My wife and I give Thai Sabai two thumbs up!

We were recently in LA for a long weekend and feeling tired and stressed from travel. Sore muscles, stiff necks, etc... We chose to get a Thai massage because, well, my wife is Thai and also because of the emphasis on stretching and muscle therapy. We're glad we found Thai Sabai!

I didn't care for the parking situation when we first drove up, but after realizing that it's valet we had no problem at all. Just go with the flow here, folks, and you'll be fine. The outside shopping area is a little hectic, but we came for the massage, and once you step into Thai Sabai you're in a totally different world.

The music and decor envelope your senses and carry you away from the hustle & bustle of the outside world almost immediately. We were received warmly by the friendly staff and shown into our private massage area (we were in a private room together the entire time, each with our own masseuse).

All I can say is WOW! I'm an athletic person and stretch a lot on my own, but I've never experienced this level of stretching before. I believe my masseuse has a deep understanding of anatomy and how muscles work together. She frequently asked if I was comfortable with the level of stretching going on as well.

This massage was better than expected and exactly what we both needed. We were completely relaxed and loose afterwards!  I've rarely experienced such a sensation of stress and tension evaporating away so noticeably.

The best part is that it was affordable, so we'll be back the next time we're in LA!

Went back to Thai Sabai last night...and although my neck, back, and knots are feeling much better today...I must add:

THIS MASSAGE IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART!

It is not the type that will lul you to sleep...it hurts!  But fixes.  There were moments where it was a bit too intense...hence the lowering of 1-star.  All in all...still a great very affordable option.

Just be aware that you're getting a thai massage.  I'm used to swedish massages, wasn't ready to have an old, slightly overweight woman jam her feet into my back and twist me into a pretzel.  I think everyone around me could hear me grimace from pain/attempting not to show displeasure.

Made me wait 15-20 mins before getting seated, not bad, didn't make a fuss.  I just wasn't prepared for that type of massage, was not relaxing.  that is all.  Buyer beware

I went here for two reasons.
    1. I had a Living Social deal that I needed to use.
    2. I had a knot the size of Texas around my left shoulder blade that was causing me so much pain, I was wincing whenever I lifted my arm up.  It was pretty ridiculous.

I had been to this little mini-mall before because of Red Corner Asia, and the place that sells pre-packaged Thai candies, and desserts.  But I had never noticed Thai Sabai before.

My masseuse's name was East ("Opposite of West", as she so kindly said right after she said her name.)  She was tiny, but very very strong.  When she asked me how I wanted my massage, I told her that I liked very firm pressure, but I didn't want her to make me cry.  She was perfect.  She was able to give me a total body massage, and she also paid special attention to my left shoulder blade.  I was very close to tears, but not quite, and my shoulder definitely felt a lot better the next day.  I was very satisfied.

I've never had a Thai massage before but after a stressful few weeks a friend convinced me to go with her. I was a little concerned after reading what Thai massage was, but i figured I'd give it a go.

I also had East - she was amazing. Pressure was perfect and an hour and a half later I felt like a new person. I plan to go back once a week now. What a fantastic way to treat yourself!

I LOVE massage and have been to many places, but I have to say this place is the BEST!!!!

I always ask for East (that's the name of the masseuse). She is really awesome. She asks you what part(s) of your body is giving you a problem, really understands it and does the GREATEST massage! Ummm...!!!

And the place has nice atmosphere, is very clean and comfortable.

    I highly recommend it. :)

Yeah a 1. Aside from the elbow/forearm to my spine, no not across my back, more like holding yourself up with your elbow on my spine and the foot stomp on my tail bone, I guess it was good?

The real problem was the lady (my masseuse) who we paid. Gave her the Living Social deal and she flipped. Insta-mean mug. Shaking her head. Throwing her hands up like she didn't just save a lot on her car insurance. Stormed off, came back and said "we have to redeem these," pissed as hell. Uh, yeah, thanks for killing the experience.

What the f*ck is the problem? I already paid for this damn thing. Why are you having a temper tantrum? Redeem it? Huh? Makes no sense.

    Another never goin back.

    Love,

    -Me.

I have to agree with my sister on this one!  Like many other people, we came here off the Living Social deal. It was actually a gift.

