Thai Thank You has never let me down! We've ordered delivery AND eaten in the restaurant, each time service is wonderful and super polite.

The delivery driver is amazingly friendly and never ceases to make me smile. We don't live that far from TTY but in crappy weather it's nice to have delivery. The food is always hot and fresh. And most importantly- DELICIOUS! always on time or even before their estimated arrival time.

    Dining in

Every time it's always either just my group or my group and 1 other table. Our food came all together and in a very timely manner. Water glasses constantly being refilled. The crab Rangoon is awesome! I'm falling in love with their curries. I've never had anything to complain about.

Not too expensive. Worth every penny!

    Try Thai Thank You!!!

I've never actually been in here, but I've ordered from them twice and been really happy both times. First of all: online ordering! Second: they were open on Christmas! Already they earn a couple stars for those things alone. I like having the time to waver over my order and debate with myself, then take forever finally placing it.

Anyhow, delivery takes a reasonable amount of time and the service has been SUPER friendly and polite. Awesome! My orders have been correct and accurate both times despite ordering a bunch of random little things.

Their fried tofu owns really hard, and I love the sweet-and-sour w/ peanut sauce that comes with. Their vegetable rolls were crisp and tasty, and the cucumber salad is really nice and has a good sauce for it as well.

The lemon tofu is great, as lemon chicken is one of the few things I truly miss as a vegetarian - I'm glad it's a pre-existing menu option (not something I have to special request) and that it costs less than the chicken version! Certainly not the world's greatest food, but it's a good option for an ex-lemon chicken fiend like myself; the sauce is really nice. Pineapple fried rice is also good.

The only minor disappointment was the Thai custard, though that might have been a side-effect of traveling so far and steaming itself to a weird consistency in a closed styrofoam container. I finished eating it, but it really wasn't that great. I usually like Thai custard and this seemed to have potential, so it may be better in the restaurant proper.

Anyway, the food's solid and the delivery is timely and convenient. I support these folks.

Ordering online, woohoo! For some reason nothing makes me love a place more than allowing me to become even more of a social leper by eliminating a phone call.

I like the green curry and egg rolls. :) Wasn't the greatest curry ever, but definitely delicious. Can't wait to try more.

Nasty. Everything tasted over-fried and stale. The crab rangoon tasted like it had been sitting in a deep drier for an hour. I still can't quite get the after-taste out of my mouth. The edamame looked old and withered - and tasted as it looked. I will not be ordering from Thai Thank You again.

We have been ordering this for 5 years! We get the same thing everytime....chicken pad thai, pad khee mao and steamed shrimp shumai. The crab rangoon is also delish!  We have never actually eaten in the restaurant because the take-out is so good. Plus there is not much around the location other than Xsport and whole foods so I think that is why they aren't usually busy. I highly recommend this place...the food is delish, the delivery is always accurate, and they are super friendly.
It is our Sunday night go to----definitely try it!

I went here for some take out on a Friday night when I had no dinner plans. I thought it was a bad sign that on a Friday night there was only one table of two in the restaurant, but I was pleasantly surprised!! I ordered steamed potstickers and vegetable pad thai (two of the most unadventurous thai foods to order) and both were delicious. Plus I loved the online ordering...an easy way to avoid an awkward phone call. Maybe since I had some simple food it was good, but I will definitely be going back to see if the next order lives up to the last. If not, then maybe there will be an explanation for the vacancy that is always there every time I walk by. I don't get it.

I was starving during lunch a couple days ago and went here reluctantly when I saw that Pho's was closed for vacation.  It was two, so a bit late on the lunch side, and thus, no one was in the restaurant.  Was planning sitting there and eating, but the place was depressing, so I go up to the girl at counter and ask if I could take the lunch special to go..

Got their Pad Thai in literally 7 minutes.  It came with my choice of appetizer and I chose Spring Rolls.  When I got back to work to eat it, the Pad Thai was still steaming!

The spring rolls weren't that good, it was on the more chewy side.  The Pad Thai: "It wasn't bad" is probably the best compliment I could give the dish.

