As Lorrie M. has noted, this is one seriously luxurious set of stores - your wallet had better be pretty darn fat if you want to have some fun here.  With brands like Montblanc, Club Monaco, Gucci and Mark Shale flanked by the likes of Bloomingdale's, be ready to go hard or go home.

Sadly, I went home XD  Good window shopping though!

    Classy, elegant, and overly expensive.

This is a small and narrow mall in the middle of the Magnificent Mile. Three floors of stores that I would probably never shop at on a regular basis, except for maybe Charming Charlie's.

The Nordstrom is huge and it has a Louis Vuitton in it! I've never seen that before.

FYI: This is the only mall I've ever seen to have table cloths in its food courts. :P

    Bloomingdales = 5.
    Christofle = 5.
    Mont Blanc = 5.

The rest of the stores.....meh......but perhaps that is a good thing considering how much cash you could drop at the first three.

Bring your wallet and don't be shy, this is a location filled with luxury products and services so you will not find Gap or Old Navy here. My favorite store here is the Gucci store and it helped that they were having a healthy sale when I went to check them out even tho I ended up across the street at LV.

This is where you can find the big brands and if you're not shy, they won't be shy to sell it to you. The store has great hours so you can browse late into the night and it's next door to State and Rush St shops as well as Delaware shops!

    Landmark Review:
$$$$ cha ching as you ring up at the cash register. Be prepared to spend a lot of money if you shop at the 900 shops. It is one of the most luxurious malls on the Mag Mile containing many name brand and designer stores. Some of my favorite stores/restaurants to visit include Frankie's pizza, J. Crew, and William Sonoma. Other stores that maybe of interest include coach, montblanc, and bloomingdale.

Hidden gem: Sign up for the 900 visitor program card for additional savings in select stores. Discount parking if you buy from the shops and night time special for parking as well.

You know you're in an ultra-fancy shopping mall when Bloomingdales, Lululemon and J Crew are the LEAST expensive stores in the whole place.

And from my perspective, that's not exactly a bad thing - you can go hunting for bargains in the above spots while you window shop, drool, and people watch in the rest of the designer stores in this gorgeous six-level mall.

Around this time of year, there is an enormous, flawlessly decorated Christmas tree inside the mall and plenty of Gold Coast families lining up to have their kids' pictures taken with Santa.

I'd highly recommend this place if you're in the area and want to get out of the bitter cold for a few hours. Snag a sale sweater at J Crew, grab a sandwich at  Potbellys, and perfect your peripheral vision people watching skills while you stroll by the Gucci store. It'll be a good time.

This is a beautiful mall on the Mag mile that houses some of the most luxurious stores in the city.

You can find some good deals at Bloomies, Williams-Sonoma, and J. Crew...other than that you better be ready to spend some serious dough here.

Warning: Some of the employees have a lot of attitude - just play the game...it's fun to pretend to be rich :-)

I came in here earlier today to shop for a new wallet; I ended up not buying a wallet, but rather a couple new coats. My wallet's a-hurtin' right now, but my coats look damn good on me!

This is a shop- a-holic's dream!

A Mall that has Equinox on the Lower Level, All the high line shops on floors 2-5 and restaurants and cafes on 5 and six is the perfect shopping sandwich...I  just made that up.

Basically, I could not get enough of it!

    The end.

When I want to shop in Chicago, this is where I start. I love this mall. When I was younger my family and I would visit on Christmas day and window show shop - litterally, because everything was closed - after high tea at the Drake Hotel. We're Jewish, there wasn't much else to do on Christmas...

This mall has everything I want. And no princess jokes please. I can't afford anything there either. But it's fun to look!

The 900 N. Michigan mall is one place for luxury shoppers. I felt little bit out of place when I stepped in here last year to get out of the cold.

The mall is definitely upscale and not apologetic about it, in the good sense. The multi-floor mall is beautiful, clean, spacious and uncontested, even during the holiday season. I suppose there aren't a lot of people who can afford this level of luxury.

High end designer stores, all of which I've never heard of, populate the place. Macy's is found at the rear of the mall as it is a Potbelly's, so I suppose there are exceptions.

But really, if you are looking for high-end clothing, jewelry and merchandise in general, 900 N. Michigan is your place to shop for luxury merchandise.

I enjoy shopping at 900 North, although I usually walk out with less than I would anywhere else.  Bloomingdales carries a lot of coats--the winter sale is supposed to be one the best for quality/price.

Some of my other favorites here: L'Occitane, United Colors of Benetton, Lalique (purely window-shopping), and the chocolate stores.  Tucci Benucch is great for a lunch break of casual Italian fare.

A really nice looking mall - great stores (although some spendy ones!)  It closes kind of early, which is a shame (only got to check out my favorite Lululemon). Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area (hope to come back someday).

THe pricier end of the Magnificent Mile - includes Bloomingdale's, Gucci, Mark Shale, J.Crew, Stuart Weitzman, MaxMara, Mario Tricoci Salon & Spa and Williams-Sonoma.  Check out their website http://www.shop900.com/

Why does this place close so early?  I would have loved to have gone into so many of the shops here but alas they all had closed doors except for Bloomies.

900 N and Nordstorm's are the only malls worth shopping at on Michigan Avenue. The 900 N never feels crowded once you get inside and has a much better selection of stores compared to their competition across the street - Water Tower Place. I like that 900 N has little cafe tables and couches in the main level, it makes it feel more inviting and casual. But, the reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I remember when it used to have a movie theatre and I think they should bring it back.

Mainly high end shops including a Bloomingdales.  The architecture is inspiring and I love the foliage and shiny rails.  It would be better to introduce mid-level shops to attract more people since the place can get empty.

it's one of my favorite malls in michigan ave. i used to just come here to buy things, and go home.
they'll have some sale events here, u can get pretty good deal, and kinda high quality. but not many things fit my style, i usually just shop at the first floor, makeup, shoes, and bags.
others like clothes are really not my style....