I was a little skteched out by the reviews...mats on the floor? curtains separating you? weird outfits? not what i'm usually used to wheni go to get a massage.

It actually much better thani could have even expected! So there is a communal room with separating curtains but its not that bad. You hear a few slaps and ooh and aahs here and there but it isn't anything that totally messes up the mood.  You get so into your own massage you won't even be distracted by anything else.

They give you these shorts (kind of like scrubs with an elastic waist) and a matching haler top with no back to wear. I went with my sister so they put us in a shared area with no curtain separating us which was cool.

They came in and went to work. My massage lady was awesome! Her name is EAST and ii highly recommend her!  She used hot towels (which felt awesome) some hot stone rocks, knees, elbows, arms and who knows what else. At one point she was rolling her knees into my thighs and butt and it felt so good. She worked all my problem areas with just the right amount of pressure.

At no point was anything unbearable or uncomfortable, it all felt great and just what I needed. She cracked a few bones and rubbed out all my stress! I would definitely come back here again...and for $45/hour or $85/2 hours you cant go wrong?!

And the next day i didnt feel sore or in as much pain as in other massages.

Sidenote:  Really awesome Thai food place right next door!

It really is quite embarrassing to be a grown-ass woman and defeated to tears by a 5 foot chop-knot master.  I love this place for a few reasons:

    1: reasonably priced
2: great skillfull massages, I feel like ass afterwards--IT'S GREAT!  If I can't move the next day IT'S EVEN BETTER!
3: they have donut-shaped pillow-like things to stuff my face into (unlike other places that have a pillow and you crank your neck to the side which sucks...)
4:  I can treat myself to Red Corner Asia for some awesome Thai food next door, then head over to the bakery

I call it my 'Thai Day'...I'm a lot more pleasant after days like these.

I've been there twice, once at each location.  First time was at Westwood, and I would have given it 4.5 stars.  But after today's debacle at the Hollywood location, I'd give it 1.5 stars (rounded to 2).

Westwood: clean facilities, nice enough staff, painful but great massage.  I've had plenty of massages in my life, but that was my first Thai massage, which apparently incorporates stretching and yoga.  It was great, and I already knew I wanted to go back.  Good thing, since I had another Living Social coupon.

Hollywood: facilities not as nice, and the staff was rude.  I presented my Living Social coupon on my iPhone, but they said that it had already been used at the Westwood location.  They said I would have to call and speak with someone over there, so I tried calling.  No answer.  I called TEN times, and no one would answer - and the voicemail inbox was full.  When I asked someone from the Hollywood location to call (hoping the Westwood people would recognize the number and pick up), they said they couldn't help.

In short, I drove all the way out to Hollywood, got my Living Social voucher denied, couldn't verify said voucher's validity with the Westwood location because they don't pick up the friggin phone, and got no help from the staff at the Hollywood location.

Boo Thai Sabai.  You just lost a customer because you were too lazy to help out.  Maybe they're biased because I'm "just" a voucher customer.  Perhaps they're a victim of their own success...but I won't be a victim of their laziness again.  There are plenty of other places out there that are probably better and well-priced.  But for their horrible customer service, they would have had me hooked since that was the first and only Thai massage place I've ever been to.

Went for first time based on yelp! reviews, and I wasn't disappointed.  I carry a lot of stress in my shoulders/neck/should blade area (who doesn't?!) from both my job as well as working out.  I had Gaam, who was tiny, yet powerful!  Somehow her little fingers found every knot and worked me over with the help of tiger balm.  What a relief!  I can move my neck sans pain, and my shoulders aren't on lock down.  I'll definitely be going back.  Not to mention, it shares a mini mall with some kick ass Thai food :)

This was an AMAZING MASSAGE by Mint.
I received a gift certificate. Called, made the appointment. I  arrived to see a beautifully simple, clean and relaxing space with many diplomas, certifications, and awards on the wall. I rang the little bell, then off to massage land. I was immediately relaxed. Mint spent a long time working on my problem areas. I got the 1 hour Thai and Swedish Combo. I felt relaxed, stretched, invigoration and like my muscles took in a large breath of oxygen...that's a good thing! The prices are great..I believe $45/hr. that does not include tip...;)

Who needs a chiropractor when you have the option of Thai massage.  If you want someone to caress your skin softly and help you relax while new age music wafts down from the speakers, go somewhere else.  The walls are thin at this location and you can hear the music and the conversation from the establishment next door so if you're looking for a place to shut out the world and disappear into another dimension, this isn't it.

