I walked in because I was attracted to the scent coming from this place- floral, yet musky. I wanted to find that scent to take home, but I was quickly overwhelmed by the clusterfuck going on on the tables and shelves.
There's just way too much cutesy girlie stuff for me here.
On my way out, I noticed the name and thought, "Hey, this doesn't look like the kinda stuff Ms. Bees Knees is into either... what the hell?"

This is one of my favorite stores along Piedmont Ave. There's a small clothing section in the back with unique and stylish items. They carry a good selection of Re-Mix shoes, a brand of retro-style shoes from LA. The only other place that I know to get these is Rabat.

Unless you're between the ages of 18-24, a flat-chested stick figure or a lover of the frumpy hippie look, you may want to skip the clothing racks.
If you're in the "other" category, they have cutesy gift items including vintage-inspired picture frames, cards and bath/body products from lines that you don't see everywhere which, if you're shopping Piedmont anyway, makes it fun to go in and sniff stuff.

I like the cutesy-girl thing, especially when said items are on sale. Helpful staff too.

I've bought a few small things here, gifts for friends and whatnot. Cute, and very much so. I generally avoid it though, and I couldn't think of why when I noticed it was being reviewed here. And then it came to me.
i don't usually do the cutesy girly thing. Pretty rugged, and not particularly small and slight. But, on occasion I like to get my girl on. I have friends that will vouch for me. It's true! Thus, it was one of those times, and I was in there a few years ago. The sales clerk followed me around as if I was going to steal something! Between that and the weird vibe I got off of her, I was entirely turned off. Frankly, I stopped going there entirely.
A few doors down the street you will find 'A Step Forward' they have some very girly stuff there too!
Cute bags and shoes for the average smaller size. I also felt like the staff is snobby and followed me around the store like I was going to shop lift, or god forbid touch something. clothing is for the thinner than average woman, or under 25. I won't be back, but will forever window shop their best-of collection as I pass by, assuming I can find a better deal elsewhere.
This delightful store offers an unusual array of items: some clothes, shoes (nice retro styles), soaps and trinkets. It's like visiting that kooky rich aunt with *really* good taste...

i cant walk out of this place without buying at least three really cute things. Last week I got two dresses and some earrings. the dresses were soooo cute and only $35 each. yesterday i went back and got a pair of shoes that were 45% off!
i cant get over how adorable this store is. they always have really great sales too. i cant remember a time i walked by this store and didnt see a sale sign in the window.
the store owner & clerks seem to really love what they do and are really really helpful when youre shopping for clothes. the prices are really reasonable and they carry stuff i never see anywhere else.

I went in for a dress and left with a birthday card. Perhaps it was an "off" week for their dress selection, but I couldn't find a good light summer dress among any of the racks in the back room. The store does however, deserve a good rating for its variety of unique clothes, purses and random products (like home decor details and spa-quality lotions.) I'm not sure if they would consider this a compliment, but I later described the place to a girlfriend as "a mini urban Anthropologie" :)

This is one of my favorite stores on Piedmont Avenue. I marked women's clothing as the category, but you can find a few clothing items for babies, make-up, lotions, soaps, shoes, purses, jewelry, and many other items at this gem of a store - at affordable prices! Everytime I visit, I leave with a bag!
The service here is great too! I found a beautiful Japanese-style blouse, but the rack only had a size small - ugh! I tried it on, and of course it didn't fit.
The owner of the store asked, "Are you in a hurry"?
I answered, "No".
"Because I think I have a medium at my home which is 5 minutes away," says the store owner, "I'll be back".
She left and came back quickly with the medium-size blouse, and I bought it! She didn't have to give up the last medium, but she did because she could tell it meant a lot to me. I wore it to my birthday dinner that very night and got tons of compliments - yay!
Visit this store and I'm sure you will be impressed.

Summer shoes 75% off!!!! Hell yes, I grabbed two pairs of cutie shoes yesterday at a great deal.
This place also has cute soaps, bath products & other gifty items that my mom would like. They carry kenzie clothing and other neat brands that are too pricey at full price for me (I'm cheap; note the excitement of the sale shoes above).
Friendly staff, too.
this place is so random, but that also makes it fun! i like their shoe and bag selection though, which seems to often be on sale or just well-priced!
