They call this place a BAR but the food is Amazing and it is more of a Gastropub.

They have a huge selection of Beers which I enjoy and the food is very tasty, the pizzas, the salads, and my favorite thing I have to order every time is the Nutella Pizza for desert.  It is to die for and comes warm and hits the spot.

The Top 3 Reasons Why I Love 3rd Stop:

    1. Happy Hour!
    2. Cool Beer Selection!
    3. Good Service!

Nice place to grab a drink and a bite to eat. Service has always been friendly and fast. Also, they don't skimp on the heat lamps on the patio. Literally think I caught a tan out there.
My only complaint is that once I went there and this annoying snarky guy was hosting trivia. But then, I'm biased since I kind of hate trivia. People got way too into it and were running past our table to turn in their answers.

But it's cool, I still love you guys.

Went there yesterday and it was good!
I tried the Purple Haze beer and that was very tasty!
    The bartender was really nice.
I had my first Kobe burger and it was SUPER tasty!
I will definitely go back for some more.

Con- Parking was a little difficult to figure out.

Went there the other night, the food Ii had the turkey burger, my daughter had nachos with chicken) was mediocre, at best.  At 8:30pm, it was possibly one of the loudest restaurants I've ever been to. All the walls are hard surfaces, as is the ceiling, plus the floor.  They have the music cranked up way loud, which causes everyone to talk louder and louder. It was a cacophony in there!  If the food had been great, then it might have mitigated the noise... But it wasn't so it didn't.

If you can get there before 7pm on a weekday they have a GREAT happy hour menu...

The $5 pizza, calamari and tacos are great...I LOVE the tacos if you cover them in the sauce they provide you...

The beer selection is good and the bartenders are some of the coolest in all of LA...can easily become your go to spot if you live in the neighborhood...worth checking out...trust!

I love this place, one of the only great places in this area! I live a couple blocks from here and it's tough to find a better place to go.  I'm from Chicago so when I say the pizza here is SUPER tasty and great, you know I know what I'm talking about.  The happy hour is great here, can't ever beat the $4 pizza!  All the other food is great as well, but have to mention the fish and chips, simply amazing!  The happy hour is good, but the wines used to be $4 and now it's $5, it should still be $4 as the competition not far is still $4 and the wine here is just average.  The staff is great here and friendly, if you haven't been here you should.

The 3rd Stop is quickly becoming my favorite gastropub in the greater LA area.  They have an excellent selection of beer and wine, and they just recently added a couple Soju cocktails to their menu that are unique and delicious!  I personally am a beer buff, so I've focused mostly on that menu.  They have a perfect selection of micro-brews, with a couple of really good larger names for a perfect balance.

As for food, everything on their menu is done fairly well, ranging from par to excellent.  I would highly recommend the Pizza, sliders, burgers, tacos, and the mac'n'cheese is a must try (although be careful, it's HOT).  The way the tacos and sliders work is awesome, because you order them individually and so you can try several different types in a sitting.  I'm focusing on the smaller menu items in this review, but don't be fooled, they have a few really good main dishes as well...a couple featuring organic chicken and fish.

Their happy hour prices are amazing for both food and alcohol, probably the best I've seen so far in LA, and the people that come in are pretty chill...not douchey at all! ;-)

When I first started coming in (mid-late January as I recall) the service wasn't so great, but since then I've seen marked improvements every single time I've gone through there (I think last night would be my 7th visit or so), so to the GM I say: "keep up the good work!"

All in all, if you're looking for a casual place to eat, drink, hang with a crew, this is a good spot for you!  You know I'll be back...

Went here on a happy hour, huge selection of beers. Normally I don't really like beer, but some of them are really good! The food is delicious also. A little loud environment, maybe it's just the time I go. Waitress were so busy, they don't seem like they are in a good mood.

This is a place that I will continue to go to despite the fact that I do not LOVE it. It is a great go-to place for a casual drink, bar-food, last minute reservation. You should not have trouble getting in ever. The service is not great, the food is hit or miss, it has a good menu of alcohol, and its a comfortable.

Great selection of draft beers! There's a beer menu- Gotta love it! The food has never disappointed. The service was not too bad either. There were times we waited to order the next round, but as far as LA goes, the service is not bad.

They have a late night happy hour. Great move! We've pondered many nights for a good late night spot.

They definitely need more customers. No matter what time I drive by there, it's always semi-half seated.

I don't drink alcohol so no review on that.

Food is better than expected, but pricey. Unless you bought one of them daily deals.

    Lovely bartenders.

I came with some friends after work to wind down during their happy hour (which is now 12-7pm daily).