But if you want a really good Thai massage, you've come to the right place.  Having been to Thailand and had Thai massage every day at Wat Po, the ultimate training ground, I can tell you that Thai Sabai offers  the genuine article.  That means mats on low tables in a communal room.  You're lucky Thai Sabai has privacy curtains.   And new age music.  And quiet therapists.  And the option of oil.   At Wat Po you don't get curtains, you don't get music, you definitely don't get oil, and the therapists chat away in Thai during the entire massage.  But then again, you also get an hour massage for $12 (at Wat Po in Bangkok, not Thai Sabai in L.A.).    Those of you complaining that Thai Sabai is not relaxing, stop complaining.

I spoke to the owner  (because I wanted to use my Living Social in combination with another offer) and he was very gracious and accommodating.  He also reminded me to let my therapist know the kind of massage I wanted and the right pressure.   This is really common sense, people.  If you don't want it hard, tell them so!

If you want to get your joints realigned and your muscles worked and stretched beyond what you thought possible, you'll love this place.  Yes, you might be sore the next day but only if you're a masochist like me and don't know when to say when.  My partner likes her massages super gentle and she loved it because she told her therapist from the get go to use gentle pressure.  So it is possible to get a gentle Thai massage, but where's the fun in that?

I came in for the Living Social deal from a while back, and left feeling a bit unsure. It was a vigorous massage for sure, that little Thai woman bent me in ways I never knew possible. But I can't say that I felt great after. Maybe Thai massages aren't my thing but I was stressed out the whole time because it hurt so damn much and I tried to relax but it was not possible at all.

Funny story though: some chick brought her obviously insecure and overcompensating manfriend who kept yelling as they were waiting for their appointment: "Why is it so gdamn quiet in here? What do you mean 'be quiet'? I just don't understand why it's so creepy in here. IT'S SO QUIETTTT!!" Unfortunately they were gone by the time I got out of my appointment so I couldn't say anything to him but hopefully you are reading this: Hey you, douchebag, grow up before I donkey punch you in the face.

Parking sucks at this place. I hate valet but street parking is sketchy.

The way the "rooms" are divided is a bit claustrophobic. Good thing I was on the floor next to my mom, otherwise, it would have felt really awkward to have someone else that close to me. I know that they're divided just like that in Thailand but there are some things that we don't need to replicate in the US since we are not a third world country. I love massages and I've have plenty but Thai Sabai was not all that memorable.

My masseuse didn't really put her body into the stretches. Stretching at the end is my favorite part of any Thai massage.  Since most of the masseuses are so light, the only way they can really stretch out your muscles is by leveraging their body weight against yours.  There were quite a few times when I thought she was going to push forward a little more or lift up a little higher and she just didn't bother to try.  I noticed that the person working on my mom next to me did a better job at that.

It was a good thing I went with a LivingSocial coupon.  Even with Tip, it came out to about $32 for a one-hour massage.  It was an excellent value but unless there's another amazing promotion like that, I won't be back.

Once again Thai Sabai is my favorite massage center. I went to another spa with a friend who urged me to no end but I was so disappointed since I was not treated anywhere near as courteously as at Thai Sabai, ....so who needs that?. Plus Thai Sabai is much prettier. Now it's even won my friend over! She won't go anywhere else either..
    .
The clean Zen space just clears my head and I lay down to a treatment of complete release and relaxation. The therapists here really know Thai massage. I love it!

I have gone to so many other spas and haven't received half the attention or the deep, skillful massage that I get at Thai Sabai, so this is where I will
    keep coming!

Really good massage, they incorporate muscle stretching, even loosened my low back w/a stretch remnant of what my chiropractor used to do, just not to his extent.

Comfortable setting, it FLIES by man, feels amazing, great amount of pressure, it hurts a bit but you need that. Suck it up! I did, she had to ask, "Are you okay?" b/c I was not speaking, just trying to get lost in the experience.  How often does someone get this luxury? I'm just a regulaaaahh, everyday, normal guy.

