You know how when you go to NYC or San Fran to visit friends and they talk about about how their respective city has the best Sushi in the country?  Ask them why?  Are they close to a major fishing port? Multiple tributaries? A Gulf? Rivers? They will try and spin something to make you feel like YOU don't know what your talking about but the simple fact is these cities wouldn't know Sushi like this if it was dating their mothers.

Thai Thai sits on the central florida coast, which is within 2 hours from the Gulf of Mexico, Lake Okeechobee, the warm waters of the Caribbean and the temperate and cold waters of the Mid Atlantic.  Across the street is the salt water Banana River and a few miles away is the fresh water Indian River.  The reason I am giving you this incredibly boring and seemingly pointless geography lesson is to make the point that Thai Thai sits in the middle of a mecca for different types of fish.  EVERTHING here is straight off the boat, including some of the staff I think!  Service is decent but I recommend sitting at the bar and watching Jose prepare the fish.  If your wondering how you are going to tell who Jose is, look for the mexican Arnold Schwarzenegger.  You can't go wrong with anything on the menu and even though this place is packed during lunch ( I am pretty sure it's mandated that everyone in the space industry eats here at least once a week (United Space Alliance is actually next door)) and dinner the staff is great about getting people seated super quick.  They also have a great selection of Japanese beers.

The only detractor I would say is the outside.  The flamingo colored office building it's housed on the first floor of looks like a place where Donnie Brasco would meet his FBI handlers at to unload taped conversations of low level mobsters.

A final plus would also have to be it's attraction to high level NASA officials who frequent the spot daily.  If your a contractor or are looking for a little face time "by accident" you may want to stroll in with a smile and a marketing packet between 11:30am and 1pm.

Also Thai Thai closes every day for about two hours.  I believe it's from  2-2:30pm to 4pm so plan accordingly.

This place came recommended to us by our bartender at the Hilton. I have to say, I wasn't really impressed. There were 10 of us there, and although the service was great, that's about the only thing we walked out of there liking.

I had the pad thai, which was okay, but nothing special. I also shared a salmon roll with a girlfriend was was really disappointed with the size of the fish, especially considering what we paid for it.

Pretty much the same story for all 10 of us - small portions, high prices, meh food.

A real popular lunch spot.  I've been here a couple of times and there is usually very few seats left in the dining room or the sushi bar.

3 words.  Yellow Mango Curry.  So delicious, with the just the right amount of spice for my weak pallet.  Comes with soup of the day, a spring roll, and a hefty portion of sticky rice for just $8.95.

The only thing that keeps me from describing it as "As good as it gets" is that the service has been a bit aloof.  But, with that being said, I'm still a fan.

Had dinner at Thai Thai when I arrived in town and it was excellent.  I had the spicy tuna roll and some salmon sashimi and it was very fresh.  The service was outstanding.  Highly recommend it if in the area.  I plan to go back.

Stopped by here the night before boarding our Disney Cruise. The food was good, and they had a wide selection of it. The place was nice and clean, the staff was courteous and attentive.

It is very expensive though...

We live nearby. We eat, or get take-out all the time.

WHAT A GODSEND. It's pricey, but we love the food. If we're lazy, they're the ones we get take-out from. If we're celebrating, we eat here and buy the big boats. If we feel like a dinner out...yup, we'll go here. Sure, not ALL the time, but when we want great food on short notice...they're here.

The food is just alright. We ordered salmon skin roll and avocado roll and the salmon skin and avocado were so small we could hardly see them in the roll. The place is really small too, and I felt like the waiters could care less about me, but then again I was sitting at the sushi bar so it was easy for them to ignore me. The only time I really eat here is for takeout because it's so close to my house and the Thai food comes in decent portions. Also, it's one of the restaurants that's open past 9pm, so it's good for that too.

Thai Paradise at 520 and A1A is much better, in my opinion.

I've been to Thai Thai a few times while in the area vising KSC, and it is definitely one of the memorable parts of my trips.  First time, we stayed at the Radisson right across the street, with no rental cars, so we ate here a couple of times.  I had sushi, which was excellent, and I've had Thai here, which was excellent.  Everything is fresh and well spiced, they have a nice variety of beers and drinks, and the atmosphere is casual and warm.  I will say though that is is a rather small place and every time I've gone has been right at the dinner hour, so I've had to wait a few minutes to get a table.  But, as mentioned, in other reviews, they're great for take out.  Once we figured that out on our second trip down there, it was all lovely.  Can't wait to go back to Merritt, I'll definitely be stopping here again.

Thai Thai is hands down, one of the best sushi places I have been to in my life.  Sushi has been one of my favorite foods for a long time and it has always been difficult to find a place that is relatively inexpensive, yet still high quality.  Even when I went to Japan, some of the sushi I enjoyed wasn't up to par with Thai Thai.  I love this place!

YUM!! Thai Thai has and amazing variety of fresh and delicious sushi, entrees, sides, and drinks! It gets loud on a busy night, but I cannot wait to go back. Going to Thai Thai is a small consolation for having my best friend move to Cocoa Beach, but it gives me even more incentive to head back for a visit. In the 4 days that I spent in Cocoa Beach, we ate at Thai Thai twice. I hear the Thai and Japanese food is also excellent, but I ate so much sushi, I didn't have time to notice. My tummy is happy just thinking about Thai Thai!

This really is as good as it gets in the Merritt Island/Cape Canaveral area.  The sushi, yellow curry, mango curry, and pad thai are always great, fresh and delicious.

Lunch or dinner, it's always busy, so expect to be in close quarters with your neighbors since the restaurant is a little smaller.  Even if there is a line, it's definitely worth the wait.

Great sushi! There are plenty of people who say Thai and Japanese don't belong together, but personally, I like being able to have a bit of both at one restaurant.  I have had better Thai dishes before, so I usually stick to the sushi, but many of my family members and friends who don't enjoy sushi just love the Thai food.  I think it really depends on the individual menu item that you order. The restaurant is small and cramped, which detracts slightly from the great food quality, but you can get over it when you start digging into the sushi.
