This just hasn't been my month. A friend who I hadn't seen in a very long time suggested we meet up at the "usual spot" in Adams Morgan. For us, that was Zucchabar. Of course it has been so long since we have gotten together that the last time we had been at Zucchabar we had a Jenna Bush sighting (not pretty- she was all over her guy friend/boyfriend/whatev) but that is another story.
We arrive at the address to find that it is still a bar..but changed names. Not ownership, thank goodness. Hal is a cool guy - we did time together in the tech industry.
We were psyched to find that not too many people have caught on to our secret. The Attic is far enough out of the fray that it is never overly crowded like Tryst or Heaven/Hell can get. And the three buck beers are still here on Friday and Saturday night (only Bud, unfortunately). The only noticeable change was Skins posters on the wall and a bunch more televisions turned to sports stations.,