They have a great selection of draft beers, which are $4 during HH. They have a few wines and sangria, but they're mostly known for their beers. I ordered their pear cider, which is my favorite beer. We also ordered pepperoni pizza and tuna tartare, which were also $4 each. The pizza was greasy but when you're tired and you have beer, whatever right? And the tuna tartare was pretty good, but it only came with 3 small pieces.

Overall, 3rd Stop is decent for when you're simply looking to have a couple of beers with your friends.

Although I've lived in Los Angeles for almost 20 years, this was my first visit to The 3rd Stop. HOW could I have passed this place by? If it wasn't for a friend recommending meeting there, I would have never known it existed.

It's a great little place with a great seating inside and out front. The tables outside are a little close together, but no more so than other places around the area.

We had the tartar appetizer as well as the shrimp skewers and they were fantastic. Dinner consisted of a spinach and caeser salad which were equally delish. For dessert we got the "nutella" pizza and it was TO DIE FOR!

Highly recommend this place for a cocktails with friends or dinner!

Came just for drinks for a friend's goodbye party (although I think one of two people had food).  It was pretty quiet - our group of 8 was at least half the people in the bar - but I suppose it was a weekday.

There's nothing special about this place but there's nothing bad about it.  They have a lot of beers on tap, which was a nice surprise, and the beer price was good at $6.  The added bonus is you can drink for (relatively) cheap in Beverly Hills and hopefully meet some wealthy sugar momma to take you home.  It could happen.

I didn't expect much from this place, but I also didn't expect horrible service and a waiter from Eastern Europe with a phony Italian accent . . . his english was beyond terrible. It was NOT a busy night when my sis and I arrived- he kept forgetting everything. Seriously. The beer was great, they have a good white belgium I hadn't found in LA before. Also the food was ok at best, but nothing special. I wasn't there for happy hour so I can't comment on that. Never going back here unless I need a good laugh, because I'm not a usual beer drinker. And the service was S L O W . . . plan to wait for your food for like an hr. seriously. In fact, I don't think these people work for tips, it felt like being in a shitty European restaurant! The food is crap.

A pretty casual laid back place, even when I was there on NYE. Their beer selection was impressive, and the hors d'œuvres were decent. What did wreck my experience though was waiting in line for 15 minutes for 2 dudes to get out of the bathroom. Then the guy behind me puking on my shoes while we were waiting.

Maybe I'll give it another shot when I'm in the area, it seems like a chill place to grab a few drinks after work.

So, I stopped back in the other night, after a few months away, and made sure to come hungry. I decided to go with the pizza. Can you say "mediocre"? I can safely say that I've had "Tombstone" frozen pizzas that were better.
The crust was far too soft, which surprised me because they have a stone oven. The sauce was very boring and average, quite similar to something you'd get straight out of a jar. It was such a disappointment after enjoying the food here for so long. I highly suggest going elsewhere if you want great pizza, because 3rd Stop is certainly missing the boat here.

was introduced to this place by my coworker who lives right around the corner. good happy hour prices and free pringles :D

i think we knocked back double digit glasses of wine and ordered the following:

-goat cheese, sundried tomato & pesto pizza (DELICIOUS and not on the happy hour menu)
-the mac & cheese (my coworker scraped the bowl clean)
-the tuna tartare from the HH menu (not good IMO)

i think the food NOT on the happy hour menu is probably better that the ones on the happy hour menu. but what do you expect? this isn't drago centro or chaya. it's a chill place to grab drinks & quick munchies after work. get over it.

Go for the beer, not the food.  Built into the concept of a gastropub is the idea of good tasting food well matched with great beer. Seems to have been lost on this place.

This joint has a very solid selection of beers on tap.  I had one of my faves, Chimay, while my wife had a good chocolatey port and our friend had a good heffe.  Great beers, well pulled, and in the right glasses. And  cheap.  My only star is for the beer.

With our beers, they brought Pringles for the table and I knew it was a sign to run.  Sadly, the Pringles were the best food in our meal. Appetizer was fried calamari - overly salted and served with runny tomato sauce clearly from a jar. My wife had fish and chips - a necessary pub meal any pub should master - but apparently not here. Fish was dripping with oil evoking a certain Exxon Valdez flavor and the fries were as overcooked as my great aunt's meatloaf made in a toaster oven under a dusty portrait of President Reagan. My friend's sandwhich was as unappealing as my nicoise salad. I don't care what any chef says - the center of an iceberg lettuce is more cardboard than food stuff and shouldn't be served to peasants, prisoners or pets. The dressing was disgusting, the chunks of tuna grey.  I picked out the anchovies and hard boiled egg and called it a day.

The server didn't seem to notice that none of us finished our meals. Perhaps that is normal here.

From what little we ate there, my wife and I are still feeling sick to our stomachs.

But hey, the beer is cheap and plentiful. So by all means go here to drink.  But don't confuse this establishment with a real gastropub.

