make a buck!

2) 5 levels of internet connection options...and none included free internet! Really? I'm paying $250 a night and you can't give me a little bandwidth? Bummers.

Other than that, we stayed at a night when CBS was hosting a party, so we had a great time star spotting at the hotel. Loved it!

I never really thought I'd be rating this place, it just seems like one of those places that only exists on television, even though I live in Los Angeles. I know they've had umpteen million award shows here, and I used to go to Trader Vic's all the time, but the hotel itself seemed like a sort of mirage.

Well, I'm happy to report that it's real. I've been attending the summer/fall TCA's this week, and and they moved it this season from the Ritz in Pasadena (which I loved too) to the Beverly Hilton, so I've been ensconced in this place for most of the week watching all the network shows do their RAH RAH RAH bit for their upcoming shows.

It's pretty damned opulent, has enough marble to build a new Capitol building out of, and hearkens back to old school Hollywood. My first day I accidentally walked into the women's room and kept spinning around looking for the urinals ... whoops. I didn't figure it out until one of the stall doors opened and a (hot) woman came out and gave me a weird look. Whoops.

Anyhow, I found the men's room, which was decorated with black and white photos of the Rat Pack ... and is also one of The Nicest Restrooms in LA (I swear, there needs to be a book). The rest of the hotel is pretty much the same, tons of marble, lots of old school Hollywood photos, extremely helpful staff, and an awesome pool. Seriously, visiting the pool after lunch every day to check out the girls in swimwear was a highlight of the week, thank god for the great weather we've been having.

They also have a "Trader Vic's Lounge", which is a sort of Tiki-theme micro lounge. It's a sad reminder that Trader Vic's is gone, although you can get the same delicious drinks there.

Also, to note, they have one of the most sparkling clean parking garages that I've ever seen. Kudos.

Loved the pool lounge. Our friends had a poolside room and we sat outside and talked to people for a few hours. Decent music, decent conversation. I had a great time. I didn't have to buy drinks but I heard they were mighty pricy.

Went again last night and I love the pool lounge. I stayed in during the fires and turned on the AC. It was a great AC system and it didn't feel dry or smoky at all.

A fantastic restoration/renovation having just completed, the BH is now in its best shape ever. Everything is fresh and modern, but somehow the designers managed to maintain the old-school Hollywood feel of the place. The BH now, without question, is in a state that lives-up to its heritage and its address.

I highly recommend staying here if your travels take you to LA's West side.

The outside has kept its retro exterior (think JFK era), but is completely up-to-date inside.  The lobby and pool areas are beautiful.  Our room, a junior suite, was decorated in an appealing and soothing modern style.  We had a balcony where we had breakfast each day.  Room service breakfast was quite expensive.  The bed was comfortable and the bed linens top-drawer.   We encountered capable and friendly staff in all areas of the hotel.   The rate, around $250, was reasonable.  We will definitely be back.

I've driven by the world-famous Beverly Hilton Hotel many, many times on Wilshire Boulevard, star-stricken every single time, while never have gotten to see the inside.

Well now that I got the chance after attending a formal banquet... it did not live up to the "glamorous and classy Old Hollywood" hype that I had going in my head all my life.

The facade is the only thing keeping it legendary. Despite their non-stop renovations, they were very smart to have kept the fifties-style exterior architecture. Their name signage is unmistakably retro, perfectly reminiscent of the 1950s. But that's it. And oh. Maybe hosting the Golden Globes annually helps with the hotel's image.

There's a huge disconnect between the interior and the exterior. The outside literally feels like just a stage prop and inside is just another ordinary Hilton, Hyatt, or Marriot. They have made everything so "hip and modern" that it has lost its '50s charm.

The hotel room I stayed in was fine, just like any other decent hotel. It is comfortable. In fact, perhaps more decent and clean than its other 3-star hotel competitors. But it is nothing memorable... as it should have been for such a legendary Hollywood landmark. Where did the 1950s charm go, people?

Terrible place for the Gala banquet I helped out with. We had 1,000 people which put the ballroom at its maximum capacity...

My job was to survey the ballroom and I couldn't do my job very well because the tables were so cramped together and too crowded! And oh... you always have to be wary of the waiter carrying a tray with 10 dishes... Iv'e had too many close calls with them storming in and out every time. A bad, bad accident is bound to happen, I'm telling you.