$45 for one hour, and when we gave tip, they seemed genuinely surprised and thankful.  That made me feel good, when ppl are gracious instead of expecting 15%-20%.  Frankly, it's the business's job to pay their employees a living wage rather than passing the buck to the customer. Dig! F-outta here w/mandatory gratuity.  It's the principle.

Back to the point, love Thai Sabai, and they use HOT STONES on your back.  Ess noiiice!! Dazed, I floated to Ruen Pair restaurant next door, for the best green curry this side of Thailand, I vouch!  Make a night of it.

Oh yeah, I got the massage for 1/2 price cuz of an online deal.  Wish I got 20 of em. Place is dope.

I really like this place.  I've been to Thai Sabai about 8 or 9 times now and have had a good experience each time.  Parking is easy in their valet lot or there's tons of metered street parking.

It is very clean and modest inside, the therapists are all very polite, good at their massage and also have great customer service skills.

I am a big fan of a very DEEP, deeeeep tissue massage, so if you want that:  see Super Pat or see Mary.  They both can go reeeeaallly deep into your back.  And, i'm not just talking about walking on you and elbowing you to death, btw.  They know how to use their thumbs and hands with great pressure.  I hate a massage that has too much elbow work b/c honestly it can only go so far.  I want to relax and feel someones fingers on my neck and massaging my oh-so-tight shoulders and lower back.

The price is, obviously, extremely reasonable- cough!(cheap) - and they have a very professional ambiance.  There are drapes that divide the massage cubicles (which is Thai traditional) and if you wanna get a couples massage, they open the divider so you can see each other (so cute!).   All Thai massage is done semi clothed so you don't have to worry about gettin' neked, cos you can either bring your own sweats or use their little shorts & halter top.

Take a deeeep breath and leerax....you'll enjoy this massage.

I have a new best friend and her name is East.*

Like a lot of folks here, I had a LivingSocial deal, but I think they've got a full-price repeat customer in me.  I've had Thai massage before, but this one felt the most... well... productive.

East applied the perfect amount of pressure.  In my case this meant quite a bit, because I had some major knots in my upper back.   Sure, some bits were a little painful/uncomfortable, but that's more about my back than the massage, and the pain never went past the point of feeling therapeutic and fleeting.

Plus, I found myself becoming total putty in her hands.  Normally I'd probably have been having thoughts like "Hmm, where is my arm going" but nope. It was more like I was observing myself be (lightly) contorted, since I was stretching, but not under my own power.   Very cool.

Valet parking is a bit of a pain, but at least it's cheap, fast and the guys are super friendly.  If I have any complaint, it's that the massage doesn't take place on one of those tables with the hole for your face.  My neck felt a little cramped, even when I switched sides.   Still, I left relaxed and with much happier, looser muscles.

    * I'm certain I'm butchering the spelling of her name.

The parking is a nightmare in this Valet only parking plaza. My friend and I got stuck waiting over 20 minutes because someone parked behind us and didn't give their keys to the valet.
As for this place, you hear people coming in and out, talking about their day, because the waiting area/entrance is 10 feet from the massage area. So although there is music, there is constant additional noise which really disturbs the massage process. Pho Siam is much better, better massage, quieter, more professional...the lady who was massaging me actually talked to other people during the massage. I will be going to pho siam next time

I really like the massages here (Nancy is quite good), and I find the place to be attractive and clean and I would love to make it my regular massage spot BUT it's freezing in there! I've been several times from late last summer to early December, and it's been cold every time. The last time I went they were nice enough to turn on a small heater in my massage room, and gave me an extra blanket, but I have ended the massage freezing cold every time. I've overheard another customer say the same thing.

I will say I get cold easily. My bf doesn't, and he's okay here. So if you're a warm-natured person you will possibly be just fine. But alas, I will have to relegate this one to very warm days and find another spot for the rest of the year.

I am a big massage person, and usually try to find different and unique experiences.
The GOOD: True Thai massage, where they will "work you out" a bit, and get you relaxed. They will give you little pants and a tie on blouse to wear. The facility is clean and the massage therapists are friendly and hard working.