The boyfriend and I stopped by here on a quiet Sunday evening. It wasn't crowded at all...pretty empty actually.

We plopped down and the bar and we were greeted with a bowl of pringles...I love those things....can never eat just one!

We ordered the great white beer, some lamb skewers and dessert...chocolate pizza.

They had a good beer selection and everything was around 6 bucks which is a plus.

The food was ok.... I want to come back to try the burger it looks delish and maybe even happy hour which is 4-7 and you get a free cheese pizza.

PS on Saturday they have  great burger and pizza special for like 1 dollar from 9-10 pm....I'll definitely be back for that recession proof option!

i love this place. I really do. It's like "Cheers" for me.

It's a great place to go with friends because there is always space, even for a rather large party, and it's quiet enough to hear each other speak. Last night from 8-9 they had margarita pizza for $1...yes ONE DOLLAR! From 9-10 they had cheeseburgers for a dollar, but I don't eat meat, so I just stuck with my little pizza.

3rd Stop is super duper chill, is small enough to be called intimate, and has a great ambiance. Good food, great dessert (nutella crepes? YUM!!!), and  well-priced wine and beer.

This place is a fun midnight hang out stop for munchies and reasonably priced drinks.

The sweet potato fries were well done.  I'm usually not a fan but they were really good here.  The truffle fries had more garlic flavor than truffle but it was still good.  Sliders were a bit dry.. but at 1 in the morning, it all tastes good.

If your going to charge a 340% premium on the wines, then you better at least have great wines and food to match.

Birthday stop last night. The seven of us were seated in the corner and had a good time, ordering drink after drink. The birthday boy loves the place because it's one of the only bars in the area that has his favorite beer, a 1664. (Forgive me, I know nothing of beer but I just know that's all he ordered!)

They do in fact have an extensive beer list. I had to specifically request the wine list. The others also got a bottle of malbec. I took a sip....and decided to order my own glass of something else separately. I think the bottle just needed to be aired out more, but its smell and taste was akin to a cigar lounge. My pinot noir was a little better, but a tad warm.

OH, at around 11 pm, the waiter brought out their nutella pizza (on the house, with a birthday candle). It was presented on a 6" cast iron pan - flat, crispy, sugar-coated dough sandwiching nutella, berry jam and mascarpone cheese. MMMmmMM! I know what's inside but I need the recipe for the bottom and upper crust. It was delicious!!! And comped. :)

The service was great at the beginning. He kept on checking on us and got us our drinks promptly. We couldn't find him past midnight for the check though...

The crowd was pretty random; there were couples outside smoking, a few couples who dined inside, and another big group. I was later informed 3rd Stop had given us a difficult time for a 8 pm reservation when it was clear to everyone this place was pretty dead the whole time we were there.

They did play several soccer, baskeball and football games.

Valet parking was $6. They pulled my car up 3 feet.

There are definitely other great bars in the area, but I guess it's a good spot if you just want to chill with a couple friends without any attitude, noise or crowd.

Ah, the local Cedars-Sinai watering hole.

I come here if I've had a really long day at work and/or traffic is a horrible mess on Robertson or La Cienega. Sometimes, I also come and watch a Laker game. It's a peaceful bar where you can sit by yourself and enjoy a beer with sliders, and no one will really harass you. I think the staff is used to doctors trying to recover from the day just sitting by themselves, and also to large parties of nurses/doctors/admin staff having group happy hour. I see a lot of both when I go.

I love this place just because it's:

    1. The closest pub to work (1 block away from my lab at CSMC)
    2. The decent tap list

If I ever need a Stone IPA, I stay here for half an hour and sip my beer, and order the sliders or fish tacos. I love a place that knows my name (or at least, my face) and leaves me be. Then again, it is simultaneously a good place to bring groups, like I mentioned earlier, but they are never ridiculously loud or belligerent so the vibe is surprisingly mellow and welcoming.

I'd give it one more star if it carried at least one beer over 10% that ISN'T an import.

Nothing special.  Probably a good place to meet doctors after their shift is over, being across from Cedars-Sinai.  I was seated at the bar last Thursday, and I had three guys in scrubs to my right.  So golddiggers, go nuts I guess.

They have happy hour until 7pm.  Standard stuff.  I had a pizza, and it was not bad.  Drank the house cabernet.  Decent.

The bartenders were attentive I guess, at least when it came to drinks.  At once point, someone asked if they could get the sound turned on for the Chargers game.  "No," was the one-word reply.  Not a "Sorry, we aren't allowed" or any kind of expression of sympathy.  Just, "No".  I felt bad for the couple who asked for it.  No remorse whatsoever from the blonde who denied them.  I guess they would rather play crappy music instead.

    One word review: Meh.