The decor is much to be desired and food seems pretty average.  I won't be coming here since there are other Thai places around that are much better.

Having just moved to the neighborhood, my roommates and I were looking to try a new place on a beautiful Saturday night in July.  All of the patios around were packed, but Thai Thank You was completely empty. I found this very odd for a Saturday night, and found no real reason that this should be the case.  The menus have beautiful pictures of the food, and there are tons of great options.

I had duck curry, which was delightful.  All of the food I tried lived up to my expectations, but the only thing that wowed me was the rice that came out in a little heart shaped clump.

Service was pretty mediocre.  There were 5 of us eating, and they brought out all of our entrees one at a time, with 2 minute intervals between each.

I have a sixth sense about delivery drivers.  We don't have a doorbell for our second floor apartment, so I have to rely on this superpower to detect when my food has arrived (I can usually make it downstairs before they can even get their phone out to call).

After ordering from Thai Thank You, I got a tingling spidey sense and saw a delivery guy outside of the apartment across the street.  I opened the window and heard him saying "Thai Thank You, Thai Thank You" over and over again.  Apparently the restaurant had ripped the ticket where the address number was and the delivery guy just had to guess.

He guessed wrong but was extremely nice and apologetic when I walked over to him and clarified the situation (he was in the process of calling me when I saw him).  Problem solved, we got our food and it was delicious.  The green and red curries are bold and spicy, and the steamed pot stickers are a perfect start.

There are so many Thai places in the neighborhood to choose from, but TTY is near the top of my list because of the great food at a good price point.

I've walked by here a few times, and decided to give it a try with some friends.  We had egg rolls, shrimp rolls, teriyaki chicken and orange chicken.  The egg and shrimp rolls tasted like soap, and the chicken dishes were literally inedible.  They tasted like they'd been left in the fryer about 10 minutes too long.  That, coupled with service that could only be described as "leisurely" ensures I will not be back.

I will say that my panang curry was edible, but the serving was disappointingly small (as it was for the other two dishes).  But, as edible as the curry was, the poor quality of the rest of the meal still makes this place worthy of a single star.

Nice clean restaurant with enticing menu pictures and the like.  I went in for lunch and was waited on almost immediately.  Prices were fair on the menu and they had a lunch special set.  I ordered one of the noodle dishes with chicken.
I'm not sure what's happening in this city, but the portion sizes at Thai restaurants are TINY.  They were also at this restaurant.  The food and noodles were perfectly spiced and presented, but there was so little of it that I was done in about 5 minutes.  Yes, 5 minutes.  And I'm not a HUGE dude with a pig of an appetite.
So if you're not super hungry and want a nice meal. This is the place.  Value is not great, but they are nice people with a good-tasting product.

Pretty good delivery Thai here.  I usually order the same thing every time I have thai.  That being said, I've had all those dishes many times from many different restraunts.  Everything I had was up to par.  Noodles were perfect, curry had a nice zing, and the som tum was spicy as all hell, just how I like it.  Really damn good.  Quick delivery.  It really hit the spot!  I'll order again.  Maybe a little more spice in the red curry next time.  George like his chicken curry spicy.

For starters i love Thai food - all thai food.  This place is pretty sub par (and i am not picky with thai)

Quick delivery with their online ordering service - but everything is pretty bland / dry.  When i did pick up - the place smelled very weird.

This place is less than a block from where i live but i will typically walk 3 blocks more to get Asian Avenues on Belmont.

I stopped in here for a late lunch (around 3pm) to kill time before my nail appointment at CiCi's up the street.
I ordered the Nam Tok and the Green Curry with tofu.  I don't know if the people complaining that this place's food is bland were there on an off night, or if the chef this afternoon is just one of their better cooks, but both were surprisingly and pleasantly spicy, and generous with the beef (and tofu).  I thought the prices were reasonable, comparable to most Thai places in town and the portions were larger than I expected.  I suspect that like every other restaurant in the city that offers a lunch special, the portions are smaller if you order that instead of a la carte like I did.

