If you end up getting stuck at the Hilton for a week long conference with limited access to a car, Texs will be the place to go. The place has multiple personalities, it is a sports bar and it is also a restaurant, surprisingly, it draws a good deal of outside patrons despite the fact that it is located in the Hilton. It is fairly well known as a Sports bar, but the food is pretty good too, albeit a bit pricey.

Just because this place is located near/ in the Hilton hotel doesn't mean they have to charge a small fortune. I asked for a birthday shot they said sure then I get charged for it. 3 drinks cost me $24 bucks. My husband and I bought some chips and queso the chips were so stale I had to ask for new ones. $15 bucks for chips n queso is ridiculous! The waitress was nice but once we asked her for new chips she never came back.

We were here for the Iowa football game today. The U of I Alumni Association hosts game watches here. Unfortunately, it's gone downhill dramatically from 4 years ago when the game watches used to be here.

    +Iowa won!

-Chips and Salsa were $6 and a VERY small portion
    -Service was spotty, at best
    -No longer offer free popcorn

If you are staying at the Hilton, this is probably an easy option to grab a beer and some overpriced food. If you aren't staying at the Hilton, stay away!

I came here to watch a Bears game while i was in San Antonio.  This place DID NOT DISAPPOINT.  Hands down, the best Bloody Mary I have ever had--spicy and delicious.  They also had really good popcorn that they give out for free, as it is a bar.  There are TV's all over the place so you can see a game (or a few) no matter where you ended up sitting.  We also ordered some wings, which were good, but not as good as the Bloody Mary and Popcorn.  At least I had sometime tasty to cry into as the bears' season came crashing down.