Oh, and the banquet food? Meh. I've had better food at Sizzler. Good for you if it's free or you just like snobbery and flaunting the fact that you're made of money.

And if you're not made of money... check the food price list before opening a $10 bag of cashews.

I was here the day after the Golden Globe last year so I expected all the staff to be overworked and exhausted but the staff proved to me that they deserve their star rating. The room was pretty small for so cal standard and decor was so-so. The fact that Trader Vic's is located adjacent to the hotel was a plus. After arriving at the hotel at after 9pm, i didnt feel like cabbing it to a restaurant. I guess I couldve order room service but i just wanted to be outside my room.  The comp mercedes town car service is very convenient (based on availability). The bell men were courteous. I would definitely go back to this place, not only because of the hotel amenities but because it is located close to one of my favorite coffee shops!

So sad this place use to be one of my favorite dinning destinations in LA.  I used to put up all my clients and family up at the hotel who used to visit so they are in the center of the city and walking distance to lots of great shopping and dinning.  but the management is outright Rude and the service is despicable

Beautiful hotel. Recently renovated so the interior is brand new and beautiful. As others have mentioned the exterior is totally 50's concrete style and doesn't let on to the great hotel that is within.

The service is great, staff is fantastic. The Bell Boy was very helpful in giving us ideas on places to eat and the layout of the area. The Concierge was very helpful when we needed to find an Apple Store to replace a lost power cord. We took advantage of their courtesy car, a nice 7 Series BMW over to the mall and back. All top notch service. The only negative experience was getting coffee in the morning when one of the bartenders was annoyed that I was at the wrong part of the bar when ordering a cup of coffee?!? Didn't know there was a right and wrong part...

Great place to stay, spectacular rooms and wonderful staff and service. Highly recommend it when you're staying in L.A.

I love this hotel, love taking the two turns off Santa Monica it takes to get to the classic drive, the awesome tall lobby, the soothing golden rooms with TVs everywhere--watch TV while you're bathing! Nice. Watch your bill upon checkout thoough--the refreshment center in the rooms and suites at the BH now work with that silly "move the item and it gets registered as purchased"  counting device. Often you're charged for a thing you didn't eat/drink because you moved it to get to another item. Also, one fellow at the check out desk was  not so nice in dealing with the over-billing.  I am sure the Hilton wants to treat their guests kindly and happily review any issue of over-billing by their  "computer," but one particular desk clerk didn't share that  opinion.  It all worked out well in the end though.

I sincerely hope one of these days, Yelp would create a superstar rating or 10 stars....because the Beverly Hilton would get the highest of the highest rating.

I have stayed at 100's of hotels around the world.  Not one has equaled my stay at the Beverly Hilton.

Everything possible in luxury and convenience was thought of for their guests.  Here is the shortlist:

- from the time you arrive, you feel like you enter a mini oasis in the center of Beverly Hills.  White buildings, well appointed fixtures, water flowing in a beautiful fountain and the friendly smiles of the front of the house personnel.  All perfectly done within your first 5 minutes of arrival.

- stepping into the lobby, you feel like royalty.  Marble floors, incredible water and floral arrangements, gorgeous furniture and cool glass walls are your surroundings.

- there are several attentive people in the lobby to make sure you are taken care of.  Then when you reach the Reservation desks, you are again greeted with a sincere smile.  The Check in process was ultra smooth.

- as the bell man follows you with your luggage, you go to the elevator base to see a huge fish tank with incredible salt water fish.

- you take a quick elevator ride to your BEAUTIFUL suite.  The bell man brings everything in and puts it away for you.  Grabs ice and extra bottles of water.  Shows you every convenience imaginable.

- my suite included the following: two plasma tv's, a cool view of Beverly Hills and the pool, fresh arrangement of flowers, lotion, spa like tub, seperate shower, fresh fruit and living room.  Everything was perfect and fresh.

- when you want to leave the hotel, the valet pulls your car up quickly and provides a multiple bottles of water EVERY time.

- the pool is clean, waiters are friendly and professional, and background music is perfect.

