I've eaten in the restaurant for lunch, and done takeout for dinner.  The in-restaurant experience was better, but that's usually the case when dealing with sushi.  The fresher the roll, the better.

I really like the fried spicy tuna.  Their curry dishes are good too.

It's a great place to go for a work lunch, they're quick, the food is consistent and the the lunch specials are very versatile.

It's very clean too!

Corporate lunch - 15 people -

we got seated at tables there were combined  but still didn't have enough room, so we asked for another table to be combined.  They were very reluctant to do even though they were tables open.  After a few minutes of the other party next to us left, then they decided to add another table for us.
Our food took us 45 minutes to deliver.  Ok, appetizers took them 45 mintues to deliver.  Entrees came 10 seconds later.  My boss took one sip of his soup and he was forced to push aside it as our waiter decided to place the entree right in front of him.
on thursdays they are run free appetizers with entrees.  Honestly they can skip the appetizers as i got tom yum soup which is ok, but the entrees (which i got tofu lemon grass with white rice) was skim on the tofu (some pieces of the tofu were cold which leads me to believe it was cooked and left on the counter, heavy on the spice, big thick vegetables (not porportionate to the meal) .  When a restaurant adds tons of hot sauce and spices to cover the meal, to me, they are hiding something.

I would not come back here again or bring a date here.

If you know me at all, you know that this is not something I do:

Scenario-A co-worker/friend and I decide sushi for lunch so we head over to Thai Urban Kitchen

Fast forward to paying:

Me: I'm not tipping her, she was rude and unattentive
Me: I look at the receipt, place "0" in the tip section, write the total on the total line, and sign the receipt
Waitress: Comes to get the leather folds and looks at my receipt
Waitress: I didn't include the tip on these
Me: "Oh, I know!" And I proceed to leave the restaurant
Waitress: Yells at me, "Don't come back"

What the heck? Am I obligated to tip for bad service? I think not. I'm so over TUK! Never, ever again. I'm sure I can find Thai and Sushi, even better, at another place.

The one star rating may be influenced by my currently-unhappy-feeling-tummy, but the lunch experience I had today warranted, at the most, two stars.

I'll start at the end: for a party of five, 20% gratuity was added on to the bill already. Though I believe in generous tipping, I am never a fan of automatic gratuity. I can understand it for a party of 8+, but for 5?!? At lunch? Ridiculous....Especially when the service was slow and spotty. Our waitress had a nice demeanor, but we only saw her three times in the hour and a half (that's right...lunch lasted an hour and a half) that we were there. Not. good.

So we dined on sushi, which arrived after a wait of 30+ minutes since we ordered. I understand that ordering a lot of sushi sometimes takes time, but more than 30 minutes at lunch is an excessively long time to wait. And, once we got the sushi, they forgot two of our rolls...

The food: the sashimi platter was adequate, if nothing special. The maki rolls that came out initially (minus the missing spicy tuna rolls) were pretty good. The spicy tuna rolls were dissapointing. The rolls were also small - we ordered a few more to make up for it, but the new rolls were the most dissapointing of all, with the rice very guey.

Sorry, Thai Urban Kitchen, I won't be back.

The food is decent - the service ...well let's just say it isnt the most attentive or friendly.  The appetizer I had came out cold even though it was a steamed dumpling ... the sesame plate was ok ...nice sauce and spice but nothing extra special.  Solid lunch place with semi ok prices.

Ok, first review on yelp so bear with me...

I've gone to TUK several times and I really love their food.  Their sushi rolls are so good and I especially love the crispy sea bass.

My only problem with the place is the service.  It is TERRIBLE.  The last two times I have been there, I have had the "pleasure" of being "helped" by Nate, or shall I call him "NOT."  We had to ask him three times for our appetizer (which he never ended up bringing) and when he brought me the wrong entree, I had to wait 25 minutes for the right one.  We thought the manager would comp us SOMETHING but sadly, no.  At the end of the meal, Nate winked at us and brought us a complimentary mojito.  One.  There were three of us.  None of us drank it.  We left a tip we felt would properly reflect our dissatisfaction, but who knows.  We're probably banned for life.

Additionally, when "NOT" came to our table to take our order, he greeted us with an unenthusiastic "what's up" and I swear I saw a puff of smoke (marijuana) escape from between his lips.  Every time he went into the kitchen we were convinced it was to either take another toke OR drop some Visine into his red stoner eyes.