The BAD: The wall to the massage room doesn't go all the way up, so there are ALWAYS idiots that walk in and don't know HOW to walk in to a massage parlor like this. WE CAN HEAR YOU WHEN YOU ARE AT THE FRONT DESK! And by we, I mean EVERYONE that is getting a massage! The massage room is one room with curtains dividing the individual rooms.
Oh, and we can ALSO HEAR YOUR WHEN YOU ARE TALKING TO YOUR THERAPIST!
    AND SNORING!!
SO basically, shut up when you walk in and get ready for some relaxation.
The UGLY: Make sure you get a big enough outfit...mine was a little "snug" :)

For the past 5 mornings, I have woken up with the worst neck and back pain, plus have had headaches all day. I googled Thai Massage in Hollywood and found this place on yelp with lots of awesome reviews.. so I went!

You guys weren't lying! I just had the best massage....possibly ever. Granted, I've had too many swedish massages in the past, but am definitely sticking to Thai massages from now on. It felt amazing. I told my masseuse where it hurt most (because she asked) before we began, and she worked long and HARD on those spots. It was much needed. A little painful at times, but I wanted the knots gone so I let her do her thing. I love all the stretches they make you do....even though I'm hardly flexible.

The place is extremely clean and they have relaxing music playing. The rooms are nice, dimly lit, and comfortable. The curtains didn't bother me at all. I couldn't hear anyone else in the place throughout my entire massage.

AND, at the end, they give you a bottle of water and offer hershey's chocolate! How perfect? I will definitely be back!

I had a Living Social deal for 50% off an Hour Long Massage at Thai Sabai in Hollywood. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Thai massage, it involves a lot of guided stretching, being stood on...it's more "work" than a "normal" straight-up relaxing one.

When I first moved to L.A. I used to go here a lot, but have since found other massage places that are much more pampering for the same price. Thai Sabai is less private, a little rushed (my masseuse was a bit gruff and disconnected) and I don't like that it's on the floor instead of a table (where my face is smooshed into a pillow, rather than supported in a head rest).

Still, you get to wear a cute little outfit! And with the Living Social deal, the whole thing cost about $30, with tip. For that price, I'll just suck up the lack of privacy/comfort and shower off all the cheap baby oil they slather on.

But for the regular price, I won't be back.

    3.7 to be more precise.
For the price in LA, it is what it is.
The place looks questionable outside, but it is very CLEAN, professional inside and provides a very relaxing atmosphere.
My masseuse asked and checked with me where I want the pressure points to be focused on, and if the pressure level was okay, at all the right times. When I wanted gentle - she went gentle, when I wanted power, she kneaded the spots. Satisfactory technique. Only thing is, didn't use enough oil, though my masseuse's hands were quite soft (not rough like carpet: thai barai)
I personally think it was very enjoyable that they don't separate you with a curtain from your partner, so that you and your significant other can enjoy the massages together.

Thank you Living Social for the AMAZING deal!
Because of the awesome coupon, I finally checked this place out. Yes, my name is Edna and I'm frugal like that. PLUS, Thai Herbs and Spa is my #1 go-to place for the BEST Thai massage in Thai Town. Too bad I didn't buy 100 of these 1/2 off coupons! waaaah!

I came in for 1hr, but added an additional hour because it was that AMAZZZZZZZZING! My massage therapist worked her magic and applied her amazingly therapeutic masseus skills on me.

p.s. p' EAST: you are amazzzzzzzzzzing ka!
p.p.s. Did I mention how AMAZING this place is? haha!

Best bodywork ever! They incorporate so much - massage, muscle stretching, yoga and acupressure. Every time I am visiting Los Angeles from NYC, this is a must stop!

ok - so Thai Sabai is on a strip mall with Valet Parking even though parking space is only half filled.  So deduct a point from location and deduct another for useless valet.  But why 5 stars?

Stepping into Thai Sabai was like night and day.  It was all serene with cool ambient music.  Plus, they have free hershey chocolates to munch instead of cheap candies.  The place was nice and clean with extremely courteous staff.

I've never had Thai massage before, but they made me do all these contortions that I couldn't imagine my body can do.  I had the mistake of asking for a "HARD" massage.  I judged the masseuse by her height and body mass compared to myself, needless to say, I was wrong.  Thai people must be the strongest people on earth pound per pound.  I swear, even cows will wimper after a hard Thai massage.  But I'm proud so I endured it.  But being enduring can be very embarassing.  The masseuse stretched my leg so hard that I let go some methane and disrupted the zen like atmostphere.  Poor folks who were in the same room must have written bad reviews about Thai Sabai, that's why I'm here to reclaim the glory that is rightfully theirs.  I heard a little giggling here and there, so I closed my eyes and pretended that I was transported to some heavenly place and enjoyed my massage now set to "MEDIUM".