- trader vics and circa 55 have the most delicous food.  You have to try the omelettes!

I could go on and on, but there is no way I could even describe in words the luxury and service you will get at this hotel.  Not only will I recommend it to everyone I know, but I will make sure I stay here when I come to Los Angeles next time.  Simply the best hotel in the world!

Ok, the only reason why this place is cool is because of the location. The hotel garage is base camp for the T.V. show "entourage". So maybe you can sneak onto the set or 'spec' as an extra and meet Vince & Turtle.  The rooms are very boring. The lobby is nothing special. The building is ugly. The pool is decent. The view is decent. Overall its an ok hotel. I would only stay here if you got a great internet deal or a free room.

READ MY REVIEW TO HAVE  THE BEST AND MOST ENJOYABLE STAY AND AT THE BEVERLY HILTON.

#1 Join the free Hilton Honors program at http://Hilton.com
#2 Book your reservation on http://Hilton.com and look for the AAA rate (if your a member) or Net Direct Rate. use your Hilton Honors number for Res.
#3 Type your special requests online (ask for an upgraded room for Hilton Honors loyalty)  when you make your reservations the upgrade is not guaranteed, depending on availability and occupancy.
#4 Be nice and don't arrive wearing sweats at check-in.
#5 Tip for good service. average tip $5-$10 for valet or baggage.  $25 dollars at the front desk, if you have any special requests. (not always necessary but recommended if you want special treatment)
#6 Visit the Pool and enjoy the Mai Tai's and appetizers at Trader Vic's, Dine at least once at the restaurant Circa 55, ask for Rosa.  Shes a waitress at the restaurant and she's awesome. Sunday  Brunch is absolutely fabulous.   In-Room dining service can be pricey!!! But a great experience, nevertheless.

I love the Beverly Hilton. The hotel just completed a 100 million dollar renovation by a  local businessman, who really went all out :-) to make sure the place shines like a diamond in the Beverly Hills. Types of room requests that may be honored, ask for a HIGH FLOOR with a Beverly Hills or Century City views.  If thats not available, ask for a Cabana room near the pool, if available, they may want to charge you more for this, however.  The place is a scene, and you may see a lot of Hollywood stars depending on the time of year you visit. The Beverly Hilton hosts many celebrity events during the year.  The Golden Globes (Awards) is just one example. Parking is pricey but there is self-parking if you don't valet.

The rooms are beautiful, 42" Flat Panel Plasma TV's and nice, calm, muted luxurious colors, with fresh linens and good bathroom amenities, marble and granite showers, counters, and modern fixtures.  I recommend you bring your own snacks, as with any seasoned well-traveled person not wanting to pay the prices for the mini-bar in the room.   If you have any problems during your stay, call the front desk and they will get things fixed within 30 minutes or so.  Again, be nice.  The concierge will be able to assist with local entertainment and shows, restaurant  ideas and reservations. Try and call the concierge early, so they have time to work on your request.  Close to Rodeo Drive and all shopping is within walking distance, but really who walks around  Los Angeles. You are going to feel relaxed and pampered at the Beverly Hilton. Enjoy.

I so wanted to hate this place because of its relation to that wretched creature gracing my TV/magazines far too often, but I was pleasantly surprised. Prior to renovation a few years ago, the hotel was very dated with grimy moulding and some hideous ivy-based decor, but now it's quite nice with the standard down comforters, plasma TVs, and tasteful (or at least, inoffensive) neutral decor. Most importantly for me, the hotel offers self-parking with in/out privileges, which I much prefer to valet because it's much faster and there's no worrying about having to have cash to tip. [Note to prospective muggers: I never ever have cash.] The garage is attached and always has a lot of parking, usually right at the entrance next to the hotel. The location, at the intersection of Santa Monica and Wilshire, is also very convenient if you're going to be on the Westside, although it's less so if you're going to be travelling a bit because there aren't any freeways close by. Oh, and I can't forget the service, which has been almost invariably great: I've checked in early, switched rooms, encountered a leaky ceiling, etc. and everything was handled with the utmost professionalism and catering to the customer. I should mention that I haven't been here lately, but this hotel used to be offered on Priceline. I think there may also be some construction going on at the old Robinsons-May site now, so it may be noisy.