Over the summer, some co-workers and I went to TUK for happy hour and NOT was our server.  He was completely unattentive and only came to our table once in 45 minutes.  We ended up ordering our second round from another server.  We were shocked to see that he was still working there in October.

As I said before, I really love the food at TUK and would hate to see it close.  Sadly, with the service as bad as it is, I can't imagine it staying open much longer.  Most people will simply not tolerate being treated so poorly.  Please get it together TUK!!!!

I ordered the lunch sushi box A with Miso soup. It was fresh tasting and pretty damn tasty for a delivered lunch. Far better than any pre-boxed sushi you can get at a grocery store on your lunch hour. However, there were 11 lunch orders delivered and they didn't mark what was what, which made it a wee bit confusing to figure out. also, my collegues who ordered bento boxes commented that they would have liked it if the many different parts of the "box" were all together. Not very box like.

They have an extensive menu, which made choosing an item a tad difficult for me as I get easily overwhelmed with choices.

Not the best dinner experience. Would not recommend.
I thought there's no Thai food I wouldn't like.
Everything from spring rolls and calamary to the sea food curry semed to be over or under coocked. My friend ordered duck in read wine. The duck died his own death at 100 yo. and taisted like he had a long bitter life.
Not a place to enjoy Thai cuisine.

Just came here for lunch and they have a nice lunch menu: $12/13 you get an appetizer and entree for the Thai cuisine.  Similar prices for the sushi selection.  Not an everyday lunch place but when you're feeling for a bit more fancy.

The ambiance is nice and the plating makes the food look extra delicious.  I had the crab rangoon with tofu pad thai.  The crab rangoon was delicious and not your traditional c.r.  You get the crab mixed with cream cheese mixture in the middle with crispy wonton skins on the side.  So you scoop as much or little as you want onto the skins and enjoy! No sweet and sour sauce needed.

The tofu pad thai wasn't that great.  The flavor was lacking and i've definitely had better.  The portions are good for lunch though so I would come back.  Next time I'll get something other than pad thai though.

Only been once, for all-you-can-eat sushi night, so I can't speak to anything else on the menu. The sushi was good not great (not nearly as good as Oysy, in my opinion), but if you're really there to eat ALL you can eat, it's a good value. One thing I really liked was that they included (some of their) appetizers on the all-you-can-eat menu, so we were able to get some dumplings and stuff like that along with the sushi. We were able to get things like dragon rolls and spider rolls in the all-you-can-eat, but their specialty rolls were not included. I'd go back if I were really hungry and really craving sushi, but otherwise I'll stick to Oysy.

This is an awesome find, at Ogilvie station. They were almost empty though on a Friday night... we walked around the Waldenbooks next-door passing time until our reservation time came around.

Service was great, and I enjoyed being able to order from the sushi menu or the thai menu--we mixed it up a bit. The surprise was that they even have dishes for vegetarians! And for dessert the poached pear was amazing! On a bed of green tea tapioca pudding. As any good thai restaurant will, they had a delicious fried banana dessert with delectable coconut ice cream w/ large coconut shavings mmm

I've only been once for dinner, didn't care for it much for that, but working a block down from it, I love the lunch specials ... they have great sushi rolls, and a nice appetizer/entree combo for lunch for around $10-$14.  So, I'm a fan for the lunch, it's a nice change from the other restaurants around Union Station.

Free Crab Rangoon? Free dumplings? Free appetizers with your entree? Whoa. It's in the loop, nothing is free in the loop... call it a loop tax if you will, but apparently your appetizer here can be.  Because of this we left fat and happy on this wonderfully sunny day.

We had always ordered delivery to the office from here, and today since it was so nice out ventured out to actually eat in the restaurant.  It was pretty cool, had a very contemporary feel.

I decided to try a sushi roll along with my pad thai, so we all shared a Fire Dragon roll.  It was really good all things considered that this is supposedly the thai urban kitchen, maybe that's what makes it urban, or perhaps since it's in the loop that solely qualifies it, but I digress.

I like it here, the office likes it here, we're all happy.  There aren't very many great Thai places in the loop and TUK makes it pretty high on the list of choices.

Since having my first real sushi experience about four years ago, I crave sushi. I had one of those cravings recently. Lucky for me, my fiance walked past Thai Urban Kitchen and noticed the all you can eat sushi special for $25. On Monday night, we decided to give it a try. The restaurant itself has a strong modern decor with white tables and black seating. The bar area is nicely separated from the main dining area. We sat down at one of the booths near the sushi bar.

