I recommend the following:
thai iced tea
beef satay
pork spring rolls
green curry
drunken noodles - very spicy!!!
thai sausage fried rice
chicken pad sea-eaw
We order here often and it helps that they offer curb-side pick up since parking is non-existent where they're located. -

Have been here for Lunch A few times now and have yet to be disappointed. my wife usually order the box lunch and the last time I was there I fell head over heals for a dish its a must try for everyone who loves Food Tom Yum Shrimp Noodle Soup with grounded pork on the Lunch Special for Lunch and Holy Cow it is Yum Hot spicy and just really really Good. I don't know much about Thai Food but I can recognize quality and This soup is top notch from what I can see This place is the best Thai Place in Greenwich.
Thai Iced Tea is also very good and Refreshing. -

GFDF (gluten free dairy free) rating - Five stars
I had lunch at Thai Basil last week with a friend, after doing an internet search of gluten free, dairy free restaurants in Greenwich, CT. I am GFDF, and my friend is dairy free. We thought this restaurant was fabulous. The waitress instilled the kind of confidence that a client with allergies always hopes to find - not only did she know what gluten and dairy are (not a given, believe me) but also she could speak intelligently about every item on her menu and what it contained. All of the food is prepared fresh in the kitchen, so they quickly whipped me up a Bankgok Box with green bamboo, eggplant, green bean, red pepper and basil. I ordered mine with tofu, but you can also get meat, and the GFDF selections are plentiful. The food came quickly and was fresh and very affordable (my entry was $9 - great for lunch on/near Greenwich Avenue!). -

I'm not quite sure if I have a right to rate this place. I've been here about 5 times now and 4 out of those 5 I ordered the Tom Yum soup, and the beef pho once. I CRAVE this soup and have to have it once a week..not to mention everyone in my office who has tried it has the Tom Yum monkey on their backs...It is that good! The pho was good too...One of these days I hope I get a little adventurous and try something else on the menu, but I can't commit to that

Excellent drunken noodles. Staff is super friendly and meals are properly priced ($11-18.)
+ I got the 10% off my meal by checking in with Yelp :) -

We went to Thai Basil because of a groupon coupon, so we got quite a deal. That said, the Pork shish-ka-bobs were worthless. It was one of the specials but there was nothing special about it. Dry and tasteless.
The pad thai was very good. Personally, with so many Thai restaurants around, I think there is no excuse for bad dishes. So, order at your own risk. -

While Thai Basil may not be super authentic Thai, it is super delicious Thai.
Drunken noodles extra spicy and a lychee iced tea is the perfect day-after drunken-night meal.
The dining room is cozy and the staff are welcoming. And, I kinda love the place settings and dark wood chopsticks.Listed in: I hate CT.

- overall rating: 4.5
- as a general rule of thumb, I only order pad thai at thai restaurants that I've never been to before, I hate nothing more than being disappointed in my food and its hard to get pad thai wrong, with that being said, its not that common that pad thai is done right either. . . in conclusion, BEST pad thai of my life
- definitely gained my confidence with their pad thai and if I'm ever in the neighborhood again, i will surely try everything else on the menu
- quick service, almost instantaneous
- more expensive than what I'm used to paying for thai food but totally worth it -

New Haven, CT
Definitely not the best red curry I've tried. Occasionally, the curry at some Thai places has a faint odor that resembles something unpleasant, and this restaurant was one of those places.
I only ate here once, but I have a strong allegiance to the other Thai restaurant across town.
The restaurant itself is kind of hip and well decorated, and the waitresses are nice and attentive. -

I ordered their boxed lunch. It came with Beef with peanut and coconut sauce, salad, 2 dumplings, and rice pudding with corn. I was not able to finish my meal, but it was very good. I was too full to try the rice pudding, but with the corn in it, not so appealing. When I checked in on Yelp, I received a 10% off coupon off my bill!

I have noticed the food is not as good as it used to be. I recommend the rice main courses, the noodles are a bit soggy and the soups not great. On a positive note the staff are very nice and service is excellent.