I was the only one in the restaurant, but the girl working behind the counter was friendly, and as attentive as I would've wanted her to be.  I don't really know this neighborhood, but I would consider going back to this place.

This is my favorite Thai place to eat in the city thus far!!!  I try other places and it's just not the same (actually my boyfriend ordered Thai last night and it was only "ok" to say the best... I am ordering this behind his back tonight to give my taste buds good flavor!)!  I am a picky eater and love their food but I bring my friends from out of town there (vegetarians, vegans and meat eaters) and they always love it!  I rave about it all the time and I believe I have created many regulars out of my friends too!  And I swear the food taste even better the next day as leftovers!

One time I was stuck sick in the city and I couldn't go home for Christmas and I ordered there to go (I lived like a block away they probably thought I was lazy) it made my entire Christmas that much better because the owner always is my delivery driver and he's always smiling and thanks you a 100 times for ordering!    Needless to say it was a good moment on an awful sick Christmas!

Pad Thai is my favorite, Crab ragoons are way better than most, cucumber salad is very good, Pad woonsen is yummy too... actually I have no complaints at all for any of their food!

Thai, BYOB, and catching up with friends is easily one of the best ways to cap off a bland Monday. Last night, I was with a few friends and we planned on going to Asian Avenue at the busy corner of Ashland, Belmont, and Lincoln. We quickly found out that they were closed...bummer! However, right down the street was Thai Thank You. Before we went in, we stopped at Whole Foods to grab a bottle of wine to enjoy with dinner.

I can't say that the decor of Thai Thank You stood out. Pretty basic, bright orange walls with flower wall art. It was nice because it was quiet and all the tables were spread out enough that we didn't overhear other guests. Our waitress was very pleasant and took our bottle of wine and brought it back in a bucket of ice. We started with the edamame which was very warm and came quickly.

For dinner, I decided to go with the tofu and broccoli. Yum! The portion was perfect and the food tasted great. Tofu and broccoli is a basic dish, but if the broccoli is cooked wrong, it tastes like you're chewing a tree branch. Not the case here! The friends I was with got a fried rice dish with tofu and orange chicken. Both were pleased!  We didn't go with a desert, but the waitress was happy to bring over a bag of candy for us! I thought that was really sweet.

A pretty basic Thai restaurant, but there was a little extra with the service and the food was solid. Enjoyed it!

Thai thank you, But no thank you.   Yes that is what we call it.   So here is what this junk is,If you walk out of there with this:):):)on your face, you  are wrong.   Here are some reasons we did not like it.   We went  there when it had been 1 month old and it was not busy and it was horrible service. It felt  like it was 1hour to get our food,But it was 45 minuets .Oh !Oh !Oh!  and the shrimp came out raw,Oh and the bubble tea did not taste like real bubble tea - if there was such a thing as soft serve bubble tea, then that is what it was.

Bye, and also remember, Thai Thank You, but no thank you!

An ideal diet plan would be to order from this restaurant as you will undoubtedly starve.  Though the food can be adequate, the delivery is unreliable.  Only 1/3 of my deliver orders ever arrive as placed, and my most recent delivery order never arrived at all.

Even more unforgivable, this could have been alleviated but our first call to the restaurant to check on our order resulted in a staff member blowing us off by telling us our order was already on its way.  In reality, our order was lost on the floor and never fulfilled.  Only after an hour and a half and our third call on the order did someone actually take a moment to track down our lost order.

Staff at the restaurant was indifferent telling us to take it or leave it.  The staff implied that the owner of the restaurant was there, and when we asked to speak to him or her, they refused.

We haven't even begun to talk about getting our credit card refunded back.

This restaurant is a third rate food emporium that is unworthy of the ratings on Yelp and its desirable location in Lakeview.  Avoid unless you enjoy heartache and starvation.

I really wanted to eat here again to see if my previous review would remain unchanged. Also, I wanted to see how their online ordering system worked and how good their delivery was. Some places are pretty bad about it and it is always nice to know that if you are feeling lazy you can just have them bring it to you and you don't even have to pick up the phone to do it.