The all you can eat sushi menu is like others I've seen in the city where you have eat responsibly and have some options on appetizers. For my first round of sushi, I had a fried spicy tuna roll, a spicy salmon roll, and some pieces of smoked salmon and hamatchi. The fried spicy tuna roll was a tasty twist on the spicy tuna roll. It was light and crisp with lots of spice. The spicy salmon roll was something that I hadn't seen before. It was decent and a little lighter than the tuna roll. My pieces were good as well. I tried some of the mister's dragon and Alaska rolls. The dragon roll's average and a little sparse. The Alaska roll is a nice surprise and pretty tasty.

For the second round of sushi, I got the Cherry Blossom roll and some more pieces. The cherry blossom roll is tasty and cool with its pink nori and explosion of flavors. The mister ordered the Rainbow roll which was light as well. Overall, the all you can eat sushi is decent here. It's better than another all you can eat place that I went to. I was disappointed to see that they didn't have lower sodium soy sauce.

The Thai Urban Kitchen has the decor thing down especially in the swanky bathroom where the trash cans are better than the one I have at home. The menu and sushi on the other hand could use some work.

An upscale Thai & sushi restaurant with a price.  The weekday lunch special is a Thai entree + appetizer for $12 or $13.  Sushi lunch specials include sushi combinations (2-3 rolls with a couple pieces of sashimi) for $12-13 and Bento boxes for $14-15.  There are dinner specials on M-Th too.

So far I've only tried the Tom Yum soup and Pad Thai with tofu, and both were pretty great.  The Pad Thai is made with thinner noodles and is "wetter" with more sauce than at many other Thai restaurants that make this dish a little drier.  However, I don't ever really crave Thai food, and if I do, I'll most likely opt for a $7 Pad Thai versus a $12 one from TUK.  You're definitely paying more for the presentation and atmosphere.

Entrance to TUK is from the lobby of the Ogilvie train station.

After extensive research on Yelp, my newly Yelp-convert best friend and I decide to try out Thai Urban Kitchen (Tamarind was the runner-up).

We love the look and feel of the place as we walked in and were looking forward to catching up over a good meal!

First came the realization that their so-called "vegetarian" food wasn't actually so - they used fish sauce and oyster sauce in all their cooking! The only vegetarian appetizer is the mint + vermicelli in rice wraps - which was very mediocre and over-powering on the mint.

My friend ordered the dumplings, which came out very dry.

For entrees, we got a Country-Style Spicy Curry - so when you say "spicy" - especially at a Thai restaurant - you need to put an ingredient called chillies! There were none! Absolutely bland curry!

We also ordered the Lemongrass Dish with Tofu - which was very dry and clumpy.

Maybe it's good for what it's meant to be  - a quick station lunch bite - but definitely not the nice dinner we were hoping to spend together!

Service was very slow (although friendly) and the place was empty for a Thursday night!

This is a classy place and perfect place for a date.  It's always pretty empty during dinner time, but I like that it's quiet.  I love their sushi rolls, and even better is their $27 (they recently upped the price even though the website still says $25) all you can eat sushi on Mondays and Tuesdays!  The regular menu can get pricey, but that's why I get my sushi there on Mondays!  I love their Godzilla, Fire Dragon, and Fried Spicy Tuna rolls!

Tips to enjoying Thai Urban Kitchen...

1. Go on Mondays for the $8 Pad Thai special...very good.
2. Be prepared for the stark atmosphere, and roll with it.
3. Consider it a good option for Loop biz lunches...as opposed to say...Potbelly's or some other steakhouse.
4. Can't beat the location if you are coming in from the suburbs via the Metra and need to eat, like...IMMEDIATELY.

So, yes. The atmosphere/location might be a bit obscure. However, if you are in this part of town on a Monday night, the Pad Thai is pretty stellar. HIghly recommended.

Also, the bathrooms are awesome.

That's all. :)

OK.. not too bad. I think I kinda likey. It's in a cool modern space. The pad thai was ok. It was different, the smoked tofu was an interesting touch. Interesting in a good way. The tempura was fantastic and felt a little indulgent. I liked but all that protein makes you full, fast. They also have sushi options. I'll say whatever to that despite being a  pretty random pairing. It's more of a "fusion" restaurant, otherwise just because we're all asian now, doesn't mean we're the same or taste the same honey.. SO STOP TRYING TO CASH IN on all the fads or food cravings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *wink, wink. *nudge, nudge. One of my pet peeves. Again, you're fusion so I'll forgive you. Instead of fusion though.. they just co-exist together with the two cuisines being loosely based upon the said category they're in.

