I just absolutely love this show! I wait impatiently for his wonderful wife to upload the shows to iTunes (Thanks Jenny!) I have learned so much, I listen at work keeping notes on a post-it pad. I've tried to stream it live online but really the podcast is so much better simply because you can rewind something you didn't quite catch. Also, listen to The Medicine Men podcast. It's a different format: one topic discussed by two knowledgeable men instead of a call in Qand A show of several topics back to back. Anyway, I've been listening for a couple years now and I hope they continue on. I really have gotten such value out of it, I'd like to see a "donate" button on the website, or I may just mail a check.

I have listened to "the balancing point" and benefited not only from the subject matter, but the questions people call in with to ask about.  John Nieters is a wonderful health resource, and this radio show is an extension of that!

What I like most about the show is that it gives a broad view, and often detailed depiction of health issues, and a professional analysis of the big picture.  I know I can call and get an answer or helpful perspective to my questions, or listen and learn something new each time.

Sorting through information is difficult, especially if you don't follow it or stay ahead of certain trends, the topics of conversation are valid, current, informative and integral.

I also keep my radio dialed and alarm set, and have been introduced to a whole realm of talk shows that I enjoy.

After listening ... I now get "it"!

In this radio show, Dr. Nieters shares alternative ways of preventing and treating chronic diseases through a holistic, educational and compassionate approach.  He urges each of us to "ask the questions" that will help us be more proactive in taking care of our own health issues.  He suggests building a team of medical advisors - utilizing both eastern and western medicines.  He encourages us to search for the "cause" rather than just "treat the symptoms".

I can honestly say that this radio show has impacted my life in a very positive way - and that I now have started my own wellness journey.  I encourage you to take the time to check it out for yourself.

    Thanks Dr. Nieters!

The Balancing Point is a health radio talk show, Thursdays 8-9 am on KEST 1450 AM.   You can call in every week and ask any health related question.  The host, John Nieters, is an acupuncturist, herbalist and health educator.    He will take any question and sort out options with the caller.  I always learn something from the show and sometimes call in with questions.

This program is a great resource for anyone interested in learning how to maintain or improve their health or for anyone who needs help with a specific disease or condition. As a nurse, I like to stay aware of new medical findings, but there is so much disinformation in the mainstream media that it is sometimes difficult to know what to believe. John has a gift for making trully useful health information accessable.

I'm in the tri-state area (New York City, New Jersey, Connecticut) , and I found The Balancing Point on iTunes. It's been the best find ever. I've learned sooo much listening to this podcast.  John NIeters is extremely knowledgeable and provides listeners with a complete picture of the range of options (both eastern and western medicine) available to us. I wish I could listen to the show live and be able to call. There is no show like it here in the east coast. Dr. Nieters might consider connecting with a station in this area to broadcast his show here too.

OMG this show has it all. That John Neiters is a one stop shop for all that ails you.  I would love to see him in person. I think i will get some acutpucture. I called into the show with a question about chronic arthritis and he responded with herbs, supplements and gave me the low down and dirty about my problem.
