Thai Landing was very first experience eating Thai food.  That was back in 1996...though I've moved around a bit over the years, I've made a point to hit Thai Landing anytime I'm in Baltimore- and it's just as good as ever.

Seriously, I can't say enough about this place.  I would be content with this being the only Thai food I've ever eaten, because everything else pales in comparison.

I always start out with their spring rolls- couldn't tell you what makes them so special, but they are delicious.  For my entree, I always order Kapow with chicken.  They ask you to tell them how spicy you'd like it, on a scale of 1-10.  I usually request a 7 or an 8- and as another reviewer indicated, they definitely love the spice factor, so keep that in mind while ordering.

For dessert I order the mango with sticky rice.  Again, very typical Thai dish, but something about the way they prepare it makes it amazing.

Fantabulous Thai!  Tends to run on the spicy side, so order a star-step down from the heat level you usually choose at Thai places - I like spicy, but I still want to taste the food!  The older gentleman is the waiter to get - he knows the food well and always makes the best sggestions from their specials.  One of the best Thai options in B-more.

In Mt. Vernon there are 3 thai restaurants that I have frequented and like superheros, each has it's own strength.  Thairish is cheap and rather delicious for the money. Banthai has a huge menu and authentic family owned feel and taste.  Thai Landing is fancy and refined.   It's a bit expensive for the type of food they serve, but the service is top notch, the dishes exquisite, and the atmosphere very pleasant.  If you have a special occasion and are craving Thai food, this is the best option.  If you want cheaper and simpler then travel a few blocks on N. Charles St. toward downtown.

Really liked this place.  I have had trouble finding good Asian food in this area - and I think I have solved my problem.  

The staff is very friendly and the food is wonderful.  The menu is very extensive - with good explanations of the dishes.

I would recommend this place whole-heartedly!