Besides, I tried one of my friend's Mexican Maki and Cherry Blossom rolls and not too shabby at all. Atleast you do it right if you're thai and going the Japanese route also. Checkmate for you..  work on the pad thai though.

Me likey. Me likey A LOT. Best darn crab rangoooooon ever! At first I thought our waiter of few words brought out the wrong appetizer as the  crab rangoon looked like some sort of chip and dip concoction. But when I put it together and tasted it- holy cow, heavenly bliss.

I love the $12 entree and appetizer menu. The portions were very large and the service was efficient and quick.

I've had 2 fabulous meals at TUK in the past so I had a feeling the Yelp Eats promotion ($25 prix fixe menu)  would be pretty tasty...and it met (perhaps even exceeded) my expectations.  I met up with 3 of my girlfriends for dinner here and in this very NY atmosphere couldn't help, but feel like we were in an episode of Sex in the City.  We gossiped over delicious food...all that was missing was our cosmopolitans! However, we did have a bottle of wine.

While TUK is always crazy busy at lunch it tends to be a bit slower for dinner (note: you can always get into this fabulous restaurant for dinner) and this Tuesday night was no exception. There were probably about 5 other tables of people in the restaurant so we had lots of special attention from the waiter.

The food was excellent. I started with the mushroom gyoza, which my friends commented they wished they ordered after a bite. However, they were quite happy with their chicken sa-tae and pad thai as well. For my main entree I ordered the roasted amish chicken and I LOVED it! The chicken itself was delicious and was perfectly complimented with a ginger-garlic rice and shitake mushrooms.  Everyone else ordered the shrimp and chicken pad thai and I couldn't help, but steal a few bites here and there...very good!  I ordered the golden fried bananas for dessert, which had a custard sauce on the side. This was one of the best desserts I've had in a long time and in case you haven't noticed from my reviews...I"ve had a lot of desserts lately! I also had a few bites of the molten chocolate cake my friends ordered, which was deliciously rich.

There are 2 more nights of Yelp Eats so all that can be yours too for just $25!

Really disappointing.

Thai Urban Kitchen is kind of a cool name, but sadly does not have the food to do it justice. The menu felt like it was missing a lot of good thai options, but offered a dish that sounded interested, like a cave to be explored, the Black Noodle. Sadly however, like the rest of the restaurant, it had a cool name but poor substance within it. It basically tasted like a salty version of pad see ewe with a little black pepper thrown on.

It could potentially have a great atmosphere, with the sound of the fountain resonating in the restaurant, however its drowned out with crappy pop songs.

Overall, kind of a crappy experience. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Great Pad Thai, unique and Delicious Crab Rangoon!

Not sure why this yelp rating is not a little better? This place had everything I needed for lunch.

We called at 11am and made a reservation for 7 people at 12:30. No problem and the table was ready and waiting when we got there.

It is a mix of Thai food and Sushi. Half the table did Thai and half did Sushi. I did Thai.

My sushi companions were pleasantly full and quite satisfied with everything. One did mention that the white fish was a little too fishy but there were hardly any left overs?

I was more then satisfied with my Pad Thai. The portion was so large! I wish I lived in Chicago so I could make two meals out of it with a doggie bag. It tasted so, so, good!!!

The Crab Rangoon comes out like chips and salsa. Neat chips with a scoop of yummy crab. I loved it!! You just can't get good crab Rangoon in California so we ordered another one for the table after the first one went so quickly.

Decor is crisp and clean. Clean bathrooms. Great big display of champagne bottles and although I couldn't drink any at this lunch meeting- I like knowing they have it!

The service was just fine. Nothing to brag about, but he took my food order, brought our drinks, and re-filled my water.

The food was so scrumptious that this place gets a 5 for sure!!

I'm not sure what to make of TUK -- it's a lunch place of many contradictions:  It looks like a sleek, swanky bar, but it's in a corner of Oglvie Transportation Center.  Its prices are upscale, but its food is just slightly above average.   It's called _Thai_ urban kitchen, yet it is also serving sushi? and fruity drinks? Weird.