The online ordering system works pretty well. It gives you nice descriptions of most of the menu items, if not all, and is easy to navigate. It is, however, pretty slow. It isn't slow to the point of frustration, though, and I actually do not enjoy ordering food over the phone so it is just fine for me.

My girlfriend and I ordered the vegetable rolls to share. She got the Pad Thai and I got the Pad Woonsen. Both were good, although the Pad Thai was the weakest dish we've had from Thai Thank You. It was a bit dry.

Delivery was very quick and friendly. We will be using it again.

Thai Thank You is a nice little place to eat in or at home. They are also BYOB, so if you do go, take a bottle of wine and enjoy. If you stay home, still drink some wine.

    No thanks... Thai Thank You!

So I was driving home last night and happened to have my usual 9 o'clock craving for Thai food (that's totally normal right?). I pulled over and decided that I would try out Thai Thank You! I'm somewhat of a Thai food slut and pretty easy to please.... or at least I thought I was.

I only ordered two dishes and thank goodness because that alone was enough of a waste of money. I ordered spring rolls which were totally devoid of any flavor. I suppose if had drenched them in sweet and sour sauce that might have helped in the flavor arena but that's not my style.

Also, I ordered a bowl of Tom Yum Soup with chicken. I consider myself to be a Tom Yum consiour since I order it at just about every Thai place I go to so I feel that my review is pretty respectable. And let me tell you, it was simply bland broth, a few measly pieces of chicken, and a few sad tomatoes and onions - where was the flavor and the spice? I like my Tom Yum to be so flavorful it makes my eyes water. And to think that I risked getting MSG poisoning for this....

As soon as I saw the Thai Thank you sign go up I needed to try it.  I can agree with other reviewers that it was nice to finally see an open business on that stretch of Lincoln.
We started off with the pot stickers, very good!  Our meals were great, the chicken with veggies and the Pad See Ew were cooked to perfection.
Thai Thank You has great prices, but don't expect to take home leftovers, the portions aren't as big as most Thai restaurants in the area.

The staff is so friendly and you gotta love BYOB :)

My fiance and I have now made the trek past Pho's twice now, heads hung in shame, to pick up takeout from Thai Thank You.

The curry is by far the best I've had in Chicago - the right amount of spices, plenty of basil, and fresh vegetables.  The red curry with noodles and the panang curry are both fantastic.  We also tried their pad thai, which was outstanding, and the pad woon sen, which my man liked but I didn't really care for.

With a coupon (on the back of the takeout menu), you get a free order of crab rangoon or egg rolls - we went for the crab, which was crispy without being too greasy - quite tasty.

I'm not sure about the table service, but give this place a shot for takeout - it's great!

Eating from Thai Thank You is a lot like Bikram Yoga: It's an experience that only white people would enjoy because they think they're doing something culturally diverse.

I hate to do reviews of places after only one experience, but considering that they opened within 2 blocks of my beloved Pho's, I felt I had to comment. My biggest complaint about any restaurant is when they put the chili pepper icon next to a dish to indicate how spicy it is and then hand me something flavorless. I ordered the Chili Pepper Chicken from TTY not expecting something as spicy as Pho's, but as least something that would cause a sniffle or two. No such luck. I've had black bean soup from Whole Foods that is spicier than this. The chicken was very over cooked and extremely dry. In terms of portion, I'd say there was about 1/3 the meat that a similar dish would have at Pho's. Even if the chicken wasn't overcooked, there was still no flavor at all. The rice was pretty good though, perfect stickiness!

I've seen a lot of comments about how nice they are, but I didn't have that experience. It could be written off as an off night for the person who took my order and rang me up. The room is much nicer than the Susie China, so there is something to be said for that. I have no reason to give them a second try as I can walk less than 2 blocks and get much better food at Pho's. But, if you like your food dry and void of spice, stop in to Thai Thank You.