For the reasonable price of $45 per hour, excellent ambience and expert masseuse, Thai Sabai gets 5.

    Where do I begin?

I came here on Mother's Day without an appointment and luckily, they were able to fit me in. Gaam, my masseuse, was just awesome. I've lived in Thailand for a couple of months and got Thai massages every week, so I know exactly what to expect... and boy, did she deliver! Yes, I read some other reviews about the curtains between each room... yeah, that is just how it is in Thailand! There are no private rooms for Thai massages since you're not naked! They give you shorts and a halter to wear.

Anyways back to the massage itself. I've been to places where they ask you to indicate on paper which areas you would like to get worked on. They don't have  a sheet of paper here, but they still asked. I told her my upper shouldes and neck was hurting so she gave that area extra attention. She was told me to let her know if the pressure was too much or not enough. Though at times, it was a bit harder than I'd like, it felt GOOD. Since she knew my shoulders were hurting, she also bought in Tiger Balm (which I LOVEEEEE!) to use on my back. Just the perfect thing that I needed!

I was hoping they would have lemongrass tea at the end, but instead, I got a bottle of water, which was nice. And all this for $45!!!

At the end of the massage, Gaam asked me how I found out about this place, and I told her Yelp. Hehe, thanks for not letting me down, Yelp!

Sabai means relaxing or comfortable. So why haven't I visited Thai-Sabai sooner? I go to Thai Town so often, and I had seen the massage parlor for quite a while before reading the reviews. I never thought I needed to get pampered here...Or maybe I thought that a decent massage parlor would never be found in New Hollywood Plaza.

    Well, I THOUGHT WRONG.

After I read the reviews on Thai-Sabai, I really wanted to check this place out. I visited the website and found out that they now offer skin care services (at the Thai Town location only). I was interested in Spa Back Treatment the most because I had been neglecting my back. As a girly girl, I have a few tops and a couple of dresses that reveal half of my back...It wouldn't be a good view if my back wasn't smooth. So I began my plan with my boyfriend...

Me: Honey, I want to go to a Thai massage parlor.
My Honey: What for? You don't need a massage.
Me: They offer skin care services too. I wanna get Spa Back Treatment. You should get a Thai massage since you haven't tried it.
My Honey: No, I don't want a massage. I don't feel comfortable when random strangers give me a massage.
    Me:...
My Honey: Really, I don't need it.
Me: OK. If you don't want to go with me, I'll go with my friend Joseph. We'll probably be put in the same room while I'm half naked.
    My Honey:...
    Me: Hello?
    My Honey:...
    Me: Honey, are you there?
My Honey:...OK, I'll go with you.

    Great Success! (See picture: http://web.mst.edu/~dd...)

I was super excited because I had been studying for the midterm exams, and writing papers, so my body needed some pampering. As for my boyfriend, he drives A LOT and also spends most of his free time at his computer or reading some military novels. I really wanted him to experience the bliss from getting a Thai massage.

Four seconds after I rang the bell, two ladies appeared with smiles on their faces. The esthetician escorted me to the first facial treatment room, while my boyfriend was escorted to a massage room by his masseuse. The esthetician referred to herself as "P'Boom," and she instructed me how to put on the soft, white robe for the spa back treatment. She left the room for me to undress my top.

The treatment began, and I didn't want it to end. The heat blowing against my back was so comforting. P'Boom asked me if she was hurting me, and I told her, "Oh, not at all ka." When she put the French mineral salt scrub on me, the following thoughts were going through my mind:
"Oh, yes. Scrub those dead skin cells away!"
"I wish my boyfriend knew how to do this..."

Then when P'Boom started the massage, I really felt like sleeping. It was soo good! I'm very ticklish, but I could stand anything that would relax my back. I'm especially ticklish around the lower back area, and P'Boom probably noticed because my feet went flying a bit.