I went on a date here, that - sadly - ended up taking me and him nowhere.
However, it was nice to finally try this place out.

Parking is valet. Thumbs down; however, I do understand this is LA.

The place is casual and not pretentious. It is also a good size and has outdoor seating. Thumbs up!

Beer selection was good. We nibbled on food. It was a Monday night and it was pretty empty, but not sadly so. They played sports on the old boob tube and the atmosphere was relaxed and fun.

I think Anna K said it best - it does seem like somewhere where everybody knows your name. And they are ALWAYS glad you came.

3 stars because it's nothing to write home about - just a nice little place in a city oftentimes filled with either crap or too expensive places.

Finally!  I pissed off someone on yelp!  Oh wait, no...she's not on yelp.  And I apparently offended her because I don't drink beer?  And she thinks I'm pretty?  And have an observant eye (hey, hottie bartender!  holla!).

I find this extremely hilarious as someone known to like her hard alcohol, I do get asked about beer joints.  I recommend 3rd Stop all the time to people.  If that is not a useful, funny and cool thing, I don't know what is.

Yelpers just like to have fun with their reviews, yo.  I already told my mom when I went to Journalism school I wasn't going to be the next Connie Chung.  Eater LA and her should just accept that fact.

OK folks, you go to 3rd Stop because you like beer.  That's it, really.  They have a minimal wine list, and no liquor.  The food is mediocre and over-priced.  Beer, yelpers, beer.  It's glorious.

Onwards... they have a couple dozen beers, almost all respectable, and they cost $6 a pint. No, that's not a steal, but there simply aren't enough bars in Los Angeles with a decent set of draught beers.   Sigh.  I can't wait until Los Angeles embraces the microbrew trend with the fervor it has embraced Ugg boots.

Moving on. Great beer, mediocre food, service that always seems harried, even when the 'gastropub' is empty.

Frankly, 3rd Stop just isn't as good as Library Alehouse, and even though LA needs more bars where they pour a decent pint, I'm leaning towards 3 stars for 3rd Stop.

But I saw Morrissey here.  So, rounding up.

good if you only want alcohol.

bad if you want food to go with your drinks.

SUCH a disappointment. working across the street at Cedars-Sinai, you'd think this place was poppin' with people who want to relax after work. nope. why? the quality of the food is terrible. my bf ordered some kind of fried ball (shrimp fritter??) before i arrived at the bar. i ate one and had no idea what kind of mess i was eating. the staff is not very attentive either.

this place is dead for a reason.

they have beers on tap. i would come here for a beer and only eat their free pringles served at the bar.

Me: "Can I get a gin & tonic and a red bull vodka?"
    bartender: "We don't serve liquor"

*me looking confused at my friend*

    Me: "What did he say?"
    Friend: "They don't serve liquor."
Me: *looking at bartender* "You don't serve liquor?"
    Bartender: "We don't serve liquor."
    Me: "What?"
bartender: *frustrated* "We don't serve liquor!"
Friend: "Tristen he said they don't serve liquor."
Me: "I don't understand. What do you mean you DON'T serve liquor? This is a bar right?"

That's right folks. Don't come here if you don't like beer and wine because that's all they got. The decor and atmosphere is fun and there's plenty of hot people.... just no liquor. And so we took ourselves to another bar with liquor and hot people.

Well smack my ass and call me retarded, this is a pretty good neighborhood spot for a pint of something tasty and a bite or two.

I went for the first time with one of my bro's to check the scene out.  First things first, I couldn't tell that you ordered everything from the bar.  That includes food, alcohol etc.  I've had friends go sit down and not realize they needed to do that, so it wasn't just us.  That being said, I figured out I needed to order, so I ordered us some sausage sandwiches, fries and tasty brew.

We sat and waited.  And waited.  And waited.  And waited.  And finally, there was the food.  Now, I don't expect to drive up to a place, raise one finger like Fred Flinstone and then moments later have a skinny lil thing bring me a brontosaurus-sized hunka meat to make my car tip over.  But I waited a little bit long.

The food was good n tasty, portion sizes ok and the beer was good.  I didn't see any $5 beer on that menu so whoever's claiming that, knock it off.

The crowd was fun and lively.  When I went to order more beer, some drunk gal was clearly hitting on me after having been dumped that day.  Erm...ummm...uh...white men can't jump and I don't play basketball so look elsewhere for a rebound.

The bill came, it was a little expensive but ya know what, it was ok.  The best part was I'd smartly found street parking a couple blocks away.  If you're going anywhere in this neighborhood, rock the street parking if you can but don't get towed.  That's more expensive and not worth it.

Enjoy the beer, enjoy the munch munch, be selective on who you take home and you'll be ok (and for the record, I didn't even ask for her number.)