Thai Thank You is the third of probably many more to come Thai restaurants that have opened near the six-corner intersection of Belmont, Ashland and Lincoln. Thai food is great and all, but does there really need to be so much competition? Even Chinese restaurants in this area are starting to offer Thai food!

I ordered shrimp pad thai, chicken panang curry, crab rangoon and a mango smoothie for takeout. The crab rangoon was free with an online coupon.

The mango smoothie was way too icy, the pad thai was "meh", the panang curry lacked thickness and subtle spicy kick, and the crab rangoon was tasteless and was on the verge of losing its "lotus" form. All of the portions were small.

Despite how unimpressed I was with the food, I was impressed with the clean decor, how it's B.Y.O.B., and the exceptionally polite cashier. The cashier is definitely a person to add to my "nice people" list.

Went a few days ago at that odd time between lunch and dinner. We were pretty much the only people in there for the whole meal, except one other guy eating by himself. Our server was not overly friendly, but she was attentive. We received our food pretty quickly, but probably because we were the only people there.

Started with the crab rangoon. I actually really liked it here. It was piping hot, and we could actually taste the crab and something else was dominant (onion or garlic?). Anyhow, I liked it.

I had the Thai thank you noodles and the bf had the duck curry. Although I only had 3 shrimp in my entire meal, I thought it was tasty. I did ask for it to be medium spicy, and it still came out pretty mild. I guess they thought I would send it back if it was too hot. I ended up adding that Thai hot sauce that is on the table to it. I tasted the bf's duck curry. It was sweet and creamy, and actually had big chunks of meat.

It wasn't bad. It wasn't spectacular. I thought the prices were average. I might stop by again, but only if I was in the neighborhood.

I walk past this place on the way home from work, and at 9:30pm, after a long day, nothing sounds better than not cooking and picking up some Thai to go, so inevitably, this place had me in the door within a month.

I was greeted by an adorable young woman who asked if I had a take-out order, and when I awkwardly asked to place one and wait, she was very friendly and brought me out some water. She said it may take 15 minutes, but I had my food in 10. Quick and reasonably priced, very friendly.

I got the basil fried rice, and let me just warn you, if there is a little picture of a pepper next to your dish, proceed with caution. I stupidly thought that in a dish full of red bell peppers, the green pepper was also a bell. It was a near-death experience. But everything I could taste before that point was delicious.

They have only been open for three weeks and their entrees are perfected and highly consistent, appetizers are to-die for, and service on the weekends is very knowledgeable and friendly(always giving out free stuff to returning customers).

I recommend Thank you noodles and fried rice, all their curries, especially the duck curry, Pad thai is alright, Pad Seew is pretty good.

EVERYONE who likes Thai food should go here!!!
    P.S.- its BYOB

Certainly not a bad thai option, but with Pho's right up the street it's not gonna make it as my first choice.

    7:30pm Thursday.

Crappy day at work, so what's for dinner? Thai food, of course!

I remembered getting a pretty little menu rubber banded to my door and broke it out. A little online ordering and about 30 minutes later, I had panang curry, beef salad, curry fried rice and free crab rangoon delivered to my door.

The crab rangoon was probably the best I've had in Chicago. The beef salad was good as well. If anything, it was a little heavy on the beef. It wasn't quite as "fresh" as I'd like with less veggies and more meat, but  still very good.

The panang curry was fantastic and so much! There was so much chicken that it'll definitely be split into two meals. The curry fried rice was okay, if a little too light on the spice. Since there was so much panang left over, though, we just spooned some over the curry fried rice, and it was perfect.

I live close, so the delivery was fast and the food was hot. I will definitely be ordering again soon!

I don't understand why this place isn't that popular. The food is really good! I love Thai food so I have been to many Thai places to find which place is my favorite. I have to say this is my favorite spot. There are so many good Thai dishes besides pad thai, so I push myself to try new dishes and now instead of pad thai, I love pad bamee (stirred fried egg noodles with meat and veggies). Whatever they put in it, it's amazing. They balanced the sauce, salt and sugar to perfection and just makes you crave for more. Something simple with noodles, vegetables and meat and they make it phenomenal. My boyfriend ordered chicken lard nar and not only did he finished it, he drank the rest of the excess sauce off the plate. It was that good.

