If you're looking to have any non-surgical work done, look no further. Dr. Assassa is a genius! As I've gotten older, my cheeks and jowls have started to sag. I wanted to see if there was a way to fix them so I went to a couple doctors to find out. The first doctor took one look at me and decided I not only needed Radiesse AND Restalyne to plump up my cheeks, but also botox for my eyes and juvederm for my lips - wtf?! I personally have zero issue with my eyes and lips. Big surprise, this doc's total estimate was almost $4K.
I then went to Dr. A who took one look and said, some Radiesse for your cheeks and you'll be all set. When I questioned him about my eyes and lips, Dr. A smiled at me and said (and I quote) "Sweetheart, you're only 35 years old! You don't need any of that stuff yet!" On top of that, I asked him about fat injections (which last 5-8 years). He said that was a great possibility for me in the future, but that he always liked to start with fillers that only last a year so that, in the rare case I was unhappy with how I looked, I wouldn't be stuck with it for longer than that. Needless to say, I was sold. Dr. A's total? $1400.
Having never had fillers, I'll admit I was nervous about the procedure, since I had read that Radiesse could be extremely painful. Turned out my nerves were totally unwarranted. Dr. A and his staff were WONDERFUL - caring and sweet. It wasn't nearly as painful as I expected, and the whole thing went as smoothly as could be. The best part? I LOVE THE RESULTS! My cheeks look healthy and plump and most important, TOTALLY NATURAL. I look exactly like myself, just rested and much less gaunt. I can only shudder to think at how plastic I may have looked had I gone to that other doctor. I will absolutely be returning to Dr. A in a year to have the fat transfer done. I'm thrilled that I've found a careful, skilled doc who I can trust - I'm ready to put my aging in his hands! :) -

still hairy everwhere (except below my hairy knees)

I highly recommend Dr. Assassa. The consultation was with Dawn (?) and she was very knowledgeable about all the products and was very patient with all my questions. I got the MesoCellulite and IPL and I was happy with the results. Dr. Assassa, his nurses and receptionists are super nice, as well. The whole experience (although a little painful) was great.
I've recommended him to my friend for hair removal and she loved him too. She already had a hair removal procedure done but it didn't remove everything. I recommended the doc and she had the same review. Great experience, nice staff, patient with questions and best of all - affordable (when comparison shopping).
I plan on getting my hair removal done here and if I needed any other procedure done, I'd check out his website which is very user friendly. -

honestly i've been lil weary of writing this since *they watch this site* they even made up FLYERS that say "Give Us a Good Review on Yelp and Google reviews!" & actually hand them to you & TELL you to on your way out! Seriously! very unorganic & really says alot i think now looking back (though they didn't do that until my last followup visit here about a 18 mo. ago).

i had "Smart"Lipo *TWICE* because 1st time didn't make a huge difference. but guess what? the 2nd time it didn't either & it HURT LIKE A M*THERF*CKER! 2X and counting: apparently i'm allowed to go back for more free surgeries until i'm happy w/ it which is nice on paper but judging on his attitude while having to do it over and the WAY HE DUG IN THERE differently than the 1st time *HARDER* w/ more ~blood coming out~ and hardly any fat, i swear he seemed MAD AT MY SKIN! and just wanted to do it EXTRA HARD so that he wouldn't have to do it/see me ever again.
accordingly even though i suppose i could go back A 3RD TIME and 4th, etc. (again- the girl said 'for the rest of your life' & again looking back- not a great vote of confidence!) but since he hasn't got it right 2 times & the 2nd time was so much worse than the 1st it's like
'Fool me once...'
oh & i have SCARS + instead of enough of the fat i now have hard, hard to get rid of *SCAR TISSUE* in there! granted i am a slow healer and scar easy but still sucks! that reminds me- when i said that him and his lady friend (from the mother county!) YELLED AT ME cuz i didn't "massage". (no joke i honestly heard them say that but because of their ACCENT i couldn't understand half of what they were saying & thought they said 'message'!)
anyway, like i said i don't think i'll be back but i'm sure after writing this i probably wouldn't be welcome anyway since the phony-but-nice girls probably have to report this to Dr. A. even if not though- like i said unless i want more BLOOD TAKEN *i'm over it*! i'm burning my bridges here i guess, but it feels good to let it out! sure he's an ok guy, but obviously liposuction isn't his strong suit.
~He took my "BEFORE" PICTURES but even w/ the 2nd surgery AND follow ups HE NEVER TOOK MY "AFTER" PICTURES!~
Mercy Star for the small difference *but* it's been 2 years since then and i've lost some weight so it's really hard to know whether it was this or just me. it bothers me every day cuz really i'll never know and i went and popped my plastic cherry here for nothin'. basically i chalk it up to a bad time in my life where i had a buncha cash. like i didn't even check him at all really- just did it. hopefully this helps someone else cuz even if you're rich like i was: it's not worth it.

Stay away from this place! I had IPL done here about 7 years ago, and I was burned very badly. The technician that worked on me set the frequency too high, and I ended up bleeding and scabbing, which I didn't see until I went home and took a look in the mirror. I mentioned this to the nurse but she said I'll be fine, just put ice over it. She was really afraid that I was going to see the burn and freak out about it and played it off as not being that bad. I went to Dr. Assassa (he probably doesn't even remember me) and I had complained to him about this incident, which has happened more than twice. Of course there was no admittance to any wrongdoing whatsoever. I also spoke with a lady that worked there that booked the appointments and provided the consultatioons and offered me free laser hair removal to make up for the IPL burning incident, which I accepted. However, when I came back in for my 4th laser hair removal treatment, I was denied. I found out that she didn't work there anymore and that Dr. Assassa never approved the free laser hair removal sessions. I had to argue with Dr. Assassa that he needed to take responsiblity for the actions of his employees even if they aren't working there anymore and provide the treatment free of charge as promised. It was even noted in my files, written out in plain English. But his argument still was, "I never approved this." Talk about running a very unethical and bad business. First the screw up was the burning, now no accountability for the free sessions. Do not go here unless you want to get screwed over. Their prices are lower than most, but you get what you pay for. I just couldn't believe he would talk to anyone like that. Talk about a doctor with little class or concern for his patients. I got so upset at one point that I told him I would report his practice the the medical board. I mentioned of malpractice insurance because I've worked in insurance, but of course I'm sure he understimated my knowledge because I was only 23 at the time. And you know what he said to me? "Go ahead and sue me." Please feel free to contact me for more information in regards of this practice.
