5 reviews for The Barn
Man, I cry inside that this place is an hour from my house because I'd like to go back. My girl and I screamed down the road - complete with tracks of fire left on the pavement - to make it there before they closed at noon. They let us in with two minutes to spare and were as congenial as could be.
I had the Blackstone Eggs - poached eggs, crisp bacon, tomato on an english muffin with hollandaise sauce. Served with red potato homefries, well-seasoned. Amazing. Creative. Delicious.
If you CAN be in the area, I recommend stopping here. The staff is super nice.

Awesome food, decent prices!
I'm on vacation in Little Compton this week. We enjoyed our breakfast so much yesterday that we went back again this morning. I had the Barnwich (a croissant sanwich) and it was excellent. The kids liked the waffles. Coffee cake is awseome!
Orange juice is delicious, but the serving size is rather small.
Being neighbors with one of the chefs helps, but by no means does it mean that the service and quality was any less. Kayaking over 0.8 of a mile away at a small boat launch, it lends itself to a hearty meal with bountiful portions, good food, there were bikers who parked and I love their two level and outdoor patio for eating and you can bring your wallet / checkbook to buy some WONDERFUL and some ahhh paintings, but many are NICE!
Fantastic country breakfast place! Weekends tend to fill up quickly so get here early. They are very kid friendly. The waitresses and even other patrons fawned over my daughters when we would come here.
They have a regular breakfast menu, but they always have interesting specials. Watch for the blackboard as you enter. There is usually some special pancake or french toast concoction that will roll your socks up and down.
My wife and I went here literally every Sunday when we lived in Newport.

Reasons to check out The Barn:
4) Good, old-fashioned breakfast
3) Interesting specials, if you want more than an old-fashioned breakfast
3) Nice waitresses
and the number 1 reason...
It's in an old converted Barn - what's more fun and country-like than that!