My two trips here were both pretty tasty, but not entirely satisfying. The servers seem confused by their little electronic order taking system, and it's hard to flag someone down if you need something.  The lunch menu ($13 for an entree plus an appetizer) is a little overpriced for what you're getting (at a typical Thai place where the food is just as good, you'd probably get the same for $8). The decor doesn't seem to match the clientele very well. It feels strange to have a regular work day lunch in a place that is decorated like a club.

But that said, I thought the crab rangoon was flavorful and nicely presented (the spring rolls I had today, not so great) and the pad thai with tofu is nice -- saucy and sweet, but not too greasy.

A good change of pace in the loop if you're sick of the same old sandwiches, and have an hour or so to sit down and cool out. But I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.

This place a bit of randomness for the area, but still a decent place for the west end of the working Loop.

I recently stopped in with some co-workers for lunch and had an enjoyable experience.  The inside is very spacious and modern which is a nice touch for this part of the city.  The service was good and fast for having higher quality fare then other places in this part of Loop.  Their menu ranges from Thai to Japanese and the dishes are above average compared to fast food Asian options in the area.  They also have a lunch menu where you can pick an appetizer to accompany your entree which is a nice touch.

I'm giving this place three stars because living in the city there are a lot of options that trump TUK and are less $$$.  This is nice place I could go every once in a while for lunch or an early dinner, but I usually  like to run away from the Loop immediately after the work day.  Ultimately, I think TUK will bring in the client/business crowd and Metra commuters.

We ventured out of the comfort zone of always ordering from Butterfly and tried the Urban Kitchen...Mistake.
Not great.
It was fine, I don't really have a complaint but I don't have anything great to say either.
I will stick to my usual spot.
It was worth a try....

While the food at T.U.K. is rather good (not the best, but better than average), I can only give this place 2 stars because I have been repeatedly frustrated by the poor service.  Poor service once I excuse as an "off day".  Poor service twice, and I'm slightly put off.  But every time I have been there - and even when I've ordered take-out to go - I've experienced slow service, longer than estimated preparation times, and simply not getting what I ordered.

Calling in a take-out order, we had to wait so long that the hostess - who was very nice and apologetic - actually gave us a gift certificate.  We tried dining in the next time, but making a reservation for lunch did no good.  (I think we actually sat down AFTER people who were just waiting in line behind us.)  Tried take out again, and we got the wrong items.

The space is great.  It's close to my job.  The food is good when you get what you order.  For those reasons, I have given this place several opportunities to impress me.  I doubt I will go back again to see if the service improves, which is too bad since it's location is so close and convenient.

A group of five of my coworkers headed to Thai Urban Kitchen this past Friday for lunch - a first time visit for all of us. Based on reviews here, I wasn't sure that we'd get a table for 5 easily on a Friday lunch at NOON without reservations but we tried anyway. Upon our arrival, the hostess asked if we had a reservation (no) but was able to seat us anyway... in the very back of the restaurant near the kitchen even though the space was huge and only about half-filled at the time.  No worries.

Our waiter was polite although he forgot our drinks and brought them halfway through the meal when reminded.  The food was both creative and delicious (all plates arriving nearly simultaneously).  We all ordered something different and shared a little bit.  I had the mesculin salad for the first course and the sesame dish with tofu as the entree and was very pleased.  The sesame dish hit my threshold of spicy hot, which was nice.  There are many options here for a vegetarian as a large portion of their menu either is vegetarian or can be made so.

The prices are slightly higher than their Thai food competitors in the vicinity but the creativity in the menu and the atmosphere balances out the extra cost.  We were in and out under 1 hour, which is nice for a business lunch. We all agreed that we enjoyed the meal and would like to visit this restaurant again.

This place took FOREVER to open.  I think they had a sign saying "TUK coming soon!" back in early 2006.  You'd think with all that planning time they'd be able to have things together now.  But they don't.  The menu is pretty limited.  I ordered a sushi lunch special and it took way too long to arrive.  We ordered soup and two of the spoons were dirty.  We tried unsuccessfully to flag down our server and finally gave up.  One of the members of my group got up to the silverware stand to get clean silverware.  As she stood there helping herself, another server came over, asked what she was doing and when she told him she was getting clean silverware because no one would help us, he walked away.

The sushi was OK.  Nothing spectacular.  Hopefully the slow/uneven service is temporary until everyone gets the system down.

This is the best Thai in the west Loop, much better than My Thai. I did not have the bad experience with service that other reviewers had. My server was prompt, courteous, and my basil stir fry came quickly. The maitre d' solicited my opinion about how my meal was. The interior is beautifully minimalist with great atmosphere.

