I put 4 stars for what is probably 3 star food.  The people were just so nice... run by a Thai family that greets you upon arrival and actually wants to know their customers and be a part of the community.

Food wasn't as good as what I've had in other cities but I have a feeling for Dallas (aka NOT Garland) this is the best it's going to get.

I requested the food extra spicy and that it was... had the basil rolls for an appetizer, 3 to an order.  Again, not the best I've had but still satisfied a craving.

It was an enjoyable experience and a great place to go relax and eat outside the box every now and then.

Went here with a family relative and wow, I'm glad I did.
Authentic, fresh, and made by REAL THAI people it was very good.
We had the lunch special and it was plentiful with a soup in the beginning of the meal.
My chicken spicy fried rice was so spicy I was actually tearing. (Which I normally don't do at all, unless it was a mean slab of wasabi).
It was very good and yes, a hole in the wall at a ghetto neighborhood is correct.
But it should not fool the nose and taste of a person who sincerely enjoys Thai food.

Grabbed takeout for dinner one night after work: pad thai woon sen with tofu from Thai Rice & Noodle.  It's a little dive on Fitzhugh just off 75.  The neighborhood is sketchy, which made me want to try it even more.  The restaurant has all the charm of an ethnic hole in the wall.  It's family run and cheerfully, if sparely, decorated.  The entree itself was fair.  The takeout carton was overwhelmed with shredded cabbage.  The noodles themselves weren't particularly flavorful.  And my fears that it would be greasy were way off the mark-- if anything, it's a little on the dry side.  But for some reason, I'm rooting for this place, so I'll be back sometime in the next few months.  Probably when I get a craving for pineapple fried rice.