These folks are so nice and they deliver some great food.  The pad kee mow is ta-dow!

I think it is a family owned place and the whole family works there.  The guy who i think is the patriarch of the group is super nice and says every english word in total soprano.  Super nice folks and very good food.

Even went in once for lunch and service was phenomenal...i was the only one there, but it was great.

This place is fantastic.  I've ordered take out and dined there at least 5 times and every time the food has been delicious.  I love both the Tom Kha and Tom Yum soups.  I've gotten the Pad Thai just about every time with the exception of last night when I chose the green curry...LOVED IT!  I asked for it mild and it still came out pretty spicy so beware.  The service is great and I love the BYOB aspect.  There is a Whole Foods a 1/2 a block away and you can grab a bottle of wine or some beers there.

We ordered lunch for the office and were able to try a variety of goodies.
    Veggie Roll - super yummy
Crab Rangoon - decent, I have had better elsewhere
Pad Thai - run of the mill, flavor could have benefited with a little bit of kick
Pad Woonsen - eh, not really my thing.  I was glad I didn't order it.
Seasame Chicken - very greasy dark meat breaded chicken.  It had a great taste however I could have gotten a belly ache from all the grease.
Thank You Noodles - I think it was the best entree of the lot. Noodles were perfect and the amount of goodies in it was great.

Perhaps it's personal taste, but I like a little punch with my thai food. Unfortunately, I found Thai Thank You to be rather bland. Sauce was watered down and the amount of meat left some to be desired. In fact, I ordered extra meat for $2.00 and it still didn't have a lot of meat to it (I doubt there was even a full chicken breast in my dish and that is with the extra meat I ordered).

The delivery was quick and nothing was screwed up. Portions were small though compared to a competitor such as Penny's. I was hoping this would end up being a nice Thai place, but there are simply too many good alternatives in the area to bother.

This place is awesome. I go there about once a week and their carryout is quick, service is very friendly and the food is what gets me coming back for more. Truly a keeper, my goal is to try everything on the menu. So far so good. They offer bubble tea as well. One of the waiters informed me that they are always trying to come up with new flavors like oreo with cherries and coffee with honeydew(which works incredibly well).

Tried the pan-fried chive dumplings(so simple and delicious), crab rangoon(light and garlicy), papaya salad(so fresh!), the pepper garlic beef, the curries, and most of the noodle dishes. The fish isn't the greatest, but everything else is simply amazing!

Delicious food, cute decor, lovely paintings, and it's super clean.  I'm picky about my Asian food establishments, but this one really takes the cake.

The only con I could find was that the male server who is usually working is not as attentive as he could be, but he was very nice, and the female server was a doll.

    Definitely suggested.

My honey was in the mood for some thai, and whatever honey wants....

Ordered online, which was a straightforward process, they have pretty good coupons, which thankfully were easy to use with the online ordering.  The menus is simple, and since we were both hungry, we were not too adventurous.   We got three appy's and two entrees, and overall very happy with our order.  Edamame - the usual, as long as they're hot and salty I'm good.  The crab rangoon, while a little light on the crab, provided lots of crunch and flavor.  The egg rolls were good also, albeit a little greasy.  Kudos to Thai Thank You for the way they package their fried goods, nothing was mushy!  For entrees the spicy seafood and duck curry were on deck. from now on to be known as Yum and Yummer.  The spicy seafood was loaded with shrimp, crab and veggies, which I tried, but my honey ate with relish (the verb, not the noun).  My duck curry rocked!  I loved all the pineapple goodness with the moist duck.  There was just enough heat to keep it interesting, without me having to reach for a cold compress.  For everything we ordered we got a free side of fried rice which rounded out the meal nicely.  And finally the thai custard provided the final touch of sweet to a really good meal.  I hope we get to actually come and visit this place, as it's a byo, and not expensive at all, there is only 1 (one!) entree in double digits, and that only barely  (10.95).