Oh, and the sea mud mask. P'Boom put it on my back and wrapped it with plastic wrappers for about 10 minutes. Once I got out, P'Boom gave me a bottle of water. She told me that Thai-Sabai has been offering the skin care service for 4 months now. They still have a special promotion: all skin care services are 20% off! The Spa Back Treatment was originally $55, but P'Boom charged me $44 only. P'Boom really lives up to her nickname because she is the bomb. She's available from Thursday - Sunday, 10 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

When my boyfriend walked out, he told P'Boom that he was glad I dragged him here. "Yeah, right! Your jealousy dragged you here!!!" My boyfriend said his masseuse got power! She even got on his back and stretched him. My boyfriend felt bad for her because her stomach was growling. He asked if she wanted to take a break. Of course, she said no. My boyfriend is a kind and funny guy. He feels bad for feeling good. He told me before we went to Thai-Sabai that he once got a massage in China. The masseuse complained to him that she felt tired. He told her she could cut short the massage session, and so she got the money and left...WTF?! *Warning: the following conversation contains politically incorrect and insensitive idea.*

My Honey: I felt bad when she said she was tired, so I told her she could stop.
Me: (Looking at the Thai waitress who was taking orders from the next table) You see how she's working her a$$ off? Did she complain to us that she was tired? NO! That's what service is all about! You should never hear a masseuse complain that she's tired, and leave you when the job's not done! Oh, well...You should know the Chinese are notorious for giving bad service.
My Honey: Yeah. They're never meant to be service people. But how come I'm such a good service person to YOU?
Me: That's because you love me...and maybe it's because you're a weird Chinese man...

I don't know how this litlle old Thai lady turned into Hulk Hogan during my session, but I wasn't amused. Despite the number of times I said "OWWW!", in which she would reply "So soddy!", my bruised shoulders tell me I must've slept with her husband in a previous life.

Considering the number of rave reviews, I will come back for another go. Just not with Mrs. Crazy Cuckold.

Hell yea...Knead me, step on me, do whatever you want, Thai masseus.  Do as you please while I slip into a state of bliss.

And then I'm rattled from my relaxed state, thanks to the woman who was moaning and groaning throughout her massage.  It made me wonder, "holy crap, what do I have in store for me?!  I didn't sign up for THAT kind of massage."  Then another woman screams "It's gone!  Where did it go?!"  And I'm all , WHAT'S gone and WHERE did it go?!

Overall, my first Thai-style massage at Thai Sabai was awesome.  It was clean, inexpensive, and semi-relaxing (hello, I know it hurts, but please keep your grunting to a minimum).  Thank you YELP for introducing me to Thai Sabai..I don't think I'll be going back to those boujie joints for a massage!

    4.5 stars for the massage!!

    1 star for the service/management

During my hour, there were moments where I literally thought I was in heaven and wanted to drool . . . I didn't tho.  My masseuse was an older thai lady with glasses and she was so great (especially for my first time).

    Why the 1 star you ask? I'll tell ya . . .

My appt. was at 6:30 pm and I arrived at 6:38 pm.  When I arrived, they didn't even have me on record for the 6:30 appointment.  At 6:55 pm, I started my massage.  At around 7:30 or so, the OWNER knocks and says, "Sean, I am sorry. Because you were late, we have to cut it 15 minutes short. Is that okay?" So, I said, "What?? I came at 6:38 and my massage didn't start until 6:55. Why are we cutting it short?" She says, okay and tells the lady in Thai to continue.

Talk about a B.K.!! (buzz kill) It ruined the moment and I was trying hard to let it go.  I did UNTIL the end.  Maybe they overbooked, I don't know and I don't care. They can't say it was b/c I was late because they didn't even have a record of me calling in.  When I paid (a different lady), I asked if I could talk to the lady who gave me the massage because I wanted to give her the $ directly (that's just how I am).  She says, "Ohhh, I'll give it to her instead."  I said, "Can you please bring her because I'd like to say something to her also?"

She then walks away and THROWS HER HANDS IN THE AIR!! Yep, I said it.  I was looking at her and I said, "ohhhh hell nooooo" and I even did the 3 finger snap in a Z motion with a head twirl.  Okay . . . maybe I didn't do that but you get the picture.  My masseuse comes back and I give her the 20 and thank her in Thai.

What a disappointment after all of the rave reviews from Yelp.  This might be an exception to the norm but this was a bs experience other than the actual massage.