(( I believe that the bad ratings other reviewers give this place result from their comparing the restaurant to Thai in the entire city. That would be a mistake. The strength of TUK is the lunch menu and its location in Ogilvie. When you compare this restaurant to nearly all other west Loop offerings, it shines. For those of us cubicle farmers in the west Loop, TUK is a blessing. A classy, affordable place for lunch. I would not come here from Ukranian Village just for the food, but how many restaurants in the Loop are even open on the weekend? And for travelers through Ogilvie, how great to be able to eat somewhere other than "The Peoples Court", the horrible mall-style foodcourt on the Ogilvie street level. So, please, all you Yelp elite reviewers, try to place your reviews in some local context. ))

Because two of the walls of the restaurant are windows, it was a bit chilly at this time (winter). But I liked being able to view the Ogilvie street scene, which is always interesting.

It is a bit more expensive than My Thai, but much better quality, and no more expensive than, say, BomBon if you go with soup AND a sandwich.

I recommend you get to Thai Urban Kitchen no later than 11:45 AM. At 11:30 everything was very quick. Many of the Loop restaurants become problematic around 12:15 or so.

Absolutely love that this kind of quality food can be found in the train station!  I go here a lot for lunches and they always manage to get me in and out quickly, even with the masses of people in here.  They run really well-priced lunch specials that, for $12-$13, get you your choice of appetizer and an entree with your choice of meat.  Their version of crab rangoon is so different from the usual cream cheese blob in a wrapper.  Here, they give you fried won tons on the side and a mix of a delicate balance of crab and cream cheese and some spice in the center.  So much lighter and tastier than what I expected.  My Pad Thai was delicious and also very fresh, with a pile of bean sprouts and egg, etc. on the side to mix in.  My only deduction is for the leaving the tails on the shrimp practice, which, when you have no "discard bowl" and no knife, makes it awkward to eat in company.

Ate at TUK today for my birthday.  I asked for my dish without bell peppers. They brought it with peppers.  The waiter was very apologetic and sent it back.

Then they sent out the wrong dish!  It seems the kitchen, rather than making the dish I had ordered without peppers, simply picked something else from the menu that didn't have peppers!  I didn't notice at first, but then I thought... hey, what is this pineapple doing here? And where's my asparagus?

The waiter was embarrassed and asked if I wanted to have the kitchen try again.  But at that point my dining companion was almost finished with her lunch, and we were due back at the office.  So I had to choke down the pineapple.

When the bill came, the waiter asked the manager to comp my entree... and the manager refused.  He sent the waiter with some coupons toward 50% off breakfast... which were in a stack at the front entrance.

Will not be back and will tell my friends.

This restaurant was packed on a busy Friday during lunchtime, but they decided to automatically seat us at the bar instead of making us wait. However, they sacrificed the convenience of seating early for possibly the worst service I have ever experienced.

We sat there for over 10 minutes waiting simply for water, then took another 25 to receive our mediocre miso soups, with yet another 20 until we got our main dish. During the meal, the waiters were rude and absolutely impossible to get ahold of. They rushed away as fast as possible. I had to ask 4 separate people to get a set of chopsticks and a soy sauce dipping bowl, which is OUTRAGEOUS!

At one point, I waved my hand to our waiter to signal him over and definitely made eye contact with him, but he ignored me! I thought our poor experience perhaps had to do with being seated at the bar, but I happened to hear the table of four people behind us complaining to the manager about their awful service as well.

To cap off this experience, I had the misfortune of catching the hostess picking her nose then inspecting her "findings" before flicking it away! This turned my stomach and I will never EVER eat here again. Thai Urban Kitchen needs to do an overhaul of their service model. I resented coming here for trying something new in the train station and wished I had spent my money elsewhere!

Not great. I went here for a sushi lunch with coworkers. Despite the fact that the restaurant wasn't even full when we walked in, there was a lot of back and forth about not having a table to accommodate our group of eight. Since it was ridiculous, we thought, to have to split the group into two tables, we opted to sit at the sushi bar (in effect filling up that entire space) since that was presented as the only option. Sushi was only average, and I have experienced better (cheaper, friendlier) even just picking up a pre-packaged tray (aka supermarket sushi) at a grab and go spot. A coworker and I ordered tea, and were stunned when the bill came and each cup was $4 (for tea bag and puny cup-not even including refills). Service was so slow that I almost felt like I could have been to Japan and back by the time I finally extricated myself from this place.