After walking around Greenwich all day, my friend and I decided to stop in for a bite. We both are always craving thai and we noticed the high ratings for this particular place. Best decision ever! Thanks everyone for posting such great reviews.
I had drunken noodles with chicken. I love spicy foods and this was prepared with just the right amount of kick. My friend had the green curry with chicken also. Neither one of us actually like Curry, but since we saw such rave comments, he knew he had to try it. Another great decision of the day. For drinks we ordered Iced Thai Coffee. I am a hugeee coffee drinker and I usually drink it black. They prepare it with milk and some type of sugar. The coffee was strong enough to still taste it and it made for a divine drink especially since milk alleviates pain from spice. On top of that, the service is speedy! -

DRUNKEN NOODLES here are perfect! delisioso!!! the waiters are enormously helpful and friendly - the second my gluten free friend asked what the noodles were made of, she said they could make whatever she wanted gluten free. WOWZA! For Greenwich, the price is definitely right. Great place.

What makes a 2 hour commute to Greenwich, CT almost worthwhile? Good food.
I ordered a delicious Pad Thai for dinner tonight. I usually stay away from pad thai just because it's so standard. However, every now and again, I get in a pad thai mood. Tonight was such a night.
It was great. Slighty tangy, crunchy with peanuts and sprouts, soft chewy rice noodles, and spicy (because I was liberally applying siracha sauce). None of that fusion stuff. Just plain unadulterated Pad Thai.
I didn't expect to find good Thai food in Greenwich of all places. Worth the 2 hour commute (4 hours round trip)? Of course not. Very little is worth that, but Thai Basil did soften the blow.

This Thai food is really good, and there aren't that many Thai options in Greenwich. It is right across from the train station, which makes it convenient if coming to or going from Greenwich.
The staff are usually very attentive and quick to take your order and bring out the food. They have really great lunch specials that include a ton of food for a decent price. I really like the pad Thai and the yellow chicken curry. The ambiance is nice as well, but the place is a little on the small side.
4 stars for the service, 4 stars for the food, and all around a good place. I only knocked off a star because it is really hard to find parking, and even when you do you can only get an hour on the meter! Damn Greenwich! -

I have never set foot in the place but the take out is always reliable. a nice treat during a work day and although it is not super authentic, it still is good for someone like me who doesn't pretend to really know authentic.

This place is very easy to get to. Street parking is available. I ordered a takeout with Pad Thai and Thai fried rice. Food was very spicy and hot. It came to approx. 20 bucks but it was a lot of food and worth it. Its a very modernized Thai cuisine place. I will definitely go there if I'm in the neighborhood.

Went with a groupon. Food was really good! We had the penang curry with chicken, chicken and shrimp pad thai, tom yum soup. All were very good. Curry was nicely balanced and not too spicy. We've been looking for good pad thai for a while, and Thai Basil's delivered. Staff was very sweet and helpful.

After a hearty breakfast of Jill Devlin peedly-cakes, tartlet, and a couple hours of documentary about Galapagos, it was time to make a decision regarding lunch/dinner. I had been craving pad thai for nearly a month and thankfully Thai Basil was right up the street, practically in walking distance. If it weren't raining. And we weren't lazy. And delivery wasn't in full swing. Unfortunately delivery wasn't available on Sunday, so we found some parking and picked up our tasties.
Sweet chili wings were epic. Tender lil drumsticks soaked in a sticky chili sauce, I could probably have ordered a few plates of those and been satiated while the table surrounding my plate was saturated. In sweet chili sauce. Sticky?

But lo! We also ordered the drunken noodle with duck and some shrimp pad thai, both were delicious. Although, the shrimp in the pad thai didn't taste fresh and they still had their tails on which is sort of an inconvenience to me unless I'm having shrimp cocktail. But the noodles were well cooked and a liked the significant portion of sprouts served with my noodles. I had never had drunken noodle before, the duck was incredibly juicy/succulent and the noodles delightfully sloppy with a bit of kick to them. Boi had a thai iced tea, which was probably the best I've ever had (more creamy and blended than I was used to) and I had a lychee iced tea, with two baby lychees sitting at the bottom of the cup. Both drinks had just the right amount of sweetness and were not over the top in flavor.Listed in: While at Boi's

Vegans do well at Thai Basil. All our special requests were handled graciously, excellent service. Wouldn't have the vegetable dumplings again, the added corn made them sweet. A little pricey, never had to pay for green tea before.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. So much that I will travel 30-40 minutes to get it.
The highest quality ingredients, great ambiance, yummy flavorful food, and great prices.
My favorite is the green curry lunch special. You get: salad with a delicious dressing, brown rice, chicken green curry (with green beans, bamboo, red bell peppers, eggplant), two dumplings, and a desert for $9 - generous portions too.
This is my favorite Thai place ever. And definitely one of my top 3 favorite restaurants in CT. LOVE IT! -

The clear choice for Thai in Greenwich. Extremely greasy though, which keeps me away.
